ಅರಣ್ಯಕಾಂಡ 32
1 ೧ ರೂಬೇನ್ ಕುಲದವರಿಗೂ, ಗಾದ್ ಕುಲದವರಿಗೂ ಬಹಳ ದನಕುರಿಗಳಿದ್ದವು. ಯಗ್ಜೇರ್, ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದ್ ಎಂಬ ಪ್ರದೇಶವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ಅವು ದನಕುರಿಗಳ ಮೇವಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಕ ಸ್ಥಳವೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡರು.
Now the children of Reuben and the children of Gad had a very great multitude of cattle; and they saw the land of Ya'zer, and the land of Gil'ad, that, behold, the place was a place for cattle.
2 ೨ ಗಾದ್ ಮತ್ತು ರೂಬೇನ್ ಸಂತತಿಯವರು ಮೋಶೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಎಲ್ಲಾಜಾರನು ಬಳಿಗೂ, ಸಮೂಹದ ಪ್ರಧಾನರ ಬಳಿಗೂ ಬಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ,
And the children of Gad and the children of Reuben came, and said unto Moses, and unto Elazar the priest, and unto the princes of the congregation, as followeth,
'Ataroth, and Dibon, and Ya'zer, and Nimrah, and Cheshbon, and El'aleh, and Sebam, and Nebo, and Be'on,
4 ೪ ಇವು ಯೆಹೋವನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಸಮೂಹಕ್ಕೆ ಅಧೀನಪಡಿಸಿದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು. ದನಕುರಿಗಳ ಮೇವಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಕ ಪ್ರದೇಶವಾಗಿದೆ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ದಾಸರಾದ ನಮಗೆ ಬಹಳ ದನ ಕುರಿಗಳುಂಟು.
The country which the Lord hath smitten before the congregation of Israel, is a land for cattle; and thy servants have cattle.
5 ೫ ಆದಕಾರಣ ನೀವು, ದಾಸರಾದ ನಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ದಯೆ ಇಟ್ಟು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಯೊರ್ದನ್ ನದಿಯ ಆಚೆಗೆ ಬರಮಾಡಿದ ಈ ಪ್ರದೇಶವನ್ನೇ ಸ್ವತ್ತಾಗಿ ಕೊಡಬೇಕು” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಂಡರು.
And they said, If we have found grace in thy eyes, let this land be given unto thy servants for a possession: do not compel us to go over the Jordan.
6 ೬ ಮೋಶೆಯು ಗಾದ್ ಮತ್ತು ರೂಬೇನ್ ಸಂತಾನದವರಿಗೆ, “ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಹೋದರರು ಯದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವಾಗ ನೀವು ಅಲ್ಲೇ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡಿರಬೇಕೇನು?
And Moses said unto the children of Gad, and unto the children of Reuben, Shall your brethren go to the war, and will ye sit here?
And wherefore will you turn aside the heart of the children of Israel from going over into the land which the Lord hath given them?
8 ೮ ಆ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಬರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನು ಕಾದೇಶ್ ಬರ್ನೇಯದಿಂದ ನಿಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಯರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದಾಗ ಅವರೂ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಮಾಡಿದರು.
Thus did your fathers, when I sent them from Kadesh-barnea' to see the land.
9 ೯ ಅವರು ಎಷ್ಕೋಲ್ ತಗ್ಗಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಆ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಿಗೆ ಅಧೈರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹುಟ್ಟಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ತಮಗೆ ಯೆಹೋವನು ವಾಗ್ದಾನಮಾಡಿದ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಲು ಆಗಲಿಲ್ಲ.
For they went up as far as the valley of Eshcol, and they saw the land, and then they turned aside the heart of the children of Israel, so that they would not go into the land which the Lord had given them.
And the anger of the Lord was kindled on that day, and he swore, saying,
11 ೧೧ ‘ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಬಂದ ಈ ಜನರೊಳಗೆ ಯಾರೂ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಪೂರ್ಣಮನಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದ ಅನುಸರಿಸದೆ ಹೋದುದರಿಂದ ನಾನು ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮ್, ಇಸಾಕ್, ಯಾಕೋಬರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ದೇಶವನ್ನು, ಅವರೊಳಗೆ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತು ವರ್ಷ ಮೊದಲುಗೊಂಡು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ವಯಸ್ಸಿನವರಲ್ಲಿ
Surely none of the men that came up out of Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land which I swore unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob; because they have not wholly followed me:
12 ೧೨ ಕೆನಿಜ್ಜೀಯನಾದ ಯೆಫುನ್ನೆಯ ಮಗನಾದ ಕಾಲೇಬನೂ ಮತ್ತು ನೂನನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನೂ ಇವರಿಬ್ಬರೇ ಹೊರತು ಯಾರೂ ನೋಡುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ’” ಎಂದು ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದನು.
Save Caleb the son of Yephunneh the Kenizzite, and Joshua the son of Nun; for they have wholly followed the Lord.
13 ೧೩ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡವನಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಟ್ಟ ನಡತೆಯುಳ್ಳ ಆ ಸಂತತಿಯವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನಾಶವಾಗುವ ತನಕ ನಲ್ವತ್ತು ವರ್ಷ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರನ್ನು ಮರುಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲೇ ತಿರುಗಾಡುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದನು.
And the anger of the Lord was thus kindled against Israel, and he made them wander about in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation was spent, that had done the evil in the eyes of the Lord.
14 ೧೪ “ಈ ದುಷ್ಟ ಸಂತತಿಯವರಾದ ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಬಂದು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಮೇಲಿದ್ದ ಯೆಹೋವನ ರೋಷಾಗ್ನಿಯನ್ನು ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುತ್ತೀರಿ.
And now, behold, ye are risen up in your father's stead, a new race of sinful men, to augment yet more the fierce anger of the Lord toward Israel.
15 ೧೫ ನೀವು ಆತನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸದೆ ಇರುವ ಕಾರಣ ಆತನು ಆ ಜನರನ್ನು ಮರುಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇರಿಸಿದರೆ, ಈ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಜನಾಂಗವನ್ನು ನೀವೇ ನಾಶ ಮಾಡುವಿರಿ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
For if ye turn away from after him, he will yet longer leave them in the wilderness; and ye will thus be destruction to all this people.
16 ೧೬ ಆಗ ಅವರು ಮೋಶೆಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು, “ನಾವು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ದನಕುರಿಗಳಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ದೊಡ್ಡಿಗಳನ್ನೂ, ನಮ್ಮ ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಊರುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವೆವು.
And they came near unto him, and said, Sheepfolds will we build for our cattle here, and cities for our little ones;
17 ೧೭ ನಾವಾದರೋ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರನ್ನು ಅವರವರ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿಸುವವರೆಗೂ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಸನ್ನದ್ಧರಾಗಿ ಅವರ ಮುಂದೆ ನಡೆಯುವೆವು. ಅಷ್ಟರಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳವರು ಈ ದೇಶದ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳ ಭಯದ ದೆಸೆಯಿಂದ ಕೋಟೆಕೋತ್ತಲುಗಳುಳ್ಳ ಊರುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸಲಿ.
But we ourselves will go ready armed before the children of Israel, until that we have brought them unto their place; and our little ones shall dwell in the fortified cities, because of the inhabitants of the land.
18 ೧೮ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ವತ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ವರೆಗೂ ನಾವು ನಮ್ಮ ಮನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿ ಹೋಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
We will not return unto our houses, until the children of Israel have acquired for themselves every man his inheritance.
For we will not take possession with them on the other side of the Jordan, and farther on: when our inheritance hath come to us on this side of the Jordan eastward.
And Moses said unto them, If ye will do this thing, if ye will arm yourselves before the Lord for the war;
21 ೨೧ ಯೊರ್ದನ್ ನದಿಯ ಆಚೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಯೆಹೋವನು ತನ್ನ ವೈರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊರಡಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟು ಆ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ತನಕ ಆತನ ಮುಂದೆ
And every armed man of you will go over the Jordan before the Lord, until he have driven out his enemies from before him;
22 ೨೨ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡಿ ತರುವಾಯ ನೀವು ತಿರುಗಿ ಬಂದು ಆತನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲೂ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲೂ ನಿರ್ದೋಷಿಗಳಾಗಿರುವಿರಿ ಮತ್ತು ಈ ದೇಶವು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲೇ ನಿಮಗೆ ಸ್ವತ್ತಾಗಿರುವುದು.
And when, only after the land hath been subdued before the Lord, ye will return, and ye be thus guiltless before the Lord, and before Israel: then shall this land be yours for a possession before the Lord.
23 ೨೩ “ಆದರೆ ನೀವು ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡದೆ ಹೋದರೆ, ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಪಾಪಮಾಡಿದವರಾಗುವಿರಿ ಮತ್ತು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪಾಪವು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯುವ ತನಕ ಹುಡುಕಿಕೊಂಡೇ ಬರುವುದು ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ.
But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the Lord; and ye shall experience the punishment of your sin which will overtake you.
24 ೨೪ ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಊರುಗಳನ್ನೂ, ದನಕುರಿಗಳಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ದೊಡ್ಡಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಂಡ ತರುವಾಯ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಾತಿನ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಮಾಡಿರಿ” ಎಂದನು.
Build yourselves cities for your little ones, and folds for your flocks; and that which hath proceeded out of your mouth shall ye do.
25 ೨೫ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಗಾದ್ಯರೂ ಮತ್ತು ರೂಬೇನ್ಯರೂ ಮೋಶೆಗೆ, “ಸ್ವಾಮಿಯವರ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ದಾಸರಾದ ನಾವು ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇವೆ ಎಂದರು.
And the children of Gad and the children of Reuben said unto Moses, as followeth, Thy servants will do as my Lord commandeth.
Our little ones, our wives, our flocks, and all our cattle, shall remain there in the cities of Gil'ad;
27 ೨೭ ನಿನ್ನ ದಾಸರಾದ ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಯುದ್ಧಸನ್ನದ್ಧರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಸ್ವಾಮಿಯವರ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಮುಂದುಗಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊರಟು ನದಿಯನ್ನು ದಾಟಿ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡುವೆವು” ಎಂದು ಉತ್ತರ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು.
But thy servants will pass over, every one that is armed for the army, before the Lord, to the war, as my Lord speaketh.
28 ೨೮ ಆದಕಾರಣ ಮೋಶೆ ಅವರ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕ ಎಲ್ಲಾಜಾರನಿಗೂ, ನೂನನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನಿಗೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಮತ್ತು ಗೋತ್ರಗಳ ಕುಲಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳಿಗೂ ಆಜ್ಞೆಮಾಡಿದನು.
And Moses commanded concerning them Elazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the chiefs of the families of the tribes of the children of Israel;
29 ೨೯ ಮೋಶೆಯು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಗಾದ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ರೂಬೇನ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಯುದ್ಧಸನ್ನದ್ಧರಾದವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನಿಮ್ಮೊಡನೆ ಯೊರ್ದನ್ ನದಿಯನ್ನು ದಾಟಿ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಮುಂದೆ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಕಾನಾನ್ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ನೀವು ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಾಗ ನೀವು ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದ್ ಪ್ರದೇಶವನ್ನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸ್ವಾಸ್ತ್ಯವಾಗುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಡಬೇಕು.
And Moses said unto them, If the children of Gad and the children of Reuben do pass with you over the Jordan, every one that is armed for the war, before the Lord, and the land shall be subdued before you: then shall ye give to them the land of Gil'ad for a possession;
30 ೩೦ ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ನಿಮ್ಮೊಡನೆ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗದಿದ್ದರೆ ಕಾನಾನ್ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸ್ವಾಸ್ತ್ಯವಾಗಬೇಕು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
But if they should not pass over armed with you, they shall take possessions among you in the land of Canaan.
And the children of Gad and the children of Reuben answered, saying, That which the Lord hath spoken concerning thy servants, even so will we do.
32 ೩೨ ನಾವು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಮುಂದೆ ಯುದ್ಧಸನ್ನದ್ಧರಾಗಿ ಕಾನಾನ್ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಡುವೆವು, ಆಗ ಯೊರ್ದನ್ ನದಿಯ ಆಚೆಯೇ ನಮಗೆ ಸ್ವತ್ತು ದೊರಕಬೇಕು” ಎಂದರು.
We will indeed pass over armed before the Lord into the land of Canaan, while ours remaineth the possession of our inheritance on this side of the Jordan.
33 ೩೩ ಹೀಗೆ ಮೋಶೆಯು ಗಾದ್ಯರಿಗೂ, ರೂಬೇನ್ಯರಿಗೂ, ಯೋಸೇಫನ ಮಗನಾದ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯ ಕುಲದವರಲ್ಲಿ ಅರ್ಧಜನರಿಗೂ, ಅಮೋರಿಯರ ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೀಹೋನನ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನೂ, ಬಾಷಾನಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ಓಗನ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನೂ, ಅವುಗಳ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಊರುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮತ್ತು ಆ ಊರುಗಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದ ಭೂಮಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
And Moses gave unto them, to the children of Gad, and to the children of Reuben, and to half the tribe of Menasseh the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sichon, the king of the Emorites, and the kingdom of 'Og, the king of Bashan, the land, with its cities within the boundaries, the cities of the country round about.
And the children of Gad built Dibon, and 'Ataroth, and 'Aro'er,
And 'Atroth-shophan, and Ya'zer, and Yogbehah.
36 ೩೬ ಬೇತ್‌ನಿಮ್ರಾ ಮತ್ತು ಬೇತ್ ಹಾರಾನಿನ ಸುತ್ತ ಗೋಡೆಗಳುಳ್ಳ ಊರುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಸದಾಗಿ ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಂಡರು. ತಮ್ಮ ದನಕುರಿಗಳಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ದೊಡ್ಡಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಂಡರು.
And Beth-nimrah, and Beth-haran, fortified cities, and folds for flocks,
And the children of Reuben built Cheshbon, and El'aleh, and Kiryathayim,
38 ೩೮ ಸಿಬ್ಮಾ ಎಂಬ ಊರುಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಬೇರೆ ಹೆಸರಿನಿಂದ ಉಚ್ಚರಿಸತಕ್ಕ ನೆಬೋ, ಬಾಳ್ಮೆಯೋನ್ ಎಂಬವುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಹೊಸದಾಗಿ ಕಟ್ಟಿ ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಬೇರೆ ಹೆಸರುಗಳನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟರು.
And Nebo, and Ba'al-me'on [their names being changed], and Shibmah; and they gave the former names unto the cities which they built.
39 ೩೯ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯ ಮಗನಾದ ಮಾಕೀರನ ವಂಶದವರು ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಅಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಅಮೋರಿಯರನ್ನು ಹೊರಡಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟರು.
And the children of Machir the son of Menasseh went to Gil'ad, and conquered it, and dispossessed the Emorites who were in it.
40 ೪೦ ಮೋಶೆಯು ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯ ಮಗನಾದ ಮಾಕೀರನ ಸಂತತಿಯವರಿಗೆ ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದ್ ಪ್ರದೇಶವನ್ನು ಕೊಡಲಾಗಿ ಅವರು ಅಲ್ಲೇ ವಾಸಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.
And Moses gave Gil'ad unto Machir the son of Menasseh; and he dwelt therein.
41 ೪೧ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯ ವಂಶದವನಾದ ಯಾಯೀರನು ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟು ಅಮೋರಿಯರ ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಯಾಯೀರನ ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳೆಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಟ್ಟನು.
And Yair the son of Menasseh went and conquered the small towns thereof, and called them Chavoth-yair.
42 ೪೨ ನೋಬಹನು ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟು ಕೆನಾತ್ ಎಂಬ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನೂ ಮತ್ತು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿದ ಊರುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಜಯಿಸಿ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ನೋಬಹ ಎಂದು ತನ್ನ ಹೆಸರನ್ನೇ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
And Nobach went and conquered Kenath, and the villages thereof, and called it Nobach, after his own name.
