ದಾನಿಯೇಲನು 3
1 ೧ ರಾಜನಾದ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನು ಅರುವತ್ತು ಮೊಳ ಎತ್ತರದ, ಆರು ಮೊಳ ಅಗಲದ ಒಂದು ಬಂಗಾರದ ಪ್ರತಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಸಿ, ಬಾಬೆಲ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾನದ ದೂರಾ ಎಂಬ ಬಯಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದನು.
Nebuchadnezzar the king has made an image of gold, its height sixty cubits, its breadth six cubits; he has raised it up in the Valley of Dura, in the province of Babylon;
2 ೨ ಆಗ ರಾಜನಾದ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನು ತಾನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರತಿಮೆಯ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠೋತ್ಸವಕ್ಕೆ ಉಪರಾಜ, ನಾಯಕ, ದೇಶಾಧಿಪತಿ, ಮಂತ್ರಿ, ಕೋಶಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ, ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧಿಪತಿ, ವಿಚಾರಕ ಮುಂತಾದವರನ್ನೂ, ಸಮಸ್ತ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾನಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಒಟ್ಟುಗೂಡಿಸುವಂತೆ ಸಮಾಚಾರವನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು.
and Nebuchadnezzar the king has sent to gather the satraps, the prefects, and the governors, the counselors, the treasurers, the judges, the magistrates, and all the rulers of the province, to come to the dedication of the image that Nebuchadnezzar the king has raised up.
3 ೩ ಆ ಉಪರಾಜ, ನಾಯಕ, ದೇಶಾಧಿಪತಿ, ಮಂತ್ರಿ, ಕೋಶಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ, ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧಿಪತಿ, ವಿಚಾರಕ ಇವರೂ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾನಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳೂ ರಾಜನಾದ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರತಿಮೆಯ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠೋತ್ಸವಕ್ಕೆ ನೆರೆದು, ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರತಿಮೆಯ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡರು.
Then are gathered the satraps, the prefects, and the governors, the counselors, the treasurers, the judges, the magistrates, and all the rulers of the province, to the dedication of the image that Nebuchadnezzar the king has raised up: and they are standing before the image that Nebuchadnezzar has raised up.
And a crier is calling mightily: “They are saying to you: O peoples, nations, and languages!
5 ೫ ನೀವು ತುತ್ತೂರಿ, ಕೊಳಲು, ಕಿನ್ನರಿ, ತಂಬೂರಿ, ವೀಣೆ, ವಾಲಗ ಮುಂತಾದ ಸಕಲ ವಾದ್ಯಗಳ ಧ್ವನಿಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ ಕೂಡಲೆ ಅಡ್ಡಬಿದ್ದು, ರಾಜನಾದ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿರುವ ಬಂಗಾರದ ಪ್ರತಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ಪೂಜಿಸಬೇಕು.
At the time that you hear the voice of the horn, the flute, the harp, the lyre, the stringed instrument, the symphony, and all kinds of music, you fall down and pay respect to the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king has raised up:
6 ೬ ಯಾವನು ಅಡ್ಡಬಿದ್ದು ಪೂಜಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೋ ಅವನು ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಧಗಧಗನೆ ಉರಿಯುವ ಬೆಂಕಿಯೊಳಗೆ ಹಾಕಲ್ಪಡುವನು” ಎಂದು ಸಾರಿದನು.
and whoever does not fall down and pay respect, in that hour he is cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.”
7 ೭ ಆದಕಾರಣ ಅದೇ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಜನಾಂಗ, ಕುಲ, ಭಾಷೆಗಳವರು ತುತ್ತೂರಿ, ಕೊಳಲು, ಕಿನ್ನರಿ, ತಂಬೂರಿ, ವೀಣೆ ಮುಂತಾದ ಸಕಲ ವಾದ್ಯಗಳ ಧ್ವನಿಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ ಕೂಡಲೆ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಅಡ್ಡಬಿದ್ದು ರಾಜನಾದ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ ಬಂಗಾರದ ಪ್ರತಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ಪೂಜಿಸಿದರು.
Therefore at that time, when all the peoples are hearing the voice of the horn, the flute, the harp, the lyre, the stringed instrument, and all kinds of music, falling down are all the peoples, nations and languages, worshiping the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king has raised up.
Therefore at that time certain Chaldeans have drawn near, and accused the Jews;
they have answered, indeed, they are saying to Nebuchadnezzar the king, “O king, live for all ages!
10 ೧೦ ಪ್ರಭುವೇ, ತುತ್ತೂರಿ, ಕೊಳಲು, ಕಿನ್ನರಿ, ತಂಬೂರಿ, ವೀಣೆ, ವಾಲಗ ಮುಂತಾದ ಸಕಲ ವಾದ್ಯಗಳ ಧ್ವನಿಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನೂ ಅಡ್ಡಬಿದ್ದು, ಬಂಗಾರದ ಪ್ರತಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ಪೂಜಿಸಲಿ.
You, O king, have made a decree that every man who hears the voice of the horn, the flute, the harp, the lyre, the stringed instrument, and the symphony, and all kinds of music, falls down and pays respect to the golden image;
and whoever does not fall down and pay respect, is cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.
12 ೧೨ ನೀನು ಬಾಬೆಲ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾನದ ಕಾರ್ಯಭಾರವನ್ನು ವಹಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟ ಶದ್ರಕ್, ಮೇಶಕ್, ಅಬೇದ್ನೆಗೋ ಎಂಬ ಕೆಲವು ಮಂದಿ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು ಇದ್ದಾರೆ. ರಾಜನೇ, ಇವರು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಲಕ್ಷಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರುಗಳನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ನೀನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ ಬಂಗಾರದ ಪ್ರತಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ಪೂಜಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ” ಎಂದು ಅರಿಕೆಮಾಡಿದರು.
There are certain Jews whom you have appointed over the work of the province of Babylon—Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, these men have not made of you, O king, [any] regard; your gods they are not serving, and to the golden image you have raised up—are not making worship.”
13 ೧೩ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನು ಉಗ್ರರೋಷವುಳ್ಳವನಾಗಿ ಶದ್ರಕ್, ಮೇಶಕ್, ಅಬೇದ್ನೆಗೋ ಎಂಬುವವರನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ತರಬೇಕೆಂದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದನು.
Then Nebuchadnezzar, in anger and fury, has said to bring in Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego. Then these men have been brought in before the king.
14 ೧೪ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ತರಲು ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಶದ್ರಕ್, ಮೇಶಕ್, ಅಬೇದ್ನೆಗೋ ಎಂಬುವವರೇ, ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸದೆ, ನಾನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ ಬಂಗಾರದ ಪ್ರತಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ಪೂಜಿಸದೆ ಇರುವುದು ಬೇಕೆಂದೇ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೋ?
Nebuchadnezzar has answered and said to them, “Is [it] a laid plan, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego—my gods you are not serving, and to the golden image that I have raised up you are not worshiping?
15 ೧೫ “ಈಗಲಾದರೂ ನೀವು ಸಿದ್ಧವಾಗಿದ್ದು ತುತ್ತೂರಿ, ಕೊಳಲು, ಕಿನ್ನರಿ, ತಂಬೂರಿ, ವೀಣೆ, ವಾಲಗ ಮುಂತಾದ ಸಕಲ ವಾದ್ಯಗಳ ಧ್ವನಿಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ ಕೂಡಲೆ ಅಡ್ಡಬಿದ್ದು, ನಾನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರತಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ಪೂಜಿಸಿದರೆ ಸರಿ; ಇಲ್ಲವಾದರೆ ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಧಗಧಗನೆ ಉರಿಯುವ ಬೆಂಕಿಯೊಳಗೆ ಹಾಕಲ್ಪಡುವಿರಿ; ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಕೈಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಬಿಡಿಸಬಲ್ಲ ದೇವರು ಯಾರು?” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
Now behold, you are ready, so that at the time that you hear the voice of the horn, the flute, the harp, the lyre, the stringed instrument, and the symphony, and all kinds of music, you fall down and pay respect to the image that I have made! But if you do not worship—in that hour you are cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; who is that God who delivers you out of my hands?”
16 ೧೬ ಇದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಶದ್ರಕ್ ಮೇಶಕ್, ಅಬೇದ್ನೆಗೋ ಎಂಬುವವರು ರಾಜನಿಗೆ, “ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನೇ, ಈ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ನಿನಗೆ ಏನೂ ಹೇಳಬೇಕಾಗಿಲ್ಲ.
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego have answered, indeed, they are saying to King Nebuchadnezzar, “We have no need concerning this matter to answer you.
17 ೧೭ ‘ಅರಸನೇ, ನಾವು ಆರಾಧಿಸುವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಚಿತ್ತವಿದ್ದರೆ ಆತನು ಧಗಧಗನೆ ಉರಿಯುವ ಬೆಂಕಿಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸಬಲ್ಲನು; ಹೇಗೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸುವನು.
Behold, it is; our God whom we are serving, is able to deliver us from a burning fiery furnace; and from your hand, O king, He delivers.
18 ೧೮ ಚಿತ್ತವಿಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೂ ರಾಜನೇ, ಇದು ನಿನಗೆ ತಿಳಿದಿರಲಿ, ನಾವು ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರುಗಳನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ನೀನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ ಬಂಗಾರದ ಪ್ರತಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ಪೂಜಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ’” ಎಂದು ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟರು.
And behold—not! Be it known to you, O king, that we are not serving your gods, and we do not worship the golden image you have raised up.”
19 ೧೯ ಆಗ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನು ಕೋಪೋದ್ರೇಕದಿಂದ ಮುಖಭಾವವನ್ನು ಶದ್ರಕ್, ಮೇಶಕ್, ಅಬೇದ್ನೆಗೋ ಎಂಬುವವರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಬೆಂಕಿಯನ್ನು ನಿತ್ಯಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಏಳರಷ್ಟು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಉರಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದನು.
Then Nebuchadnezzar has been full of fury, and the expression of his face has been changed concerning Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego; he answered and said to heat the furnace seven times above that which it is seen to be heated;
20 ೨೦ ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ತನ್ನ ಸೈನ್ಯದ ಕೆಲವು ಮಂದಿ ಶೂರರಿಗೆ ಶದ್ರಕ್, ಮೇಶಕ್, ಅಬೇದ್ನೆಗೋ ಎಂಬುವವರನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿ ಧಗಧಗನೆ ಉರಿಯುವ ಬೆಂಕಿಯೊಳಗೆ ಎತ್ತಿಹಾಕಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
and to certain mighty men who [are] in his force he has said to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, to cast into the burning fiery furnace.
21 ೨೧ ಅದರಂತೆ ಶಲ್ಯ, ಇಜಾರು, ಮುಂಡಾಸ ಮೊದಲಾದ ಉಡುಪನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿ ಧಗಧಗನೆ ಉರಿಯುವ ಬೆಂಕಿಯೊಳಗೆ ಹಾಕಿಬಿಟ್ಟರು.
Then these men have been bound in their coats, their tunics, and their turbans, and their clothing, and have been cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.
22 ೨೨ ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ರಾಜಾಜ್ಞೆಯು ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿದ್ದುದರಿಂದಲೂ ಬೆಂಕಿಯ ಕಾವು ಅತಿ ತೀಕ್ಷ್ಣವಾಗಿದ್ದುದರಿಂದಲೂ ಅಗ್ನಿಜ್ವಾಲೆಯು ಶದ್ರಕ್, ಮೇಶಕ್, ಅಬೇದ್ನೆಗೋ ಎಂಬುವವರನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ಹಾಕಿದವರನ್ನೇ ದಹಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟಿತು.
Therefore, because that the word of the king is urgent, and the furnace heated exceedingly, those men who have taken up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego—the spark of the fire has killed them.
23 ೨೩ ಶದ್ರಕ್, ಮೇಶಕ್, ಅಬೇದ್ನೆಗೋ ಈ ಮೂವರು ಕಟ್ಟಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವರಾಗಿ ಧಗಧಗನೆ ಉರಿಯುವ ಬೆಂಕಿಯ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದುಬಿಟ್ಟರು.
And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, have fallen down in the midst of the burning fiery furnace—bound.
24 ೨೪ ಆಗ ರಾಜನಾದ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನು ಬೆಚ್ಚಿಬಿದ್ದು, ತಟ್ಟನೆ ಎದ್ದು ತನ್ನ ಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳಿಗೆ, “ಕಟ್ಟಿದ ಮೂವರನ್ನು ನಾವು ಬೆಂಕಿಯೊಳಗೆ ಹಾಕಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲವೋ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಲು ಅವರು ರಾಜನಿಗೆ, “ಅರಸನೇ, ಹೌದು, ಹಾಕಿರುವುದು ಸತ್ಯ” ಎಂದು ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟರು.
Then Nebuchadnezzar the king has been astonished, and has risen in haste; he has answered and said to his counselors, “Have we not cast three men into the midst of the fire—bound?” They have answered and are saying to the king, “Certainly, O king.”
25 ೨೫ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವನು, “ಇಗೋ, ಕಟ್ಟಿಲ್ಲದ ನಾಲ್ವರನ್ನು ನೋಡುತ್ತೇನೆ, ಬೆಂಕಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಿರುಗಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ, ಅವರಿಗೆ ಯಾವ ಹಾನಿಯೂ ಇಲ್ಲ; ನಾಲ್ಕನೆಯವನ ರೂಪವು ದೇವಕುಮಾರನ ರೂಪದಂತಿದೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
He answered and has said, “Behold, I am seeing four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the appearance of the fourth [is] like to a son of the gods.”
26 ೨೬ ಆಗ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನು ಧಗಧಗನೆ ಉರಿಯುವ ಬೆಂಕಿಯ ಬಾಯಿಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ, “ಪರಾತ್ಪರದೇವರ ಸೇವಕರಾದ ಶದ್ರಕ್, ಮೇಶಕ್, ಅಬೇದ್ನೆಗೋ ಎಂಬುವವರೇ ಬನ್ನಿ, ಹೊರಗೆ ಬನ್ನಿ ಎಂದು ಕೂಗಲು, ಶದ್ರಕ್ ಮೇಶಕ್ ಅಬೇದ್ನೆಗೋ ಎಂಬುವವರು ಬೆಂಕಿಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ಬಂದರು.
Then Nebuchadnezzar has drawn near to the gate of the burning fiery furnace; he has answered and said, “Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, servants of God Most High come forth, indeed, come”; then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego come forth, from the midst of the fire;
27 ೨೭ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂಡಿದ್ದ ಉಪರಾಜ, ನಾಯಕ, ದೇಶಾಧಿಪತಿ, ಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳು ಅವರನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೆಂಕಿಯ ಅಧಿಕಾರವು ನಡೆದಿಲ್ಲ, ಅವರ ತಲೆಕೂದಲೂ ಸುಟ್ಟಿಲ್ಲ, ಅವರ ಶಲ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿಕಾರವಿಲ್ಲ, ಬೆಂಕಿಯ ವಾಸನೆಯೇ ಮುಟ್ಟಿಲ್ಲ” ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡರು.
and gathered together, the satraps, the prefects, and the governors, and the counselors of the king, are seeing these men, that the fire has no power over their bodies, and the hair of their head has not been singed, and their coats have not changed, and the smell of fire has not passed on them.
28 ೨೮ ಆಗ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನು, “ಶದ್ರಕ್, ಮೇಶಕ್, ಅಬೇದ್ನೆಗೋ ಎಂಬುವವರ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರವಾಗಲಿ! ಆತನು ತನ್ನ ದೂತನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ ತನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಭರವಸವಿಟ್ಟು ರಾಜಾಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ಜಯಿಸಿ ತನ್ನನ್ನೇ ಹೊರತು ಇನ್ನಾವ ದೇವರನ್ನೂ ಸೇವಿಸಿ ಪೂಜಿಸಬಾರದೆಂದು ಸ್ವದೇಹಗಳನ್ನು ಮರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದ ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರನ್ನು ಉದ್ಧರಿಸಿದ್ದಾನಲ್ಲವೇ.
Nebuchadnezzar has answered and has said, “Blessed [is] the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, who has sent His messenger, and has delivered His servants who trusted on Him.” And the word of the king changed, and gave up their bodies that they might not serve nor pay respect to any god except to their own God.
29 ೨೯ ಸಕಲ ಜನಾಂಗ, ಕುಲ, ಭಾಷೆಗಳವರಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರಾದರೂ ಶದ್ರಕ್, ಮೇಶಕ್, ಅಬೇದ್ನೆಗೋ ಎಂಬುವವರ ದೇವರ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲ್ಲ ಸಲ್ಲದ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನಾಡಿದರೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ತುಂಡುತುಂಡಾಗಿ ಕತ್ತರಿಸಿ, ಅವರ ಮನೆಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಪ್ಪೆಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂಬ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ವಿಧಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಹೀಗೆ ಉದ್ಧರಿಸಲು ಸಮರ್ಥನಾದ ಇನ್ಯಾವ ದೇವರೂ ಇಲ್ಲವಲ್ಲಾ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
“And by me a decree is made, that any people, nation, and language, that speaks erroneously concerning the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, he is made pieces, and its house is made a dunghill, because that there is no other god who is able thus to deliver.”
30 ೩೦ ಬಳಿಕ ರಾಜನು ಶದ್ರಕ್, ಮೇಶಕ್, ಅಬೇದ್ನೆಗೋ ಎಂಬುವವರನ್ನು ಬಾಬೆಲ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಉನ್ನತ ಪದವಿ ನೀಡಿ ಗೌರವಿಸಿದನು.
Then the king has caused Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, to prosper in the province of Babylon.
