ಯೆರೆಮೀಯನು 47
1 ೧ ಫರೋಹನು ಗಾಜಾ ಊರನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಂಚಿತವಾಗಿ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ಯೆರೆಮೀಯನಿಗೆ ದಯಪಾಲಿಸಿದ ವಾಕ್ಯ.
The word of the LORD that came to Jeremiah the prophet against the Philistines, before Pharaoh smote Gaza.
2 ೨ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಇಂತೆನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ, “ಇಗೋ, ಪ್ರವಾಹವು ಉತ್ತರದಿಕ್ಕಿನಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ತುಂಬಿತುಳುಕುವ ತೊರೆಯಾಗಿ ದೇಶವನ್ನೂ, ಅದರಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸಮಸ್ತವನ್ನೂ, ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನೂ ಮತ್ತು ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಆಕ್ರಮಿಸುವುದು. ಆಗ ಅಲ್ಲಿನವರು ಮೊರೆಯಿಡುವರು, ದೇಶದವರೆಲ್ಲಾ ಗೋಳಾಡುವರು.
Thus saith the LORD; Behold, waters rise out of the north, and shall be an overflowing flood, and shall overflow the land, and all that is in it; the city, and them that dwell therein: then the men shall cry, and all the inhabitants of the land shall howl.
3 ೩ ಶತ್ರುವಿನ ಕುದುರೆಗಳ ಗೊರಸುಗಳು ನೆಲವನ್ನು ಅಪ್ಪಳಿಸುವ ಶಬ್ದಕ್ಕೂ, ರಥಗಳ ರಭಸಕ್ಕೂ, ಚಕ್ರಗಳ ಬಿರುಗುಟ್ಟುವಿಕೆಗೂ ತಂದೆಗಳು ಹೆದರುತ್ತಾ ಜೋಲುಗೈ ಉಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿ ನೋಡರು.
At the noise of the stamping of the hoofs of his strong [horses], at the rushing of his chariots, [and at] the rumbling of his wheels, the fathers shall not look back to [their] children for feebleness of hands:
4 ೪ ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಸೂರೆಯಾಗುವರು, ತೂರಿನ ಮತ್ತು ಚೀದೋನಿನ ಸಹಾಯಕರಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿದವರೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಿರ್ಮೂಲವಾಗುವರು; ಕಫ್ತೋರ್ ದ್ವೀಪದವರಿಂದ ಉತ್ಪನ್ನರಾದ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರನ್ನು ಯೆಹೋವನೇ ಸೂರೆಮಾಡುವನು.
Because of the day that cometh to lay waste all the Philistines, [and] to cut off from Tyre and Zidon every helper that remaineth: for the LORD will lay waste the Philistines, the remnant of the country of Caphtor.
5 ೫ “ಗಾಜಾ ಊರು ಬೋಳಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ, ಅಷ್ಕೆಲೋನ್ ನಾಶಹೊಂದಿದೆ; ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯದ ಬಯಲು ಸೀಮೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿದ ಪಟ್ಟಣವೇ, ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಎಂದಿನ ವರೆಗೆ ಕತ್ತರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿರುವಿ?
Baldness is come upon Gaza; Ashkelon is cut off [with] the remnant of their valley: how long wilt thou cut thyself?
6 ೬ ಅಯ್ಯೋ, ಯೆಹೋವನ ಖಡ್ಗವೇ, ಇನ್ನೆಷ್ಟರವರೆಗೆ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಗೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಇರುವಿ? ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಒರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಡಗಿಸಿಕೋ! ಶಾಂತವಾಗಿ, ಸುಮ್ಮನಿರು!
O thou sword of the LORD, how long [will it be] ere thou be quiet? put up thyself into thy scabbard, rest, and be still.
7 ೭ ಖಡ್ಗವು ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಗೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ಹೇಗೆ? ಅಷ್ಕೆಲೋನಿನ ಮತ್ತು ಕರಾವಳಿಯ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಕೊಟ್ಟನಲ್ಲಾ; ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಅದನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ.”
How can it be quiet, seeing the LORD hath given it a charge against Ashkelon, and against the sea shore? there hath he appointed it.
