ಯೋಬನು 7

1 ೧ ಭೂಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ ದುಡಿಯುವ ಕಾಲ ಉಂಟಲ್ಲವೇ. ಅವನ ದಿನಗಳು ಜೀತದಾಳಿನ ದಿನಗಳಂತೆ ಕಳೆಯುತ್ತವೆ.

[Is there] not an appointed time to man upon earth? [are not] his days also like the days of an hireling?

2 ೨ ನಾನು ಸಂಜೆಯನ್ನು ಬಯಸುವ ದಾಸನಂತೆಯೂ, ಕೂಲಿಯನ್ನು ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುವ ಆಳಿನಂತೆಯೂ ಇದ್ದೇನೆ.

As a servant earnestly desireth the shadow, and as an hireling looketh for [the reward of] his work:

3 ೩ ಬೇಸರಿಕೆಯ ಮಾಸಗಳೂ, ಆಯಾಸದ ರಾತ್ರಿಗಳೂ ನನ್ನ ಪಾಲಿಗೆ ನೇಮಕವಾಗಿವೆ.

So am I made to possess months of vanity, and wearisome nights are appointed to me.

4 ೪ ಮಲಗುವ ವೇಳೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವಾಗ ಏಳುವೆನೋ ಅಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವೆನು; ರಾತ್ರಿಯು ಬೆಳೆಯುತ್ತಾ ಹೋಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಉದಯದವರೆಗೂ ಹೊರಹೊರಳಿ ಸಾಕಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.

When I lie down, I say, When shall I arise, and the night be gone? and I am full of tossings to and fro unto the dawning of the day.

5 ೫ ಹುಳಗಳೂ, ಮಣ್ಣುಹಕ್ಕಳೆಗಳೂ ನನ್ನ ಮಾಂಸವನ್ನು ಮುಸುಕಿವೆ. (ಬಿರಿದ) ಚರ್ಮವು ಕೂಡುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದು ಬಿರಿಯುತ್ತದೆ.

My flesh is clothed with worms and clods of dust; my skin is broken, and become loathsome.

6 ೬ ನನ್ನ ದಿನಗಳು ಮಗ್ಗದ ಲಾಳಿಗಿಂತ ವೇಗವಾಗಿ, ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಕಳೆದು ಹೋಗುತ್ತವೆ.

My days are swifter than a weaver’s shuttle, and are spent without hope.

7 ೭ ನನ್ನ ಜೀವವು ಗಾಳಿಯಂತೆ ಇದೆಯೆಂತಲೂ, ನನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣು ಇನ್ನು ಸುಖವನ್ನು ಕಾಣುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೆಂತಲೂ ನೆನಪು ಮಾಡಿಕೋ.

O remember that my life [is] wind: mine eye shall no more see good.

8 ೮ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನೋಡುವವನ ಕಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ನಾನು ಕಾಣಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ನನ್ನ ಕಡೆ ಇದ್ದರೂ ನಾನು ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

The eye of him that hath seen me shall see me no [more: ] thine eyes [are] upon me, and I [am] not.

9 ೯ ಮೋಡ ಹರಿದು ಮಾಯವಾಗುವಂತೆ, ಪಾತಾಳಕ್ಕೆ ಇಳಿದು ಹೋದವನು ತಿರುಗಿ ಬರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. (Sheol h7585)

[As] the cloud is consumed and vanisheth away: so he that goeth down to the grave shall come up no [more]. (Sheol h7585)

10 ೧೦ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಪುನಃ ಸೇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ಅವನ ನಿವಾಸಕ್ಕೆ ಅವನ ಪರಿಚಯ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

He shall return no more to his house, neither shall his place know him any more.

11 ೧೧ ನಾನಂತೂ ಬಾಯಿಮುಚ್ಚುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಆತ್ಮವೇದನೆಯಿಂದ ಮಾತನಾಡುವೆನು, ಮನೋವ್ಯಥೆಯಿಂದ ಪ್ರಲಾಪಿಸುವೆನು.

Therefore I will not refrain my mouth; I will speak in the anguish of my spirit; I will complain in the bitterness of my soul.

12 ೧೨ ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಾವಲಿಡುವುದೇಕೆ? ನಾನೇನು ಸಮುದ್ರವೋ, ಸಾಗರವೆಂಬ ಘಟಸರ್ಪವೋ?

[Am] I a sea, or a whale, that thou settest a watch over me?

13 ೧೩ ನನ್ನ ಹಾಸಿಗೆಯು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸಂತೈಸುವುದು, ನನ್ನ ಮಂಚವು ನನ್ನ ಬಾಧೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊರುವುದು ಅಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಾಗ

When I say, My bed shall comfort me, my couch shall ease my complaint;

14 ೧೪ ನೀನು ಸ್ವಪ್ನಗಳಿಂದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬೆದರಿಸಿ, ದರ್ಶನಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಭಯಪಡಿಸುವಿ.

Then thou scarest me with dreams, and terrifiest me through visions:

15 ೧೫ ನನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮವು ಈ ಅಸ್ಥಿಪಂಜರದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿಯುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ, ಉಸಿರುಕಟ್ಟಿ ಸಾಯುವುದೇ ಲೇಸೆಂದು ಬಯಸುತ್ತದೆ.

So that my soul chooseth strangling, [and] death rather than my life.

16 ೧೬ ನಾನು ಬೇಸರಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ಹೀಗೆ ನಿರಂತರ ಬದುಕುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಇಷ್ಟವಿಲ್ಲ. ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಡು; ನನ್ನ ದಿನಗಳು ಉಸಿರಿನಂತಿವೆ.

I loathe [it; ] I would not live alway: let me alone; for my days [are] vanity.

17 ೧೭ ಮಾನವನು ಎಷ್ಟರವನು, ಅವನನ್ನು ನೀನು ಏಕೆ ಲಕ್ಷಿಸಬೇಕು? ಅವನಲ್ಲಿ ಏಕೆ ಮನಸ್ಸಿಡಬೇಕು?

What [is] man, that thou shouldest magnify him? and that thou shouldest set thine heart upon him?

18 ೧೮ ದಿನಂಪ್ರತಿ ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯವಿಟ್ಟು, ಕ್ಷಣಕ್ಷಣಕ್ಕೂ ಅವನನ್ನು ಪರಿಶೋಧಿಸುವುದೇಕೆ?

And [that] thou shouldest visit him every morning, [and] try him every moment?

19 ೧೯ ಇನ್ನೆಷ್ಟರವರೆಗೆ ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಕಡೆಯಿಂದ ದೃಷ್ಟಿ ತಿರುಗಿಸದೆ ಇರುವಿ? ಉಗುಳನ್ನು ನುಂಗುವಷ್ಟು ಕಾಲವಾದರೂ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೇ?

How long wilt thou not depart from me, nor let me alone till I swallow down my spittle?

20 ೨೦ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಾವಲಿಡುವವನೇ, ನಾನು ಪಾಪ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರೂ ನನ್ನ ಕೃತ್ಯದಿಂದ ನಿನಗೆ ಏನಾಯಿತು? ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಗೆ ಗುರಿಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದೇಕೆ? ನನಗೆ ನಾನೇ ಭಾರವಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ.

I have sinned; what shall I do unto thee, O thou preserver of men? why hast thou set me as a mark against thee, so that I am a burden to myself?

21 ೨೧ ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಅಪರಾಧವನ್ನು ಕ್ಷಮಿಸಿ ನನ್ನ ದೋಷವನ್ನು ಏಕೆ ಪರಿಹರಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ? ನಾನು ಈಗ ಮಣ್ಣಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಲಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವೆನು; ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವಾಗ ನಾನು ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಹೋಗಿರುವೆನು.

And why dost thou not pardon my transgression, and take away mine iniquity? for now shall I sleep in the dust; and thou shalt seek me in the morning, but I [shall] not [be].
