ಯೋಬನು 14

1 ೧ “ಮಾನವ ಜನ್ಮ ಪಡೆದವನು, ಅಲ್ಪಾಯುಷ್ಯನಾಗಿಯೂ, ಕಳವಳದಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿದವನಾಗಿಯೂ ಇರುವನು.

Man that is born of a woman is of few days and full of trouble.

2 ೨ ಹೂವಿನ ಹಾಗೆ ಅರಳಿ ಬಾಡುವನು, ನೆರಳಿನಂತೆ ನಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಓಡಿಹೋಗುವನು.

He comes forth like a flower, and is cut down: he flees also as a shadow, and continues not.

3 ೩ ನೀನು ಇಂಥವನಾದ ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಣ್ಣಿಟ್ಟು, ನಿನ್ನ ನ್ಯಾಯಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬರಮಾಡುವಿಯಾ?

And does you open your eyes upon such an one, and bring me into judgment with you?

4 ೪ ಅಶುದ್ಧದಿಂದ ಶುದ್ಧವು ಉಂಟಾದೀತೇ? ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಇಲ್ಲ.

Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? not one.

5 ೫ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ದಿನಗಳು ಇಷ್ಟೇ ಎಂಬುದು ತೀರ್ಮಾನವಾಗಿದೆಯಲ್ಲಾ; ಅವನ ತಿಂಗಳುಗಳ ಲೆಕ್ಕವು ನಿನಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತು; ದಾಟಲಾರದ ಗಡಿಗಳನ್ನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ನೇಮಿಸಿದ್ದಿ.

Seeing his days are determined, the number of his months are with you, you have appointed his bounds that he cannot pass;

6 ೬ ನಿನ್ನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಅವನ ಕಡೆಯಿಂದ ತಿರುಗಿಸು, ಅವನಿಗೆ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ವಿರಾಮವಿರಲಿ, ಕೂಲಿಯವನಿಗಿರುವಷ್ಟು ಸಂತೋಷದಿಂದಾದರೂ ತನ್ನ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಕಳೆಯಲಿ.

Turn from him, that he may rest, till he shall accomplish, as a worker, his day.

7 ೭ ಕಡಿದ ಮರವೂ, ತಾನು ಮೊಳೆಯುವುದನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸದೆ, ಮತ್ತೆ ಚಿಗುರುವೆನೆಂದು ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತದಲ್ಲವೇ!

For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease.

8 ೮ ನೆಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಅದರ ಬೇರು ಹಳೆಯದಾದರೂ, ಮಣ್ಣಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸತ್ತರೂ,

Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground;

9 ೯ ಮಳೆ ನೀರಿನ ವಾಸನೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ಅದು ಮೊಳೆತು, ಚಿಗುರಿ ಗಿಡದ ಹಾಗೆ ಕವಲೊಡೆಯುವುದು.

Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant.

10 ೧೦ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಾದರೋ ಸತ್ತು ಬೋರಲುಬೀಳುವನು, ಪ್ರಾಣಹೋಗಲು ಅವನ ಅಂತ್ಯವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.

But man dies, and wastes away: yea, man gives up the spirit, and where is he?

11 ೧೧ ಸರೋವರದ ನೀರು ಬತ್ತುವಂತೆ, ನದಿಯ ನೀರು ಆವಿಯಾಗಿ ಒಣಗುವ ಹಾಗೆ,

As the waters fail from the sea, and the flood decays and dries up:

12 ೧೨ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಮಲಗಿಕೊಂಡು ಏಳದೇ ಇರುವರು; ಆಕಾಶವು ಅಳಿದು ಹೋಗುವ ತನಕ ಅವರು ನಿದ್ರೆಯನ್ನು, ತಿಳಿಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

So man lies down, and rises not: till the heavens be no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep.

13 ೧೩ ನಿನ್ನ ಕೋಪವು ಇಳಿಯುವ ವರೆಗೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಮರೆಮಾಡಿ, ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಪಾತಾಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಚ್ಚಿಟ್ಟು, ನನಗೆ ಅವಧಿಯನ್ನು ಗೊತ್ತುಮಾಡಿ ಕಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರೆ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಒಳ್ಳೇದು! (Sheol h7585)

O that you would hide me in the grave, that you would keep me secret, until your wrath be past, that you would appoint me a set time, and remember me! (Sheol h7585)

14 ೧೪ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಸತ್ತು ಪುನಃ ಬದುಕುವನೇ? ಹಾಗಾಗುವುದಾದರೆ ನನಗೆ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾಗುವವರೆಗೆ, ನನ್ನ ವಾಯಿದೆಯ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕಾದುಕೊಂಡಿರುವೆನು.

If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.

15 ೧೫ ನೀನು ಕರೆದರೆ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಡುವೆನು, ನೀನು ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿದ ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿನಗೆ ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಹುಟ್ಟೀತು.

You shall call, and I will answer you: you will have a desire to the work of your hands.

16 ೧೬ ಈಗ ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಗಳನ್ನು ಲೆಕ್ಕಿಸಿ, ನನ್ನ ಪಾಪದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಾವಲಾಗಿದ್ದೀಯಲ್ಲಾ!

For now you number my steps: do you not watch over my sin?

17 ೧೭ ನನ್ನ ದ್ರೋಹವನ್ನು ಚೀಲದಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟು ಮುದ್ರಿಸಿ, ನನ್ನ ದೋಷವನ್ನು ಭದ್ರವಾಗಿ ಕಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೀ.

My transgression is sealed up in a bag, and you sew up mine iniquity.

18 ೧೮ ಆದರೆ ಪರ್ವತವೂ ಬಿದ್ದು ಕರಗಿಹೋಗುವುದು, ಬಂಡೆಯು ತನ್ನ ಸ್ಥಳದಿಂದ ಜರುಗುವುದು,

And surely the mountains falling comes to nothing, and the rock is removed out of his place.

19 ೧೯ ನೀರು ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಸವೆಯಿಸುವುದು, ಜಲಪ್ರವಾಹಗಳು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮಣ್ಣನ್ನು ಕೊಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವವು. ಹೀಗೆಯೇ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನು ಹಾಳುಮಾಡುವಿ.

The waters wear the stones: you wash away the things which grow out of the dust of the earth; and you destroys the hope of man.

20 ೨೦ ನೀನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾದ ಅಪಜಯವನ್ನುಂಟು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಗತಿಸಿ ಹೋಗುವನು. ನೀನು ಅವನ ಮುಖವನ್ನು ಮಾರ್ಪಡಿಸಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ತೊಲಗಿಸಿಬಿಡುವಿ.

You prevail for ever against him, and he passes: you change his countenance, and send him away.

21 ೨೧ ಅವನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಘನತೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುವುದು ಅವನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರು ಅಧೋಗತಿಗೆ ಗುರಿಯಾದರೂ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಗೋಚರವಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

His sons come to honour, and he knows it not; and they are brought low, but he perceives it not of them.

22 ೨೨ ಆದರೂ ಅವನ ದೇಹದ ಕಣಕಣವು ನೋವನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವುದು, ಅವನ ಆತ್ಮವು ಪ್ರಲಾಪಿಸುವುದು.”

But his flesh upon him shall have pain, and his soul within him shall mourn.
