ಯೋಬನು 40

1 ೧ ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಯೋಬನಿಗೆ,

And Yahweh responded to Job, and said: —

2 ೨ “ತರ್ಕಮಾಡುವವನು ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತನಾದ ದೇವರ ಸಂಗಡಲೂ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವಾಡುವನೋ? ದೇವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ವಿವಾದಮಾಡುವವನು ಇದಕ್ಕೆಲ್ಲಾ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಡಲಿ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

Shall a reprover contend, with the Almighty? He that disputeth with GOD, let him answer it!

3 ೩ ಆಗ ಯೋಬನು ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತರವಾಗಿ,

Then Job responded to Yahweh, and said: —

4 ೪ “ಅಯ್ಯೋ, ನಾನು ಅಲ್ಪನೇ ಸರಿ, ನಿನಗೆ ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಏನು ಹೇಳಲಿ? ಬಾಯಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೈಯಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳುವೆನು.

Lo! I am of no account, what shall I reply to thee? My hand, have I laid on my mouth:

5 ೫ ಒಂದು ಸಾರಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ಪ್ರತಿವಾದ ಮಾಡಲಾರೆನು; ಎರಡು ಸಲ ಹೌದು, ಇನ್ನೇನೂ ನುಡಿಯಲಾರೆನು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

Once, have I spoken, but I will not proceed, yea twice, but I will not add.

6 ೬ ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಬಿರುಗಾಳಿಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಯೋಬನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಹೀಗೆಂದನು,

So then Yahweh responded to Job, out of a storm, and said: —

7 ೭ “ಶೂರನಂತೆ ನಡುಕಟ್ಟಿಕೋ! ನಾನು ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಮಾಡುವೆನು, ನೀನೇ ನನಗೆ ಉಪದೇಶಿಸು.

Gird, I pray thee—as a strong man—thy loins, I will ask thee, and inform thou me.

8 ೮ ನನ್ನ ನೀತಿಯನ್ನು ಖಂಡಿಸಿಬಿಡುವಿಯಾ? ನಿನ್ನ ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಕ್ಕೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೆಟ್ಟವನೆಂದು ನಿರ್ಣಯಿಸುವೆಯೋ?

Wilt thou even frustrate my justice? Wilt thou condemn me, that thou mayest appear right?

9 ೯ ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಯೂ, ದೇವರ ಕೈಯೂ ಸಮವೋ? ದೇವರ ಧ್ವನಿಯಂತೆ ಗುಡುಗಬಲ್ಲಿಯಾ?

But if, an arm like GOD, thou hast, and, with a voice like his, thou canst thunder,

10 ೧೦ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನೀನೇ ಮಹಿಮೆ ಘನತೆಗಳಿಂದ ಭೂಷಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಪ್ರಭಾವ ಮಹತ್ವಗಳನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿಕೋ.

Deck thyself, I pray thee, with majesty and grandeur, Yea, with dignity and splendour, thou shalt clothe thyself;

11 ೧೧ ತುಂಬಿ ತುಳುಕುವ ನಿನ್ನ ಕೋಪವನ್ನು ಎರಚಿ, ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ಗರ್ವಿಷ್ಠನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಣ್ಣಿಟ್ಟು ಅವನನ್ನು ತಗ್ಗಿಸು.

Pour out thy transports of anger, and look on every one who is high, and lay him low;

12 ೧೨ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ಗರ್ವಿಷ್ಠನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಣ್ಣಿಟ್ಟು ಕುಗ್ಗಿಸಿ, ದುಷ್ಟರನ್ನು ತಟ್ಟನೆ ಕೆಡವಿಬಿಡು.

Look on every one who is high, and humble him, yea tread down the lawless, on the spot:

13 ೧೩ ಅವರನ್ನು ಒಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಧೂಳಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅಡಗಿಸಿ, ಅಂಧಕಾರ ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಮುಖಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಸುಕು ಹಾಕು.

Hide them in the dust all together, Their faces, bind thou in darkness;

14 ೧೪ ಹೀಗಾದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಬಲಭುಜವು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಬಲ್ಲದೆಂದು ನಾನೇ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೊಗಳುವೆನು.

And, even I myself, will praise thee, in that thine own right hand can bring thee salvation.

15 ೧೫ ನಿನ್ನಂತೆ ನನ್ನ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿರುವ ನೀರಾನೆಯನ್ನು ನೋಡು; ಎತ್ತಿನ ಹಾಗೆ ಹುಲ್ಲನ್ನು ಮೇಯುವುದು.

Behold, I pray thee, the Hippopotamus, which I made with thee, Grass—like the ox, he eateth;

16 ೧೬ ಇಗೋ, ಅದರ ಬಲವು ಸೊಂಟದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಅದರ ಶಕ್ತಿಯು ಹೊಟ್ಟೆಯ ನರಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸೇರಿಕೊಂಡಿವೆ.

Behold, I pray thee, his strength in his loins, and his force, in the muscles of his belly;

17 ೧೭ ತನ್ನ ಬಾಲವನ್ನು ದೇವದಾರುವಿನ ಮರದಂತೆ ಬಾಗಿಸುವುದು; ಅದರ ತೊಡೆಯ ನರಗಳು ಹೆಣೆದುಕೊಂಡಿವೆ.

He bendeth down his tail like a cedar, the sinews of his thighs, are twisted together;

18 ೧೮ ಅದರ ಮೂಳೆಗಳು ತಾಮ್ರದ ನಳಗಳಂತೆಯೂ, ಅದರ ಎಲುಬುಗಳು ಕಬ್ಬಿಣದ ಹಾರೆಗಳಂತೆಯೂ ಇರುವವು.

His bones, are barrels of bronze, his frame, is like hammered bars of iron:

19 ೧೯ ಅದು ದೇವರ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯವಾದದ್ದು. ಅದನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿದವನು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೋರೆ ಹಲ್ಲೆಂಬ ಶಸ್ತ್ರವನ್ನೂ ಒದಗಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

He, is the beginning of the ways of GOD, Let his maker, present him his sword:

20 ೨೦ ಗುಡ್ಡಗಳು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಮೇವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವವು; ಕಾಡುಮೃಗಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಆಡುತ್ತಿರುವವು;

Surely the mountains bring, produce, to him, where, all the wild beasts of the field, do play;

21 ೨೧ ತಾವರೆಯ ಗಿಡಗಳ ಕೆಳಗೂ, ಆಪಿನ ಮರೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಜವುಗು ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಮಲಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು.

Under the lotus-trees, he lieth down, in a covert of reed and swamp;

22 ೨೨ ತಾವರೆ ಗಿಡಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ನೆರಳನ್ನು ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಹರಡುವವು, ನದಿಯ ನೀರವಂಜಿಗಳು ಅದನ್ನು ಸುತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವವು.

The lotus-trees cover him with their shade, the willows of the torrent-bed compass him about;

23 ೨೩ ಓಹೋ, ಹೊಳೆಯು ಉಕ್ಕಿ ಬಂದರೂ ಅದು ಹೆದರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಪ್ರವಾಹವು ಅದರ ಬಾಯೊಳಗೆ ನುಗ್ಗಿದರೂ ಧೈರ್ಯದಿಂದಿರುವುದು.

Lo! the river becometh insolent—he is not alarmed! He is confident, though a Jordan burst forth to his mouth:

24 ೨೪ ಯಾರಾದರೂ ಕಣ್ಣೆದುರಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅದನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದಾನೇ? ಗಾಳದಿಂದ ಅದರ ಮೂಗನ್ನು ಚುಚ್ಚಬಲ್ಲನೇ?” ಎಂದನು.

Before his eyes, shall he be caught? With a hook, can one pierce his nose?
