ನ್ಯಾಯಸ್ಥಾಪಕರು 2
1 ೧ ಯೆಹೋವನ ದೂತನು ಗಿಲ್ಗಾಲಿನಿಂದ ಬೋಕೀಮಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರಿಗೆ, “ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಐಗುಪ್ತದಿಂದ ಬರಮಾಡಿ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಿದ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆತಂದೆನು. ‘ನಿಮ್ಮೊಡನೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಎಂದೂ ಭಂಗಪಡಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ನಾನು ಮಾತು ಕೊಟ್ಟಾಗ,
The angel of the LORD came up from Gilgal to Bochim. He said, "I made you to go up out of Egypt, and have brought you to the land which I swore to your fathers; and I said, 'I will never break my covenant with you:
2 ೨ ನೀವು ಈ ದೇಶದ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳ ಸಂಗಡ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು; ಅವರ ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೆಡವಿಬಿಡಬೇಕು’ ಎಂದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದೆನು. ಆದರೆ ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಹೀಗೆ ಯಾಕೆ ಮಾಡಿದಿರಿ?
and you shall make no covenant with the inhabitants of this land; you shall break down their altars.' But you have not listened to my voice: why have you done this?
3 ೩ ‘ನೀವು ಹೀಗೆ ಮಾಡುವುದಾದರೆ ನಾನು ಈ ದೇಶ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮೆದುರಿನಿಂದ ಓಡಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಅವರು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪಕ್ಕೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಮುಳ್ಳುಗಳಾಗಿರುವರು; ಅವರ ದೇವತೆಗಳು ನಿಮಗೆ ಉರುಲಾಗುವವು’ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ಮೊದಲೇ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೆನಲ್ಲಾ” ಅಂದನು.
Therefore I also said, I will not drive them out from before you, but they will become your adversaries, and their gods shall be a snare to you."
It happened, when the angel of the LORD spoke these words to all the children of Israel, that the people lifted up their voice, and wept.
They called the name of that place Bochim: and they sacrificed there to the LORD.
6 ೬ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ಪಾಲಿಗೆ ಬಂದ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.
Now when Joshua had sent the people away, the children of Israel went every man to his inheritance to possess the land.
7 ೭ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅವನ ಕಾಲದಿಂದ ಇನ್ನೂ ಬದುಕಿದ್ದ, ಯೆಹೋವನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಮಾಡಿದ ಮಹತ್ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದ ಹಿರಿಯರ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ಯೆಹೋವನನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
The people served the LORD all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders who outlived Joshua, who had seen all the great work of the LORD that he had worked for Israel.
Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of the LORD, died, being one hundred ten years old.
9 ೯ ಅವನನ್ನು ಅವನ ಸ್ವಾಧೀನದ ಭೂಮಿಯಾದ ತಿಮ್ನತ್ ಹೆರೆಸ್ ಎಂಬಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮಾಧಿಮಾಡಿದರು. ಅದು ಎಫ್ರಾಯೀಮ್ ಪರ್ವತಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಗಾಷ್ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಉತ್ತರದಿಕ್ಕಿನಲ್ಲಿರುತ್ತದೆ.
They buried him in the territory of his inheritance in Timnath Serah, in the hill country of Ephraim, on the north of the mountain of Gaash.
10 ೧೦ ಅವನ ಕಾಲದವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದರು. ಆನಂತರ ಯೆಹೋವನನ್ನೂ, ಆತನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಮಾಡಿದ ಮಹತ್ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅರಿಯದಿದ್ದ ಬೇರೊಂದು ಸಂತಾನವು ಹುಟ್ಟಿತು.
And all that generation were also gathered to their fathers. And there arose another generation after them who did not know the LORD, nor the works which he had done for Israel.
The children of Israel did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, and served the Baals;
12 ೧೨ ತಮ್ಮ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರನ್ನು ಐಗುಪ್ತದಿಂದ ಕರತಂದ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಅನ್ಯದೇವತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅಂದರೆ, ತಮ್ಮ ಸುತ್ತಣ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳ ದೇವರುಗಳನ್ನು ಅವಲಂಬಿಸಿ, ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಡ್ಡಬಿದ್ದು ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಸಿಟ್ಟು ಬರುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು.
and they forsook the LORD, the God of their fathers, who brought them out of the land of Egypt, and followed other gods, of the gods of the peoples who were around them, and bowed themselves down to them: and they provoked the LORD to anger.
They forsook the LORD, and served Baal and the Ashtaroth.
14 ೧೪ ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಕೋಪವು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಯಿತು. ಆತನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಸೂರೆಮಾಡುವವರ ಕೈಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಲು ಅವರು ಅವರನ್ನು ಸೂರೆಮಾಡಿದರು. ಆತನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಸುತ್ತಣ ವೈರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಮಾರಿಬಿಟ್ಟನು. ಅವರು ಆ ಶತ್ರುಗಳ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಲ್ಲಲಾರದವರಾದರು.
The anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and he delivered them into the hands of marauders who plundered them; and he sold them into the hands of their enemies all around, so that they could not any longer stand before their enemies.
15 ೧೫ ಯೆಹೋವನು ತಾನು ಮೊದಲೇ ಆಣೆಯಿಟ್ಟು ಹೇಳಿದಂತೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋದರೂ ಆತನ ಕೈ ಅವರಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿಯೇ ಇತ್ತು. ಅವರು ಬಹು ಕಷ್ಟಗಳಿಗೆ ಗುರಿಯಾದರು.
Wherever they went out, the hand of the LORD was against them for harm, as the LORD had spoken, and as the LORD had sworn to them: and they were in great distress.
The LORD raised up judges, who saved them out of the hand of those who plundered them.
17 ೧೭ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ಅವರ ಮಾತನ್ನೂ ಕೇಳದೆ ಅನ್ಯದೇವರುಗಳನ್ನು ಪೂಜಿಸಿ, ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಡ್ಡಬಿದ್ದು ದೈವದ್ರೋಹಿಗಳಾದರು. ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ತಮ್ಮ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಬೇಗನೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಟ್ಟರು. ಅವರಂತೆ ನಡೆಯಲೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.
Yet they did not listen to their judges; for they played the prostitute after other gods, and bowed themselves down to them: they turned aside quickly out of the way in which their fathers walked, obeying the commandments of the LORD; but they did not do so.
18 ೧೮ ವೈರಿಗಳ ಹಿಂಸೆಯನ್ನು ತಾಳಲಾರದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರ ಗೋಳಾಟವನ್ನು ಯೆಹೋವನು ಕೇಳಿ, ಕನಿಕರಪಟ್ಟು, ನ್ಯಾಯಸ್ಥಾಪಕರನ್ನು ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿ ಜೀವಮಾನವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದನು. ಅವರ ಮೂಲಕವಾಗಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರನ್ನು ಶತ್ರುಗಳಿಂದ ಬಿಡಿಸಿದನು.
When the LORD raised up judges for them, then the LORD was with the judge, and saved them out of the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge: for it grieved the LORD because of their groaning by reason of those who oppressed them and troubled them.
19 ೧೯ ಅಂಥ ನ್ಯಾಯಸ್ಥಾಪಕರು ತೀರಿಹೋದನಂತರ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ಪುನಃ ತಮ್ಮ ಹಿರಿಯರಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ಭ್ರಷ್ಟರಾಗಿ ಅನ್ಯದೇವತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅವಲಂಬಿಸಿ, ಸೇವಿಸಿ, ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಡ್ಡಬಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ದುರ್ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳನ್ನು, ಮೊಂಡತನಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಡಲೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.
But it happened, when the judge was dead, that they turned back, and dealt more corruptly than their fathers, in following other gods to serve them, and to bow down to them; they did not cease from their practices, and they did not turn aside from their stubborn ways.
20 ೨೦ ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಕೋಪವು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಯಿತು. ಆತನು, “ಈ ಜನರ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರಿಗೆ ನಾನು ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಇವರು ಕೈಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ; ನನ್ನ ಮಾತಿಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.
The anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel; and he said, "Because this nation has transgressed my covenant which I commanded their fathers, and have not obeyed my voice;
21 ೨೧ ಹೀಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ಸಾಯುವ ಮೊದಲು ಹೊರಡಿಸದೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಒಂದನ್ನು ಹೊರಡಿಸಿಬಿಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
I will no longer drive out before them any of the nations that Joshua left when he died;
22 ೨೨ ಇವರೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಹಿರಿಯರಂತೆ ಜಾಗರೂಕತೆಯಿಂದ ಯೆಹೋವನಾದ ನನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುವರೋ ಇಲ್ಲವೋ ಎಂದು ಈ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳ ಮೂಲಕವಾಗಿ ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುವೆನು” ಅಂದನು.
that by them I may test Israel, whether they will keep the way of the LORD to walk in it, as their fathers kept it, or not."
So the LORD left those nations, without driving them out hastily; neither delivered he them into the hand of Joshua.
