ಯೋಹಾನನು 13
1 ೧ ಪಸ್ಕಹಬ್ಬದ ಹಿಂದಿನ ದಿನ ಯೇಸು, ತಾನು ಈ ಲೋಕವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ತಂದೆಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಬೇಕಾದ ತನ್ನ ಗಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿತೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡು, ಈ ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ತನ್ನವರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿ, ಅವರನ್ನು ಕೊನೆಯವರೆಗೂ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದನು.
Now before the feast of the passover, (Jesus knowing that his hour was come, when He should pass out of this world unto the Father, as He had loved his own, who were yet in the world, He loved them unto the end: )
2 ೨ ಅವರು ಭೋಜನಕ್ಕೆ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು, ಅಷ್ಟರೊಳಗೆ ಸೈತಾನನು ಸೀಮೋನನ ಮಗನಾದ ಇಸ್ಕರಿಯೋತ ಯೂದನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಡಬೇಕೆಂಬ ಆಲೋಚನೆಯನ್ನು ಹುಟ್ಟಿಸಿದನು.
supper being prepared, (the devil having put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon, to betray Him) Jesus,
3 ೩ ತಂದೆಯು ತನ್ನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆಂದೂ, ತಾನು ದೇವರ ಬಳಿಯಿಂದ ಬಂದು, ತಿರುಗಿ ದೇವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತೇನೆಂದೂ ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿದಿತ್ತು.
who knew that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that He came from God, and was going to God,
4 ೪ ಆತನು ಊಟದಿಂದ ಎದ್ದು ತನ್ನ ಮೇಲುಹೊದಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದಿಟ್ಟು ಅಂಗ ವಸ್ತ್ರವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ನಡುವಿಗೆ ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಂಡನು.
riseth from supper, and turneth aside his clothes, and took a towel and tied it about Him;
5 ೫ ಅನಂತರ ಬೋಗುಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೀರು ಹಾಕಿಕೊಂಡು ಶಿಷ್ಯರ ಪಾದಗಳನ್ನು ತೊಳೆಯುತ್ತಾ, ತಾನು ಸೊಂಟಕ್ಕೆ ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಂಡ ಅಂಗವಸ್ತ್ರದಿಂದ ಪಾದಗಳನ್ನು ಒರಸುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿದನು.
and then pouring water into a bason, began to wash the feet of his disciples, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith He was girded.
6 ೬ ಹೀಗೆ ಆತನು ಸೀಮೋನ ಪೇತ್ರನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಅವನು ಆತನಿಗೆ, “ಕರ್ತನೇ, ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಪಾದಗಳನ್ನು ತೊಳೆಯುತ್ತೀಯೋ?” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
He cometh therefore to Simon Peter among the rest, who saith unto Him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet?
Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou dost not now understand, but thou shalt know hereafter.
8 ೮ ಪೇತ್ರನು ಆತನಿಗೆ, “ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಪಾದಗಳನ್ನು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ತೊಳೆಯಬಾರದು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ, ಯೇಸು, “ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ತೊಳೆಯದಿದ್ದರೆ ನನ್ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಿನಗೆ ಪಾಲು ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ” ಎಂದನು. (aiōn g165)
Peter saith to Him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I do not wash thee, thou hast no part with me. (aiōn g165)
Simon Peter saith unto Him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head.
10 ೧೦ ಯೇಸು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ಸ್ನಾನಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡವನಿಗೆ ತನ್ನ ಪಾದಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ತೊಳೆದುಕೊಂಡರೆ ಸಾಕು, ಅವನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಶುದ್ಧನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ನೀವೂ ಶುದ್ಧರಾಗಿದ್ದೀರಿ. ಆದರೆ ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಶುದ್ಧರಲ್ಲ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
Jesus saith to him, He that hath been bathing, hath need only to wash his feet, being then clean all over: and thus ye are clean, but not all of you.
11 ೧೧ ಯೇಸು ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಕೊಡುವವನು ಯಾರೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದರಿಂದ, “ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಶುದ್ಧರಲ್ಲ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದನು.
For He knew who would betray Him; therefore He said, Ye are not all clean.
12 ೧೨ ಆತನು ಅವರ ಪಾದಗಳನ್ನು ತೊಳೆದ ಮೇಲೆ ತನ್ನ ಮೇಲುಹೊದಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿಕೊಂಡು, ಪುನಃ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ, “ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು ಏನೆಂದು ತಿಳಿಯಿತೋ?
And when He had washed their feet, and taken his clothes about Him, He sat down again, and said to them, Do ye know the intent of what I have been doing to you?
13 ೧೩ ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಗುರುವೆಂದೂ ಮತ್ತು ಕರ್ತನೆಂದೂ ಕರೆಯುತ್ತೀರಿ. ನೀವು ಹೇಳುವುದು ಸರಿ. ಹೌದು, ನಾನು ಅಂಥವನೇ ಆಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
Ye call me, Master, and Lord; and ye say well; for so I am.
14 ೧೪ ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ಕರ್ತನೂ, ಗುರುವೂ ಆಗಿರುವ ನಾನೇ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪಾದಗಳನ್ನು ತೊಳೆದಿರುವಾಗ, ನೀವು ಸಹ ಒಬ್ಬರ ಪಾದಗಳನ್ನೊಬ್ಬರು ತೊಳೆಯಬೇಕು.
If I then your Lord and Master have washed your feet, ye also ought to wash one another's feet.
For I have given you an example, that ye also should do as I have done to you.
16 ೧೬ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ನಿಜನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ; ತನ್ನ ದಣಿಗಿಂತ ಆಳು ದೊಡ್ಡವನಲ್ಲ. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಕಳುಹಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದವನಿಗಿಂತ ದೊಡ್ಡವನಲ್ಲ.
Verily, verily I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord, nor is the messenger greater than he that sent him.
If ye know these things, happy are ye, if ye do them.
18 ೧೮ ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಈ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಹೇಳಲಿಲ್ಲ. ನಾನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡವರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನು ನಾನು ಬಲ್ಲೆನು. ಆದರೆನನ್ನ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಊಟಮಾಡುವವನೇ, ನನಗೆ ದ್ರೋಹ ಬಗೆದನು, ಎಂಬ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದ ಮಾತು ನೆರವೇರಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ.
I speak not of you all; I know whom I have chosen: but have done it that the scripture may be fulfilled, He that eateth bread with me, hath lift up his heel against me.
19 ೧೯ ಅದು ನಡೆಯುವಾಗ ನಾನೇ ಆತನು ಎಂದು ನೀವು ನಂಬುವಂತೆ, ಅದು ಸಂಭವಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮೊದಲೇ ಅದನ್ನು ಈಗ ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
And I tell you now, before it come, that when it comes to pass ye may believe that I am the Messiah.
20 ೨೦ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ನಿಜನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ; ನಾನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದಾತನನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸುವವನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ; ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸುವವನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದಾತನನ್ನೇ ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.”
Verily, verily I say unto you, He that receiveth him, whom I shall send, receiveth me: and he that receiveth me, receiveth Him that sent me.
21 ೨೧ ಇದನ್ನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾ ಯೇಸು ಆತ್ಮದಲ್ಲಿ ನೊಂದುಕೊಂಡವನಾಗಿ, “ನಾನುನಿಮಗೆ ನಿಜನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ; ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾನೆ” ಎಂದು ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಹೇಳಿದನು.
Jesus having said these things was troubled in spirit, and He openly testified and said, Verily, verily I tell you, that one of you will betray me.
The disciples therefore looked on one another, doubting of whom He spake.
Now there was one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved, sitting next Him.
Simon Peter therefore beckoned to him to ask, who it was concerning whom He spake.
And he, reclining on the breast of Jesus, saith unto Him, Lord, who is it?
26 ೨೬ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೇಸು, “ನಾನು ಈ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯ ತುಂಡನ್ನು ಅದ್ದಿ ಯಾರಿಗೆ ಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೋ ಅವನೇ!” ಎಂದು ಉತ್ತರಿಸಿ ಆ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯ ತುಂಡನ್ನು ಅದ್ದಿ, ತೆಗೆದು, ಸೀಮೋನ್ ಇಸ್ಕರಿಯೋತನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೂದನಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
Jesus answered, It is he to whom I shall give a sop, when I have dipped it: and He dipped in a sop and gave it to Judas the Iscariot the son of Simon.
27 ೨೭ ಅವನು ಆ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯ ತುಂಡನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡ ಕೂಡಲೇ, ಸೈತಾನನು ಅವನೊಳಗೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿದನು. ಆಗ ಯೇಸು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನೀನು ಮಾಡುವುದನ್ನು ಬೇಗನೇ ಮಾಡು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
And after the sop Satan entred into him. Then Jesus saith unto him, What thou dost, do quickly.
But none of those that sat at table knew wherefore He said this to him.
29 ೨೯ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು, ಯೂದನ ವಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಣದ ಚೀಲವಿದ್ದುದರಿಂದ ಯೇಸು ಅವನಿಗೆ “ಹಬ್ಬಕ್ಕೆ ನಮಗೆ ಅಗತ್ಯವಾದವುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡುಕೋ ಎಂದೋ, ಅಥವಾ ಬಡವರಿಗೆ ಏನಾದರೂ ಕೊಡು ಎಂದೋ, ಯೇಸು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ” ಎಂದು ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡರು.
For some of them thought, because Judas kept the purse, that Jesus said to him, Buy what things we have need of against the feast: or that he should give something to the poor.
30 ೩೦ ಇಸ್ಕರಿಯೋತ ಯೂದನು ಆ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯ ತುಂಡನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡ ಕೂಡಲೇ, ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಎದ್ದು ಹೊರಗೆ ಹೋದನು. ಆಗ ರಾತ್ರಿಯಾಗಿತ್ತು.
He therefore, when he had taken the sop, immediately went out. And it was night.
31 ೩೧ ಅವನು ಹೊರಗೆ ಹೋದ ಮೇಲೆ ಯೇಸುವು, “ಈಗ ಮನುಷ್ಯಕುಮಾರನು ಮಹಿಮೆ ಹೊಂದುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಮತ್ತುದೇವರು ಆತನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಿಮೆ ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
And when he was gone out Jesus said, Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified in Him:
32 ೩೨ ದೇವರು ಆತನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಿಮೆ ಹೊಂದಿರುವುದರಿಂದ, ದೇವರು ಸಹ ಮನುಷ್ಯಕುಮಾರನನ್ನುತನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಿಮೆಪಡಿಸುವನು. ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಮಹಿಮೆಪಡಿಸುವನು.
and if God be glorified in Him, God will glorify Him in Himself, and will soon glorify Him.
33 ೩೩ ನನ್ನ ಮಕ್ಕಳೇ, ಇನ್ನು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಕಾಲವೇ ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುತ್ತೇನೆ. ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವಿರಿ ಆದರೆ ‘ನಾನು ಹೋಗುವಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ನೀವು ಬರಲಾರಿರಿ’ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದಂತೆಯೇ ನಿಮಗೂ ಈಗ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ.
Little children, I am to be with you but a little while longer. Ye will wish for me, and as I said to the Jews, "Whither I go ye cannot come", so I now tell you.
34 ೩೪ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಒಂದು ಹೊಸ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆ: ಏನೆಂದರೆ, ನೀವು ಒಬ್ಬರನ್ನೊಬ್ಬರು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಬೇಕು. ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿದ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನೀವೂ ಸಹ ಒಬ್ಬರನ್ನೊಬ್ಬರು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಬೇಕು, ಎಂಬುದೇ.
A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; ---as I have loved you, that ye also love one another: for by this shall all men know that ye are my disciples,
if ye have mutual love to each other.
36 ೩೬ ಸೀಮೋನ್ ಪೇತ್ರನು ಆತನಿಗೆ, “ಕರ್ತನೇ, ನೀನು ಎಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತೀ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೇಸು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನಾನು ಹೋಗುವ ಕಡೆಗೆ, ಈಗ ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಲಾರೆ. ಅನಂತರ ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸುವೆ” ಎಂದನು.
Simon Peter saith unto Him, Lord, whither art thou going? Jesus answered him, Whither I am going thou canst not follow me now, but thou shalt follow me hereafter.
37 ೩೭ ಪೇತ್ರನು ಆತನಿಗೆ, “ಕರ್ತನೇ, ನಾನು ಈಗ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಏಕೆ ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಲಾರೆನು? ನಿನಗಾಗಿ ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನೇ ಕೊಡುವೆನು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
Peter saith unto Him, Lord, why cannot I follow thee now? I will lay down my life for thee.
38 ೩೮ ಆಗ ಯೇಸು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನೀನು ನನಗಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನೇ ಕೊಡುವೆಯಾ? ನಿನಗೆ ನಿಜನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ: ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಮೂರು ಸಾರಿ ನಿರಾಕರಿಸುವ ತನಕ ಕೋಳಿಯು ಕೂಗುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ” ಎಂದನು.
Jesus answered him, Wilt thou lay down thy life for my sake? Verily verily I tell thee, The cock shall not crow till thou hast denied me thrice.
