ಸಮುವೇಲನು - ದ್ವಿತೀಯ ಭಾಗ 4

1 ೧ ಅಬ್ನೇರನು ಹೆಬ್ರೋನಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸತ್ತನೆಂಬ ವರ್ತಮಾನವು ಸೌಲನ ಮಗನಾದ ಈಷ್ಬೋಶೆತನಿಗೆ ಮುಟ್ಟಿದಾಗ ಅವನ ಕೈಗಳು ಜೋಲುಬಿದ್ದವು. ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರೆಲ್ಲರು ಕಳವಳಗೊಂಡರು.

2 ೨ ಸೌಲನ ಮಗನಿಗೆ ಬಾಣ, ರೇಕಾಬ ಎಂಬ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಸೇನಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರು ಬೆನ್ಯಾಮೀನ್ ಕುಲದ ಬೇರೋತಿನವನಾದ ರಿಮ್ಮೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು. ಬೇರೋತ ಎಂಬುದು ಬೆನ್ಯಾಮೀನ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದ ಗ್ರಾಮ.

3 ೩ ಆದರೆ ಬೇರೋತ್ಯರು ಗಿತ್ತಯಿಮಿಗೆ ಓಡಿಹೋಗಿ, ಇಂದಿನ ವರೆಗೂ ಅಲ್ಲೇ ಪ್ರವಾಸಿಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

4 ೪ ಸೌಲನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೋನಾತಾನನಿಗೆ ಮೆಫೀಬೋಶೆತನೆಂಬ ಒಬ್ಬ ಕುಂಟ ಮಗನಿದ್ದನು. ಅವನು ಕುಂಟನಾಗಿದ್ದು ಹೇಗೆಂದರೆ, ಸೌಲಯೋನಾತಾನರು ಸತ್ತರೆಂಬ ವರ್ತಮಾನವು ಇಜ್ರೇಲಿನಿಂದ ಬಂದಾಗ, ಐದು ವರ್ಷದವನಾಗಿದ್ದ ಅವನನ್ನು ಅವನ ದಾದಿಯು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಅವಸರದಿಂದ ಓಡಿಹೋಗುವಾಗ ಅವನು ಬಿದ್ದು ಕುಂಟನಾದನು.

5 ೫ ಈಷ್ಬೋಶೆತನು ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನದ ಬಿಸಿಲು ಹೊತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮನೆಯೊಳಗೆ ಮಲಗಿರುವಾಗ ಬೇರೋತಿನ ರಿಮ್ಮೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಾದ ರೇಕಾಬ್, ಬಾಣ ಎಂಬುವರು ಅವನ ಮನೆಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದರು.

6 ೬ ಆಗ ಬಾಗಿಲು ಕಾಯುವವಳು ಗೋದಿ ಕೇರುತ್ತಿದ್ದು ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ತೂಕಡಿಸಿ ನಿದ್ದೆಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಬಾಣ ಮತ್ತು ರೇಕಾಬರು ಕಂಡು ರಹಸ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಒಳಗೆ ಜಾರಿಕೊಂಡರು.

7 ೭ ಅವರು ಒಳಕೋಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಂಚದ ಮೇಲೆ ಮಲಗಿದ್ದ ಅರಸನನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದು, ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿ, ತಲೆಯನ್ನು ಕತ್ತರಿಸಿ, ಅದನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು, ರಾತ್ರಿಯೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅರಾಬಾ ತಗ್ಗಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಮಾಡಿ,

8 ೮ ಹೆಬ್ರೋನಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಅರಸನಾದ ದಾವೀದನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು, ಆ ತಲೆಯನ್ನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ತೋರಿಸಿ, “ಇಗೋ ನಿನ್ನ ಜೀವತೆಗೆಯಬೇಕೆಂದಿದ್ದ ನಿನ್ನ ಶತ್ರುವಾದ ಸೌಲನ ಮಗ ಈಷ್ಬೋಶೆತನ ತಲೆ. ಅರಸನಾದ ನಮ್ಮ ಒಡೆಯನಿಗಾಗಿ ಸೌಲನಿಗೂ ಅವನ ಸಂತಾನಕ್ಕೂ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ಮುಯ್ಯಿ ತೀರಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ” ಅಂದನು.

9 ೯ ದಾವೀದನು ಬೇರೋತಿನ ರಿಮ್ಮೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಾದ ರೇಕಾಬ್, ಬಾಣರಿಗೆ,

and to answer David [obj] Rechab and [obj] Baanah brother: male-sibling his son: child Rimmon [the] Beerothite and to say to/for them alive LORD which to ransom [obj] soul: life my from all distress

10 ೧೦ “ಸೌಲನ ಮರಣವಾರ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸುವುದು ಶುಭಕರವೆಂದು ಭಾವಿಸಿ ಬಂದು, ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದವನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಚಿಕ್ಲಗಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮರಣದಂಡನೆಯೆಂಬ ಬಹುಮಾನವನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದೆನಲ್ಲವೋ?

11 ೧೧ ಮಹಾ ದುಷ್ಟರಾದ ನೀವು ನೀತಿವಂತನ ಮನೆಯೊಳಗೆ ನುಗ್ಗಿ, ಅವನನ್ನು ಅವನ ಮಂಚದ ಮೇಲೆಯೇ ಕೊಂದು ಹಾಕಿದ ಮೇಲೆ, ಆ ರಕ್ತಾಪರಾಧಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ಮುಯ್ಯಿ ತೀರಿಸುವುದು ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಅಗತ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ. ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟುಗಳಿಂದ ಬಿಡಿಸಿದ ಯೆಹೋವನಾಣೆ, ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಭೂಲೋಕದಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದು ಬಿಡುವೆನು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ,

12 ೧೨ ತನ್ನ ಆಳುಗಳಿಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಲು ಅವರು ಇವರನ್ನು ಕೊಂದು, ಕೈಕಾಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಕತ್ತರಿಸಿ, ಶವಗಳನ್ನು ಹೆಬ್ರೋನಿನ ಕೆರೆಯ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೇತುಹಾಕಿದರು. ಈಷ್ಬೋಶೆತನ ತಲೆಯನ್ನು ಹೆಬ್ರೋನಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಅಬ್ನೇರನ ಸಮಾಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೂಳಿಟ್ಟರು.
