ನಹೂಮನು 1
THE BURDEN of Nineveh. The book of the vision of Nahum the Elkoshite.
2 ೨ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಸ್ವಗೌರವವನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ದೇವರು. ಆತನು ಮುಯ್ಯಿತೀರಿಸುವವನು; ಹೌದು ಯೆಹೋವನು ಮುಯ್ಯಿತೀರಿಸುವವನು, ಕೋಪಭರಿತನು; ಯೆಹೋವನು ತನ್ನ ವಿರೋಧಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಮುಯ್ಯಿತೀರಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ತನ್ನ ಶತ್ರುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ದೀರ್ಘರೋಷವಿಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.
The LORD is a jealous and avenging God, the LORD avengeth and is full of wrath; the LORD taketh vengeance on His adversaries, and He reserveth wrath for His enemies.
3 ೩ ಯೆಹೋವನು ದೀರ್ಘಶಾಂತನಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ಆತನ ಶಕ್ತಿಯು ಅಪಾರ, ಅಪರಾಧಿಗಳನ್ನು ಶಿಕ್ಷಿಸದೆ ಬಿಡನು; ಯೆಹೋವನು ಬಿರುಗಾಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ತುಫಾನಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಮೋಡಗಳು ಆತನ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಯಿಂದೇಳುವ ಧೂಳು.
The LORD is long-suffering, and great in power, and will by no means clear the guilty; the LORD, in the whirlwind and in the storm is His way, and the clouds are the dust of His feet.
4 ೪ ಆತನು ಸಮುದ್ರವನ್ನು ಗದರಿಸಿ ಒಣಗಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಸಕಲನದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬತ್ತಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಬಾಷಾನೂ ಮತ್ತು ಕರ್ಮೆಲ್ ಹೊಲಗಳೂ ಕಂದುತ್ತವೆ. ಲೆಬನೋನಿನ ಚಿಗುರು ಬಾಡುತ್ತದೆ.
He rebuketh the sea, and maketh it dry, and drieth up all the rivers; Bashan languisheth, and Carmel, and the flower of Lebanon languisheth.
5 ೫ ಆತನ ಮುಂದೆ ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳು ಅದರುತ್ತವೆ, ಗುಡ್ಡಗಳು ಕರಗುತ್ತವೆ; ಆತನ ದರ್ಶನಕ್ಕೆ ಭೂಮಿಯು ಕಂಪಿಸುತ್ತದೆ, ಹೌದು, ಲೋಕವೂ ಲೋಕನಿವಾಸಿಗಳೆಲ್ಲರೂ ತಲ್ಲಣಿಸುತ್ತವೆ.
The mountains quake at Him, and the hills melt; and the earth is upheaved at His presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell therein.
6 ೬ ಆತನ ಸಿಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಯಾರು ಎದುರು ನಿಲ್ಲಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯ? ಆತನ ರೋಷಾಗ್ನಿಯ ಎದುರು ಯಾರು ನಿಂತಾರು? ಆತನ ರೌದ್ರವು ಜ್ವಾಲಾಪ್ರವಾಹದಂತೆ ಹರಿಯುತ್ತದೆ. ಬಂಡೆಗಳು ಆತನಿಂದ ಕೆಡವಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿವೆ.
Who can stand before His indignation? And who can abide in the fierceness of His anger? His fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are broken asunder before Him.
The LORD is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and He knoweth them that take refuge in Him.
8 ೮ ಆದರೆ ತುಂಬಿತುಳುಕುವ ಜಲಪ್ರವಾಹದಿಂದಲೋ ಎಂಬಂತೆ ನಿನವೆಯ ಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ತೀರಾ ಹಾಳುಮಾಡಿ ತನ್ನ ವಿರೋಧಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟಿ ಅಂಧಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ತಳ್ಳುವನು.
But with an overrunning flood He will make a full end of the place thereof, and darkness shall pursue His enemies.
9 ೯ ನೀವು ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಯಾವರೀತಿಯ ಕುಯುಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಕಲ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತೀರಿ? ಆತನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಹಾಳುಮಾಡುವನು; ಎರಡನೆಯ ಸಾರಿ ಅಪಾಯವು ತಲೆ ಎತ್ತದಂತೆ ಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡುವನು.
What do ye devise against the LORD? He will make a full end; trouble shall not rise up the second time.
10 ೧೦ ಆತನ ವೈರಿಗಳು ಮುಳ್ಳುಗಳಂತೆ ಹೆಣೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರೂ, ಮಧ್ಯಪಾನದಲ್ಲೇ ಮತ್ತರಾಗಿ ಮುಳುಗಿಹೋಗಿದ್ದರೂ, ಒಣಗಿದ ಹುಲ್ಲಂತೆ ಬೆಂಕಿಗೆ ತುತ್ತಾಗುವರು.
For though they be like tangled thorns, and be drunken according to their drink, they shall be devoured as stubble fully dry.
Out of thee came he forth, that deviseth evil against the LORD, that counselleth wickedness.
12 ೧೨ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಇಂತೆನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ, “ನಿನ್ನ ಶತ್ರುಗಳು ಎಷ್ಟು ಪ್ರಬಲವಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ, ಅವರ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ಎಷ್ಟು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿದ್ದರೂ ಅವರು ಕಡಿಯಲ್ಪಡುವರು. ಆ ದುರಾಲೋಚಕನು ಇಲ್ಲವಾಗುವನು. ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಾಧಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ಆದರೆ ಇನ್ನು ಬಾಧಿಸೆನು.
Thus saith the LORD: Though they be in full strength, and likewise many, even so shall they be cut down, and he shall pass away; and though I have afflicted thee, I will afflict thee no more.
And now will I break his yoke from off thee, and will burst thy bonds in sunder.
14 ೧೪ ಅಶ್ಶೂರವೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿನ ಸಂತಾನ ಬೀಜವು ಇನ್ನು ಬಿತ್ತಲ್ಪಡಬಾರದೆಂದು ಯೆಹೋವನಾದ ನಾನು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರ ಮಂದಿರದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಕೆತ್ತಿದ ವಿಗ್ರಹವನ್ನೂ, ಎರಕದ ಬೊಂಬೆಯನ್ನೂ ಕಡಿದುಬಿಡುವೆನು; ನಿನಗೆ ಸಮಾಧಿಯನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡುವೆನು; ನಿನ್ನ ಪಾಪಗಳು ದುರ್ವಾಸನೆ ಬೀರುತ್ತಿವೆ.
And the LORD hath given commandment concerning thee, that no more of thy name be sown; out of the house of thy god will I cut off the graven image and the molten image; I will make thy grave; for thou art become worthless.
15 ೧೫ ನೋಡಿರಿ ಆ ಶುಭಸಮಾಚಾರವನ್ನು ತಂದು, ಸಮಾಧಾನವನ್ನು ಪರ್ವತಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಸಾರುವ ದೂತನ ಪಾದಗಳು ಮೇಲೆ ತ್ವರೆಪಡುತ್ತವೆ! ಯೆಹೂದವೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ಹಬ್ಬಗಳನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಿಕೋ, ನಿನ್ನ ಹರಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸು; ಆ ದುಷ್ಟರು ಇನ್ನು ಮುಂದೆ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಮುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಹಾಕಿ ಸೋಲಿಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ನಾಶವಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
Behold upon the mountains the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that announceth peace! Keep thy feasts, O Judah, perform thy vows; for the wicked one shall no more pass through thee; he is utterly cut off.
