ಯೆಶಾಯನು 1
1 ೧ ಯೆಹೂದ ದೇಶದ ಅರಸರಾದ ಉಜ್ಜೀಯ, ಯೋಥಾಮ, ಆಹಾಜ, ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯ ಇವರ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೂದ ಮತ್ತು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಆಮೋಚನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೆಶಾಯನಿಗೆ ಆದ ದೈವದರ್ಶನ.
The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, [and] Hezekiah, kings of Judah.
2 ೨ ಆಕಾಶಮಂಡಲವೇ, ಆಲಿಸು! ಭೂಮಂಡಲವೇ ಕೇಳು! ಯೆಹೋವನು ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ನಾನು ಸಾಕಿ ಸಲಹಿದ ಮಕ್ಕಳೇ ನನಗೆ ದ್ರೋಹ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the LORD hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me.
3 ೩ ಎತ್ತು ಯಜಮಾನನನ್ನು, ಕತ್ತೆ ಒಡೆಯನ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದಿರುವುದು. ಆದರೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಜನರಿಗೋ ತಿಳಿವಳಿಕೆ ಇಲ್ಲ. ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಜೆಯು ಆಲೋಚಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master's crib: [but] Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider.
4 ೪ ಪಾಪಿಷ್ಠ ಜನಾಂಗವೇ, ಅಧರ್ಮದ ಭಾರವನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತಿರುವ ಪ್ರಜೆಯೇ, ದುಷ್ಟಜಾತಿಯೇ, ದ್ರೋಹಿಗಳಾದ ಮಕ್ಕಳೇ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಗತಿಯನ್ನು ಏನು ಹೇಳಲಿ! ಅವರು ಯೆಹೋವನನ್ನು ತೊರೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಸದಮಲಸ್ವಾಮಿಯನ್ನು ಧಿಕ್ಕರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆತನಿಗೆ ಬೆನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ ಬೇರೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evil-doers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel to anger, they are gone away backward.
Why should ye be stricken any more? ye will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.
6 ೬ ಅಂಗಾಲಿನಿಂದ ನಡುನೆತ್ತಿಯ ತನಕ ಪೆಟ್ಟು, ಬಾಸುಂಡೆ, ವಾಸಿಯಾಗದ ಗಾಯಗಳೇ ಹೊರತು ಏನೂ ಸೌಖ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ತೊಳೆಯಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಕಟ್ಟಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಎಣ್ಣೆ ಸವರಿ ಮೃದು ಮಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.
From the sole of the foot even to the head [there is] no soundness in [it]; [but] wounds, and bruises, and putrifying sores: they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment.
7 ೭ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇಶವು ಹಾಳಾಗಿದೆ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು ಸುಟ್ಟುಹೋಗಿವೆ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಅನ್ಯರು ನಿಮ್ಮೆದುರಿಗೆ ನುಂಗಿಬಿಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅದು ಅನ್ಯಜನರಿಂದ ಹಾಳಾಯಿತು.
Your country [is] desolate, your cities [are] burned with fire: your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and [it is] desolate, as overthrown by strangers.
8 ೮ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ನಗರವೊಂದೇ ಉಳಿದು, ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿತೋಟದ ಮನೆಯಂತೆಯೂ, ಸೌತೆಕಾಯಿಯ ಹೊಲದ ಗುಡಿಸಿಲಿನ ಹಾಗೂ ಮುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಹಾಕಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಇದೆ.
And the daughter of Zion is left as a cottage in a vineyard, as a lodge in a garden of cucumbers, as a besieged city.
9 ೯ ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ನಮಗೆ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಜನರನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸದೇ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದರೆ, ಸೊದೋಮಿನ ಗತಿಯೇ ನಮಗಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಗೊಮೋರದ ದುರ್ದಶೆಯೇ ಸಂಭವಿಸುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.
Except the LORD of hosts had left to us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom; we should have been like Gomorrah.
Hear the word of the LORD, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear to the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah.
11 ೧೧ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಹೀಗೆನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ, “ಲೆಕ್ಕವಿಲ್ಲದ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಯಜ್ಞಗಳು ನನಗೇಕೆ? ಟಗರುಗಳ ಸರ್ವಾಂಗ ಹೋಮ, ಪುಷ್ಟಪಶುಗಳ ಕೊಬ್ಬು, ಇದೆಲ್ಲಾ ನನಗೆ ಸಾಕಾಯಿತು. ಹೋರಿ, ಕುರಿಗಳ, ರಕ್ತಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನು ಒಲಿಯೆನು.
To what purpose [is] the multitude of your sacrifices to me? saith the LORD: I am full of the burnt-offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he-goats.
12 ೧೨ ನನ್ನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ನೀವು ಬರುತ್ತೀರಲ್ಲಾ; ನನ್ನ ಆಲಯದ ಪ್ರಾಕಾರವನ್ನು ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಲು ಯಾರು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಂಡರು?
When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts?
13 ೧೩ ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾದ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಇನ್ನು ತರಬೇಡಿ; ಧೂಪವು ನನಗೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯ; ಅಮಾವಾಸ್ಯೆ, ಹುಣ್ಣಿಮೆಹಬ್ಬ, ಸಬ್ಬತ್ ದಿನ, ಕೂಟ ಪ್ರಕಟಣೆ ಇವು ಬೇಡ; ಅಧರ್ಮದಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿದ ಸಂಘವನ್ನು ನಾನು ಸಹಿಸಲಾರೆನು.
Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination to me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot endure; [it is] iniquity, even the solemn meeting.
14 ೧೪ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಅಮಾವಾಸ್ಯೆಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಹುಣ್ಣಿಮೆಹಬ್ಬ, ಉತ್ಸವ ದಿನಗಳನ್ನೂ ದ್ವೇಷಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಇವು ನನಗೆ ಭಾರ; ಸಹಿಸಲು ಬೇಸರ.
Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble to me; I am weary to bear [them].
15 ೧೫ ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಲು ಕೈಯೆತ್ತುವಾಗ, ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನೋಡದಂತೆ ನನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ಮರೆಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವೆನು. ಹೌದು, ನೀವು ಬಹಳ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದರೂ ನಾನು ಆಲಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೈಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ರಕ್ತವು ತುಂಬಿದೆ.
And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide my eyes from you: yes, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.
16 ೧೬ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತೊಳೆದು ಶುದ್ಧರಾಗಿ, ನನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣೆದುರಿನಿಂದ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದುಷ್ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ತೊಲಗಿಸಿರಿ, ದುರಾಚಾರವನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿ,
Wash ye, make yourselves clean; put away the evil of your doings from before my eyes; cease to do evil;
17 ೧೭ ಸದಾಚಾರವನ್ನು ಅಭ್ಯಾಸ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಕಲಿಯಿರಿ, ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಿ ನಡೆಯಿರಿ. ಹಿಂಸೆಗೆ ಒಳಗಾದವನಿಗೆ ಸಹಾಯಮಾಡಿರಿ. ಅನಾಥನಿಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿಸಿರಿ. ವಿಧವೆಯ ಪಕ್ಷವಾಗಿ ವಾದಿಸಿರಿ.”
Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.
18 ೧೮ “ಬನ್ನಿರಿ ವಾದಿಸುವ” ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವನು ಅನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ. “ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪಾಪಗಳು ಕಡುಕೆಂಪಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ, ಹಿಮದ ಹಾಗೆ ಬಿಳುಪಾಗುವವು. ಕಿರಮಂಜಿ ಬಣ್ಣವಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ಉಣ್ಣೆಯಂತೆ ಬೆಳ್ಳಗಾಗುವವು.
Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins are as scarlet, they shall be white as snow, though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
If ye are willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken [it].
21 ೨೧ ಅಯ್ಯೋ, ನಂಬಿಕೆಯುಳ್ಳ ನಗರಿಯು ಸೂಳೆಯಾದಳಲ್ಲಾ! ನ್ಯಾಯದಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿ ಧರ್ಮಕ್ಕೆ ನೆಲೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ನಗರ ಈಗ ಕೊಲೆಪಾತಕರಿಗೆ ನೆಲೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.
How is the faithful city become a harlot! it was full of judgment; righteousness lodged in it; but now murderers.
Thy silver is become dross, thy wine mixed with water:
23 ೨೩ ನಿನ್ನ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ದ್ರೋಹಿಗಳೂ, ಕಳ್ಳರ ಗೆಳೆಯರೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನೂ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿ, ಲಂಚಗಳನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವನು; ಅನಾಥರಿಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ವಿಧವೆಯರ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವು ಅವರ ಮನಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಬಾರದು.
Thy princes [are] rebellious, and companions of thieves: every one loveth gifts, and followeth after rewards: they judge not the fatherless, neither doth the cause of the widow come to them.
24 ೨೪ ಆದುದರಿಂದ ಕರ್ತನೂ, ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರನೂ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಶೂರನೂ ಆಗಿರುವ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಹೀಗೆ ನುಡಿಯುತ್ತಾನೆ, “ಆಹಾ, ನನ್ನ ವಿರೋಧಿಗಳನ್ನು ಅಡಗಿಸಿ ಶಾಂತನಾಗುವೆನು; ನನ್ನ ಶತ್ರುಗಳಿಗೆ ಮುಯ್ಯಿ ತೀರಿಸುವೆನು.
Therefore saith the LORD, the LORD of hosts, the mighty One of Israel, Ah, I will ease me of my adversaries, and avenge me of my enemies:
25 ೨೫ ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೈಮಾಡಿ, ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಪುಟಕ್ಕೆ ಹಾಕಿ, ನಿನ್ನ ಹೊಲಸುತನವನ್ನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ನಿವಾರಿಸಿ, ನಿನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಲ್ಮಷವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಬಿಡುವೆನು.
And I will turn my hand upon thee, and thoroughly purge away thy dross, and take away all thy tin:
26 ೨೬ ಪೂರ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನಗಿದ್ದ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳನ್ನು, ಮಂತ್ರಾಲೋಚಕರನ್ನು ಪುನಃ ಒದಗಿಸಿಕೊಡುವೆನು. ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ನೀನು ಸದಾಚಾರದ ನಗರಿ ಎಂತಲೂ, ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ನಿಷ್ಠೆಯುಳ್ಳ ನಗರಿ ಎಂತಲೂ ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಡುವಿ.”
And I will restore thy judges as at the first, and thy counselors as at the beginning: afterward thou shalt be called, The city of righteousness, the faithful city.
Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness.
And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners [shall be] together, and they that forsake the LORD shall be consumed.
For they shall be ashamed of the oaks which ye have desired, and ye shall be confounded for the gardens that ye have chosen.
For ye shall be as an oak whose leaf fadeth, and as a garden that hath no water.
31 ೩೧ ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿನ ಬಲಿಷ್ಠನೇ ಸೆಣಬಿನ ನಾರು, ಅವನ ಕಾರ್ಯವೇ ಕಿಡಿ, ಎರಡೂ ಸೇರಿ ಯಾರೂ ಆರಿಸಲಾಗದಂತೆ ಅವು ಸುಟ್ಟುಹೋಗುವವು.”
And the strong shall be as tow, and the maker of it as a spark, and they shall both burn together, and none shall quench [them].
