ವಿಮೋಚನಕಾಂಡ 10
1 ೧ ತರುವಾಯ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಮೋಶೆಗೆ, “ಫರೋಹನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿ ಹೋಗು. ನಾನು ಫರೋಹನ ಮತ್ತು ಅವನ ಪರಿವಾರದವರ ಹೃದಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕಠಿಣಗೊಳಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಾನು ಈ ಮಹತ್ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಅವರ ಮುಂದೆ ನಡೆಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಇದು ಕಾರಣವಾಯಿತು.
Then said Yahweh unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh, —for, I, have suffered his heart to be dull and the heart of his servants, that I may show these my signs, in their midst;
2 ೨ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ತಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೂ, ಮೊಮ್ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೂ ನಾನು ಐಗುಪ್ತ್ಯರ ನಡುವೆ ನಡೆಸಿರುವ ಈ ಮಹತ್ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಿ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಐಗುಪ್ತ್ಯರನ್ನು ತನಗೆ ಇಷ್ಟಬಂದ ಹಾಗೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷಿಸಿದನು ಎಂಬುದಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿಸಬೇಕು. ಹೀಗೆ ನಾನು ಫರೋಹನ ಹೃದಯವನ್ನು, ಅವನ ಪರಿವಾರದವರ ಹೃದಯಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕಠಿಣಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಈ ಮಹತ್ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳಿಂದ ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನೇ ಯೆಹೋವನೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿರಿ” ಎಂದನು.
and that thou mayest recount in the ears of thy son and thy sons’ son, what I did in derision of the Egyptians, and my signs which I displayed among them, —so shall ye know that I, am Yahweh.
3 ೩ ಮೋಶೆ ಮತ್ತು ಆರೋನರು ಫರೋಹನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ಇಬ್ರಿಯರ ದೇವರಾಗಿರುವ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸುವುದೇನೆಂದರೆ, ‘ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ತಗ್ಗಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಇರುವುದು ಇನ್ನು ಎಲ್ಲಿಯವರೆಗೆ? ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸುವಂತೆ ನನ್ನ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ಕೊಡು.
And Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and said unto him—Thus, saith Yahweh, God of the Hebrews, How long hast thou refused to humble thyself before me? Let my people go that they may serve me.
But if, refusing, thou art to let my people go, behold me bringing in tomorrow a locust within thy bounds;
5 ೫ ಅವು ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಆವರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವು. ನೆಲವೇ ಕಾಣಿಸದೆ ಹೋಗುವುದು. ಆನೆಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಮಳೆಯಿಂದ ನಾಶವಾಗದೆ ಉಳಿದಿದ್ದೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನು ಮಿಡತೆಗಳು ತಿಂದುಬಿಡುವವು. ಹೊಲದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮರಗಳ ಎಲೆ ಚಿಗುರುಗಳನ್ನೂ ತಿಂದುಬಿಡುವವು.
and it shall cover the eye of the land, so that one shall not be able to see the land, —and it shall eat the residue that hath escaped, that is left you from the hail, and shall eat up all the trees that sprout for you out of the field;
6 ೬ ಅವು ನಿನ್ನ ಮನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ನಿನ್ನ ಪರಿವಾರದವರ ಮನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಐಗುಪ್ತ್ಯರೆಲ್ಲರ ಮನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ತುಂಬಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವವು. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರ ಕಾಲದಿಂದ ಇಂದಿನವರೆಗೂ ಅಂಥ ಮಿಡತೆಯ ದಂಡನ್ನು ಎಂದೂ ಅವರು ನೋಡಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ’” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಇದನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿ ಮೋಶೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು ಫರೋಹನ ಬಳಿಯಿಂದ ಹೊರಟುಹೋದನು.
and they shall fill thy houses, and the houses of all thy servants and the houses of all the Egyptians, such as thy fathers and thy fathers’ fathers have never seen, from the day they came to be on the ground, until this day. And he turned away, and came out from the presence of Pharaoh.
7 ೭ ಆಗ ಫರೋಹನ ಪರಿವಾರದವರು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಇನ್ನು ಎಷ್ಟು ದಿನ ನಮಗೆ ಉರುಲಾಗಿರಬೇಕು. ಆ ಜನರು ಹೋಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಕೊಡು. ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶವು ಹಾಳಾಯಿತೆಂದು ಇನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಬರಲಿಲ್ಲವೋ?” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
Then said the servants of Pharaoh unto him, How long shall this [man] become to us a snare? Let the men go, that they may serve Yahweh their God. Not yet, knowest thou, that Egypt is, ruined?
8 ೮ ಅದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಫರೋಹನು, ಮೋಶೆ ಮತ್ತು ಆರೋನರನ್ನು ತಿರುಗಿ ಕರೆಯಿಸಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನೀವು ಹೋಗಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸಬಹುದು. ಆದರೆ ಯಾರಾರು ಹೋಗಬೇಕನ್ನುತ್ತೀರಿ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು.
So Moses and Aaron were brought back unto pharaoh, and he said unto them—Go, serve Yahweh your God, —who, are they that are going?
9 ೯ ಮೋಶೆ ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನಾವು ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಜಾತ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ. ಆದಕಾರಣ ಚಿಕ್ಕವರು ಮೊದಲುಗೊಂಡು, ಮುದುಕರವರೆಗೂ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಹೋಗುತ್ತೇವೆ; ಗಂಡು ಹೆಣ್ಣುಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನೂ, ದನಕುರಿಗಳ ಮಂದೆಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುತ್ತೇವೆ” ಎಂದು ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
And Moses said, With our young and with our old, will we go, —with our sons and with our daughters with our flocks and with our herds, will we go, —for, the festival of Yahweh, is ours.
10 ೧೦ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಫರೋಹನು, “ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಹೋಗುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ಕೊಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರೆ, ಯೆಹೋವನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡವಿರುವನು. ನೋಡಿ, ನೀವು ದುರಾಲೋಚನೆಯಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿದವರು.
Then he said unto them: Let Yahweh, so, be with you, when I let go you and your little ones! Look out for, harm, is straight before your faces.
11 ೧೧ ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಗಂಡಸರು ಮಾತ್ರ ಹೋಗಿ ಯೆಹೋವನನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸಿ ಬರಬಹುದು. ನೀವು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದು ಅಷ್ಟೇ ಅಲ್ಲವೇ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಫರೋಹನು ತನ್ನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಿಂದ ಹೊರಡಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟನು.
Not so! Go, I pray you, ye grown men and serve Yahweh, for, that, is what, ye, were seeking. And they were driven out from the presence of Pharaoh.
12 ೧೨ ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಮೋಶೆಗೆ, “ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಯನ್ನು ಚಾಚಿ, ಮಿಡತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಬರಮಾಡು. ಆನೆಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಮಳೆಯಿಂದ ನಾಶವಾಗದೆ ಉಳಿದಿರುವ ಪೈರುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮಿಡತೆಗಳು ತಿಂದುಬಿಡಲಿ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
Then said Yahweh unto Moses—Stretch forth thy hand over the land of Egypt for the locust, that it may come up over the land of Egypt, —and may eat up every herb of the land, all that the hail hath left.
13 ೧೩ ಮೋಶೆ ತನ್ನ ಕೋಲನ್ನು ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶದ ಮೇಲೆ ಚಾಚಿದಾಗ, ಯೆಹೋವನು ಹಗಲಿರುಳು ಮೂಡಣದಿಕ್ಕಿನಿಂದ ಗಾಳಿಯನ್ನು ಬೀಸುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಹೊತ್ತಾರೆ ಗಾಳಿಯ ದೆಸೆಯಿಂದ ಮಿಡತೆಗಳು ಬಂದಿದ್ದವು.
And Moses stretched forth his staff over the land of Egypt, and, Yahweh, caused an east wind to drive through the land, all that day, and all the night, —when the morning, had come, the east wind, had brought the locust.
14 ೧೪ ಮಿಡತೆಗಳು ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಬಂದಿಳಿದು ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅಪರಿಮಿತವಾಗಿ ಮುತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡವು. ಅಂಥ ಮಿಡತೆಯ ದಂಡು ಹಿಂದೆಂದೂ ಬಂದಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಮುಂದೆಯೂ ಬರಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ.
And the locust came up over all the land of Egypt, and settled in all the bounds of Egypt, —very grievous, before it, had not been such a locust as that, neither after it, should be one like it.
15 ೧೫ ಅವು ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮುಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ನೆಲವು ಕಾಣದೇ ಹೋಯಿತು. ಆನೆಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಮಳೆಯಿಂದ ನಾಶವಾಗದೆ ಉಳಿದಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪೈರುಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಮರಗಳಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಾಯಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅವು ತಿಂದುಬಿಟ್ಟವು. ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮರಗಳಲ್ಲಾಗಲಿ, ಹೊಲದ ಗಿಡಗಳಲ್ಲಾಗಲಿ ಹಸುರಾದದ್ದು ಒಂದೂ ಉಳಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲ.
So it covered the eye of all the land and the land was darkened, and it did eat every herb of the land and all the fruit of the trees, which the hail had left remaining, —so that there was not left remaining any green sprout in the trees or in the herb of the field in all the land of Egypt.
16 ೧೬ ಆಗ ಫರೋಹನು ಮೋಶೆ ಆರೋನರನ್ನು ತ್ವರೆಯಾಗಿ ಕರೆಯಿಸಿ, “ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೂ, ನಿಮಗೂ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಪಾಪಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
Then hastened Pharaoh, to call for Moses and for Aaron, —and said—I have sinned against Yahweh your God, and against you.
17 ೧೭ ಆದರೂ ಈ ಒಂದೇ ಸಾರಿ ನನ್ನ ಪಾಪಗಳನ್ನು ಕ್ಷಮಿಸಬೇಕು. ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಈ ಮರಣಕರವಾದ ವಿಪತ್ತನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಯಿಂದ ತೊಲಗಿಸುವಂತೆ ಆತನನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಬೇಕು” ಎಂದನು.
Now, therefore, forgive I pray you my sin—only this time, and make entreaty to Yahweh your God, —that he may take away from me, at least, this death.
So he came out from Pharaoh, —and made entreaty unto Yahweh;
19 ೧೯ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಪಶ್ಚಿಮದಿಂದ ಬಿರುಗಾಳಿ ಬೀಸುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಅದು ಆ ಮಿಡತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ ಕೆಂಪುಸಮುದ್ರದೊಳಗೆ ಹಾಕಿಬಿಟ್ಟಿತು. ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶದ ಮೇರೆಗಳೊಳಗೆ ಒಂದು ಮಿಡತೆಯೂ ನಿಲ್ಲಲಿಲ್ಲ.
and Yahweh turned back a west wind strong exceedingly, and carried away the locust and cast it into the Red Sea, —there was not left a single locust in all the bounds of Egypt.
But Yahweh suffered the heart of Pharaoh to wax bold, —and he did not let the sons of Israel go.
21 ೨೧ ತರುವಾಯ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಮೋಶೆಗೆ, “ಆಕಾಶಕ್ಕೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಯನ್ನು ಚಾಚು. ಆಗ ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕತ್ತಲು ಉಂಟಾಗುವುದು. ಆ ಕತ್ತಲೆಯಿಂದಾಗಿ ಜನರು ತಡವರಿಸುತ್ತಾ ನಡೆಯುವರು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
Then said Yahweh unto Moses: Stretch forth thy hand over the heavens, that there may be darkness, over the land of Egypt, —and that one may feel the darkness.
So Moses stretched forth his hand over the heavens, —and there was thick darkness in all the land of Egypt for three days;
23 ೨೩ ಮೂರು ದಿನಗಳವರೆಗೆ ಅವರು ಒಬ್ಬರನ್ನೊಬ್ಬರು ನೋಡಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಯಾರೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ಥಳದಿಂದ ಏಳಲೂ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳಕು ಇತ್ತು.
they saw not one another neither rose any man from his couch for three days, —but all the sons of Israel, had light in their dwellings.
24 ೨೪ ಆಗ ಫರೋಹನು ಮೋಶೆಯನ್ನು ಕರೆಯಿಸಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನೀವು ಹೋಗಿ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಆರಾಧನೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಬರಬಹುದು. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದವರೂ ಹೋಗಬಹುದು. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕುರಿದನಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ಇಲ್ಲೇ ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋಗಬೇಕು” ಎಂದನು.
Then Pharaoh called out unto Moses and said—Go serve Yahweh, only, your flocks and your herds, shall be left, —even your little ones shall go with you.
25 ೨೫ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಮೋಶೆಯು, “ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ನಾವು ಯಜ್ಞಹೋಮಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವಂತೆ ಬೇಕಾದ ಪಶುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಲು ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಯಾಗಬೇಕು.
And Moses said, Even thou thyself, shalt give into our hands sacrifices and ascending-offerings, —so shall we present offerings to Yahweh our God.
26 ೨೬ ನಮ್ಮ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪಶುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸಹ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವೆವು. ಒಂದು ಗೊರಸನ್ನಾದರೂ ನಾವು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೋಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಆ ಪಶುಗಳಿಂದಲೇ ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಆರಾಧನೆಯನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಬೇಕು. ಯಾವ ಪಶುಗಳನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಬೇಕೆಂಬುದು ನಾವು ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಸೇರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಮೊದಲು ನಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯದು” ಎಂದನು.
Moreover also, our own cattle, shall go with us—there shall not be left behind, a hoof, for thereof, must we take, to serve Yahweh our God, —even we ourselves, cannot know wherewith we must serve Yahweh, until we have come in thither.
And Yahweh let the heart of Pharaoh wax bold, —and he was not willing to let them go.
28 ೨೮ ಆಗ ಫರೋಹನು ಮೋಶೆಗೆ, “ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋಗು. ಇನ್ನು ಮುಂದೆ ನನ್ನ ಮುಖವನ್ನು ನೋಡದಂತೆ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆಯಾಗಿರು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಮುಖವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀನು ಸಾಯುವೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
So Pharaoh said to him—Get thee from me, —take heed to thyself—do not any more! see my face, for in the day thou dost see my face, thou shalt die.
And Moses said—Well hast thou spoken, —no more again to see thy face.
