ಅರಸುಗಳು - ದ್ವಿತೀಯ ಭಾಗ 21
1 ೧ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯು ಅರಸನಾದಾಗ ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ವರ್ಷದವನಾಗಿದ್ದು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಐವತ್ತೈದು ವರ್ಷ ಆಳಿದನು. ಅವನ ತಾಯಿಯ ಹೆಸರು ಹೆಫ್ಚಿಬಾ.
Twelve years old was Menasseh when he became king, and fifty and five years did he reign in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Chephzi-bah.
2 ೨ ಅವನು ಯೆಹೋವನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ರಾಜ್ಯದಿಂದ ಅನ್ಯಜನಾಂಗಗಳ ಅಸಹ್ಯಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಅವನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಿ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಚಿತ್ತಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ನಡೆದನು.
And he did what is evil in the eyes of the Lord, after the abominable acts of the nations whom the Lord had driven out before the children of Israel.
3 ೩ ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನು ತೆಗೆದು ಹಾಕಿದ ಪೂಜಾಸ್ಥಳಗಳನ್ನು ತಿರುಗಿ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಅರಸನಾದ ಅಹಾಬನಂತೆ ಬಾಳದೇವತೆಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿ ಅಶೇರ ವಿಗ್ರಹ ಸ್ತಂಭಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿ ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಮಂಡಲಕ್ಕೆ ಕೈಮುಗಿದು ಆರಾಧಿಸಿದನು.
And he built up again the high-places which Hezekiah his father had destroyed; and he reared up altars for Ba'al, and made a grove, as Achab the king of Israel had done; and he bowed down to all the host of heaven, and served them.
4 ೪ ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ, “ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸುವೆನು” ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವನು ಯಾವುದನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದನೋ, ಆ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯು ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿದನು.
And he built altars in the house of the Lord, of which the Lord had said, In Jerusalem will I put my name.
And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the Lord.
6 ೬ ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಸ್ವಂತ ಮಗನನ್ನೇ ಆಹುತಿಕೊಟ್ಟನು. ಕಣಿಕೇಳಿಸುವುದು, ಮಾಟಮಂತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಸುವುದು, ಜೋತಿಷ್ಯ, ಮುಹೂರ್ತಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡುವುದು ಮತ್ತು ಭೂತಪ್ರೇತಗಳನ್ನೂ ವಿಚಾರಿಸುವುದು, ಇವೇ ಮೊದಲಾದ ದುಷ್ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳಿಂದ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಕೋಪವನ್ನು ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿದನು.
And he caused his son to pass through the fire, and observed times, and used enchantments, and dealt with familiar spirits and wizards: he wrought much that is evil in the eyes of the Lord, to provoke him to anger.
7 ೭ ತಾನು ಮಾಡಿಸಿದ ಅಶೇರ ವಿಗ್ರಹಸ್ತಂಭವನ್ನು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಡಿಸಿದನು. ಯೆಹೋವನು ಆ ಆಲಯದ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ದಾವೀದನಿಗೂ ಮತ್ತು ಅವನ ಮಗನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗೂ, “ಈ ಆಲಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಸಕಲ ಗೋತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ನಾನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನನ್ನ ನಾಮವನ್ನು ಯುಗಯುಗಕ್ಕೂ ಇರುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವೆನು
And he set a hewn image of the Asherah that he had made in the house, of which the Lord had said to David, and to Solomon his son, In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all tribes of Israel, will I put my name for ever:
8 ೮ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ತಮಗೆ ಮೋಶೆಯ ಮುಖಾಂತರವಾಗಿ ಕೊಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಧರ್ಮಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದ ನಿಯಮ ನಿಬಂಧನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಿ, ನಡೆಯುವುದಾದರೆ, ನನ್ನ ನಾಮ ಮಹತ್ತು ಈ ದೇವಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಊರುಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ನನಗೆ ಇಷ್ಟವಾಗಿರುವ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸದಾಕಾಲ ಇರುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವೆನು, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ಇನ್ನು ಮುಂದೆ ದೇಶಭ್ರಷ್ಟರಾಗಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡದೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರಿಗೆ ಕೊಡಲಾದ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ವಾಸವಾಗಿರುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವೆನು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
And I will not cause any more the foot of Israel to move out of the land which I gave their fathers; only if they will observe to act in accordance with all that I have commanded them, and in accordance with all the law that my servant Moses commanded them.
9 ೯ ಆದರೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ಆತನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳದೆ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯಿಂದ ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿತರಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಮುಂದೆಯೇ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಂದ ಸಂಹೃತವಾದ ಅನ್ಯಜನಾಂಗಗಳಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ದುಷ್ಟರಾದರು.
But they hearkened not: and Menasseh seduced them to do what is evil more than the nations whom the Lord had destroyed before the children of Israel.
And the Lord spoke by means of his servants the prophets, saying,
11 ೧೧ “ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಅರಸನಾದ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯು ಮೊದಲು ಇದ್ದ ಅಮೋರಿಯರ ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ಅಸಹ್ಯವಾದ ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ನಡಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದಲೂ, ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳನ್ನು ಪೂಜಿಸಲು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದಲೂ,
Forasmuch as Menasseh the king of Judah hath done these abominations, having done wickedly more than all that the Emorites had done, who were before him, and hath induced Judah also to sin with his idols:
12 ೧೨ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನೆಂಬ ನಾನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನವರ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ, ಯೆಹೂದದವರ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಕೇಡನ್ನು ಬರಮಾಡುವೆನು. ಅದನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವವರ ಎರಡು ಕಿವಿಗಳು ಬಿರಿದು ಹೋಗುವವು.
Therefore thus hath said the Lord the God of Israel, Behold, I will bring evil upon Jerusalem and Judah, at which both the ears of every one that heareth it shall tingle.
13 ೧೩ ನೂಲು ಮಟ್ಟಗೋಲು ಇವುಗಳಿಂದಲೋ ಎಂಬಂತೆ ಸಮಾರ್ಯವನ್ನೂ, ಅಹಾಬನ ಮನೆಯನ್ನೂ ನೆಲಸಮಮಾಡಿದಂತೆ, ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮನ್ನೂ ಅದರಂತೆಯೇ ಮಾಡುವೆನು. ಒಬ್ಬನು ಪಾತ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ಒರಸಿ ಬೋರಲು ಹಾಕುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನಾನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮನ್ನು ಒರಸಿ ಬೋರಲು ಹಾಕುವೆನು.
And I will stretch over Jerusalem the measure-line of Samaria, and the plummet of the house of Achab: and I will wipe off Jerusalem as one wipeth off a dish, wiping it, and turning it on its face.
14 ೧೪ ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿದಿರುವವರನ್ನು ಶತ್ರುಗಳ ಕೈಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸುವೆನು. ಅವರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಶತ್ರುಗಳು ಬಂದು ಅವರ ಸ್ವತ್ತನ್ನು ಸುಲಿದು ಸೂರೆಮಾಡುವರು.
And I will forsake the remnant of my inheritance, and give them up into the hand of their enemies; and they shall become a prey and a spoil to all their enemies;
15 ೧೫ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಂದರೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಪಾಪಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಡದೆ ಇಂದಿನವರೆಗೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಪಾಪಗಳಿಂದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ರೇಗಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದದ್ದೇ ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿಸಿದನು.
Forasmuch as they have done what is evil in my eyes, and have been provoking me to anger, from the day that their fathers came forth out of Egypt, even until this day.
16 ೧೬ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರನ್ನು ಯೆಹೋವನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಲು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಿದ್ದಲ್ಲದೆ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಿರಪರಾಧಿಗಳ ರಕ್ತದಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿಸಿದನು.
And also innocent blood did Menasseh shed in very great abundance, till he had filled [therewith] Jerusalem from one end to another; beside his sin wherewith he induced Judah to sin, to do what is evil in the eyes of the Lord.
17 ೧೭ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯ ಉಳಿದ ಚರಿತ್ರೆಯೂ ಅವನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳೂ, ಅವನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಪಾಪಕೃತ್ಯಗಳೂ ಯೆಹೂದ ರಾಜಕಾಲವೃತ್ತಾಂತ ಎಂಬ ಗ್ರಂಥದಲ್ಲಿ ಲಿಖಿತವಾಗಿದೆ.
Now the rest of the acts of Menasseh, and all that he did, and his sin that he committed, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah.
18 ೧೮ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯು ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರಲು ಅವನ ಶವವನ್ನು ಅವನ ಅರಮನೆಯಿರುವ ಉಜ್ಜನ ವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮಾಧಿಮಾಡಿದರು. ಅವನಿಗೆ ನಂತರ ಅವನ ಮಗನಾದ ಆಮೋನನು ಅರಸನಾದನು.
And Menasseh slept with his fathers, and was buried in the garden of his own house, in the garden of 'Uzza: and Amon his son became king in his stead.
19 ೧೯ ಆಮೋನನು ಅರಸನಾದಾಗ ಅವನು ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತೆರಡು ವರ್ಷದವನಾಗಿದ್ದನು. ಅವನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಆಳಿದನು. ಯೊಟ್ಬಾ ಊರಿನವಳೂ ಹಾರೂಚನ ಮಗಳೂ ಆದ ಮೆಷುಲ್ಲೆಮೆತ್ ಎಂಬಾಕೆಯು ಅವನ ತಾಯಿ.
Twenty and two years old was Amon when he became king, and two years did he reign in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Meshullemeth, the daughter of Charuz of Yotbah.
And he did what is evil in the eyes of the Lord, as his father Menasseh had done.
And he walked in all the way that his father had walked in, and served the idols that his father had served, and bowed himself down to them;
22 ೨೨ ತನ್ನ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನನ್ನೂ ಆರಾಧಿಸದೆ, ಆತನಿಗೆ ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಗೆಯಾಗುವಂತೆ ನಡೆಯುವ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನೂ ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಟ್ಟನು.
And he forsook the Lord the God of his fathers, and walked not in the way of the Lord.
And the servants of Amon conspired against him, and put the king to death in his own house.
And the people of the land slew all those that had conspired against king Amon; and the people of the land made Josiah his son king in his stead.
Now the rest of the acts of Amon which he did, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah.
26 ೨೬ ಆಮೋನನ ಶವವನ್ನು ಉಜ್ಜನ ವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮಾಧಿಮಾಡಿದರು. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನು ಮೊದಲೇ ತನಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಒಂದು ಸಮಾಧಿಯನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಪಡಿಸಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದನು.
And they buried him in his sepulchre in the garden of 'Uzza: and Josiah his son became king in his stead.
