ತಿಮೊಥೆಯನಿಗೆ ಬರೆದ ಎರಡನೆಯ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆ 2
You therefore, my child, be strengthened in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
2 ೨ ನೀನು ಅನೇಕ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಗಳ ಮುಂದೆ ನನ್ನಿಂದ ಕೇಳಿದ ಉಪದೇಶವನ್ನು ಇತರರಿಗೆ ಬೋಧಿಸಲು ಶಕ್ತರಾದ, ನಂಬಿಗಸ್ತರಾದ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಡು.
The things which you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit the same to faithful people, who will be able to teach others also.
You therefore must share in hardship, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.
4 ೪ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವ ಸೈನಿಕನು ಲೋಕವ್ಯವಹಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ, ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಸೈನ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡವನನ್ನು ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಯಾಸ ಪಡುತ್ತಿರುವನಲ್ಲವೇ.
No soldier on duty entangles himself in the affairs of life, that he may please him who enrolled him as a soldier.
5 ೫ ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎದುರಾಳಿಯೊಡನೆ ಹೋರಾಡುವಾಗ ನಿಯಮದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಹೋರಾಡದಿದ್ದರೆ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಜಯಮಾಲೆಯು ದೊರಕುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
Also, if anyone competes in athletics, he is not crowned unless he has competed by the rules.
The farmers who labor must be the first to get a share of the crops.
Consider what I say, for the Lord will give you understanding in all things.
8 ೮ ಸತ್ತವರೊಳಗಿಂದ ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವನೂ ದಾವೀದನ ವಂಶದವನೂ ಆಗಿರುವ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನನ್ನು ಜ್ಞಾಪಕಮಾಡಿಕೋ, ಇದೇ ನಾನು ಸಾರುವ ಸುವಾರ್ತೆ.
Remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, a descendant of David, according to my Good News,
9 ೯ ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಕಷ್ಟವನ್ನನುಭವಿಸಿ ದುಷ್ಕರ್ಮಿಯಂತೆ ಸಂಕೋಲೆಯಿಂದ ಬಂಧಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವನಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಆದರೆ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂಧನವಿಲ್ಲ.
in which I suffer hardship to the point of chains as a criminal. But God's word is not chained.
10 ೧೦ ಆದಕಾರಣ ದೇವರು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡವರು ಸಹ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯನ್ನು ನಿತ್ಯ ಮಹಿಮೆಯ ಸಹಿತವಾಗಿ ಹೊಂದಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಾನು ಅವರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನು ತಾಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ. (aiōnios g166)
Therefore I endure all things for the chosen ones' sake, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with everlasting glory. (aiōnios g166)
This saying is faithful: "For if we died with him, we will also live with him.
12 ೧೨ ಸಹಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವರಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಆತನೊಡನೆ ಆಳುವೆವು. ನಾವು ಯೇಸುವಿನವರಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರೆ ಆತನು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತನ್ನವರಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ಹೇಳುವನು.
If we endure, we will also reign with him. If we deny him, he also will deny us.
13 ೧೩ ನಾವು ಅಪನಂಬಿಗಸ್ತರಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ಆತನು ನಂಬಿಗಸ್ತನಾಗಿಯೇ ಇರುವನು. ಆತನು ತನ್ನ ಸ್ವಭಾವವನ್ನು ನಿರಾಕರಿಸಲು ಆಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.”
If we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny himself."
14 ೧೪ ಈ ಸಂಗತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸಭೆಯವರ ಜ್ಞಾಪಕಕ್ಕೆ ತರಬೇಕು. ಕೇಳುವವರಿಗೆ ಕೇಡನ್ನುಂಟುಮಾಡುವುದಲ್ಲದೇ, ಯಾವ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನಕ್ಕೂ ಬಾರದ ತರ್ಕ ವಾಗ್ವಾದಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಬಾರದೆಂದು, ಅವರಿಗೆ ದೇವರ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳು.
Remind them of these things, charging them in the presence of God, not to wrangle about words, to no profit, to the subverting of those who hear.
15 ೧೫ ನೀನು ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಯೋಗ್ಯನಾಗಿ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಯಾಸಪಡು. ಅವಮಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಗುರಿಯಾಗದ ಕೆಲಸದವನೂ ಸತ್ಯವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ಉಪದೇಶಿಸುವವನೂ ಆಗಿರು.
Do your best to present yourself approved by God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, properly handling the word of truth.
16 ೧೬ ಪ್ರಾಪಂಚಿಕವಾದ ವ್ಯರ್ಥ ಹರಟೆ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಂದ ದೂರವಾಗಿರು, ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಮನಸ್ಸುಕೊಡುವವರು ಹೆಚ್ಚೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಭಕ್ತಿಹೀನರಾಗುವರು.
But shun empty chatter, for they will proceed further in ungodliness,
and their word will consume like gangrene, of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;
who have erred concerning the truth, saying that the resurrection is already past, and overthrowing the faith of some.
19 ೧೯ ಆದರೂ ದೇವರ ಸ್ಥಿರವಾದ ಅಸ್ತಿವಾರವು ನಿಲ್ಲುತ್ತದೆ. ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ “ತನ್ನವರು ಯಾರೆಂಬುದನ್ನು ಕರ್ತನು ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದಾನೆ” ಎಂತಲೂ “ಕರ್ತನ ನಾಮವನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವರೆಲ್ಲರು ದುರ್ಮಾರ್ಗತನವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಡಬೇಕು” ಎಂತಲೂ ಲಿಖಿತವಾಗಿದೆ.
However God's firm foundation stands, having this seal, "The Lord knows those who are his," and, "Let every one who names the name of the Lord depart from unrighteousness."
20 ೨೦ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ಬಂಗಾರದ ಪಾತ್ರೆಗಳಲ್ಲದೆ, ಮರದ ಪಾತ್ರೆಗಳೂ, ಮಣ್ಣಿನ ಪಾತ್ರೆಗಳೂ ಇರುತ್ತವೆ. ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವನ್ನು ಉತ್ತಮವಾದ ಬಳಕೆಗೂ ಕೆಲವನ್ನು ಹೀನವಾದ ಬಳಕೆಗೂ ಬಳಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
Now in a large house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of clay. Some are for honor, and some for dishonor.
21 ೨೧ ಹೀಗಿರಲಾಗಿ ಒಬ್ಬನು ಹೀನ ನಡತೆಯುಳ್ಳವರ ಸಹವಾಸವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಶುದ್ಧಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರೆ, ಅವನು ಉತ್ತಮವಾದ ಬಳಕೆಗೆ ಯೋಗ್ಯನಾಗಿರುವನು. ಅವನು ದೇವರ ಸೇವೆಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿತನಾಗಿಯೂ, ಯಜಮಾನನಿಗೆ ಉಪಯುಕ್ತನಾಗಿಯೂ, ಸಕಲ ಸತ್ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿದ್ಧನಾಗಿಯೂ ಇರುವನು.
If anyone therefore purges himself from these, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, and suitable for the master's use, prepared for every good work.
22 ೨೨ ನೀನು ಯೌವನದ ಮೋಹಗಳಿಗೆ ದೂರವಾಗಿರು. ಶುದ್ಧಹೃದಯವುಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿ ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವರ ಸಂಗಡ ನೀತಿ, ನಂಬಿಕೆ, ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮಾಧಾನಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಪಾದಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಯಾಸಪಡು.
Flee from youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
But refuse foolish and ignorant questionings, knowing that they generate strife.
The Lord's servant must not quarrel, but be gentle towards all, able to teach, patient,
25 ೨೫ ಎದುರಿಸುವವರನ್ನು ಸೌಮ್ಯತೆಯಿಂದ ತಿದ್ದುವವನೂ ಆಗಿರಬೇಕು. ಬಹುಶಃ ದೇವರು ಆ ಎದುರಿಸುವವರ ಮನಸ್ಸನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಸಿ ಸತ್ಯದ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಾನು.
in gentleness correcting those who oppose him: perhaps God may give them repentance leading to a full knowledge of the truth,
26 ೨೬ ಸೈತಾನನ ಬಲೆಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದವರಾದ ಇವರು ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ದೇವರ ಚಿತ್ತವನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಶಕ್ತರಾದಾರು.
and they may recover themselves out of the devil's snare, having been taken captive by him to his will.
