ಧರ್ಮೋಪದೇಶಕಾಂಡ 10
1 ೧ ಆ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೋವನು ನನಗೆ, “ನೀನು ಮೊದಲಿನ ಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಹಲಿಗೆಗಳಂತೆ ಬೇರೆ ಎರಡು ಹಲಿಗೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ಬೆಟ್ಟವನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿ ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಾ; ಮತ್ತು ಒಂದು ಮರದ ಮಂಜೂಷವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು.
At that time YHWH said unto me, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first, and come up unto me into the mount, and make thee an ark of wood.
2 ೨ ನೀನು ಒಡೆದುಬಿಟ್ಟ ಆ ಮೊದಲಿನ ಹಲಿಗೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿದ್ದ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ನಾನು ಈ ಹಲಿಗೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರೆಯುವೆನು. ತರುವಾಯ ನೀನು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಆ ಮಂಜೂಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಡಬೇಕು” ಎಂದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದನು.
And I will write on the tables the words that were in the first tables which thou brakest, and thou shalt put them in the ark.
3 ೩ ಆದಕಾರಣ ನಾನು ಜಾಲೀಮರದಿಂದ ಮಂಜೂಷವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಸಿ ಮೊದಲಿನ ಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಹಲಿಗೆಗಳಂತೆ ಬೇರೆ ಎರಡು ಹಲಿಗೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಪಡಿಸಿ, ಆ ಎರಡು ಹಲಿಗೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಬೆಟ್ಟವನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿದೆನು.
And I made an ark of shittim wood, and hewed two tables of stone like unto the first, and went up into the mount, having the two tables in mine hand.
4 ೪ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಗ್ನಿಜ್ವಾಲೆಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ನೀವು ಸಭೆ ಕೂಡಿದ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಹೇಳಿದ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು, ಅಂದರೆ ಆ ಹತ್ತು ಕಟ್ಟಳೆಗಳನ್ನು ಆತನು ಮೊದಲಿನಂತೆಯೇ ಆ ಹಲಿಗೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರೆದನು.
And he wrote on the tables, according to the first writing, the ten commandments, which YHWH spake unto you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly: and YHWH gave them unto me.
5 ೫ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಆ ಹಲಿಗೆಗಳನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ನಂತರ ನಾನು ಬೆಟ್ಟದಿಂದ ಇಳಿದು ಬಂದು ನನ್ನಿಂದ ಸಿದ್ಧವಾಗಿದ್ದ ಮಂಜೂಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಯ ಮೇರೆಗೆ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟೆನು; ಅವು ಇಂದಿನವರೆಗೂ ಅದರಲ್ಲೇ ಇವೆ.
And I turned myself and came down from the mount, and put the tables in the ark which I had made; and there they be, as YHWH commanded me.
6 ೬ (ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ಯಾಕಾನ್ಯರ ಬಾವಿಗಳ ಬಳಿಯಿಂದ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಮಾಡಿ ಮೋಸೇರಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದರು. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಆರೋನನು ಸಾಯಲಾಗಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಸಮಾಧಿ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಅವನ ಮಗನಾದ ಎಲ್ಲಾಜಾರನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕನಾದನು.
And the children of Israel took their journey from Beeroth of the children of Jaakan to Mosera: there Aaron died, and there he was buried; and Eleazar his son ministered in the priest's office in his stead.
From thence they journeyed unto Gudgodah; and from Gudgodah to Jotbath, a land of rivers of waters.
8 ೮ ಆ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಲೇವಿ ಕುಲದವರನ್ನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕಿಸಿ ತನ್ನ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯ ಮಂಜೂಷವನ್ನು ಹೊರುವುದಕ್ಕೂ, ತನ್ನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇವೆ ಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಮತ್ತು ತನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿನಿಂದ ಜನರನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಅವರನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸಿದನು. ಅವರು ಇಂದಿನ ವರೆಗೂ ಆ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ನಡಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
At that time YHWH separated the tribe of Levi, to bear the ark of the covenant of YHWH, to stand before YHWH to minister unto him, and to bless in his name, unto this day.
9 ೯ ಆದುದರಿಂದ ಉಳಿದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಿಗೆ ದೊರಕಿದಂತೆ ಲೇವಿಯರಿಗೆ ಸ್ವಂತವಾದ ಭೂಸ್ಥಿತಿಯು ದೊರೆಯಲಿಲ್ಲ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದಂತೆ ಯೆಹೋವನೇ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸ್ವತ್ತು.
Wherefore Levi hath no part nor inheritance with his brethren; YHWH is his inheritance, according as YHWH thy Elohim promised him.
10 ೧೦ ನಾನು ಮೊದಲಿನಂತೆ ಹಗಲಿರುಳು ನಲ್ವತ್ತು ದಿನವೂ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಮೇಲೆ ಇರಲಾಗಿ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಆ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂಬ ಆಲೋಚನೆಯನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಟ್ಟನು.
And I stayed in the mount, according to the first time, forty days and forty nights; and YHWH hearkened unto me at that time also, and YHWH would not destroy thee.
11 ೧೧ ತರುವಾಯ ಯೆಹೋವನು ನನಗೆ, “ನೀನು ಈ ಜನರ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೋಗು; ನಾನು ಇವರ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಮಾಡಿಕೊಟ್ಟ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಇವರು ಸೇರಿ ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿ” ಎಂದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದನು.
And YHWH said unto me, Arise, take thy journey before the people, that they may go in and possess the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give unto them.
12 ೧೨ ಆದುದರಿಂದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರೇ, ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನಲ್ಲಿ ಭಯಭಕ್ತಿಯುಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿ, ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಿಷಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಆತನು ಹೇಳುವ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲೇ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಾ, ಆತನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುತ್ತಾ, ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾದ ಹೃದಯದಿಂದಲೂ, ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದಲೂ ಸೇವೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ,
And now, Israel, what doth YHWH thy Elohim require of thee, but to fear YHWH thy Elohim, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve YHWH thy Elohim with all thy heart and with all thy soul,
13 ೧೩ ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲಿಗಾಗಿ ಈಗ ಬೋಧಿಸುವ ಆತನ ಆಜ್ಞಾವಿಧಿಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಇರುವುದನ್ನೇ ಹೊರತು ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು
To keep the commandments of YHWH, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?
14 ೧೪ ನಿಮ್ಮಿಂದ ಬೇರೇನೂ ಕೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನೆ? ಆಲೋಚಿಸಿರಿ; ಉನ್ನತವಾದ ಆಕಾಶಮಂಡಲವೂ ಮತ್ತು ಭೂಮಿಯೂ, ಅದರಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನವೇ.
Behold, the heaven and the heaven of heavens is YHWH 's thy Elohim, the earth also, with all that therein is.
15 ೧೫ ಆದರೂ ಆತನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರಲ್ಲಿ ಇಷ್ಟವುಳ್ಳವನಾಗಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಈಗ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಅನುಭವಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಂತೆ ಅವರ ತರುವಾಯ ಅವರ ಸಂತತಿಯವರಾದ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನೇ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳೊಳಗಿಂದ ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನು.
Only YHWH had a delight in thy fathers to love them, and he chose their seed after them, even you above all people, as it is this day.
16 ೧೬ ಆದುದರಿಂದ ನೀವು ಆಜ್ಞೆಗೆ ಮಣಿಯದ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದುಷ್ಟಸ್ವಭಾವವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲೇ ಸುನ್ನತಿಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ.
Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked.
17 ೧೭ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ದೇವಾಧಿದೇವನಾಗಿಯೂ, ಕರ್ತರ ಕರ್ತನಾಗಿಯೂ ಇದ್ದಾನೆ. ಆತನು ಪರಮದೇವರೂ, ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಿಯೂ ಮತ್ತು ಭಯಂಕರನೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಆತನು ಪಕ್ಷಪಾತ ಮಾಡುವವನಲ್ಲ ಹಾಗೂ ಲಂಚತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನಲ್ಲ.
For YHWH your Elohim is the mighty one of the elohim, and Sovereign of sovereign, a great El, mighty, and terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh bribes:
18 ೧೮ ಆತನು ಅನಾಥರ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಧವೆಯರ ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಪರದೇಶಿಗಳಾದವರಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಿಟ್ಟು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಅನ್ನವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.
He doth execute the judgment of the fatherless and widow, and loveth the stranger, in giving him food and raiment.
Love ye therefore the stranger: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.
20 ೨೦ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನಲ್ಲಿ ಭಯಭಕ್ತಿಯುಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿ, ಆತನನ್ನೇ ಸೇವಿಸಬೇಕು; ಆತನನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿಕೊಂಡು, ಆತನ ಹೆಸರಿನ ಮೇಲೆಯೇ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಮಾಡಬೇಕು.
Thou shalt fear YHWH thy Elohim; him shalt thou serve, and to him shalt thou cleave, and swear by his name.
21 ೨೧ ಆತನೊಬ್ಬನೇ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸ್ತುತಿ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಪಾತ್ರನು; ಆತನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರು; ನೀವು ನೋಡಿದ ಆ ಅದ್ಭುತವಾದ ಮಹತ್ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಮಗೋಸ್ಕರ ನಡಿಸಿದವನು ಆತನೇ.
He is thy praise, and he is thy Elohim, that hath done for thee these great and terrible things, which thine eyes have seen.
22 ೨೨ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರಲ್ಲಿ ಎಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಜನರು ಮಾತ್ರ ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದರು; ಈಗ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಆಕಾಶದ ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಗಳಷ್ಟು ಅಸಂಖ್ಯರಾಗಿರುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
Thy fathers went down into Egypt with threescore and ten persons; and now YHWH thy Elohim hath made thee as the stars of heaven for multitude.
