ಯೆರೆಮೀಯನು 17
1 ೧ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಪಾಪವು ಉಕ್ಕಿನ ಕಂಠದಿಂದಲೂ ಹಾಗೂ ವಜ್ರದ ಮೊನೆಯಿಂದಲೂ ಲಿಖಿತವಾಗಿದೆ. ಅದು ಅವರ ಹೃದಯದ ಹಲಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಅವರ ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಗಳ ಕೊಂಬುಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಕೆತ್ತಿದೆ.
The sin of Judah, is written With a stylus of iron, With the point of a diamond: It is engraved Upon the tablet of their heart, And upon the horns of your altars;
2 ೨ ಅವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಸೊಂಪಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆದಿರುವ ಮರಗಳನ್ನು ಎತ್ತರವಾದ ಗುಡ್ಡಗಳನ್ನು ಕಂಡಾಗೆಲ್ಲಾ, ಅವರ ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಅಶೇರ ವಿಗ್ರಹಸ್ತಂಭಗಳನ್ನು ಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು.
So long as their sons remember their altars, and their Sacred Stems, By the green tree, —Upon the high hills,
3 ೩ ಬಯಲಿನ ನನ್ನ ಪರ್ವತದ ಜನರೇ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಕಲ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ಮಾಡಿದ ಪಾಪದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ, ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸೊತ್ತು ಸಂಪತ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಗು ಪೂಜಾಸ್ಥಳಗಳನ್ನು ಸೂರೆಗೆ ಈಡು ಮಾಡುವೆನು.
O my mountain in the field Thy substance all thy treasures, for a prey, will I give: Thy high places for sin, within all thy bounds.
4 ೪ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ದಯಪಾಲಿಸಿದ ಸ್ವತ್ತನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೋಷದಿಂದಲೇ ಕಳೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿರಿ. ನೀವು ನೋಡದ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಶತ್ರುಗಳಿಗೆ ದಾಸರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವೆನು. ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ರೋಷಾಗ್ನಿಯನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿದ್ದೀರಿ, ಅದು ನಿತ್ಯವೂ ಉರಿಯುತ್ತಿರುವುದು.
So shalt thou even of thyself, suffer to rest the inheritance which I gave thee, Seeing that I will cause thee to serve thine enemies, in the land which thou knowest not; For, a fire, have ye kindled in mine anger, Unto times age-abiding, shall it burn.
5 ೫ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಹೀಗೆನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ, “ಮಾನವ ಮಾತ್ರದವರಲ್ಲಿ ಭರವಸವಿಟ್ಟು, ನರಜನ್ಮದವರನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಭುಜಬಲವೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದು, ಯೆಹೋವನನ್ನು ತೊರೆಯುವ ಮನಸ್ಸುಳ್ಳವನು ಶಾಪಗ್ರಸ್ಥನು.
Thus, saith Yahweh Accursed is the man—Who trusteth in a son of earth, And hath made flesh his arm, —And whose heart from Yahweh, turneth aside:
6 ೬ ಇವನು ಅಡವಿಯಲ್ಲಿನ ಜಾಲಿಗೆ ಸಮಾನನು; ಶುಭ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದರೂ ಅವನು ಅದನ್ನು ಕಾಣನು. ಯಾರೂ ವಾಸಿಸದ ಚೌಳು ನೆಲವಾಗಿರುವ ಅರಣ್ಯದ ಬೆಗ್ಗಾಡಿನಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುವ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯೇ ಅವನದು.
Therefore shall he become as a shrub in the waste plain, Neither shall he perceive when good cometh, But shall inhabit Parched places in a wilderness, A land of salt that cannot be dwelt in.
Blessed is the man Who trusteth in Yahweh, To whom Yahweh is his ground of confidence;
8 ೮ ನೀರಾವರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ಹೊಳೆಯ ದಡದಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಬೇರುಗಳನ್ನು ಹರಡಿ, ಧಗೆಗೆ ಭಯಪಡದೆ, ಹಸುರೆಲೆಯನ್ನು ಚಿಗುರಿಸುತ್ತಾ, ಕ್ಷಾಮದ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಿಶ್ಚಿಂತೆಯಾಗಿ ಸದಾ ಫಲಕೊಡುತ್ತಾ ಇರುವ ಮರಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರು ಸಮಾನವಾಗಿರುವರು.”
For he shall become like a tree planted by waters, And, by a stream, shall he send out his roots, Neither shall he perceive when heat cometh, But, his leaf shall continue green: Even in a year of dearth, shall he not be anxious, Neither shall he cease from bearing fruit.
Deceitful is the heart above all things And, dangerously wayward, —Who can know it?
10 ೧೦ ಯೆಹೋವನಾದ ನಾನು ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನಿಗೂ ಕರ್ಮಫಲವನ್ನು ಅವನವನ ನಡತೆಗೆ ತಕ್ಕ ಹಾಗೆ ಕೊಡಬೇಕೆಂದು, ಹೃದಯವನ್ನು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುವವನೂ, ಅಂತರಿಂದ್ರಿಯವನ್ನು ಶೋಧಿಸುವವನೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
I—Yahweh, Searching the heart, Testing the affections; And giving to every man According to his way, According to the fruit of his doings.
11 ೧೧ ಆಸ್ತಿಪಾಸ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಅನ್ಯಾಯವಾಗಿ ಸಂಪಾದಿಸಿಕೊಂಡವನು ತನ್ನದಲ್ಲದ ಮರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಕೌಜುಗ ಹಕ್ಕಿಗೆ ಸಮಾನನು. ಅವನ ಮಧ್ಯಪ್ರಾಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವು ಅವನಿಂದ ತೊಲಗಿಹೋಗುವವು; ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಅಂತ್ಯಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಚ್ಚನಾಗಿ ಕಂಡುಬರುವನು.
As a partridge gathereth eggs she did not lay, [So] is he that maketh riches but not with justice, —In the midst of his days, shall he leave them, And in his latter end, prove to have been base.
A throne of glory, exalted from the beginning, hath been the place of our sanctuary.
13 ೧೩ ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯೇ, ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋಗುವವರು ಆಶಾಭಂಗಪಡುವರು. ಯೆಹೋವನಾದ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ತೊರೆದವರು ಜೀವಜಲದ ಬುಗ್ಗೆಯನ್ನು ತೊರೆದವರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ಅವರ ಹೆಸರು ಧೂಳಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆಯಲ್ಪಡುವುದು.
Thou hope of Israel Yahweh, All who forsake thee, shall turn pale, —Yea, all who depart from me, in the ground, shall be written, For they have forsaken a fountain of living water, even Yahweh.
14 ೧೪ ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಪಡಿಸು, ಆಗ ಸ್ವಸ್ಥನಾಗುವೆನು. ನನ್ನನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸು, ಆಗ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವೆನು; ನೀನೇ ನನಗೆ ಸ್ತುತ್ಯನು.
Heal thou me O Yahweh, that I may be healed, Save me that I may be saved, —For, my praise, thou art!
Lo! they, are saying unto me, —Where is the word of Yahweh? Pray thee let it come to pass!
16 ೧೬ ನಾನಾದರೋ ಸಭಾಪಾಲನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸುವುದನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಲು ಆತುರಪಡಲಿಲ್ಲ. ವಿಪತ್ತಿನ ಅನಿವಾರ್ಯ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಅದನ್ನು ನೀನೇ ಬಲ್ಲೆ. ನಿನ್ನ ಸಮಕ್ಷಮದಲ್ಲೇ ನನ್ನ ಬಾಯ ಮಾತು ಹೊರಟಿತು.
But as for me, I have neither forced myself away from tending the flock after thee, Nor yet for the woeful day, have I longed—thou, knowest, —That which came out of my lips, before thy face, was uttered.
Do not thou become to me a terror, —My refuge, art thou, in the day of calamity.
18 ೧೮ ನನ್ನ ಹಿಂಸಕರಿಗೆ ಅವಮಾನವಾಗಲಿ, ನನಗಾಗದಿರಲಿ. ಭಯಭ್ರಾಂತಿಯು ಅವರನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯಲಿ, ನನ್ನನ್ನಲ್ಲ. ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕೇಡುಗಾಲವನ್ನು ಬರಮಾಡಿ ವಿಪರೀತ ಕೇಡಿನಿಂದ ಅವರನ್ನು ನಾಶಪಡಿಸು.
Let my persecutors, turn pale, but let not me, turn pale, Let, them, be terrified, but let not, me, be terrified, —Bring thou upon them a day of calamity, And with a double fracture, destroy them.
19 ೧೯ ಯೆಹೋವನು ನನಗೆ ಇಂತೆಂದನು, “ನೀನು ಹೊರಟು ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸರು ಹೋಗಿ ಬರುವ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಜನರ ಬಾಗಿಲಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಬಾಗಿಲುಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೀಗೆ ಸಾರು,
Thus, said Yahweh unto me—Go and stand in the gate of the sons of the people, through which the kings of Judah enter in, and through which they come out, —also in all the gates of Jerusalem.
20 ೨೦ ‘ಈ ಬಾಗಿಲುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರುವ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸರೇ, ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರೇ, ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಸಕಲ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳೇ, ಯೆಹೋವನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿರಿ.
Then shalt thou say unto them—Hear ye the word of Yahweh Ye kings of Judah and all Judah, And all ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, —who enter in through these gates:
21 ೨೧ ಮನಮುಟ್ಟಿ ಗಮನಿಸಿರಿ, ಸಬ್ಬತ್ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವ ಹೊರೆಯನ್ನೂ ಹೊರಬೇಡಿರಿ, ಅದನ್ನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಬಾಗಿಲುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತರಲೇಬೇಡಿರಿ.
Thus, saith Yahweh, Take heed unto your souls, —And do not bear any burden on the sabbath day, Nor bring it in through the gates of Jerusalem, —
22 ೨೨ ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮನೆಗಳಿಂದ ಯಾವ ಹೊರೆಯನ್ನೂ ಈಚೆಗೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬರಬೇಡಿರಿ, ಯಾವ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡದಿರಿ. ಸಬ್ಬತ್ ದಿನವನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ದಿನವೆಂದು ಆಚರಿಸಿರಿ; ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರಿಗೆ ನಾನು ಹೀಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞೆಮಾಡಿದೆನಲ್ಲಾ.
Neither shall ye take forth any burden out of your houses on the sabbath day, Nor any manner of work, shall ye do, —But ye shall hallow the sabbath day, As I commanded your fathers.
Howbeit they hearkened not, neither inclined their ear, —but stiffened their neck, that they might not hearken, neither receive correction.
24 ೨೪ ಯೆಹೋವನಾದ ನನ್ನ ನುಡಿ ಇದೇ, ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಕಿವಿಗೊಟ್ಟು, ಸಬ್ಬತ್ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಊರಿನ ಬಾಗಿಲುಗಳೊಳಗೆ ಯಾವ ಹೊರೆಯನ್ನೂ ತಾರದೆ, ಯಾವ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡದೆ, ಆ ದಿನವನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ದಿನವೆಂದು ಆಚರಿಸಿದರೆ,
And it shall come to pass, —If ye will, indeed hearken, unto me Declareth Yahweh, To bring in no burden through the gates of this city, on the sabbath day, —But to hallow the sabbath day, by not doing thereon any manner of work,
25 ೨೫ ಆಗ ದಾವೀದನ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನಾರೂಢರಾದ ಅರಸರೂ, ಪ್ರಭುಗಳೂ ರಥಾಶ್ವಗಳನ್ನು ಏರಿದವರಾಗಿ ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಬಾಗಿಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುವರು. ಇವರು, ಇವರ ಪ್ರಧಾನರು, ಯೆಹೂದದ ಜನರು, ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳು, ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರುವರು. ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ನಿತ್ಯವೂ ನೆಲೆಯಾಗಿರುವುದು.
Then shall enter in through the gates of this city, Kings and princes Sitting on the throne of David, Riding in chariots and on horses They, and their princes, The men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, And this city shall remain unto times age-abiding.
26 ೨೬ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು, ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಸುತ್ತಣ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳು, ಬೆನ್ಯಾಮೀನ್ ಸೀಮೆ, ಇಳಕಲಿನ ಪ್ರದೇಶ, ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಮೇಲಣ ಪ್ರದೇಶ, ದಕ್ಷಿಣಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯ ಈ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ಸರ್ವಾಂಗಹೋಮಪಶು, ಯಜ್ಞಪಶು, ನೈವೇದ್ಯ, ಧೂಪ ಎಂಬ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತಾ ಅರ್ಪಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಜನರು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬರುವರು.
And they shall come in—Out of the cities of Judah and Out of the places round about Jerusalem, and Out of the land of Benjamin, and Out of the lowlands, and out of the hill country, and Out of the South, Bringing in ascending-offering, and peace-offering, and meal-offering, and frankincense, —Even they who bring in a thank-offering into the house of Yahweh,
27 ೨೭ ಆದರೆ ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡದೆ, ಸಬ್ಬತ್ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊರೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಬಾಗಿಲುಗಳೊಳಗೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಬಾರದೆಂಬ ನಿಯಮವನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ, ಆ ದಿನವನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ದಿನವೆಂದು ಆಚರಿಸದೆ ಇದ್ದರೆ ಆಗ ನಾನು ಊರಬಾಗಿಲುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಂಕಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತಿಸುವೆನು, ಅದು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಉಪ್ಪರಿಗೆಗಳನ್ನು ದಹಿಸಿಬಿಡುವುದು, ಆರುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ’” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
But, if ye will not hearken unto me—To hallow the sabbath day, And to bear no burden and bring in through the gates of Jerusalem, on the sabbath day, Then will I kindle a fire within her gates, And it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem, And shall not be quenched.
