2 ೨ ಐಗುಪ್ತವನ್ನು ಕುರಿತದ್ದು; ಐಗುಪ್ತದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಫರೋಹ ನೆಕೋವಿನ ಸೈನ್ಯವು ಯೂಫ್ರೆಟಿಸ್ ನದಿಯ ಬಳಿ ಕರ್ಕೆಮೀಷಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವಾಗ ಯೋಷೀಯನ ಮಗನೂ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನೂ ಆದ ಯೆಹೋಯಾಕೀಮನ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಯ ನಾಲ್ಕನೆಯ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನು ಆ ಸೈನ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದ ವಿಷಯ:

4 ೪ ರಥಾಶ್ವಗಳನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿರಿ, ವಾಹನಾಶ್ವಗಳನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿರಿ, ಶಿರಸ್ತ್ರಾಣಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿಕೊಂಡು ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಲ್ಲಿರಿ, ಭರ್ಜಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆಳಗಿರಿ, ಕವಚಗಳನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ.

5 ೫ ಆಹಾ, ನನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದದ್ದೇನು? ಅವರು ಧೈರ್ಯಗೆಟ್ಟು ಬೆನ್ನುಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರ ಶೂರರು ಪೆಟ್ಟುತಿಂದು ಹಿಂದಿರುಗದೆ ಓಡಿಹೋಗುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತಲು ದಿಗಿಲು ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವನು ಅನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ.

6 ೬ ವೇಗಶಾಲಿಗಳೂ ಓಡಿಹೋಗಲಾರರು, ಬಲಿಷ್ಠರೂ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾರರು. ಉತ್ತರ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಯೂಫ್ರೆಟಿಸ್ ನದಿಯ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಎಡವಿಬಿದ್ದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

8 ೮ ಐಗುಪ್ತವೇ ನೈಲ್ ನದಿಯಂತೆ ಉಬ್ಬಿದೆ; ಐಗುಪ್ತವೆಂಬ ಪ್ರವಾಹವೇ ನೈಲ್ ನದಿಯ ಶಾಖೆಗಳ ಹಾಗೆ ತುಂಬಿ ತುಳುಕುತ್ತದೆ; ‘ನಾನು ಉಬ್ಬಿಕೊಂಡು ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹಬ್ಬುವೆನು, ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡುವೆನು’ ಅಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತದೆ.

9 ೯ ಅಶ್ವಗಳೇ, ಕುಣಿದಾಡಿರಿ! ರಥಗಳೇ, ರಭಸವಾಗಿರಿ! ಶೂರರು ಹೊರಡಲಿ! ಖೇಡ್ಯ ಸನ್ನದ್ಧರಾದ ಕೂಷ್ಯರು, ಪೂಟ್ಯರು, ಧನುರ್ಧಾರಿಗಳಾದ ಲೂದ್ಯರು ಮುಂದೆ ಹೋಗಲಿ!

10 ೧೦ ಆದರೆ ಆ ಯುದ್ಧ ದಿನವು ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನೆಂಬ ಕರ್ತನು ತನ್ನ ಶತ್ರುಗಳಿಗೆ ಮುಯ್ಯಿತೀರಿಸುವ ದಿನವಾಗಿದೆ; ಅದು ದಂಡನೆಯ ದಿನ; ಆಗ ಖಡ್ಗವು ನುಂಗಿ ತಣಿಯುವುದು, ಅವರ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನು ತುಂಬಾ ಹೀರುವುದು. ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನೆಂಬ ಕರ್ತನು ಉತ್ತರ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಯೂಫ್ರೆಟಿಸ್ ನದಿಯ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಬಲಿಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದಿದ್ದಾನಲ್ಲಾ.

14 ೧೪ “ಐಗುಪ್ತದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಿರಿ, ಮಿಗ್ದೋಲ್, ತಹಪನೇಸ್, ನೋಫ್, ಎಂಬ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಚುರಪಡಿಸಿರಿ, ‘ಐಗುಪ್ತವೇ, ಸ್ಥಿರವಾಗಿ ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡು ಸನ್ನದ್ಧವಾಗು! ಖಡ್ಗವು ನಿನ್ನ ಸುತ್ತಲು ನುಂಗಿಬಿಟ್ಟಿದೆ’ ಎಂದು ಸಾರಿರಿ.

18 ೧೮ ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನೆಂಬ ನಾಮವುಳ್ಳ ರಾಜಾಧಿರಾಜನು ಇಂತೆನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ, “ನನ್ನ ಜೀವದಾಣೆ, ಇಗೋ, ಪರ್ವತಗಳನ್ನು ಮೀರುವ ತಾಬೋರ್ ಬೆಟ್ಟದಂತೆಯೂ, ಸಮುದ್ರದಿಂದ ಎದ್ದಿರುವ ಕರ್ಮೆಲ್ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಹಾಗೂ ಉನ್ನತನಾದವನೊಬ್ಬನು ಬರುವನು.

28 ೨೮ ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ಯಾಕೋಬೇ, ಭಯಪಡಬೇಡ, ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನೊಂದಿಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ನಾನು ಯಾವ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಅಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೆನೋ ಆ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಿರ್ಮೂಲಮಾಡುವೆನು; ನಿನ್ನನ್ನೋ ನಿರ್ಮೂಲಮಾಡೆನು. ಮಿತಿಮೀರಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಿಸೆನು, ಆದರೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷಿಸದೆ ಬಿಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಇದು ಯೆಹೋವನ ನುಡಿ.”
