ಮತ್ತಾಯನು 25
1 ೧ “ಪರಲೋಕ ರಾಜ್ಯವು ತಮ್ಮ ದೀಪಾರತಿಗಳನ್ನುತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಮದಲಿಂಗನನ್ನು ಸಂಧಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟಂತಹ ಹತ್ತು ಮಂದಿ ಕನ್ನಿಕೆಯರಿಗೆ ಹೋಲಿಕೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.
Then will the kingdom of heaven be like ten virgins, who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom: and five of them were wise,
and five were foolish.
The foolish ones took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
but the wise took oil in their vessels as well as in their lamps.
Now while the bridegroom stayed, they were all drowsy and fell asleep:
6 ೬ ಆದರೆ ಅರ್ಧರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ, ‘ಇಗೋ, ಮದಲಿಂಗನು ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ಎದುರುಗೊಳ್ಳಲು ಹೊರಡಿರಿ’ ಎಂಬ ಕೂಗು ಕೇಳಿಸಿತು.
and in the middle of the night there was a cry, The bridegroom is coming, go out to meet him.
Then all the virgins rose up and trimmed their lamps:
and the foolish ones said to the wise, Give us of your oil, for our lamps are going out:
9 ೯ ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಮ್ಮ ದೀಪಗಳು ಆರಿಹೋಗುತ್ತವೆ’ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಆ ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತರಾದ ಕನ್ನಿಕೆಯರು, ಆಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ‘ನಿಮಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟರೆ ನಮಗೂ ನಿಮಗೂ ಸಾಲದೆ ಹೋದೀತು; ನೀವು ಮಾರುವವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಕೊಂಡುಕೊಂಡರೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದು’ ಅಂದರು.
but the wise answered them, saying, Least there should not be enough for us and you, go rather to them that sell it, and buy for yourselves.
10 ೧೦ ಅವರು ಕೊಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟುಹೋದಾಗ ಮದಲಿಂಗನು ಬಂದನು. ಸಿದ್ಧವಾಗಿದ್ದವರು ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಮದುವೆಯ ಮನೆಯೊಳಗೆ ಹೋದರು, ಬಾಗಿಲನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಲಾಯಿತು.
And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and they that were ready went in with him to the wedding-feast, and then the door was shut.
Afterwards came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us:
but he answered them, Verily I declare unto you, I do not know you.
Watch therefore, for ye know not the day, nor the season in which the Son of man cometh.
14 ೧೪ “ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯವು ಹೇಗೆಂದರೆದೇಶಾಂತರಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟ್ಟಿದ್ದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರನ್ನು ಕರೆದು ಅವರಿಗೆ ತನ್ನ ಆಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟಂತಿರುವುದು.
For as a man, who was going to travel abroad, called his servants, and delivered to them his stock: and to one he gave five talents,
15 ೧೫ ಅವನು ಒಬ್ಬನಿಗೆ ಐದುತಲಾಂತು, ಇನ್ನೊಬ್ಬನಿಗೆ ಎರಡು, ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನಿಗೆ ಒಂದು, ಹೀಗೆ ಅವನವನ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ತಲಾಂತನ್ನು ವಹಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟು ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದನು.
to another two, and to another one; to each according to his ability: and then he took his journey.
Now he that had received the five talents, went and traded with them, and gained other five talents:
and likewise he that had the two, he also gained two more:
but he who had received the one, went and digged in the earth, and hid his master's money:
and after some time the lord of those servants cometh and settleth his account with them.
20 ೨೦ ಐದು ತಲಾಂತುಗಳು ಹೊಂದಿದವನು ಮುಂದೆ ಬಂದು ಇನ್ನೂ ಐದು ತಲಾಂತುಗಳನ್ನು ತಂದು, ‘ಯಜಮಾನನೇ, ನೀನು ಐದು ತಲಾಂತಗಳನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೆಯಲ್ಲಾ, ಇಗೋ, ಇನ್ನು ಐದು ತಲಾಂತು ಸಂಪಾದಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ’ ಅಂದನು.
And he who had received the five talents came and brought to him five talents more, saying, Sir, thou deliveredst to me five talents, behold I have gained other five talents to them:
21 ೨೧ ಅವನ ಯಜಮಾನನು ಅವನಿಗೆ, ‘ಭಲಾ, ನಂಬಿಗಸ್ತನಾದ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಸೇವಕನೇ; ನೀನು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಕೆಲಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕನಾಗಿದ್ದಿ; ದೊಡ್ಡ ಕೆಲಸದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಇಡುತ್ತೇನೆ; ನಿನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನ ಸಂತೋಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರು’ ಅಂದನು.
and his lord said to him, Well done, my good and trusty servant, thou hast been faithful in a few things, I will set thee over many, enter into thy master's joy.
22 ೨೨ ಆಗ ಎರಡು ತಲಾಂತು ಹೊಂದಿದವನು ಮುಂದೆ ಬಂದು, ‘ಯಜಮಾನನೇ, ನೀನು ಎರಡು ತಲಾಂತನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದ್ದೆಯಲ್ಲಾ; ಇಗೋ, ಇನ್ನು ಎರಡು ತಲಾಂತು ಸಂಪಾದಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ’ ಅಂದನು.
And he also who had received the two talents came to him and said, Lord, thou deliveredst to me two talents, behold I have gained two other talents with them:
23 ೨೩ ಅವನ ಯಜಮಾನನು ಅವನಿಗೆ, ‘ಭಲಾ, ನಂಬಿಗಸ್ತನಾದ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಸೇವಕನೇ; ನೀನು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಕೆಲಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕನಾಗಿದ್ದಿ, ದೊಡ್ಡ ಕೆಲಸದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಇಡುತ್ತೇನೆ; ನಿನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನ ಸಂತೋಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರು’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
his lord said to him, Well done, good and faithful servant, thou hast been faithful in a few things, I will set thee over many, enter into the joy of thy lord.
24 ೨೪ ತರುವಾಯ ಒಂದು ತಲಾಂತು ಹೊಂದಿದವನು ಸಹ ಮುಂದೆಬಂದು, ‘ಯಜಮಾನನೇ, ನೀನು ಬಿತ್ತದಿರುವಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಯ್ಯುವವನು, ನೀನು ತೂರದಿರುವಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಶಿಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನು ಆಗಿರುವ ಕಠಿಣ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಎಂದು ನಾನು ತಿಳಿದು
And he also who received the one talent came to him and said, Sir, I knew thee that thou art a hard man, reaping where thou sowedst not, and gathering where thou hast not strewed;
25 ೨೫ ಹೆದರಿ, ಹೊರಟುಹೋಗಿ ನಿನ್ನ ತಲಾಂತನ್ನು ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಚ್ಚಿಟ್ಟೆನು; ಇಗೋ, ನಿನ್ನದು ನಿನಗೇ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ’ ಅಂದನು.
and I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the ground; behold, there is thine own:
26 ೨೬ ಆಗ ಅವನ ಯಜಮಾನನು ಅವನಿಗೆ, ‘ಮೈಗಳ್ಳನಾದ ದುಷ್ಟ ಸೇವಕನೇ; ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿತ್ತದಿರುವಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಯ್ಯುವವನು ತೂರದಿರುವಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಶಿಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನು ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದೇಯಾ?
but his lord answered and said to him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strewed;
27 ೨೭ ಹಾಗಾದರೆ, ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಹಣವನ್ನು ಸಾಹುಕಾರರಲ್ಲಿ ಬಡ್ಡಿಗೆ ಹಾಕಬೇಕಾಗಿತ್ತು; ನಾನು ಬಂದು ನನ್ನದನ್ನು ಬಡ್ಡಿ ಸಹಿತ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆನು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ,
thou oughtest then to have put my money to the bankers, and when I came I should have received my own with interest.
Take ye therefore the talent from him, and give it to him that hath the ten talents;
29 ೨೯ ಇದ್ದವರಿಗೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಕೊಡಲ್ಪಡುವುದು, ಅವರಿಗೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗುವುದು; ಇಲ್ಲದವನ ಕಡೆಯಿಂದ ಇದ್ದದ್ದೂ ತೆಗೆಯಲ್ಪಡುವುದು.
(for to every one that hath shall be given, and he shall abound; but from him that hath not, even what he hath, or seemeth to have, shall be taken away: )
30 ೩೦ ಮತ್ತು ನಿಷ್ಪ್ರಯೋಜಕನಾದ ಈ ಸೇವಕನನ್ನು ಹೊರಗೆ ಕಗ್ಗತ್ತಲೆಗೆ ಹಾಕಿಬಿಡಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಕೊಟ್ಟನು. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಗೋಳಾಟವೂ ಕಟಕಟನೆ ಹಲ್ಲುಕಡಿಯೋಣವೂ ಇರುವವು.’
and cast out the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness, where there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
31 ೩೧ “ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯಕುಮಾರನು ತನ್ನ ಮಹಿಮೆಯಿಂದ ಸಮಸ್ತ ದೇವದೂತರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬರುವಾಗ ತನ್ನ ಮಹಿಮೆಯ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನದಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು;
So when the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then shall He sit upon his glorious throne:
32 ೩೨ ಆಗ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ದೇಶಗಳ ಜನರನ್ನೂ ಆತನ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ತಂದು ಸೇರಿಸುವರು. ಕುರುಬನು ಕುರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಆಡುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಬೇರ್ಪಡಿಸುವ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಆತನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಬೇರ್ಪಡಿಸುವನು.
and all nations shall be assembled before Him; and He shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides the sheep from the goats:
and He shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on his left.
34 ೩೪ ಆಗ ಅರಸನು ತನ್ನ ಬಲಗಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವವರಿಗೆ, ‘ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದ ಹೊಂದಿದವರೇ ಬನ್ನಿರಿ, ಲೋಕಾದಿಯಿಂದ ನಿಮಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿದ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸ್ವತ್ತಾಗಿ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ.
Then will the king say to them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
35 ೩೫ ನಾನು ಹಸಿದಿದ್ದೆನು, ನನಗೆ ಊಟ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿರಿ; ನಾನು ಬಾಯಾರಿದ್ದೆನು, ನನಗೆ ಕುಡಿಯುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿರಿ; ಪರದೇಶಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದೆನು, ನನಗೆ ಆಶ್ರಯ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿರಿ;
for I was famishing, and ye gave me food; I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink; I was a stranger, and ye took me in;
36 ೩೬ ಬಟ್ಟೆಯಿಲ್ಲದವನಾಗಿದ್ದೆನು, ನನಗೆ ಉಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿರಿ; ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥನಾಗಿದ್ದಾಗ, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಆರೈಕೆ ಮಾಡಿದಿರಿ; ಸೆರೆಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದೆನು, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನೋಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಿರಿ’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವನು.
I was naked, and ye clothed me; I was sick, and ye took care of me; I was in prison, and ye visited me.
37 ೩೭ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಉತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ನೀತಿವಂತರು, ‘ಕರ್ತನೇ, ಯಾವಾಗ ನೀನು ಹಸಿದಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ನಿನಗೆ ಊಟ ಕೊಟ್ಟೆವು? ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ನೀನು ಬಾಯಾರಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಕುಡಿಯುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟೆವು?
Then will the righteous answer Him, saying, Lord, when did we see thee hungry, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
38 ೩೮ ಯಾವಾಗ ನೀನು ಪರದೇಶಿಯಾಗಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಆಶ್ರಯ ನೀಡಿದೆವು? ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ನಿನಗೆ ಬಟ್ಟೆಯಿಲ್ಲದ್ದನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಉಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟೆವು?
and when did we see thee a stranger, and took thee in?
39 ೩೯ ಯಾವಾಗ ನೀನು ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥನಾಗಿದ್ದಾಗ ಅಥವಾ ಸೆರೆಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನೋಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದೆವು’ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳುವರು.
or naked, and clothed thee? and when did we see thee sick, or in prison, and visited thee?
40 ೪೦ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಉತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಅರಸನು, ‘ಈ ನನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೇವಲ ಅಲ್ಪನಾದವನೊಬ್ಬನಿಗೆ ಏನೇನು ಮಾಡಿದಿರೋ ಅದನ್ನು ನನಗೂ ಮಾಡಿದ ಹಾಗಾಯಿತು ಎಂದು ನಿಮಗೆ ಸತ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ’ ಅನ್ನುವನು.
And the king replying will say unto them, Verily I declare unto you, inasmuch as ye did it to one of the lest of these my brethren, ye did it to me.
41 ೪೧ ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ಆತನು ಎಡಗಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವವರಿಗೆ, ‘ಶಾಪಗ್ರಸ್ತರೇ, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಪಿಶಾಚಿಗೂ ಅವನ ದೂತರಿಗೂ ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿರುವ ನಿತ್ಯ ಬೆಂಕಿಯೊಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿರಿ. (aiōnios g166)
Then will He say also to those on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: (aiōnios g166)
for I was famishing, and ye gave me nothing to eat; I was a-thirst, and ye gave me no drink;
43 ೪೩ ಪರದೇಶಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದೆನು, ನೀವು ನನಗೆ ಆಶ್ರಯ ಕೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಬಟ್ಟೆಯಿಲ್ಲದವನಾಗಿದ್ದೆನು, ನೀವು ನನಗೆ ಉಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥನಾಗಿದ್ದೆನು, ಸೆರೆಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದೆನು, ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಆರೈಕೆಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಬರಲಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು’ ಹೇಳುವನು.
I was a stranger, and ye took me not in; naked, and ye clothed me not; sick, and in prison, and ye took no care of me.
44 ೪೪ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಉತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಅವರೂ ಸಹ, ‘ಕರ್ತನೇ, ಯಾವಾಗ ನೀನು ಹಸಿದಿದ್ದನ್ನೂ, ನೀನು ಬಾಯಾರಿದ್ದನ್ನೂ, ನೀನು ಪರದೇಶಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದನ್ನೂ, ಬಟ್ಟೆಯಿಲ್ಲದವನಾಗಿದ್ದನ್ನೂ, ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥನಾಗಿದ್ದುದನ್ನೂ, ಸೆರೆಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದುದನ್ನೂ ಕಂಡು ನಿನಗೆ ಉಪಚಾರಮಾಡದೆ ಹೋದೆವು?’ ಅನ್ನುವರು.
Then will they also answer Him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee famishing, or a-thirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not relieve thee?
45 ೪೫ ಆಗ ಆತನು ಉತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ, ‘ನೀವು ಈ ಕೇವಲ ಅಲ್ಪರಾದವರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನಿಗೆ ಏನನ್ನು ಮಾಡದೆ ಹೋದಿರೋ ಅದನ್ನು ನನಗೂ ಮಾಡದೆ ಹೋದ ಹಾಗಾಯಿತು ಎಂದು ನಿಮಗೆ ಸತ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ’ ಅನ್ನುವನು.
Then will He reply to them, saying, Verily I tell you, inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the lest of these, ye did it not to me.
