ಯೆಹೆಜ್ಕೇಲನು 3
1 ೧ ಆತನು ನನಗೆ, “ನರಪುತ್ರನೇ, ನಿನಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದ ಈ ಸುರುಳಿಯನ್ನು ತಿನ್ನು; ಅನಂತರ ನೀನು ಹೋಗಿ (ಇದರಲ್ಲಿನ ಸಂಗತಿಗಳನ್ನು) ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ವಂಶದವರಿಗೆ ಸಾರು” ಎಂದು ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
And he said unto me, Son of man, eat what thou findest: eat this roll, and go, speak unto the house of Israel.
So I opened my mouth, and he caused me to eat this roll.
3 ೩ ಆಗ ಆತನು ನನಗೆ, “ನರಪುತ್ರನೇ, ನಾನು ಕೊಡುವ ಈ ಸುರುಳಿಯನ್ನು ತಿಂದು ಹೊಟ್ಟೆ ತುಂಬಿಸಿಕೋ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲು ಅದನ್ನು ತಿಂದುಬಿಟ್ಟೆನು; ಅದು ನನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜೇನಿನಂತೆ ಸಿಹಿಯಾಗಿತ್ತು.
And he said unto me, Son of man, feed thy belly, and fill thy bowels with this roll that I am giving unto thee. And I ate it; and it was in my mouth like honey in sweetness.
4 ೪ ಆಮೇಲೆ ಆತನು ನನಗೆ ಹೀಗೆಂದನು, “ನರಪುತ್ರನೇ, ನೀನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ವಂಶದವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ನಾನು ತಿಳಿಸುವ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳು.
And he said unto me, Son of man, go, get thee unto the house of Israel, and speak with my words unto them.
5 ೫ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ವಂಶದವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆಯೇ ಹೊರತು ಕಷ್ಟಕರವಾದ ಅನ್ಯಭಾಷೆಯ ಜನರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
For not to a people of an obscure speech and of a difficult tongue art thou sent, but to the house of Israel;
6 ೬ ಹೌದು, ನಿನಗೆ ಅರ್ಥವಾಗದ ಕಷ್ಟಕರವಾದ ಅನ್ಯಭಾಷೆಯನ್ನಾಡುವ ನಾನಾ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳ ಬಳಿಗೆ ನಿನ್ನನು ಕಳುಹಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಇಂಥವರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ ಪಕ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರಾದರೂ ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾತಿಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
Not to many people of an obscure speech and of a difficult tongue, whose words thou canst not understand. Surely, had I sent thee to them, they would truly have hearkened unto thee.
7 ೭ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ವಂಶದವರೋ ನಿನಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡಲು ಸಿದ್ಧರಿಲ್ಲ; ನನಗೂ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡಲು ಸಿದ್ಧರಿಲ್ಲ; ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನಾಚಿಕೆಗೆಟ್ಟವರೂ, ಹಟಮಾರಿಗಳು ಆಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
But the house of Israel will not hearken unto thee; for they will not hearken unto me; for all the house of Israel have a bold forehead, and a hard heart.
8 ೮ ಇಗೋ, ನಾನು ಅವರ ಕಠಿಣ ಹೃದಯಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವನ್ನು ಕಠಿಣಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಅವರ ಹಣೆಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿಯಾಗಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಹಣೆಯನ್ನು ಗಟ್ಟಿಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
Behold, I have made thy face strong against their face, and thy forehead strong against their forehead.
9 ೯ ನಿನ್ನ ನಿರ್ಧಾರವನ್ನು ಕಗ್ಗಲ್ಲಿಗಿಂತ ಗಟ್ಟಿಯಾದ ವಜ್ರದಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಅವರು ತಿರುಗಿ ಬೀಳುವ ಮನೆತನದವರು, ಅವರಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡಬೇಡ; ಅವರ ಬಿರುನೋಟಕ್ಕೆ ಹೆದರದಿರು.”
As an adamant harder than flint have I made thy forehead: thou shalt not fear them, nor shalt thou be dismayed at their presence, though they be a rebellious family.
10 ೧೦ ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಆತನು ನನಗೆ ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದನು, “ನರಪುತ್ರನೇ, ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ಹೇಳುವ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕಿವಿಯಿಂದ ಕೇಳಿ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟುಕೋ.
And he said unto me, Son of man, all my words that I will speak unto thee receive in thy heart, and hear [them] with thy ears.
11 ೧೧ ಸೆರೆಯಾಗಿರುವ ನಿನ್ನ ಸ್ವಂತ ಜನರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅವರು ಕೇಳಿದರೂ, ಕೇಳದೆ ಹೋದರೂ ಅವರನ್ನು ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ, ‘ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಇಂತೆನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ’ ಎಂದು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸಾರು.”
And go, get thee to those in exile, unto the children of thy people, and speak unto them, and say unto them, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal: whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear.
12 ೧೨ ಆಮೇಲೆ ದೇವರಾತ್ಮವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಲಾಗಿ, “ಮಹಿಮೆಯುಳ್ಳ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಆತನ ವಾಸಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರವಾಗಲಿ” ಎಂಬ ಮಹಾಶಬ್ದವು ನನ್ನ ಹಿಂದೆ ಕೇಳಿಸಿತು.
Then a spirit took me up, and I heard behind me a voice of a great rushing, [saying, ] Blessed be the glory of the Lord from his place.
13 ೧೩ ಜೀವಿಗಳ ರೆಕ್ಕೆಗಳು ಒಂದಕ್ಕೊಂದು ಬಡಿಯುವ ಸಪ್ಪಳ, ಅವುಗಳ ಪಕ್ಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಗರಗರನೆ ತಿರುಗುವ ಚಕ್ರಗಳ ಸದ್ದು, ಹೀಗೆ ಭೂಕಂಪದಂಥ ಮಹಾಶಬ್ದವು ನನ್ನ ಕಿವಿಗೆ ಬಿತ್ತು.
[I heard] also the sound of the wings of the living creatures that touched one another, and the sound of the wheels at the same time with them, and the sound of a great rushing.
14 ೧೪ ದೇವರಾತ್ಮವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಯಿತು. ನಾನು ಚಿಂತೆಯಿಂದ ಮನಸ್ತಾಪಪಡುತ್ತಾ ಹೋದೆನು. ಆದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಕೈ ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಲವಾಗಿತ್ತು.
So a spirit lifted me up, and took me away, and I walked in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit, and the inspiration of the Lord was strong upon me.
15 ೧೫ ಆಗ ಸೆರೆಯಾಗಿ ಒಯ್ಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ಕೆಬಾರ್ ನದಿಯ ಹತ್ತಿರ ತೇಲ್ ಆಬೀಬಿನಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು, ಅವರು ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡೆನು; ಏಳು ದಿನಗಳವರೆಗೂ ಅಲ್ಲೇ ಅವರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ತಬ್ಧನಾಗಿ ಉಳಿದುಬಿಟ್ಟೆನು.
Then came I to the exiles at Tel-abib, who dwelt by the river Kebar, and I remained where they dwelt, and I remained there in a state of confusion among them seven days.
And it came to pass at the end of seven days, That the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
17 ೧೭ “ನರಪುತ್ರನೇ, ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ವಂಶದವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಾವಲುಗಾರನನ್ನಾಗಿ ನೇಮಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಹೀಗಿರಲು ನನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿಂದ ಹೊರಡುವ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ, ನನ್ನ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಎಚ್ಚರಿಸು.
Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: and thou shalt hear the word out of my mouth, and give them warning from me.
18 ೧೮ ನಾನು ದುಷ್ಟನಿಗೆ, ‘ನೀನು ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿ ಸಾಯುವೆ’ ಎಂದು ನುಡಿಯುವಾಗ ನೀನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಎಚ್ಚರಿಸದೆಯೂ, ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಕೆಟ್ಟಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೇಳದೆಯೂ ಇದ್ದರೆ ಆ ದುಷ್ಟನು ತನ್ನ ಅಪರಾಧದಿಂದ ಸಾಯಬೇಕಾಗುವುದು; ಅವನ ಮರಣಕ್ಕೆ ನೀನು ಹೊಣೆಯಾಗುವೆ.
When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou dost not give him warning, and speakest not to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life: the same wicked man shall die through his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thy hand.
19 ೧೯ ನೀನು ದುಷ್ಟನನ್ನು ಎಚ್ಚರಿಸಿದರೂ, ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ದುಷ್ಟತನವನ್ನೂ, ಕೆಟ್ಟಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನೂ ಬಿಡದೆಹೋದರೆ ತನ್ನ ಅಪರಾಧದಿಂದಲೇ ಸಾಯುವನು; ನೀನೋ ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವಿ.
But thou, —if thou hast warned the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way: he shall indeed die in his iniquity; but thou hast surely delivered thy soul.
20 ೨೦ ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನೀತಿವಂತನು ತನ್ನ ನೀತಿಯನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಅನ್ಯಾಯಮಾಡುವವನಾದರೆ, ಆಗ ನಾನು ಅವನ ಮುಂದೆ ಅಡಚಣೆಯನ್ನು ಒಡ್ಡುವೆನು, ಎಡವಿದರೆ ಅವನು ಸಾಯುವನು; ನೀನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಎಚ್ಚರಿಸದೆ ಹೋದಕಾರಣ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಪಾಪದಿಂದ ಸಾಯಬೇಕಾಯಿತು. ಅವನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಒಳ್ಳೆಕಾರ್ಯಗಳು ಲೆಕ್ಕಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಅವನ ಮರಣಕ್ಕೆ ನೀನು ಹೊಣೆಯಾಗುವೆ.
Again, When a righteous man do turn from his righteousness, and do what is wrong: then will I lay a stumbling-block before him, [so that] he shall die; yet if thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his acts of righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require from thy hand.
21 ೨೧ ನೀನು ನೀತಿವಂತನನ್ನು ಪಾಪ ಮಾಡದಂತೆ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಸಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವನು ಪಾಪಮಾಡದೆ ಎಚ್ಚರಗೊಂಡ ಕಾರಣ ಜೀವದಿಂದ ಉಳಿಯುವನು; ನೀನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವೆ.”
But if thou hast truly warned him, —the righteous, that the righteous should not sin, and he doth not sin: he shall surely live, because he attended to the warning, and thou hast surely delivered thy own soul.
22 ೨೨ ಅದೇ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಹಸ್ತಸ್ಪರ್ಶದಿಂದ ಪರವಶನಾಗಿರಲು ಆತನು ನನಗೆ, “ನೀನು ಎದ್ದು, ಬಯಲು ಸೀಮೆಗೆ ಹೊರಡು, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುವೆನು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
And the inspiration of the Lord came there over me; and he said unto me, Arise, go forth into the valley, and there will I speak with thee.
23 ೨೩ ನಾನು ಎದ್ದು ಬಯಲು ಸೀಮೆಗೆ ಹೊರಟುಹೋದೆನು. ಯೆಹೋವನ ಮಹಿಮೆಯು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತಿತ್ತು. ಅದು ಕೆಬಾರ್ ನದಿಯ ಹತ್ತಿರ ನಾನು ನೋಡಿದ ಮಹಿಮೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಅದನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಅಡ್ಡಬಿದ್ದೆನು.
And I arose, and went forth into the valley; and, behold, there was the glory of the Lord standing, like that glory which I had seen by the river Kebar: and I fell down on my face.
24 ೨೪ ದೇವರಾತ್ಮವು ನನ್ನೊಳಗೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿ, ನಾನು ಎದ್ದು ನಿಂತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಆತನು ನನಗೆ ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದನು, “ನೀನು ಹೋಗಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಮನೆಯೊಳಗೆ ಅಡಗಿಕೋ.
Then entered a spirit into me, and placed me upright on my feet, and spoke with me, and said unto me, Go, shut thyself up within thy house.
But thou, O son of man, behold, they put ropes upon thee, and bind thee with them, that thou canst not go out among them:
26 ೨೬ ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನಿನ್ನ ನಾಲಿಗೆಯು ಸೇದಿ ಹೋಗಿ ನೀನು ಮೂಕನಾಗಿರುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವೆನು; ನೀನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಖಂಡಿಸಲಾರೆ; ಅವರು ತಿರುಗಿ ಬೀಳುವ ಮನೆತನದವರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
And I will let thy tongue cleave to the roof of thy mouth, that thou shalt be dumb, and shalt not become to them a man who reproveth; for they are a rebellious family.
27 ೨೭ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನೊಡನೆ ಮತ್ತೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುವಾಗ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿಯನ್ನು ಬಿಚ್ಚುವೆನು; ಆಗ ನೀನು ಅವರಿಗೆ, ‘ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಇಂತೆನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಬೇಕು; ಕೇಳುವವನು ಕೇಳಲಿ, ಕೇಳದವನು ಕೇಳದೇ ಇರಲಿ; ಅವರು ತಿರುಗಿ ಬೀಳುವ ವಂಶದವರೇ.”
But when I speak with thee, I will open thy mouth, and thou shalt say unto them, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, He that heareth, let him hear; and he that forbeareth, let him forebear; for they are a rebellious family.
