ಯೋಬನು 16

1 ೧ ಆಗ ಯೋಬನು ಹೀಗೆ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟನು,

Then Job answered, and said:

2 ೨ “ಇಂಥಾ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ನೀವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಬೇಸರಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಹುಟ್ಟಿಸುವ ಮಾತನಾಡುವಿರಿ. ಆದರಣೆಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಬಾಧಿಸುವವರು ನೀವು.

I have often heard such things as these: you are all troublesome comforters.

3 ೩ ನೀವಾಡುವ ಒಣಮಾತುಗಳಿಗೆ ಇತಿಮಿತಿ ಇಲ್ಲವೇ? ಇಂತಹ ಮಾತನಾಡಲು ಒತ್ತಾಯಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆಯೇ?

Shall windy words have no end? or is it any trouble to thee to speak?

4 ೪ ನಾನೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಬಲ್ಲೆನು; ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮಂತೆ ಇದ್ದಿದ್ದರೆ, ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೆಣೆದು ನಿಮ್ಮ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ತಲೆಯಾಡಿಸಬಹುದಾಗಿತ್ತು.

I also could speak like you: and would God your soul were for my soul. I would comfort you also with words, and would wag my head over you.

5 ೫ ನಾನೂ ಬಾಯಿಮಾತಿಗಾಗಿ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಧೈರ್ಯಗೊಳಿಸಿ, ತುಟಿಗಳ ಆದರಣೆಯಿಂದ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದುಃಖವನ್ನು ಶಮನಪಡಿಸಬಹುದಾಗಿತ್ತು.

I would strengthen you with my mouth, and would move my lips, as sparing you.

6 ೬ ನಾನು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರೂ, ನನ್ನ ಮನೋವ್ಯಥೆಯು ಶಾಂತವಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಸುಮ್ಮನಾದರೂ, ಕಷ್ಟ ನಿವಾರಣೆಯಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

But what shall I do? If I speak, my pain will not rest: and if I hold my peace, it will not depart from me.

7 ೭ ಆದರೆ ಈಗ ಆತನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕುಂದಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ; (ದೇವಾ) ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಬಳಗದವರನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹಾಳು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಿ.

But now my sorrow hath oppressed me, and all my limbs are brought to nothing.

8 ೮ ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದಿರುವುದು ನನಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಗಿದೆ, ನನ್ನ ಬಲಹೀನವು ನನ್ನ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ನನ್ನ ಮುಖದ ಮುಂದೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಕೊಡುತ್ತದೆ.

My wrinkles bear witness against me, and a false speaker riseth up against my face, contradicting me.

9 ೯ ಆತನ ಸಿಟ್ಟು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸೀಳಿ ಹಿಂಸಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ; ಆತನು ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಲ್ಲು ಕಡಿದಿದ್ದಾನೆ, ಆತನು ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ತೀಕ್ಷ್ಣ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

He hath gathered together his fury against me, and threatening me he hath gnashed with his teeth upon me: my enemy hath beheld me with terrible eyes.

10 ೧೦ ನನಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಹಲವರು ಗುಂಪುಕೂಡಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಅಣಕಿಸಿ ಛೀಮಾರಿ ಹಾಕಿ, ನನ್ನ ದವಡೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಡಿದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

They have opened their mouths upon me, and reproaching me they have struck me on the cheek, they are filled with my pains.

11 ೧೧ ದೇವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಅಪರಿಶುದ್ಧರಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿ, ದುಷ್ಟರ ಕೈಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

God hath shut me up with the unjust man, and hath delivered me into the hands of the wicked.

12 ೧೨ ನಾನು ನೆಮ್ಮದಿಯಿಂದಿದ್ದಾಗ ಆತನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಒಡೆದು ಹಾಕಿದನು; ಕತ್ತುಹಿಡಿದು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಚೂರು ಚೂರು ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಬಾಣ ಪ್ರಯೋಗಿಸಲು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಗುರಿಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

I that was formerly so wealthy, am all on a sudden broken to pieces: he hath taken me by my neck, he hath broken me, and hath set me up to be his mark.

13 ೧೩ ಆತನ ಬಾಣಗಳು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಮುತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡಿವೆ. ಆತನು ಕರುಣೆಯಿಲ್ಲದೆ ನನ್ನ ಅಂತರಂಗವನ್ನು ಇರಿದು, ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ನನ್ನ ಪಿತ್ತವನ್ನು ಸುರಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.

He hath compassed me round about with his lances, he hath wounded my loins, he hath not spared, and hath poured out my bowels on the earth.

14 ೧೪ ಮೇಲಿಂದ ಮೇಲೆ ನನಗೆ ಪೆಟ್ಟುಕೊಟ್ಟು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಶಕ್ತಿಹೀನನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಶೂರನ ಹಾಗೆ ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಎರಗುತ್ತಾನೆ.

He hath torn me with wound upon wound, he hath rushed in upon me like a giant.

15 ೧೫ ಗೋಣಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಲೆದು ಮೈಮೇಲೆ ಹಾಕಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ನನ್ನ ಕೊಂಬನ್ನು ಧೂಳಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತಗ್ಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ.

I have sowed sackcloth upon my skin, and have covered my flesh with ashes.

16 ೧೬ ಕಣ್ಣೀರು ಸುರಿಯುವುದರಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಮುಖವು ಕೆಂಪಾಗಿ ಹೋಗಿದೆ. ರೆಪ್ಪೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಮರಣಾಂಧಕಾರವು ಕವಿದಿದೆ.

My face is swollen with weeping, and my eyelids are dim.

17 ೧೭ ಆದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಕೈ ಯಾವ ಬಲಾತ್ಕಾರವನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡಿಲ್ಲವಲ್ಲಾ, ನನ್ನ ವಿಜ್ಞಾಪನೆಯು ನಿರ್ಮಲವಾದದ್ದು.

These things have I suffered without the iniquity of my hand, when I offered pure prayers to God.

18 ೧೮ ಭೂಮಿಯೇ, ನನ್ನ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಬೇಡ! ನನ್ನ ಮೊರೆಗೆ ಬಿಡುವು ಸಿಕ್ಕದಿರಲಿ!

O earth, cover not thou my blood, neither let my cry find a hiding place in thee.

19 ೧೯ ಆಹಾ, ಈಗಲೂ ನನ್ನ ಕಡೆಯ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯು ಆಕಾಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಂಟು, ನನ್ನ ಪಕ್ಷದ ಹೊಣೆಗಾರನು ಮೇಲಣ ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

For behold my witness is in heaven, and he that knoweth my conscience is on high.

20 ೨೦ ಗೆಳೆಯರೋ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೀನೈಸುವವರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ, ನಾನಾದರೋ ದೇವರ ಮುಂದೆ ಕಣ್ಣೀರು ಸುರಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವೆನು.

My friends are full of words: my eye poureth out tears to God.

21 ೨೧ ನನ್ನ ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ದೇವರ ಮುಂದೆಯೂ, ಮಾನವನ ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ಅವನ ಮಿತ್ರನ ಮುಂದೆಯೂ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲಿ ಎಂದು ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಕಣ್ಣೀರು ಸುರಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.

And O that a man might so be judged with God, as the son of man is judged with his companion!

22 ೨೨ ನಾನು ಹಿಂದಿರುಗದ ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು, ಕೆಲವು ವರ್ಷಗಳೊಳಗೆ ಹಿಡಿಯುವೆನು.”

For behold short years pass away and I am walking in a path by which I shall not return.
