ಯೆರೆಮೀಯನು 15
1 ೧ ಯೆಹೋವನು ನನಗೆ ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದನು, “ಮೋಶೆಯು ಮತ್ತು ಸಮುವೇಲನು ನನಗೆ ವಿಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದರೂ ನನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಈ ಜನರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ನನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣೆದುರಿನಿಂದ ಇವರನ್ನು ನೂಕಿಬಿಡು, ತೊಲಗಿ ಹೋಗಲಿ!
Then the LORD said to me: “Even if Moses and Samuel should stand before Me, My heart would not go out to this people. Send them from My presence, and let them go.
2 ೨ ಅವರು, ‘ನಾವು ಎಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗೋಣ?’ ಎಂದು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೇಳಲು ನೀನು ಅವರಿಗೆ, ‘ಮರಣ ವ್ಯಾಧಿಗೆ ನೇಮಿತರಾದವರು ಮರಣವ್ಯಾಧಿಗೆ, ಖಡ್ಗಕ್ಕೆ ನೇಮಿತರಾದವರು ಖಡ್ಗಕ್ಕೆ ಬಲಿಯಾಗಲಿ. ಕ್ಷಾಮಕ್ಕೆ ನೇಮಿತರಾದವರು ಕ್ಷಾಮಕ್ಕೆ, ಸೆರೆಗೆ ನೇಮಿತರಾದವರು ಸೆರೆಗೆ ಗುರಿಯಾಗಿ ಹೋಗಲಿ; ಇದೇ ಯೆಹೋವನ ನುಡಿ’” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳು.
If they ask you, ‘Where shall we go?’ you are to tell them that this is what the LORD says: ‘Those destined for death, to death; those destined for the sword, to the sword; those destined for famine, to famine; and those destined for captivity, to captivity.’
3 ೩ “ನಾನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ನಾಲ್ಕು ವಿಧವಾದ ಬಾಧಕರನ್ನು, ಅಂದರೆ ಕಡಿಯುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಖಡ್ಗವನ್ನು, ಸೀಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನಾಯಿಗಳನ್ನು, ನುಂಗಿ ಹಾಳುಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಆಕಾಶದ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮತ್ತು ಭೂಜಂತುಗಳನ್ನೂ ನೇಮಿಸುವೆನು” ಎಂಬುದು ಯೆಹೋವನಾದ ನನ್ನ ಮಾತು.
I will appoint over them four kinds of destroyers, declares the LORD: the sword to kill, the dogs to drag away, and the birds of the air and beasts of the earth to devour and destroy.
4 ೪ “ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನ ಮಗನೂ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನೂ ಆದ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರತಿಯಾಗಿ, ನಾನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಲೋಕದ ಸಮಸ್ತ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಭಯಾಸ್ಪದವಾಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವೆನು.
I will make them a horror to all the kingdoms of the earth because of what Manasseh son of Hezekiah king of Judah did in Jerusalem.
5 ೫ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮೇ, ಯಾರು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರುಣಿಸುವರು? ನಿನಗಾಗಿ ಯಾರು ಪ್ರಲಾಪಿಸುವರು? ನಿನ್ನ ಕ್ಷೇಮವನ್ನು ವಿಚಾರಿಸಲು ಯಾರು ನಿನ್ನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗುವರು?
Who will have pity on you, O Jerusalem? Who will mourn for you? Who will turn aside to ask about your welfare?
6 ೬ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಈ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳು, ‘ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲಗಳೆದು ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿದ್ದಿ. ಆದಕಾರಣ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೈಯೆತ್ತಿ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡುವೆನು; ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕ್ಷಮಿಸಿ ಕ್ಷಮಿಸಿ ಸಾಕಾಯಿತು.
You have forsaken Me, declares the LORD. You have turned your back. So I will stretch out My hand against you and I will destroy you; I am weary of showing compassion.
7 ೭ ನನ್ನ ಜನರನ್ನು ದೇಶದ ಬಾಗಿಲುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕವೆಗೋಲಿನಿಂದ ಹಾರಿಸಿ ತೂರುವೆನು. ಅವರನ್ನು ಪುತ್ರಶೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ಈಡುಮಾಡಿ ನಾಶಪಡಿಸುವೆನು; ಅವರು ಹೋದ ದಾರಿಯಿಂದ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗರು.
I will scatter them with a winnowing fork at the gates of the land. I will bereave and destroy My people who have not turned from their ways.
8 ೮ ಅವರ ವಿಧವೆಯರು ನನ್ನ ಭಾಗಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮುದ್ರದ ಉಸುಬಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿರುವರು. ಯುವಕರ ಮತ್ತು ತಾಯಂದಿರ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೊಳ್ಳೆ ಹೊಡೆಯುವವನನ್ನು ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನದಲ್ಲೇ ಬರಮಾಡುವೆನು. ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಳವಳವನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ದಿಗಿಲನ್ನು ತಟ್ಟನೆ ಬೀಳಿಸುವೆನು.
I will make their widows more numerous than the sand of the sea. I will bring a destroyer at noon against the mothers of young men. I will suddenly bring upon them anguish and dismay.
9 ೯ ಏಳು ಮಂದಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಹೆತ್ತ ಭಾಗ್ಯವಂತಳೂ ಬಳಲಿ ಪ್ರಾಣಬಿಟ್ಟಂತಿದ್ದಾಳೆ, ಹಗಲಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಆಕೆಯ ಪಾಲಿಗೆ ಸೂರ್ಯನು ಮುಳುಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ, ಆಶಾಭಂಗಪಟ್ಟು ಅವಮಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಈಡಾಗಿದ್ದಾಳೆ. ಆಕೆಯ ಉಳಿದ ಸಂತಾನವನ್ನು ಶತ್ರುಗಳ ಕಣ್ಣೆದುರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಖಡ್ಗಕ್ಕೆ ಗುರಿಮಾಡುವೆನು’” ಇದು ಯೆಹೋವನ ನುಡಿ.
The mother of seven will grow faint; she will breathe her last breath. Her sun will set while it is still day; she will be disgraced and humiliated. And the rest I will put to the sword in the presence of their enemies,”
10 ೧೦ ನನ್ನ ತಾಯೀ, ನನ್ನ ಗತಿಯನ್ನು ಏನು ಹೇಳಲಿ! ನಿನ್ನ ಗರ್ಭದಿಂದ ಬಂದ ನಾನು ಲೋಕದವರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೆ ಜಗಳಗಂಟಿಗನೂ, ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯಗಾರನೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದೇನಲ್ಲಾ. ನಾನು ಹಣವನ್ನು ಬಡ್ಡಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟವನಲ್ಲ, ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡವನಲ್ಲ, ಆದರೂ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ನಿಂದಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
Woe to me, my mother, that you have borne me, a man of strife and conflict in all the land. I have neither lent nor borrowed, yet everyone curses me.
11 ೧೧ ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೆಹೋವನು, “ನಿನಗೆ ಮೇಲಾಗುವಂತೆ ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಮಾಡುವೆನು. ನಿಜನಿಜವಾಗಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಕೇಡಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಶತ್ರುವನ್ನು ನಿನಗೆ ಶರಣಾಗತನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವೆನು.
The LORD said: “Surely I will deliver you for a good purpose; surely I will intercede with your enemy in your time of trouble, in your time of distress.
12 ೧೨ ಕಬ್ಬಿಣವನ್ನು, ಬಡಗಣ ಕಬ್ಬಿಣವನ್ನು ಯಾರು ಮುರಿದಾರು? ತಾಮ್ರವನ್ನು ಮುರಿಯುವುದು ಯಾರಿಂದಾದೀತು?” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
Can anyone smash iron— iron from the north—or bronze?
13 ೧೩ “ನಿನ್ನ ಸಕಲ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನೀನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪಾಪಗಳ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸೊತ್ತು ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಪತ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ಲಾಭವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಸೂರೆಗೆ ಈಡುಮಾಡಿ,
Your wealth and your treasures I will give up as plunder, without charge for all your sins within all your borders.
14 ೧೪ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಶತ್ರುಗಳ ಕೈಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟು, ನೀನು ನೋಡದ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಗಿಸಿಬಿಡುವೆನು. ನನ್ನ ರೋಷದಿಂದ ಉರಿಯು ಹತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ, ಅದು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸುಟ್ಟುಬಿಡುವುದು.”
Then I will enslave you to your enemies in a land you do not know, for My anger will kindle a fire that will burn against you.”
15 ೧೫ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನು, “ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ನೀನೇ ಬಲ್ಲೆ, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಜ್ಞಾಪಕಕ್ಕೆ ತಂದು ಕಟಾಕ್ಷಿಸು; ನನಗಾಗಿ ನನ್ನ ಹಿಂಸಕರಿಗೆ ಮುಯ್ಯಿತೀರಿಸು. ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ತಾಳ್ಮೆಯನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಬೇಡ, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮೂಲ ಮಾಡಬೇಡ. ನಿನ್ನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವೇ ನಾನು ನಿಂದೆಗೆ ಗುರಿಯಾದೆನೆಂದು ಜ್ಞಾಪಕಕ್ಕೆ ತಂದುಕೋ.
You understand, O LORD; remember me and attend to me. Avenge me against my persecutors. In Your patience, do not take me away. Know that I endure reproach for Your honor.
16 ೧೬ ನನಗೆ ದೊರೆತ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಆಹಾರಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡೆನು, ನಿನ್ನ ನುಡಿಗಳು ನನಗೆ ಹರ್ಷವೂ, ಹೃದಯಾನಂದವೂ ಆದವು. ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರನಾದ ದೇವರೇ, ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿನವನಲ್ಲವೇ!
Your words were found, and I ate them. Your words became my joy and my heart’s delight. For I bear Your name, O LORD God of Hosts.
17 ೧೭ ನಾನು ವಿನೋದಗಾರರ ಕೂಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಉಲ್ಲಾಸಪಡಲೂ ಇಲ್ಲ. ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೈಯಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಒಂಟಿಗನಾಗಿ ಕುಳಿತೆನು; ನನ್ನನ್ನು ರೋಷದಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿಸಿದ್ದಿಯಷ್ಟೆ.
I never sat with the band of revelers, nor did I celebrate with them. Because Your hand was on me, I sat alone, for You have filled me with indignation.
18 ೧೮ ಏಕೆ ನನ್ನ ವ್ಯಥೆಯು ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿದೆ? ನನ್ನ ಗಾಯವು ಗಡುಸಾಗಿ ಗುಣಹೊಂದದೆ ಇರುವುದು ಏಕೆ? ನೀನು ನನಗೆ ನೀರು ಬತ್ತುವ ಕಳ್ಳತೊರೆಯಂತಿರಬೇಕೋ?” ಎಂದು ಅರಿಕೆಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡೆನು.
Why is my pain unending, and my wound incurable, refusing to be healed? You have indeed become like a mirage to me— water that is not there.
19 ೧೯ ಇದರಿಂದ ಯೆಹೋವನು, “ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಲ್ಲುವಂತೆ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ತಿರುಗಿ ಸೇರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವೆನು. ನೀನು ತುಚ್ಛವಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ನಿರಾಕರಿಸಿ, ಅಮೂಲ್ಯವಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಾಶಪಡಿಸಿದರೆ ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಬಾಯಂತಿರುವಿ. ಜನರು ನಿನ್ನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು, ನೀನು ಅವರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗದಿರುವಿ.
Therefore this is what the LORD says: “If you return, I will restore you; you will stand in My presence. And if you speak words that are noble instead of worthless, you will be My spokesman. It is they who must turn to you, but you must not turn to them.
20 ೨೦ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಈ ಜನರಿಗೆ ದುರ್ಗಮವಾದ ತಾಮ್ರದ ಪೌಳಿಗೋಡೆಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವೆನು. ಅವರು ನಿನ್ನ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡುವರು. ಆದರೆ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಸೋಲಿಸಲಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಉದ್ಧರಿಸಿ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಲು ನಾನೇ ನಿನ್ನೊಂದಿಗಿರುವೆನು. ಇದು ಯೆಹೋವನಾದ ನನ್ನ ಮಾತು.
Then I will make you a wall to this people, a fortified wall of bronze; they will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you to save and deliver you, declares the LORD.
I will deliver you from the hand of the wicked and redeem you from the grasp of the ruthless.”
