ಯೋಹಾನನು 3
There was however, a man from among the Pharisees, Nicodemus, his name, —ruler of the Jews.
2 ೨ ಅವನು ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಆತನಿಗೆ, “ಗುರುವೇ, ನೀನು ದೇವರ ಬಳಿಯಿಂದ ಬಂದ ಬೋಧಕನೆಂದು ನಾವು ಬಲ್ಲೆವು. ನೀನು ಮಾಡುವಂಥ ಈ ಸೂಚಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ದೇವರ ಸಹಾಯವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಮಾಡುವುದು ಯಾರಿಂದಲೂ ಆಗದು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
The same, came unto him, by night, and said unto him—Rabbi! we know that, from God, thou hast come, a teacher; for, no one, can be doing, these signs, which, thou, art doing, except, God, be with him.
3 ೩ ಯೇಸು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನಾನು ನಿಜನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ, ಒಬ್ಬನುಹೊಸದಾಗಿ ಹುಟ್ಟದಿದ್ದರೆ ಅವನು ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕಾಣಲಾರನು,” ಎಂದು ಉತ್ತರ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
Jesus answered, and said unto him—Verily, verily, I say unto thee: Except one be born from above, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
4 ೪ ನಿಕೊದೇಮನು ಆತನನ್ನು, “ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಮುದುಕನಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ತಿರುಗಿ ಹುಟ್ಟುವುದು ಹೇಗೆ? ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಯ ಗರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡನೆಯ ಸಾರಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿ ಹುಟ್ಟುವುದಕ್ಕಾದೀತೇ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು.
Nicodemus saith unto him—How, can a man be born, when he is, old? Can he, into the womb of his mother, a second time, enter, and be born?
5 ೫ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೇಸು “ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ನಿಜನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ, ಒಬ್ಬನು ನೀರಿನಿಂದಲೂ ಮತ್ತು ಆತ್ಮನಿಂದಲೂ ಹುಟ್ಟದಿದ್ದರೆ ಅವನು ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಲಾರನು.
Jesus answered—Verily, verily, I say unto thee: Except one be born of water and spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
That which hath been born of the flesh, is, flesh, and, that which hath been born of the spirit, is, spirit.
Do not marvel, that I said unto thee: Ye must needs be born from above.
8 ೮ ಗಾಳಿಯು ಇಷ್ಟ ಬಂದ ಕಡೆ ಬೀಸುತ್ತದೆ. ನೀನು ಅದರ ಶಬ್ದವನ್ನು ಕೇಳುತ್ತೀ, ಆದರೆ ಅದು ಎಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಬರುತ್ತದೋ ಎಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತದೋ ನಿನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯದು. ಆತ್ಮನಿಂದ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಅದರಂತೆಯೇ” ಎಂದನು.
The spirit, where it pleaseth, doth breathe, and, the sound thereof, thou hearest; but knowest not, whence it cometh and whither it goeth: Thus, is every one who hath been born of the spirit.
Nicodemus answered, and said unto him—How, can these things, come about?
Jesus answered, and said unto him—Art, thou, the teacher of Israel, and, these things, knowest not?
11 ೧೧ ನಿನಗೆ ನಿಜನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ, ನಾವು ತಿಳಿದಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತೇವೆ ಮತ್ತು ನೋಡಿದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಕೊಡುತ್ತೇವೆ. ಆದರೂ ನೀವು ನಮ್ಮ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
Verily, verily, I say unto thee: What we know, we speak, and, of what we have seen, we bear witness, and, our witness, ye receive not.
12 ೧೨ ನಾನು ಭೂಲೋಕದ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದರೆ ನೀವು ನಂಬುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಪರಲೋಕದ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದರೆ ಹೇಗೆ ನಂಬುವಿರಿ?
If, the earthly things, I told you, and ye believe not, How, if I should tell you the heavenly things, will ye believe?
And, no one, hath ascended into heaven, save he that, out of heaven, descended, —The Son of Man.
14 ೧೪ ಇದಲ್ಲದೆಮೋಶೆಯು ಅಡವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಚಿನ ಸರ್ಪವನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ಎತ್ತಿ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಮನುಷ್ಯಕುಮಾರನು ಸಹ ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆ ಎತ್ತಲ್ಪಡಬೇಕು.
And, just as, Moses, lifted up the serpent in the desert, so, must, the Son of Man, be lifted up, —
That, whosoever believeth in him, may have life age-abiding. (aiōnios g166)
16 ೧೬ “ದೇವರು ಲೋಕದ ಮೇಲೆ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯನ್ನಿಟ್ಟು ತನ್ನ ಒಬ್ಬನೇ ಮಗನನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟನು ಆತನನ್ನು ನಂಬುವ ಒಬ್ಬನಾದರೂ ನಾಶವಾಗದೆ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ನಿತ್ಯಜೀವವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಬೇಕೆಂದು ಆತನನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟನು. (aiōnios g166)
For God, so loved, the world, that, his Only Begotten Son, he gave, —that, whosoever believeth on him, might not perish, but have life age-abiding. (aiōnios g166)
17 ೧೭ ದೇವರು ತನ್ನ ಮಗನ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯಾಗಬೇಕೆಂದು ಆತನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟನೇ ಹೊರತು ಅಪರಾಧಿಯೆಂದು ಖಂಡಿಸಲಿಕ್ಕೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.
For God, sent not, his Son into the world, that he might judge the world, but, that the world might be saved through him.
18 ೧೮ ಆತನನ್ನು ನಂಬುವವನಿಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರ್ಪು ಆಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಆದರೆ ನಂಬದವನಿಗೆ ಆಗಲೇ ತೀರ್ಪಾಯಿತು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ಅವನು ದೇವರ ಒಬ್ಬನೇ ಮಗನ ಹೆಸರಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಇಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.
He that believeth on him, is not to be judged: he that believeth not, already, hath been judged, —because he hath not believed on the name of the Only Begotten Son of God.
19 ೧೯ ಆ ತೀರ್ಪು ಏನೆಂದರೆಬೆಳಕು ಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದರೂ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳು ಕೆಟ್ಟವುಗಳಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಬೆಳಕಿಗಿಂತ ಕತ್ತಲೆಯನ್ನೇ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿದರು.
And, this, is the judgment: That, the light, hath come into the world, —and men loved, rather the darkness than the light, for, wicked, were their, works.
20 ೨೦ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವವರು ತಮ್ಮ ದುಷ್ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳು ಬಹಿರಂಗವಾಗಬಾರದೆಂದು ಬೆಳಕಿಗೆ ಬರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಮತ್ತು ಬೆಳಕನ್ನು ದ್ವೇಷಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
For, whosoever doth practise corrupt things, hateth the light, and cometh not unto the light, lest his works should be reproved;
21 ೨೧ ಆದರೆ ಸತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಿ ನಡೆಯುವವನು ತಾನು ದೇವರಿಂದ ನಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದವನಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಟಪಡಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬೆಳಕಿಗೆ ಬರುತ್ತಾನೆ.”
But, he that doeth the truth, cometh unto the light, that his works may be, made manifest, that, in God, have they been wrought.
22 ೨೨ ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ಯೇಸು ತನ್ನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರೊಡನೆ ಯೂದಾಯ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಜೊತೆ ಇದ್ದು, ದೀಕ್ಷಾಸ್ನಾನ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.
After these things, came Jesus, and his disciples, into the Judaean land; and, there, was he tarrying with them, and immersing.
23 ೨೩ ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಯೋಹಾನನೂ ಸಹ ಸಾಲಿಮ್ ಎಂಬ ಊರಿಗೆ ಹತ್ತಿರವಿರುವ ಐನೋನೆಂಬ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದು ದೀಕ್ಷಾಸ್ನಾನ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಬಹಳ ನೀರಿತ್ತು. ಜನರು ಬಂದು ದೀಕ್ಷಾಸ್ನಾನ ಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
And John also was immersing in Aenon, near to him, because, many waters, were there; and they were coming, and being immersed; —
for, not yet, had John been cast into prison.
There arose, therefore, a questioning, from among the disciples of John, with a Jew, —concerning purification.
26 ೨೬ ಆಗ ಅವರು ಯೋಹಾನನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ “ಗುರುವೇ, ಯೊರ್ದನ್ ನದಿಯ ಆಚೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಒಬ್ಬನ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀನು ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟೆಯಲ್ಲಾ, ಇಗೋ, ಆತನು ದೀಕ್ಷಾಸ್ನಾನ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ, ಆತನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲು
And they came unto John, and said unto him—Rabbi! he who was with thee beyond the Jordan, unto whom, thou, hast borne witness, see! the same, is immersing; and, all, are coming unto him.
John answered, and said—A man can receive, nothing, except it have been given him out of heaven.
28 ೨೮ ‘ನಾನು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನಲ್ಲ,’ ಆದರೆ ‘ಆತನಿಗೆ ಮುಂದಾಗಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವನಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ’ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ ನೀವೇ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದೀರಿ.
Ye yourselves, unto me, bear witness, that, I, said—I, am not the Christ; but—I am sent before, That One.
29 ೨೯ ಮದಲಗಿತ್ತಿಯುಳ್ಳವನೇ ಮದಲಿಂಗನು. ಆದರೂ ಮದಲಿಂಗನ ಗೆಳೆಯನು ಅವನ ಹತ್ತಿರ ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡು ಅವನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಮದಲಿಂಗನ ಧ್ವನಿಗೆ ಬಹು ಸಂತೋಷಪಡುತ್ತಾನಲ್ಲವೇ. ಆದಕಾರಣ ಈ ನನ್ನ ಸಂತೋಷವು ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣವಾಯಿತು.
He that hath the bride, is, bridegroom; but, the friend of the bridegroom, who standeth by and hearkeneth unto him, greatly, rejoiceth, by reason of the voice of the bridegroom. This, my joy, therefore, is fulfilled.
That One, it behoveth to increase, —but, me, to decrease.
31 ೩೧ ಮೇಲಿನಿಂದ ಬರುವವನು ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ಮೇಲಾದವನು, ಭೂಲೋಕದಿಂದ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದವನು ಭೂಲೋಕದವನಾಗಿದ್ದು ಭೂಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಆಡುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಪರಲೋಕದಿಂದ ಬರುವವನು ಎಲ್ಲವುಗಳಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ಮೇಲಾದವನು.
He that, from above, doth come, over all, is: he that is of the earth, of the earth, is, and, of the earth, doth speak: he that, out of heaven, doth come, over all, is,
What he hath seen and heard, of, the same, he beareth witness, —and, his witness, no one, receiveth: —
He that hath received his witness, hath set seal—that, God, is, true.
34 ೩೪ ಹೇಗೆಂದರೆ ದೇವರು ಯಾರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೋ ಆತನಿಗೆ ಆತ್ಮ ವರವನ್ನು ಅಳತೆಮಾಡದೆ ಧಾರಾಳವಾಗಿ ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸುವುದರಿಂದ ಆತನು ದೇವರ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನೇ ಆಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.
For, he whom God hath sent, the sayings of God, doth speak; for, not by measure, giveth he the Spirit.
The Father, loveth the Son, and, all things, hath given into his hand.
36 ೩೬ ಆತನ ಮಗನನ್ನು ನಂಬುವವನಿಗೆ ನಿತ್ಯಜೀವ ಉಂಟು. ಮಗನಿಗೆ ಅವಿಧೇಯನಾಗುವವನು ಜೀವವನ್ನು ಕಾಣುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ದೇವರ ಕೋಪವು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿರುವುದು.” (aiōnios g166)
He that believeth on the Son, hath life age-abiding: whereas, he that yieldeth not unto the Son, shall not see life, —but, the anger of God, awaiteth him. (aiōnios g166)
