ಯೋಬನು 17

1 ೧ “ನನ್ನ ಉಸಿರು ಕಟ್ಟುತ್ತಿದೆ, ನನ್ನ ಆಯಷ್ಕಾಲವು ಮುಗಿದಿವೆ, ಗೋರಿಯು ನನಗಾಗಿ ಕಾದಿದೆ.

My breath is corrupt, my days are extinct, the graves [are ready] for me.

2 ೨ ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವವರು ಹಾಸ್ಯಗಾರರೇ ಸರಿ, ಅವರ ಕೆಣಕಾಟವು ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ನನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣಿನ ಮುಂದೆ ಇದೆ.

[Are there] not mockers with me? and doth not my eye continue in their provocation?

3 ೩ ಕೃಪೆಮಾಡಿ ಈಡನ್ನು ಕೊಡು, ನನಗಾಗಿ ನೀನೇ ನಿನ್ನ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಹೊಣೆಯಾಗು, ನನ್ನ ಕೈ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೈ ಹಾಕತಕ್ಕವರು ನನಗೆ ಇನ್ನಾರೂ ಇಲ್ಲ.

Lay down now, put me in a surety with thee; who [is] he [that] will strike hands with me?

4 ೪ ವಿವೇಕವು ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸದಂತೆ; ಅವರ ಮನಸ್ಸನ್ನು, ಹೃದಯವನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿರುವೆ, ಹೀಗೆ ಅವರು ಜಯಶೀಲರಾಗದಂತೆ ತಡೆಯುವೆ.

For thou hast hid their heart from understanding: therefore shalt thou not exalt [them].

5 ೫ ಯಾರು ಸ್ವಲಾಭಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಮಿತ್ರರ ಮೇಲೆ ದೂರು ಹೊರಿಸುವನೋ, ಅವನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಕಂಗೆಡುವರು.

He that speaketh flattery to [his] friends, even the eyes of his children shall fail.

6 ೬ ಆತನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಅನ್ಯದೇಶದವರ ವ್ಯರ್ಥ ಆಪಾದನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಗುರಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ, ಜನರ ಉಗುಳಿಗೆ ನನ್ನ ಮುಖ ಗುರಿಯಾಗಿದೆ.

He hath made me also a by-word of the people; and in former time I was as a tabret.

7 ೭ ದುಃಖದಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣು ಮೊಬ್ಬಾಗಿದೆ, ನನ್ನ ಅಂಗಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ನೆರಳಿನಂತೆ ನಿಸ್ಸಾರವಾಗಿವೆ.

My eye also is dim by reason of sorrow, and all my members [are] as a shade.

8 ೮ ಯಥಾರ್ಥಜನರು ಇದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಬೆರಗಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ, ಮತ್ತು ನಿರಪರಾಧಿಯು ಭ್ರಷ್ಟನ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಚ್ಚರಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.

Upright [men] shall be astonished at this, and the innocent shall stir up himself against the hypocrite.

9 ೯ ಹೀಗಾದರೂ ಶಿಷ್ಟನು ತನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನೇ ಹಿಡಿದು ನಡೆಯುವನು, ಶುದ್ಧಹಸ್ತನು ಬಲಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಲೇ ಇರುವನು.

The righteous also shall hold on his way, and he that hath clean hands shall be stronger and stronger.

10 ೧೦ ಆದರೆ ನೀವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಮತ್ತೆ ವಾದಕ್ಕೆ ಬನ್ನಿರಿ, ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬ ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯನ್ನಾದರೂ ಕಾಣೆನು.

But as for you all, do ye return, and come now: for I cannot find [one] wise [man] among you.

11 ೧೧ ನನ್ನ ದಿನಗಳು ಮುಗಿದುಹೋದವು. ನನ್ನ ಉದ್ದೇಶಗಳೂ, ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದ ಆಶೆಗಳೂ ಭಂಗವಾದವು.

My days are past, my purposes are broken off, [even] the thoughts of my heart.

12 ೧೨ ಇವರು ಇರುಳನ್ನು ಹಗಲೆಂದು ಸಾಧಿಸಿ, ಕತ್ತಲಿಂದ ಬೆಳಕು ಬೇಗನೆ ಬರುವುದೆಂದು ತಿಳಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.

They change the night into day: the light [is] short because of darkness.

13 ೧೩ ನಾನು ಪಾತಾಳವನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಮನೆಯೆಂದು ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿ, ನನ್ನ ಹಾಸಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ಕತ್ತಲಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ. (Sheol h7585)

If I wait, the grave [is] my house: I have made my bed in the darkness. (Sheol h7585)

14 ೧೪ ಸಮಾಧಿಯನ್ನು, ‘ನೀನು, ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆ’ ಎಂದೂ ಹುಳವನ್ನು, ‘ನನ್ನ ತಾಯಿ, ನನ್ನ ತಂಗಿ’ ಎಂದೂ ಕರೆಯುವುದಾದರೆ,

I have said to corruption, Thou [art] my father: to the worm, [Thou art] my mother, and my sister.

15 ೧೫ ನನ್ನ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆ ಎಂಥದು? ನನ್ನ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನು ಯಾರು ನೋಡುವರು?

And where [is] now my hope? as for my hope, who will see it?

16 ೧೬ ಅದು ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಪಾತಾಳಕ್ಕೆ ಇಳಿದು ಬಂದೀತೇ? ನಾವು ಜೊತೆಯಾಗಿ ಧೂಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವೇ?” (Sheol h7585)

They shall go down to the bars of the pit, when [our] rest together [is] in the dust. (Sheol h7585)
