ಆದಿಕಾಂಡ 47
1 ೧ ಆಗ ಯೋಸೇಫನು ಫರೋಹನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ, “ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯೂ, ಅಣ್ಣತಮ್ಮಂದಿರೂ, ಕುರಿದನಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಸಮಸ್ತ ಆಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಕಾನಾನ್‌ ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಬಂದು ಗೋಷೆನ್ ಸೀಮೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ” ಎಂದನು.
Therfor Joseph entride, and telde to Farao, and seide, My fadir and brethren, the scheep and grete beestis of hem, and alle thingis whiche thei welden, camen fro the lond of Canaan; and lo! thei stonden in the lond of Gessen.
And he ordeynede fyue, the laste men of hise britheren, bifore the kyng,
3 ೩ ಫರೋಹನು ಯೋಸೇಫನ ಅಣ್ಣತಮ್ಮಂದಿರಿಗೆ, “ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕಸುಬು ಏನು?” ಎಂದು ಅವರನ್ನು ಕೇಳಲು ಅವರು, “ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರಾದ ನಾವು ನಮ್ಮ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರ ಹಾಗೆ ಕುರಿಕಾಯುವವರು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
whiche he axide, What werk han ye? Thei answeriden, We thi seruauntis ben kepers of scheep, bothe we and oure faderis;
4 ೪ ಅದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವರು ಫರೋಹನಿಗೆ, “ಕಾನಾನ್‌ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರಗಾಲವು ಘೋರವಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರ ಕುರಿದನಗಳಿಗೆ ಮೇವು ಸಿಕ್ಕಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಆದುದರಿಂದ ಈ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪಕಾಲ ಇರಬೇಕೆಂದು ಬಂದಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ನಾವು ಗೋಷೆನ್ ಸೀಮೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡುವಂತೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಯಾಗಬೇಕು” ಎಂದು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.
we camen in to thi lond to be pilgrymys, for noo gras is to the flockis of thi seruauntis; hungur wexith greuouse in the lond of Canaan, and we axen that thou comaunde vs thi seruauntis to be in the lond of Gessen.
And so the kyng seide to Joseph, Thi fadir and thi britheren camen to thee;
6 ೬ ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶವು ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಇದೆ, ಅದರೊಳಗೆ ಉತ್ತಮ ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆ, ನಿನ್ನ ಅಣ್ಣತಮ್ಮಂದಿರು ವಾಸಮಾಡುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡು. ಅವರು ಗೋಷೆನ್ ಸೀಮೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡಲಿ; ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರಾದರೂ ಸಮರ್ಥರೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದರೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಕುರಿದನ ಮಂದೆಗಳ ಮೇಲ್ವಿಚಾರಣೆಗಾಗಿ ನೇಮಿಸು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
the lond of Egipt is in thi siyt, make thou hem to dwelle in the beste place, and yyue thou to hem the lond of Gessen; that if thou woost that witti men ben in hem, ordeyne thou hem maystris of my beestis.
7 ೭ ಯೋಸೇಫನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಯಾಕೋಬನನ್ನು ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಫರೋಹನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಲು, ಯಾಕೋಬನು ಫರೋಹನನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿದನು.
After these thingis Joseph brouyte in his fader to the king, and settide him bifor the king, which blesside the king;
and he was axid of the king, Hou many ben the daies of the yeeris of thi lijf?
9 ೯ ಯಾಕೋಬನು ಫರೋಹನಿಗೆ, “ನನ್ನ ಇಹಲೋಕ ಪ್ರಯಾಣದ ಕಾಲವು ನೂರಮೂವತ್ತು ವರ್ಷಗಳು. ನಾನು ಜೀವಿಸಿರುವ ಕಾಲವು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪವಾಗಿಯೂ ಹಾಗೂ ದುಃಖಕರವಾಗಿಯೂ ಇತ್ತು; ಆದರೂ ನನ್ನ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರು ಜೀವಿಸಿದಷ್ಟು ವರ್ಷಗಳು ನನಗಾಗಿಲ್ಲ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
And he answeride, The daies of pilgrymage of my lijf, ben feewe and yuele, of an hundrid and thretti yeer, and tho `camen not til to the daies of my fadris, in whiche thei weren pilgryms.
And whanne he hadde blessid the kyng, he yede out.
11 ೧೧ ಫರೋಹನ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಯ ಮೇರೆಗೆ ಯೋಸೇಫನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗೂ ಅಣ್ಣತಮ್ಮಂದಿರಿಗೂ ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡಲು ಉತ್ತಮವಾಗಿದ್ದ ರಮ್ಸೇಸ್ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವತ್ತು ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
Forsothe Joseph yaf to hise fadir and britheren possessioun in Egipt, in Ramasses, the beste soile of erthe, as Farao comaundide;
12 ೧೨ ಯೋಸೇಫನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗೂ, ಅಣ್ಣತಮ್ಮಂದಿರಿಗೂ, ತಂದೆಯ ಮನೆಯವರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಅವರವರ ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದವರ ಲೆಕ್ಕದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಅವರನ್ನು ಸಂರಕ್ಷಿಸಿದನು.
and he fedde hem, and al the hows of his fadir, and yaf metis to alle.
13 ೧೩ ಬರವು ಬಹು ಘೋರವಾಗಿದ್ದುದರಿಂದ ದೇಶದ ಯಾವ ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಆಹಾರ ಸಿಕ್ಕುತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆ ಬರದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶವು ಹಾಗೂ ಕಾನಾನ್‌ ದೇಶವು ಕ್ಷಾಮದಿಂದ ಬರಡಾದವು.
For breed failide in al the world, and hungur oppresside the lond, moost of Egipt and of Canaan;
14 ೧೪ ಯೋಸೇಫನು ಜನರಿಗೆ ಧಾನ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮಾರುತ್ತಾ ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಕಾನಾನ್‌ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಹಣವನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಫರೋಹನ ಬೊಕ್ಕಸದೊಳಗೆ ತುಂಬಿದನು.
of whiche londis he gaderide al the money for the sillyng of wheete, and brouyte it in to the `tresorie of the kyng.
15 ೧೫ ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಕಾನಾನ್‌ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇದ್ದ ಹಣವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮುಗಿದುಹೋದ ನಂತರ ಐಗುಪ್ತರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಯೋಸೇಫನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು, “ನಮ್ಮ ಹಣವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮುಗಿದುಹೋಯಿತು; ನೀನು ನಮಗೆ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ಕೊಡಬೇಕು; ನಾವು ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಸತ್ತರೆ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನವೇನು?” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
And whanne prijs failide to the bieris, al Egipt cam to Joseph, and seide, Yyue thou `looues to vs; whi shulen we die bifore thee, while monei failith?
16 ೧೬ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೋಸೇಫನು, “ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕುರಿದನಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬನ್ನಿರಿ; ಹಣವಿಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ ಕುರಿದನಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು, ಧಾನ್ಯವನ್ನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆ” ಎಂದನು.
To whiche he answeride, Brynge ye youre beestis, and Y schal yyue to you metis for tho, if ye han not prijs.
17 ೧೭ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಕುರಿದನಗಳನ್ನು ಯೋಸೇಫನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬರಲು, ಅವನು ಅವರ ಕುದುರೆಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಕುರಿದನಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಕತ್ತೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಧಾನ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟನು. ಆ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಕುರಿದನಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಧಾನ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಅವರನ್ನು ಸಂರಕ್ಷಿಸಿದನು.
And whanne thei hadden brouyt tho, he yaf to hem metis for horsis, and scheep, and oxun, and assis; and he susteynede hem in that yeer for the chaungyng of beestis.
18 ೧೮ ಆ ವರ್ಷ ಕಳೆದ ನಂತರ ಅವರು ಎರಡನೆಯ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು, “ನಮ್ಮ ಹಣವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮುಗಿದು ಹೋಗಿದೆ; ನಮ್ಮ ಕುರಿದನಗಳು ಸ್ವಾಮಿಯ ವಶವಾದವು; ಹೀಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮ ಭೂಮಿಯೂ, ನಮ್ಮ ದೇಹಗಳೂ ಹೊರತು ಬೇರೆ ಇನ್ನೇನೂ ಉಳಿದಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ನಮ್ಮ ಸ್ವಾಮಿಗೆ ಮರೆಮಾಡದೆ ತಿಳಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ” ಎಂದರು.
And thei camen in the secunde yeer, and seiden to hym, We helen not fro oure lord, that the while monei failith, also beestis failiden togidere, nether it is hid fro thee, that with out bodies and lond we han no thing;
19 ೧೯ “ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣೆದುರಿಗೆ ನಾವು ಏಕೆ ಸಾಯಬೇಕು; ನಮ್ಮ ಭೂಮಿಯು ಏಕೆ ಹಾಳಾಗಬೇಕು; ನಮ್ಮನ್ನೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಧಾನ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೊಡು; ನಾವು ನಮ್ಮ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಫರೋಹನಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟುಬಿಟ್ಟು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಗುಲಾಮರಾಗುವೆವು. ನಾವು ಸಾಯದೆ ಬದುಕಬೇಕಾದರೆ ಮತ್ತು ಭೂಮಿಯು ಹಾಳಾಗದ ಹಾಗೆ ನೀನು ನಮಗೆ ಬಿತ್ತನೆ ಬೀಜವನ್ನು ಕೊಡಬೇಕು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
whi therfor schulen we die, while thou seest? bothe we and oure lond schulen be thine, bie thou vs in to the kyngis seruage, and yyue thou seedis, lest the while the tiliere perischith, the lond be turned in to wildirnesse.
20 ೨೦ ಹೀಗೆ ಯೋಸೇಫನು ಐಗುಪ್ತರಿಂದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸಾಗುವಳಿಯ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಫರೋಹನಿಗಾಗಿ ಕೊಂಡುಕೊಂಡನು. ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ಐಗುಪ್ತನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಹೊಲಗದ್ದೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾರಿಬಿಟ್ಟನು. ಬರವು ಐಗುಪ್ತದಲ್ಲಿ ಘೋರವಾಗಿದ್ದದರಿಂದ ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರ ಭೂಮಿಯು ಫರೋಹನ ವಶವಾಯಿತು.
Therfor Joseph bouyte al the lond of Egipt, while all men seelden her possessiouns, for the greetnesse of hungur;
and he made it and alle puplis therof suget to Farao, fro the laste termes of Egipt til to the laste endis therof,
22 ೨೨ ಪುರೋಹಿತರ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ಅವನು ಕೊಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಪುರೋಹಿತರು ಫರೋಹನ ಕಡೆಯಿಂದ ಭತ್ಯೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಫರೋಹನು ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಭತ್ಯೆದಿಂದಲೇ ಜೀವನ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು; ಆದುದರಿಂದ ತಮ್ಮ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಮಾರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
outakun the lond of preestis, that was youun of the kyng to hem, to whiche preestis also metis weren youun of the comun bernys, and therfor thei weren not compellid to sille her possessiouns.
23 ೨೩ ಯೋಸೇಫನು ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳಿಗೆ, “ನಾನು ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನೂ ಫರೋಹನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಕೊಂಡುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ. ಇಗೋ, ಬಿತ್ತನೆಗಾಗಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ಬೀಜವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಬಿತ್ತಿರಿ.
Therfor Joseph seide to the puplis, Lo! as ye seen, Farao weldith bothe you and youre lond; take ye seedis, and `sowe ye feeldis,
24 ೨೪ ಪೈರು ಕೊಯ್ಯುವ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಐದರಲ್ಲೊಂದು ಪಾಲು ಫರೋಹನಿಗೆ ಸಲ್ಲಬೇಕು; ಮಿಕ್ಕ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಪಾಲು ನಿಮ್ಮದು; ಅದು ಬೀಜಕ್ಕೆ ಆಗುತ್ತದೆ ಮತ್ತು ನಿಮಗೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮನೆಯವರಿಗೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕುಟುಂಬಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿದವರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಆಹಾರಕ್ಕಾಗುತ್ತದೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
that ye moun haue fruytis; ye schulen yyue the fifthe part to the kyng; Y suffre to you the foure residue partis in to seed and in to meetis, to you, and to youre fre children.
25 ೨೫ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರು, “ನಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಾಣಗಳನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿದ್ದೀ; ನಮ್ಮ ಸ್ವಾಮಿಯ ದಯೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲಿರಲಿ; ನಾವು ಫರೋಹನಿಗೆ ಗುಲಾಮರಾಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ” ಎಂದರು.
Whiche answeriden, Oure helthe is in thin hond; oneli oure God biholde vs, and we schulen ioifuli serue the kyng.
26 ೨೬ ಬೆಳೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಐದನೆಯ ಒಂದು ಪಾಲು ಫರೋಹನಿಗೆ ಸಲ್ಲಬೇಕೆಂಬುದನ್ನು ಯೋಸೇಫನು ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಟ್ಟಳೆಯಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಈ ದಿನದ ವರೆಗೂ ಅದು ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಇದೆ. ಪುರೋಹಿತರ ಭೂಮಿ ಮಾತ್ರ ಫರೋಹನಿಗೆ ಸ್ವಾಧೀನವಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ.
For that tyme til in to present dai, in al the lond of Egipt, the fyuethe part is paied to the kyngis, and it is maad as in to a lawe, with out the lond of preestis, that was fre fro this condicioun.
27 ೨೭ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿರುವ ಗೋಷೆನ್ ಸೀಮೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡಿದರು. ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಆಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಸಂಪಾದಿಸಿ ಬಹುಸಂತಾನವಾಗಿ ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿದರು.
Therfor Israel dwellide in Egipt, that is, in the lond of Jessen, and weldide it; and he was encreessid and multiplied ful mych.
And he lyuede therynne sixtene yeer; and alle the daies of his lijf weren maad of an hundrid and seuene and fourti yeer.
29 ೨೯ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನಿಗೆ ಮರಣಕಾಲ ಸಮೀಪಿಸಿದಾಗ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೋಸೇಫನನ್ನು ಕರೆಯಿಸಿ, “ಈಗ ನಿನ್ನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ದಯೆ ಹೊಂದ್ದಿದೆಯಾದ್ದರೆ ಪದ್ದತಿಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಯನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ತೊಡೆಯ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಇಟ್ಟು ನನಗೆ ಉಪಕಾರವನ್ನು ನಂಬಿಗಸ್ತಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ತೋರಿಸು. ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮಾಧಿ ಮಾಡಬೇಡ.
And whanne he seiy the dai of deeth nyye, he clepide his sone Joseph, and seide to hym, If Y haue founde grace in thi siyt; putte thin hond vndur myn hipe, and thou schal do merci and treuthe to me, that thou birie not me in Egipt;
30 ೩೦ ನಾನು ಮರಣ ಹೊಂದಿ ನನ್ನ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದಾಗ ನನ್ನ ಮೃತ ದೇಹವನ್ನು ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶದಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ ಆ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರ ಸ್ಮಶಾನ ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಸಮಾಧಿ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು. ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆಂಬುದಾಗಿ ನನಗೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲು, ಅವನು, “ನೀನು ಹೇಳಿದಂತೆಯೇ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ” ಎಂದನು.
but `Y schal slepe with my fadris, and take thou awey me fro this lond, and birie in the sepulcre of my grettere. To whom Joseph answeride, Y schal do that that thou comaundist.
31 ೩೧ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನು, “ಪ್ರಮಾಣಮಾಡು” ಎನ್ನಲು ಅವನು ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಆಗ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನು ತನ್ನ ಊರುಕೋಲಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಾಗಿ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ನಮಸ್ಕಾರ ಮಾಡಿದನು.
And Israel seide, Therfor swere thou to me; and whanne Joseph swoor, Israel turnede to the heed of the bed, and worschipide God.
