ಪ್ರಲಾಪಗಳು 4
1 ೧ ಅಯ್ಯೋ, ಬಂಗಾರವು ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಮಸುಕಾಯಿತು! ಚೊಕ್ಕ ಚಿನ್ನವು ಕಾಂತಿಹೀನವಾಗಿದೆಯಲ್ಲಾ! ಪವಿತ್ರಾಲಯದ ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳು ಪ್ರತಿ ಬೀದಿಯ ಕೊನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಶಿರಾಶಿಯಾಗಿ ಬಿದ್ದುಬಿಟ್ಟಿವೆ.
How is the gold become dim! the most pure gold changed! the stones of the sanctuary poured out at the top of all the streets!
2 ೨ ಅಯ್ಯೋ, ಅಪರಂಜಿಯಷ್ಟು ಅಮೂಲ್ಯರಾಗಿದ ಚೀಯೋನಿನ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳು, ಆದರೆ ಈಗ ಅವರು ಕುಂಬಾರನ ಕೈಕೆಲಸದ ಮಣ್ಣಿನ ಮಡಿಕೆಗಳೋ ಎಂಬಂತೆ ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
The sons of Zion, so precious, comparable to fine gold, how are they esteemed as earthen pitchers, the work of the hands of the potter!
3 ೩ ನರಿಗಳು ಕೂಡಾ ಮರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಮೊಲೆಗೊಟ್ಟು ಸಾಕುತ್ತವೆ; ಆದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಜನವೆಂಬಾಕೆಯೋ ಕಾಡಿನ ಉಷ್ಟ್ರಪಕ್ಷಿಯಷ್ಟು ಕ್ರೂರಳಾಗಿದ್ದಾಳೆ.
Even the jackals offer the breast, they give suck to their young; the daughter of my people is become cruel, like the ostriches in the wilderness.
The tongue of the sucking child cleaveth to the roof of his mouth for thirst; the young children ask bread, no man breaketh it unto them.
5 ೫ ಮೃಷ್ಟಾನ್ನವನ್ನು ಉಣ್ಣುತ್ತಿದ್ದವರು ಬೀದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ದಿಕ್ಕುಗೆಟ್ಟು ಅಲೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಚಿಕ್ಕಂದಿನಿಂದಲೂ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ವಸ್ತ್ರವನ್ನು ಹೊದ್ದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದವರಿಗೆ ತಿಪ್ಪೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅಪ್ಪಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಗತಿ ಬಂತು.
They that fed delicately are desolate in the streets; they that were brought up in scarlet embrace dung-hills.
And the punishment of the iniquity of the daughter of my people is greater than the reward of the sin of Sodom, which was overthrown as in a moment, and no hands were violently laid upon her.
7 ೭ ಆ ಪ್ರಜೆಯಲ್ಲಿನ ಮಹನೀಯರು ಹಿಮಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಶುಭ್ರವಾಗಿಯೂ, ಹಾಲಿಗಿಂತ ಬಿಳುಪಾಗಿಯೂ ಇದ್ದರು. ಅವರ ದೇಹದ ಬಣ್ಣವು ಹವಳವನ್ನು ಮೀರಿತ್ತು, ಅವರ ರೂಪವು ಇಂದ್ರನೀಲಮಣಿಯಷ್ಟು ಅಂದವಾಗಿತ್ತು.
Her Nazarites were purer than snow, whiter than milk; they were more ruddy in body than rubies, their figure was as sapphire.
8 ೮ ಈಗ ಅವರ ಮುಖವು ಕಾರ್ಮೋಡದಂತೆ ಕಡುಕಪ್ಪಾಗಿದೆ, ಬೀದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಗುರುತು ಯಾರಿಗೂ ಸಿಕ್ಕದು. ಅವರ ಚರ್ಮವು ಎಲುಬುಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಂಟಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಸುಕ್ಕು ಹಿಡಿದಿದೆ, ಒಣಗಿದ ಕಟ್ಟಿಗೆಯಂತಾಗಿದೆ.
Their visage is darker than blackness, they are not known in the streets; their skin cleaveth to their bones, it is withered, it is become like a stick.
9 ೯ ಹಸಿವೆಯಿಂದ ಹತರಾದವರ ಗತಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ಖಡ್ಗದಿಂದ ಹತರಾದವರ ಗತಿಯೇ ಲೇಸು. ಭೂಮಿಯ ಫಲಗಳಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಕ್ಷಾಮದ ಪೆಟ್ಟನ್ನು ತಿಂದವರು ಕ್ಷಯಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಬರುತ್ತಾರಲ್ಲಾ.
The slain with the sword are happier than the slain with hunger; for these pine away, stricken through for want of the fruits of the field.
10 ೧೦ ದಯೆತೋರುವ ಹೆಂಗಸರು ತಮ್ಮ ಕೂಸುಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ವಂತ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಬೇಯಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ತಿಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ಯಾಕೆಂದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಜನರ ನಾಶನಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ತಾಯಂದಿರಿಗೆ ತಿಂಡಿಯಾದವು.
The hands of pitiful women have boiled their own children: they were their meat in the ruin of the daughter of my people.
11 ೧೧ ಯೆಹೋವನು ತನ್ನ ರೋಷಾಗ್ನಿಯನ್ನು ಸುರಿಸಿ ತನ್ನ ಸಿಟ್ಟನ್ನು ತೀರಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಚೀಯೋನಿನ ಅಸ್ತಿವಾರಗಳನ್ನು ನುಂಗಿಬಿಟ್ಟ ಬೆಂಕಿಯನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊತ್ತಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
Jehovah hath accomplished his fury; he hath poured out his fierce anger, and hath kindled a fire in Zion, which hath consumed the foundations thereof.
12 ೧೨ ವೈರಿಗಳೂ ಮತ್ತು ಎದುರಾಳಿಗಳೂ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಬಾಗಿಲುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಯಿಡುವರೆಂದು ಅರಸರು ಅಥವಾ ಭೂನಿವಾಸಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರೂ ನಂಬಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
The kings of the earth, and all the inhabitants of the world, would not have believed that the adversary and the enemy should enter into the gates of Jerusalem.
[It is] for the sins of her prophets, [and] the iniquities of her priests, who have shed the blood of the righteous in the midst of her.
14 ೧೪ ಆಹಾ, ಆ ಯಾಜಕ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳು ಕುರುಡರಂತೆ ಬೀದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ; ರಕ್ತದಿಂದ ಹೊಲಸಾಗಿ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ, ಅವರ ಬಟ್ಟೆಯನ್ನು ಯಾರೂ ಮುಟ್ಟರು.
They wandered about blind in the streets; they were polluted with blood, so that men could not touch their garments.
15 ೧೫ ಅವರನ್ನು ನೋಡುವವರು, “ತೊಲಗಿರಿ, ಅಶುದ್ಧರು ನೀವು, ತೊಲಗಿರಿ, ತೊಲಗಿರಿ, ಮುಟ್ಟಬೇಡಿರಿ” ಎಂದು ಕೂಗುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಅವರು ಓಡಿಹೋಗಿ ಅನ್ಯದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆಯುತ್ತಿರಲು, “ಇವರು ಇನ್ನು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸಬಾರದು” ಎಂದು ಆಯಾ ದೇಶಗಳವರು ಅಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
They cried unto them, Depart! Unclean! Depart! depart, touch not! When they fled away, and wandered about, it was said among the nations, They shall no more sojourn [there].
16 ೧೬ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಉಗ್ರದೃಷ್ಟಿಯು ಅವರನ್ನು ಚದುರಿಸಿದೆ; ಆತನು ಇನ್ನು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಒಲವು ತೋರಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರು ಯಾಜಕರಾದರೇನು, ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮರ್ಯಾದೆ ತಪ್ಪಿದೆ; ವೃದ್ಧರಾದರೇನು, ಯಾರೂ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕರುಣಿಸರು.
The face of Jehovah hath divided them; he will no more regard them. They respected not the persons of the priests, they favoured not the aged.
17 ೧೭ ನಮಗೆ ಬರತಕ್ಕ ಸಹಾಯವನ್ನು ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಎದುರುನೋಡಿ ಕಣ್ಣು ಮೊಬ್ಬಾಯಿತು. ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಉದ್ಧರಿಸಲಾರದ ಜನಾಂಗದ ಆಗಮನವನ್ನು ನಮ್ಮ ಬುರುಜುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇವಲ್ಲಾ.
Our eyes still failed for our vain help; in our watching, we have watched for a nation that did not save.
18 ೧೮ ಶತ್ರುಗಳು ನಮ್ಮ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಯನ್ನು ಗುರಿಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮ ಬೀದಿಗಳಲ್ಲೇ ನಾವು ಸಂಚಾರ ಮಾಡದ ಹಾಗಾಯಿತು; ನಮಗೆ ಅಂತ್ಯವು ಸಮೀಪಿಸಿತು, ನಮ್ಮ ಕಾಲವು ತೀರಿತು; ಹೌದು, ನಮಗೆ ಅಂತ್ಯವು ಬಂದೇ ಬಂತು.
They hunted our steps, that we could not go in our streets: our end is near, our days are fulfilled; for our end is come.
19 ೧೯ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟಿದವರು ಆಕಾಶದ ಹದ್ದುಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ವೇಗಿಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬೆನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿ ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಂಚುಹಾಕಿದರು.
Our pursuers were swifter than the eagles of the heavens; they chased us hotly upon the mountains, they laid wait for us in the wilderness.
20 ೨೦ ಯಾವನು ನಮಗೆ ಜೀವಶ್ವಾಸವೋ, ಯಾವನು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಅಭಿಷಿಕ್ತನೋ, ಯಾವನನ್ನು ಆಶ್ರಯಿಸಿ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿಯುವೆವು ಎಂದು ನಾವು ನಂಬಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೆವೋ ಅವನು ಅವರ ಗುಂಡಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಬಿದ್ದನು.
The breath of our nostrils, the anointed of Jehovah, was taken in their pits; of whom we said, Under his shadow we shall live among the nations.
21 ೨೧ ಊಚ್ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುವ ಎದೋಮೆಂಬ ಕನ್ಯೆಯೇ, ಹರ್ಷಿಸು, ಉಲ್ಲಾಸಗೊಳ್ಳು; ಆದರೆ ರೋಷಪಾನದ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯು ನಿನ್ನ ಪಾಲಿಗೂ ಬರುವುದು; ಅಮಲೇರಿದವಳಾಗಿ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನೀನೇ ಬೆತ್ತಲೆಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿ.
Rejoice and be glad, daughter of Edom, that dwellest in the land of Uz: the cup shall pass also unto thee; thou shalt be drunken, and make thyself naked.
22 ೨೨ ಚೀಯೋನೆಂಬ ಕನ್ಯೆಯೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ದೋಷಫಲವೆಲ್ಲಾ ತೀರಿತು, ಯೆಹೋವನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಇನ್ನು ಸೆರೆಗೆ ಒಯ್ಯನು. ಎದೋಮೆಂಬ ಕನ್ಯೆಯೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ದೋಷದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಯೆಹೋವನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ದಂಡಿಸಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಪಾಪಗಳನ್ನು ಬೈಲಿಗೆ ತರುವನು.
The punishment of thine iniquity is accomplished, O daughter of Zion; he will no more carry thee away into captivity. He will visit thine iniquity, O daughter of Edom; he will discover thy sins.
