39 ೩೯ ತಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಕೊಂದು, ತಮ್ಮ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳಿಗೆ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದ ದಿನದಲ್ಲೇ ನನ್ನ ಪವಿತ್ರಾಲಯವನ್ನು ಸೇರಿ ಅಪವಿತ್ರ ಮಾಡಿದರು; ಇಗೋ, ನನ್ನ ಮಂದಿರದ ಒಳಗೆ ಇದನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

42 ೪೨ “ಅಲ್ಲಿ ವಿನೋದ ಪ್ರಿಯರ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಗುಂಪಿನ ಶಬ್ದವು ಇತ್ತು. ಮರುಭೂಮಿಯಿಂದ ಕುಡುಕರನ್ನೂ ಕರೆಯಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಅವರು ನಾಡಿನ ಜನರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿ, ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಗೆ ಕಡಗವನ್ನು ತೊಡಿಸಿ, ತಲೆಗೆ ಸುಂದರ ಕಿರೀಟವನ್ನಿಟ್ಟರು.

43 ೪೩ ಆಗ ನಾನು, ‘ಆಹಾ, ಕಳೆಗುಂದಿದವಳಿಗೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ವ್ಯಭಿಚಾರವೇ! ಇವರು ಅವಳೊಂದಿಗೆ, ಅವಳು ಇವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ವ್ಯಭಿಚಾರ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರಲ್ಲಾ’ ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡೆನು.

44 ೪೪ ವ್ಯಭಿಚಾರಿಯನ್ನು ಸೇರುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಈ ಜನರು ಅವಳನ್ನು ಸೇರಿದರು; ಹೌದು, ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಹೆಂಗಸರಾದ ಒಹೊಲಳನ್ನೂ ಮತ್ತು ಒಹೊಲೀಬಳನ್ನೂ ಸೇರಿದರು.

45 ೪೫ ನೀತಿಯುಳ್ಳ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಅವರಿಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿಸಿ, ವ್ಯಭಿಚಾರಿಣಿಯರಿಗೂ, ರಕ್ತಸುರಿಸುವ ಹೆಂಗಸರಿಗೂ ತಕ್ಕ ದಂಡನೆಯನ್ನು ವಿಧಿಸುವರು; ಅವರು ವ್ಯಭಿಚಾರಿಣಿಯರು, ಅವರ ಕೈ ರಕ್ತಮಯವಾಗಿದೆ.”

47 ೪೭ ಸಭೆಯವರು ಇವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಲ್ಲೆಸೆದು, ಕತ್ತಿಗಳಿಂದ ಇವರನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸಿ, ಇವರ ಗಂಡು ಮತ್ತು ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಕೊಂದು, ಇವರ ಮನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆಂಕಿಯಿಂದ ಸುಟ್ಟುಬಿಡುವರು.

48 ೪೮ “ಹೀಗೆ ನಾನು ದೇಶದೊಳಗಿಂದ ದುಷ್ಕರ್ಮವನ್ನು ತೊಲಗಿಸುವೆನು; ಇದರಿಂದ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರಿಗೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದುಷ್ಕರ್ಮವನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಬಾರದೆಂದು ಬುದ್ಧಿ ಬರುವುದು.

49 ೪೯ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದುಷ್ಕರ್ಮದ ಫಲವನ್ನು ನಿಮಗೇ ತಿನ್ನಿಸುವರು; ನಿಮ್ಮ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳಿಂದಾದ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪಾಪವನ್ನು ನೀವು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವಿರಿ. ನಾನೇ ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು” ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿರಿ.
