ಲೂಕನು 8
1 ೧ ತರುವಾಯ ಯೇಸು ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ಸಾರುತ್ತಾ ಊರುಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸಂಚರಿಸಿದನು. ಆತನ ಸಂಗಡ ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಮಂದಿ ಶಿಷ್ಯರೂ,
Now it happened after this that He started going around town by town, village by village, preaching and proclaiming the good news of the Kingdom of God, and the twelve were with Him;
2 ೨ ದೆವ್ವಗಳ ಕಾಟದಿಂದಲೂ ರೋಗಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ಗುಣಹೊಂದಿದ ಕೆಲವು ಮಂದಿ ಹೆಂಗಸರು ಸಹ ಇದ್ದರು. ಈ ಹೆಂಗಸರು ಯಾರಾರೆಂದರೆ, ಏಳು ದುರಾತ್ಮಗಳಿಂದ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದ ಮಗ್ದಲದ ಮರಿಯಳು,
also certain women who had been healed of malignant spirits and infirmities: Mary (the one called Magdalene) from whom seven demons had gone out;
3 ೩ ಹೆರೋದನ ಮನೆಯ ಮೇಲ್ವಿಚಾರಕನಾಗಿದ್ದ ಕೂಜನ ಹೆಂಡತಿ ಯೋಹಾನಳು, ಸುಸನ್ನಳು, ಇನ್ನು ಬೇರೆ ಅನೇಕರು. ಇವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ವಂತ ಆಸ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಉಪಚಾರಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
and Joanna the wife of Chuza, an official of Herod; and Susanna, and many others—these were providing for Him from their substance.
4 ೪ ಬಹುಜನರು ಗುಂಪುಗುಂಪಾಗಿ ಬೇರೆ ಬೇರೆ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಿಂದ ಆತನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರುತ್ತಿರಲು ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸಾಮ್ಯರೂಪವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ,
Now when a large crowd had gathered, with people coming to Him from town after town, He spoke by a parable:
5 ೫ “ಬಿತ್ತುವವನು ಬೀಜವನ್ನು ಬಿತ್ತುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟನು. ಅವನು ಬಿತ್ತುವಾಗ ಕೆಲವು ಬೀಜಗಳು ದಾರಿಯ ಮಗ್ಗುಲಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದು ತುಳಿಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವು, ಆಕಾಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾರಾಡುವ ಹಕ್ಕಿಗಳು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಂದುಬಿಟ್ಟವು.
“A sower went out to sow his seed; and as he sowed some fell along the road, and it got trampled, and the birds of the air devoured it.
And some fell on the rock ledge, and upon sprouting it withered, because it had no moisture.
7 ೭ ಮತ್ತೆ ಕೆಲವು ಬೀಜಗಳು ಮುಳ್ಳುಪೊದೆಗಳೊಳಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದವು. ಮುಳ್ಳುಗಳು ಅವುಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬೆಳೆದು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಅದುಮಿಬಿಟ್ಟವು.
And some fell among thorns, and springing up together the thorns choked it.
8 ೮ ಇನ್ನು ಕೆಲವು ಬೀಜಗಳು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ನೆಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದು, ಮೊಳೆತು, ನೂರರಷ್ಟು ಫಲವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟವು.” ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿ ಆತನು, “ಕೇಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಿವಿಯುಳ್ಳವನು ಕೇಳಲಿ” ಎಂದು ಕೂಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದನು.
The rest fell into the good ground, and growing up it produced fruit a hundredfold.” Upon saying these things He called out, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”
Then His disciples asked Him saying, “What does this parable mean?”
10 ೧೦ ಆತನು, “ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಗುಟ್ಟುಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಯುವ ವರವು ನಿಮಗೆ ಕೊಡಲಾಗಿದೆ, ಉಳಿದವರಿಗೆ ‘ಕಣ್ಣಿದ್ದರೂ ನೋಡದಂತೆಯೂ, ಕೇಳಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರೂ ಗ್ರಹಿಸದಂತೆಯೂ’ ಸಾಮ್ಯರೂಪವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
So He said: “To you it has been given to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of God, but to the rest only in parables, so that ‘seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.’
“Now here is the parable: The seed is the Word of God.
12 ೧೨ ಕೆಲವರು ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ ಕೂಡಲೆ ಸೈತಾನನು ಬಂದು ಅವರು ನಂಬಿ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಹೊಂದಬಾರದೆಂದು ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಅವರ ಹೃದಯದಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದುಬಿಡುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಇವರೇ ದಾರಿಯ ಮಗ್ಗುಲಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದಿರುವ ಬೀಜಗಳು.
Those along the road are those who hear; then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, in order that they not be saved, having believed.
13 ೧೩ ಕೆಲವರು ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗಲೇ ಅದನ್ನು ಸಂತೋಷದಿಂದ ಅಂಗೀಕರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಇವರಿಗೆ ಬೇರಿಲ್ಲದ ಕಾರಣ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪಕಾಲ ಮಾತ್ರವೇ ನಂಬಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದು ಶೋಧನೆಯ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಇವರೇ ಬಂಡೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೀಳಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಬೀಜಗಳು.
Those on the rock ledge are the ones who, whenever they hear, receive the word with joy; yet these have no root, who believe for a while and in time of testing fall away.
14 ೧೪ ಇನ್ನು ಕೆಲವರು ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರಬರುತ್ತಾ ಈ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಗುವ ಚಿಂತೆ, ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯ ಭೋಗಗಳಿಂದ ಅಡಗಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ಫಲವನ್ನು ಕೊಡಲಾರದವರು, ಮುಳ್ಳುಗಿಡಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದ ಬೀಜವಾಗಿರುವವರು.
Now that which fell into the thorns: these are the ones who heard, yet as they go they are choked by cares, riches, and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to maturity.
15 ೧೫ ಮತ್ತೆ ಕೆಲವರು ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಸುಗುಣವುಳ್ಳ ತಮ್ಮ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಿ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು ತಾಳ್ಮೆಯಿಂದ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಇವರೇ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ನೆಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದ ಬೀಜಗಳು.
But that on the good ground: these are the ones who having heard the word with a noble and good heart, hold on to it and produce fruit with perseverance.”
16 ೧೬ “ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಯಾರೂ ದೀಪವನ್ನು ಹಚ್ಚಿ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯಿಂದ ಮುಚ್ಚುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಮಂಚದ ಕೆಳಗೂ ಇಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಮನೆಯೊಳಗೆ ಬರುವವರಿಗೆ ಬೆಳಕು ಕಾಣಿಸುವಂತೆ ಅದನ್ನು ದೀಪಸ್ತಂಭದ ಮೇಲೆ ಇಡುತ್ತಾರಷ್ಟೆ.
Upon saying these things He called out: “He who has ears to hear, let him hear! No one, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a vessel or puts it under a bed, but he sets it on a lamp stand, so that those who come in may see the light.
17 ೧೭ ಬೆಳಕಿಗೆ ಬಾರದ ಯಾವ ರಹಸ್ಯವೂ ಇಲ್ಲ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಕಟವಾಗದೆ ಇರುವಂಥ ಒಂದು ಗುಟ್ಟೂ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಅದು ಬಟ್ಟಬಯಲಾಗುವುದು.
Further, there is nothing hidden that will not be revealed, nor anything concealed that will not be made known and come into the open.
18 ೧೮ ಆದುದರಿಂದ ನೀವು ಹೇಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡಬೇಕೋ ನೋಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಇದ್ದವನಿಗೆ ಕೊಡಲ್ಪಡುವುದು; ಇಲ್ಲದವನ ಕಡೆಯಿಂದ ಅವನು ತನ್ನದೆಂದು ಎಣಿಸುವಂಥದೂ ತೆಗೆಯಲ್ಪಡುವುದು” ಅಂದನು.
So be careful how you hear: Because whoever has, to him more will be given; and whoever does not have, even what he thinks he has will be taken away from him.”
Then His mother and brothers came to Him, and they could not get near Him because of the crowd.
20 ೨೦ ಜನರು ಆತನಿಗೆ, “ನಿನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಯು, ನಿನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರರು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಾಣಬೇಕೆಂದು ಹೊರಗೆ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದಾರೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದಾಗ,
And it was told Him by some saying, “Your mother and your brothers are standing outside, wanting to see you.”
21 ೨೧ ಆತನು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಅದರಂತೆ ನಡೆಯುವವರೇ ನನಗೆ ತಾಯಿಯು ಸಹೋದರರು ಆಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ” ಎಂದು ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
But in answer He said to them, “My mother and my brothers are these, the ones who hear the word of God and do it!”
22 ೨೨ ಒಂದು ದಿನ ಯೇಸು ತನ್ನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರೊಂದಿಗೆ ದೋಣಿಯನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿ, “ಸಮುದ್ರದ ಆಚೇ ದಡಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗೋಣ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲು, ಅವರು ದೋಣಿಯನ್ನು ಸಾಗಿಸಿ ಹೊರಟರು.
Now it happened on one of those days that He got into a boat with His disciples; and He said to them, “Let us go over to the other side of the lake.” So they launched out.
23 ೨೩ ಅವರು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಆತನಿಗೆ ನಿದ್ರೆ ಹತ್ತಿತು, ಅಷ್ಟರಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿರುಗಾಳಿ ಸಮುದ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೀಸಿ ದೋಣಿಯೊಳಗೆ ನೀರು ತುಂಬಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರು ಅಪಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಗುರಿಯಾದರು.
But as they sailed He fell asleep. A windstorm descended on the lake, and they were being swamped and were in jeopardy.
24 ೨೪ ಹೀಗಿರಲಾಗಿ ಅವರು ಆತನ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಬಂದು, “ಗುರುವೇ, ಗುರುವೇ, ನಾವು ಸಾಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಆತನನ್ನು ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿದರು. ಆಗ ಆತನು ಎದ್ದು ಗಾಳಿಯನ್ನೂ ಏರಿ ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ನೀರಿನ ಅಲೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಗದರಿಸಿದನು. ಆಗ ಅವು ನಿಂತು, ಶಾಂತವಾಯಿತು.
So they came and awakened Him, saying, “Master, Master, we are perishing!” Then He got up and rebuked the wind and the waves of water—and they stopped, and there was a calm!
25 ೨೫ ತರುವಾಯ ಆತನು, “ನಿಮ್ಮ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಎಲ್ಲಿ?” ಎಂದು ಅವರನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದನು. ಅವರು ಭಯಪಟ್ಟು, “ಈತನು ಯಾರಿರಬಹುದು? ಗಾಳಿಗೂ ನೀರಿಗೂ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಅವು ಕೂಡ ಈತನು ಹೇಳಿದ ಹಾಗೆ ಕೇಳುತ್ತವಲ್ಲಾ?” ಎಂದು ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಪಟ್ಟು ಒಬ್ಬರಿಗೊಬ್ಬರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು.
So He said to them, “Where is your faith?” But being terrified they marveled, saying to each other: “Who can this be? Because He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey Him!”
Then they sailed to the district of the Gadarenes, which is opposite Galilee.
27 ೨೭ ಯೇಸು ದಡಕ್ಕೆ ಇಳಿಯುತ್ತಲೇ ಆ ಊರಿನವನಾದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಆತನೆದುರಿಗೆ ಬಂದನು. ಅವನಿಗೆ ದೆವ್ವಗಳು ಹಿಡಿದಿದ್ದವು. ಅವನು ಬಹುಕಾಲದಿಂದ ವಸ್ತ್ರವನ್ನೇ ಧರಿಸದೆ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸದೆ ಸಮಾಧಿಯ ಗವಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಇರುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.
Well when He stepped out on the land, a certain man of that town met Him, who had had demons for a long time—he wore no clothes, nor did he live in a house, but among the tombs.
28 ೨೮ ಇವನು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಆರ್ಭಟಿಸಿ ಆತನ ಮುಂದೆ ಅಡ್ಡಬಿದ್ದು ಮಹಾಶಬ್ದದಿಂದ, “ಯೇಸುವೇ, ಪರಾತ್ಪರನಾದ ದೇವರ ಮಗನೇ, ನನ್ನ ಗೊಡವೆ ನಿನಗೇಕೆ? ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಾಡಬೇಡವೆಂದು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ” ಅಂದನು.
When he saw Jesus he gave a yell, fell down before Him, and with a loud voice he said: “What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg you, don't torment me!”
29 ೨೯ ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋಗಬೇಕೆಂದು ಆತನು ಆ ದೆವ್ವಕ್ಕೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದನು. ಅದು ಬಹು ಕಾಲದಿಂದ ಅವನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದಿತ್ತು; ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕಾವಲಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟು ಸರಪಣಿಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ಬೇಡಿಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ಬಂಧಿಸಿದ್ದರೂ ಅವನು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಮುರಿದುಹಾಕುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು; ಮತ್ತು ಆ ದೆವ್ವವು ಅವನನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಜನ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಿಗೆ ಓಡಿಸುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.
because He had commanded the unclean spirit to get out of the man (it had seized him many times—he would be bound with chains and shackles, being kept under guard; then bursting the bonds he would be driven by the demon into deserted places).
30 ೩೦ ಯೇಸುವು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಸರೇನೆಂದು?” ಕೇಳಲು ಅವನು, “ನನ್ನ ಹೆಸರು ದಂಡು” ಅಂದನು, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಬಹಳ ದೆವ್ವಗಳು ಅವನೊಳಗೆ ಹೊಕ್ಕಿದವು.
Then Jesus asked him, “What is your name?” And he said, “Legion” (because many demons had gone into him).
And he kept imploring Him that He would not order them to go away into the Abyss. (Abyssos g12)
32 ೩೨ ಅಲ್ಲಿಯ ಗುಡ್ಡದ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಂದಿಗಳ ಹಿಂಡು ಮೇಯುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಆ ದೆವ್ವಗಳು, ಆ ಹಂದಿಗಳೊಳಗೆ ಸೇರಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನಮಗೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಕೊಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡವು. ಆತನು ಆಗಲಿ ಎಂದು ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಕೊಡಲು,
Now a herd of many pigs was feeding there on the hillside; and they started begging Him that He would allow them to go into those; so He gave them permission.
33 ೩೩ ದೆವ್ವಗಳು ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬಂದು ಹಂದಿಗಳೊಳಗೆ ಹೊಕ್ಕವು. ಆ ಹಂದಿಗಳು ಉಗ್ರವಾಗಿ ಓಡಿ ಕಡಿದಾದ ಸ್ಥಳದಿಂದ ಕೆರೆಯೊಳಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದು ಉಸಿರುಕಟ್ಟಿ ಸತ್ತು ಹೋದವು.
Then the demons exited the man and entered the pigs—and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and was drowned!
Well when the herders saw what had happened they ran away and reported it in the town and in the countryside.
35 ೩೫ ಜನರು ನಡೆದ ಸಂಗತಿಯನ್ನು ನೋಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟು ಯೇಸುವಿದ್ದಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ದೆವ್ವಗಳು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋಗಿದ್ದ ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಬಟ್ಟೆಯನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಬುದ್ಧಿಯಿಂದ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಪಾದಗಳ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಹೆದರಿದರು.
So they went out to see what had happened, and came to Jesus; they found the man from whom the demons had gone out sitting at Jesus' feet, clothed and in his right mind; and they were afraid.
Also, the eyewitnesses reported to them how the demonized man was healed.
37 ೩೭ ಗೆರಸೇನರ ಸುತ್ತಲಿರುವ ಸೀಮೆಯವರಿಗೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮಹಾ ಭಯ ಉಂಟಾದದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಆತನನ್ನು, ನೀನು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋಗಬೇಕೆಂದು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಆತನು ದೋಣಿಯನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿ ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿ ಹೋದನು.
Then the whole multitude from the surrounding region of the Gadarenes asked Him to depart from them, because they were overcome by fear. So He got into the boat and returned.
38 ೩೮ ಹೊರಡುವಾಗ ದೆವ್ವಗಳಿಂದ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾದ ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು, ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಇರುತ್ತೇನೆ ಎಂದು ಆತನನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡಾಗ,
Now the man from whom the demons had gone out had started begging Him that he might be with Him. But Jesus sent him away, saying,
39 ೩೯ ಆತನು, “ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿ ಹೋಗಿ ದೇವರು ನಿನಗೆ ಏನೇನು ಉಪಕಾರಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದನೋ ಅದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಿನ್ನವರಿಗೆ ವಿವರವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳು” ಎಂದು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟನು. ಅವನು ಹೊರಟುಹೋಗಿ ಯೇಸು ತನಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಉಪಕಾರಗಳನ್ನು ಆ ಊರಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಸಾರಿದನು.
“Return to your house and recount how much God has done for you.” So he went his way and proclaimed all over town how much Jesus had done for him.
Now it happened, when Jesus returned, that the crowd welcomed Him, because they were all waiting for Him.
41 ೪೧ ಆಗ ಸಭಾಮಂದಿರದ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯಾದ ಯಾಯೀರನೆಂಬ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಬಂದು ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಪಾದಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಡ್ಡಬಿದ್ದನು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚುಕಡಿಮೆ ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ವರ್ಷದವಳಾದ ಅವನ ಒಬ್ಬಳೇ ಮಗಳು ಸಾಯುವ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಕಾರಣ ಆತನನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಬರಬೇಕೆಂದು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡನು. ಯೇಸು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿರುವಲ್ಲಿ ಜನಸಮೂಹವು ಸುತ್ತಲಿನಿಂದಲೂ ಆತನನ್ನು ನೂಕಾಡುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.
And then, there came a man named Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue; he fell down at Jesus' feet and started begging Him to come to his house,
42 ೪೨
because he had an only daughter, about twelve years old, and she was dying. Now as He was going, the crowds were pressing against Him.
43 ೪೩ ಆಗ ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ವರ್ಷದಿಂದ ರಕ್ತಸ್ರಾವ ರೋಗವಿದ್ದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಹೆಂಗಸು ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಳು. ಆಕೆಯು ತನ್ನ ಬಳಿ ಇದ್ದ ಹಣವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ವೆಚ್ಚಮಾಡಿದರೂ ಒಬ್ಬ ವೈದ್ಯರಿಂದಲೂ ಗುಣಹೊಂದಲಾರದೆ ಇದ್ದಳು.
And a woman—suffering with a flow of blood for twelve years, who had spent her whole livelihood on physicians, but could not be healed by any—
44 ೪೪ ಆಕೆಯು ಹಿಂದಿನಿಂದ ಬಂದು ಆತನ ಅಂಗಿಯ ಅಂಚನ್ನು ಮುಟ್ಟಿದಳು; ಮುಟ್ಟುತ್ತಲೇ ಆಕೆಗೆ ರಕ್ತಸ್ರಾವವಾಗುವುದು ನಿಂತಿತು.
approaching from behind touched the border of His garment; and immediately the flow of her blood stopped!
45 ೪೫ ಆಗ ಯೇಸುವು, “ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಮುಟ್ಟಿದವರಾರು?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಲು ಎಲ್ಲರೂ, ನಾನಲ್ಲ, ನಾನಲ್ಲ ಅನ್ನಲು ಪೇತ್ರನು, “ಗುರುವೇ, ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಜನರು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಮೈಮೇಲೆ ಬೀಳುತ್ತಾ ನೂಕುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರಲ್ಲಾ” ಅಂದನು.
So Jesus said, “Who touched me?” When all denied it, Peter and those with him said: “Master, the people are pressing against you and crowding in, and you say, ‘Who touched me?’”
46 ೪೬ ಆದರೆ ಯೇಸುವು, “ಯಾರೋ ಒಬ್ಬರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಮುಟ್ಟಿದರು; ನನ್ನಿಂದ ಶಕ್ತಿಯು ಹೊರಟಿತೆಂಬುದು ನನಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಾಯಿತು” ಅಂದಾಗ,
But Jesus said, “Someone did touch me, because I noticed power going out from me.”
47 ೪೭ ಆ ಹೆಂಗಸು ತಾನು ಮರೆಯಾಗಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದು ನಡುಗುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದು ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ ಅಡ್ಡಬಿದ್ದು ತಾನು ಇಂಥ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ ಮುಟ್ಟಿದೆನೆಂತಲೂ ಮುಟ್ಟಿದ ಕೂಡಲೆ ತನಗೆ ವಾಸಿಯಾಯಿತೆಂದೂ ಎಲ್ಲರ ಮುಂದೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದಳು.
Now when the woman saw that she could not hide, she came trembling, and falling down before Him she told Him in the presence of all the people the reason why she had touched Him, and how she was healed immediately.
So He said: “Courage, daughter, your faith has healed you. Go into peace.”
49 ೪೯ ಆತನು ಇನ್ನೂ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವಲ್ಲಿ ಸಭಾಮಂದಿರದ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯ ಕಡೆಯವನೊಬ್ಬನು ಬಂದು, “ನಿನ್ನ ಮಗಳು ಸತ್ತುಹೋದಳು, ಗುರುವಿಗೆ ತೊಂದರೆ ಕೊಡಬೇಡ” ಅಂದನು.
While He was still speaking, here came someone from the synagogue ruler's house, saying to him: “Your daughter has died. Don't bother the teacher.”
50 ೫೦ ಆದರೆ ಯೇಸು ಅದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಸಭಾಮಂದಿರದ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗೆ, “ಅಂಜಬೇಡ, ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಇರಲಿ, ಆಕೆ ಬದುಕುವಳು” ಎಂದು ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
But upon hearing it Jesus reacted by saying to him, “Don't be afraid; just believe and she will be healed.”
51 ೫೧ ತರುವಾಯ ಆತನು ಆ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ, ಪೇತ್ರ ಯೋಹಾನ ಯಾಕೋಬ ಮತ್ತು ಆ ಹುಡುಗಿಯ ತಂದೆತಾಯಿಯರನ್ನು ಹೊರತು ಬೇರೆ ಯಾರನ್ನೂ ತನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಒಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬರಗೊಡಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.
When He arrived at the house, He allowed no one to go in except Peter, John, James, the father of the child, and her mother.
52 ೫೨ ಎಲ್ಲರು ಅಳುತ್ತಾ ಆಕೆಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಎದೆಬಡಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದರು. ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಅಳಬೇಡಿರಿ, ಆಕೆ ಸತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ, ನಿದ್ರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಳೆ” ಅನ್ನಲು,
Now all were weeping and mourning for her; but He said, “Do not weep; she is not dead, but sleeping.”
They started ridiculing Him, knowing that she had died.
So He put them all outside, and grasping her hand He called, saying, “Child, arise!”
Then her spirit returned, and she got right up! And He directed that she be given something to eat.
Her parents were astonished, but He charged them to tell no one what had happened.
