ಯೋಬನು 11

1 ೧ ಆಗ ನಾಮಾಥ್ಯನಾದ ಚೋಫರನು ಹೀಗೆಂದನು,

Then answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said,

2 ೨ “ಬಹಳ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತರ ಕೊಡಬಾರದೋ? ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡುವವ ನೀತಿವಂತನೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಾನೇ?

Should not the multitude of words be answered? and should a man full of talk be justified?

3 ೩ ನೀನು ಬಡಾಯಿಕೊಚ್ಚಿದರೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಸುಮ್ಮನಿರಬೇಕೋ? ನೀನು ಕುಚೋದ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡುವಾಗ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಯಾರೂ ನಾಚಿಕೆಗೆ ಒಳಪಡಿಸಬಾರದೋ?

Should thy falsehoods make men hold their peace? and when thou mockest, shall no man make thee ashamed?

4 ೪ ‘ನನ್ನ ಬೋಧನೆಯು ನಿರ್ಮಲವಾದದ್ದು, ದೇವದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶುದ್ಧನಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ’ ಎಂದು ನೀನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೀಯಲ್ಲಾ.

For thou hast said, My doctrine [is] pure, and I am clean in thy eyes.

5 ೫ ಆಹಾ, ದೇವರು ಬಾಯ್ದೆರೆದು ನಿನ್ನ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರೆ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಉತ್ತಮ!

But Oh that God would speak, and open his lips against thee;

6 ೬ ಆತನು ಜ್ಞಾನದ ರಹಸ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ನಿನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿ, ಸುಜ್ಞಾನವು ಬಹುಮುಖವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ತೋರಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರೆ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಲೇಸು! ದೇವರು ನಿನ್ನ ಅಧರ್ಮವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಗಣನೆಗೆ ತರಲಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಕೋ!

And that he would show thee the secrets of wisdom, that [they are] double to that which is! Know therefore that God exacteth of thee [less] than thy iniquity [deserveth].

7 ೭ ದೇವರ ಅಗಾಧಗಳನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳಬಲ್ಲೆಯಾ? ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತನಾದ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಗ್ರಹಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬಹುದೋ?

Canst thou by searching find out God? canst thou find out the Almighty to perfection?

8 ೮ ಆಹಾ, (ಆತನ ಜ್ಞಾನವು) ಆಕಾಶದ ಹಾಗೆ ಉನ್ನತವಾಗಿದೆ; ನೀನು ಮಾಡುವುದೇನು? ಪಾತಾಳಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಆಳವಾಗಿದೆ; ನೀನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದೇನು? (Sheol h7585)

[It is] as high as heaven; what canst thou do? deeper than hell; what canst thou know? (Sheol h7585)

9 ೯ ಅದರ ಅಳತೆಯು ಭೂಮಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ಉದ್ದವಾಗಿದೆ, ಸಮುದ್ರಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ಅಗಲವಾಗಿದೆ.

The measure of it [is] longer than the earth, and broader than the sea.

10 ೧೦ ಆತನು ಹಾದುಹೋದರೂ, ಸೆರೆಯಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟರೂ, ನ್ಯಾಯವಿಚಾರಣೆಗೆ ಕರೆದರೂ ಆತನನ್ನು ತಳ್ಳಿಬಿಡುವವರು ಯಾರು?

If he shall cut off, and shut up, or gather together, then who can hinder him?

11 ೧೧ ಆತನೇ ವ್ಯರ್ಥ ಜನರನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು; ಯಾವ ವಿಮರ್ಶೆಯೂ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಅಧರ್ಮವನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಹಿಡಿಯುವನು.

For he knoweth vain men: he seeth wickedness also; will he not then consider [it]?

12 ೧೨ ಕಾಡುಕತ್ತೆಯ ಮರಿಗೆ ನರಜನ್ಮವಾದರೆ ಅವಿವೇಕಿಯಾದ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ವಿವೇಕವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುವನು.

For vain man would be wise, though man is born [like] a wild ass's colt.

13 ೧೩ ನೀನಂತು ಮನಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಪರಿವರ್ತಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ದೇವರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಕೈಗಳನ್ನೆತ್ತಿ ಸ್ತುತಿಸು.

If thou preparest thy heart, and stretchest out thy hands towards him;

14 ೧೪ ಅಧರ್ಮವು ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರೆ ಅದನ್ನು ದೂರಮಾಡಿಬಿಡು; ಅನ್ಯಾಯವು ನಿನ್ನ ಗುಡಾರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸದಿರಲಿ.

If iniquity [is] in thy hand, put it far away, and let not wickedness dwell in thy tabernacles.

15 ೧೫ ಆಗ ನೀನು ನಿಷ್ಕಳಂಕವಾದ ಮುಖವನ್ನೆತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡು, ಸ್ಥಿರಚಿತ್ತನೂ, ನಿರ್ಭಯನೂ ಆಗಿರುವಿ.

For then shalt thou lift up thy face without spot; yes, thou shalt be steadfast, and shalt not fear:

16 ೧೬ ನಿನ್ನ ಕಷ್ಟವನ್ನು ಮರೆತುಬಿಡುವಿ; ಹರಿದುಹೋದ ನೀರನ್ನೋ ಎಂಬಂತೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿ.

Because thou shalt forget [thy] misery, [and] remember [it] as waters [that] pass away:

17 ೧೭ ನಿನ್ನ ಜೀವಮಾನವು ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನದ ಬೆಳಕಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಜ್ವಲಿಸುವುದು, ಕತ್ತಲಿದ್ದರೂ ಹಗಲಿನಂತಿರುವುದು.

And [thy] age shall be clearer than the noon-day: thou shalt shine forth, thou shalt be as the morning.

18 ೧೮ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಗೆ ಆಸ್ಪದವಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಧೈರ್ಯಗೊಂಡಿರುವಿ, ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ನೋಡಿ ಅಪಾಯವಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ವಿಶ್ರಮಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿ.

And thou shalt be secure, because there is hope; yes, thou shalt dig [about thee], [and] thou shalt take thy rest in safety.

19 ೧೯ ಮಲಗಿಕೊಂಡಾಗ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಯಾರೂ ಹೆದರಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಅನೇಕರು ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಖ ಪ್ರಸನ್ನತೆಯನ್ನು ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸುವರು.

Also thou shalt lie down, and none shall make [thee] afraid; yes, many shall make suit to thee.

20 ೨೦ ಆದರೆ ದುಷ್ಟರು ನಿರಾಶ್ರಯರಾಗಿ ಕಂಗೆಡುವರು, ಪ್ರಾಣಬಿಡಬೇಕೆಂಬುದೇ ಅವರ ಬಯಕೆ.”

But the eyes of the wicked shall fail, and they shall not escape, and their hope [shall be as] the expiration of the breath.
