ಜ್ಞಾನೋಕ್ತಿಗಳು 11

1 ೧ ಮೋಸದ ತಕ್ಕಡಿ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯ, ನ್ಯಾಯದ ತೂಕ ಆತನಿಗೆ ಸಂತೋಷ.

A false balance is an abomination to Jehovah, but a just weight is his delight.

2 ೨ ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯೋ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಚಿಕೆ, ದೀನತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಜ್ಞಾನ.

When pride comes, then comes shame, but with the lowly is wisdom.

3 ೩ ಯಥಾರ್ಥವಂತರಿಗೆ ಸರಳತೆಯು ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶಕ, ವಂಚಕರಿಗೆ ವಕ್ರತೆಯು ನಾಶನ.

The integrity of the upright shall guide them, but the perverseness of the treacherous shall destroy them.

4 ೪ ಧನವು ಕೋಪದ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ವ್ಯರ್ಥ, ಧರ್ಮವು ಮರಣವಿಮೋಚಕ.

Riches do not profit in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death.

5 ೫ ನಿರ್ದೋಷಿಯ ಧರ್ಮವು ಅವನ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಸರಾಗಮಾಡುವುದು, ದುಷ್ಟನು ತನ್ನ ದೋಷದಿಂದಲೇ ಬಿದ್ದುಹೋಗುವನು.

The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way, but the wicked man shall fall by his own wickedness.

6 ೬ ಧರ್ಮವು ಯಥಾರ್ಥವಂತರನ್ನು ಉದ್ಧರಿಸುವುದು, ವಂಚಕರು ತಮ್ಮ ಆಶಾಪಾಶಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಬೀಳುವರು.

The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them, but the treacherous shall be taken in their own iniquity.

7 ೭ ದುಷ್ಟನು ಸಾಯುವಾಗ ಅವನ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯು ಹಾಳಾಗುವುದು, ಬಲದ ಮೇಲಣ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯು ಬಿದ್ದುಹೋಗುವುದು.

When a wicked man dies, his expectation shall perish, and the hope of iniquity perishes.

8 ೮ ಶಿಷ್ಟನು ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟಿನಿಂದ ಪಾರಾಗುವನು, ದುಷ್ಟನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಬೀಳುವನು.

A righteous man is delivered out of trouble, and a wicked man comes in his stead.

9 ೯ ಧರ್ಮಭ್ರಷ್ಟನು ಬಾಯಿಂದ ನೆರೆಯವನನ್ನು ಹಾಳು ಮಾಡುವನು, ಶಿಷ್ಟನು ತಿಳಿವಳಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಉದ್ಧಾರವಾಗುವನು.

The hypocrite destroys his neighbor with his mouth, but the righteous shall be delivered through knowledge.

10 ೧೦ ಸಜ್ಜನರು ಸುಖಿಗಳಾದರೆ ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೆ ಉಲ್ಲಾಸ, ದುರ್ಜನರು ಹಾಳಾದರೆ ಜಯಘೋಷ.

When it goes well with the righteous, the city rejoices. And when the wicked perish, there is shouting.

11 ೧೧ ಯಥಾರ್ಥವಂತರ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದದಿಂದ ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ಉನ್ನತಿಗೆ ಬರುವುದು, ಕೆಟ್ಟವರ ಬಾಯಿಂದ ಕೆಡವಲ್ಪಡುವುದು.

By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted, but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.

12 ೧೨ ನೆರೆಯವನನ್ನು ಹೀನೈಸುವವನು ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನನು, ವಿವೇಕಿಯು ಮೌನವಾಗಿರುವನು.

He who despises his neighbor is void of wisdom, but a man of understanding holds his peace.

13 ೧೩ ಚಾಡಿಕೋರನು ಗುಟ್ಟನ್ನು ರಟ್ಟು ಮಾಡುವನು, ನಂಬಿಗಸ್ತನು ಸಂಗತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಗುಪ್ತವಾಗಿಡುವನು.

He who goes around as a tale-bearer reveals secrets, but he who is of a faithful spirit conceals a matter.

14 ೧೪ ಉಚಿತಾಲೋಚನೆಯಿಲ್ಲದ ಕಡೆ ಪ್ರಜೆಯು ಬಿದ್ದು ಹೋಗುವುದು, ಬಹು ಮಂದಿ ಸಮಾಲೋಚಕರು ಇರುವಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಇರುವುದು.

Where no wise guidance is, the people fall, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety.

15 ೧೫ ಅನ್ಯನ ಸಾಲಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊಣೆಯಾದರೆ ಹಾನಿ, ಅಪರಿಚಿತನ ಹೊಣೆಗೆ ದೂರವಾದರೆ ನಿರ್ಭಯ.

He who is surety for a stranger shall smart for it, but he who hates suretyship is secure.

16 ೧೬ ದಯಾಳುವಾದ ಹೆಂಗಸು ಗೌರವವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುವಳು, ಬಲಾತ್ಕಾರಿಗಳು ಧನವನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ಕೂಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು.

A gracious woman obtains honor, and aggressive men obtain riches.

17 ೧೭ ದಯಾಪರನಿಗೆ ಉಪಕಾರವಾಗುವುದು, ಕ್ರೂರನು ತನ್ನ ಶರೀರವನ್ನು ಹಿಂಸಿಸುವನು.

The merciful man does good to his own soul, but he who is cruel troubles his own flesh.

18 ೧೮ ಅಧರ್ಮಿಯ ಸಂಬಳವು ಮೋಸ, ನೀತಿಯನ್ನು ಬಿತ್ತುವವನು ಲಾಭವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುವನು.

A wicked man earns deceitful wages, but he who sows righteousness has a sure reward.

19 ೧೯ ಧರ್ಮನಿರತನಿಗೆ ಜೀವ, ಅಧರ್ಮಾಸಕ್ತನಿಗೆ ಮರಣ.

He who is steadfast in righteousness comes to life, and he who pursues evil comes to his own death.

20 ೨೦ ವಕ್ರಹೃದಯರು ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯರು, ಸನ್ಮಾರ್ಗಿಗಳು ಆತನ ದಯೆಗೆ ಪಾತ್ರರು.

Those who are perverse in heart are an abomination to Jehovah, but such as are perfect in their way are his delight.

21 ೨೧ ದುಷ್ಟನಿಗೆ ದಂಡನೆ ಖಂಡಿತ, ಶಿಷ್ಟವಂಶಕ್ಕೆ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ.

Hand in hand, the evil man shall not be unpunished, but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.

22 ೨೨ ಹಂದಿಯ ಮೂಗಿಗೆ ಚಿನ್ನದ ಮೂಗುತಿಯು ಹೇಗೋ, ಅವಿವೇಕಳಿಗೆ ಸೌಂದರ್ಯವು ಹಾಗೆ.

A ring of gold in a swine's snout, is a beautiful woman who is without discretion.

23 ೨೩ ಸಜ್ಜನರ ಆಶೆಯು ಮಂಗಳಾಸ್ಪದ, ದುರ್ಜನರ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯು ರೋಷಾಸ್ಪದ.

The desire of the righteous is only good. The expectation of the wicked is wrath.

24 ೨೪ ಒಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ಧನವನ್ನು ಚೆಲ್ಲಿದರೂ ಅವನಿಗೆ ವೃದ್ಧಿ, ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನು ನ್ಯಾಯವಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ಬಿಗಿಹಿಡಿದರೂ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಬಡತನ.

There is he who scatters, and increases yet more, and there he is who withholds more than is proper, but only to want.

25 ೨೫ ಉದಾರಿಯು ಪುಷ್ಟನಾಗುವನು, ನೀರು ಹಾಯಿಸುವವನಿಗೆ ನೀರು ಸಿಕ್ಕುವುದು.

The generous soul shall be made prosperous, and he who waters shall also be watered himself.

26 ೨೬ ಧಾನ್ಯವನ್ನು ಬಿಗಿಹಿಡಿಯುವವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಜನರ ಶಾಪ, ಮಾರುವವನ ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದ.

The people shall curse him who withholds grain, but a blessing shall be upon the head of him who sells it.

27 ೨೭ ಧರ್ಮಕ್ಕೆ ಆತುರಪಡುವವನಿಗೆ ದಯೆ, ಕೇಡನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವವನಿಗೆ ಕೇಡೇ.

He who diligently seeks good seeks favor, but he who searches after evil, it shall come to him.

28 ೨೮ ಧನವನ್ನೇ ನಂಬಿದವನು ಬಿದ್ದುಹೋಗುವನು, ಸದ್ಧರ್ಮಿಯು ಕುಡಿಯ ಹಾಗೆ ಚಿಗುರುವನು.

He who trusts in his riches shall fall, but the righteous shall flourish as the green leaf.

29 ೨೯ ತನ್ನ ಕುಟುಂಬವನ್ನು ಬಾಧಿಸುವವನಿಗೆ ಗಾಳಿಯೇ ಗಂಟು, ಮೂರ್ಖನು ಜ್ಞಾನವಂತನ ಅಧೀನದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದಿರುವನು;

He who troubles his own house shall inherit the wind. And a foolish man shall be servant to a wise man of heart.

30 ೩೦ ಧರ್ಮಾತ್ಮನ ಫಲ ಜೀವವೃಕ್ಷ, ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯು ಆತ್ಮಗಳನ್ನು ಆಕರ್ಷಿಸುವನು.

The fruit of a righteous man is a tree of life, and he who is wise wins souls.

31 ೩೧ ಶಿಷ್ಟನು ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಕ್ರಿಯಾಫಲವನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ, ದುಷ್ಟನೂ, ಪಾಪಿಯೂ ದಂಡನೆಯನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವರು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಬೇಕಾಗಿಲ್ಲ.

Behold, a righteous man shall be recompensed in the earth, how much more the wicked man and the sinner!
