ಅರಸುಗಳು - ದ್ವಿತೀಯ ಭಾಗ 12
1 ೧ ಯೆಹೋವಾಷನು ಯೇಹುವಿನ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಯ ಏಳನೆಯ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಸನಾಗಿ, ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಲ್ವತ್ತು ವರ್ಷ ಆಳಿದನು. ಬೇರ್ಷೆಬದವಳಾದ ಚಿಬ್ಯಳು ಇವನ ತಾಯಿ.
Joas began to reign in the seventh year of Ju, and he reigned forty years in Jerusalem: and his mother's name [was] Sabia of Bersabee.
2 ೨ ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಯಾದಾವನು ಯೆಹೋವಾಷನಿಗೆ ಬೋಧಕನಾಗಿದ್ದ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನು ಯೆಹೋವನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯವನಾಗಿಯೇ ನಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.
And Joas did that which was right in the sight of the Lord all the days that Jodae the priest instructed him.
3 ೩ ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ಪೂಜಾಸ್ಥಳಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಲಿಲ್ಲವಾದುದರಿಂದ ಜನರು ಅವುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆಯೇ ಯಜ್ಞಧೂಪಗಳನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
Only there were not [any] of the high places removed, and the people still sacrificed there, and burned incense on the high places.
4 ೪ ಯೆಹೋವಾಷನು ಯಾಜಕರಿಗೆ, “ನೀವು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ದ್ರವ್ಯವನ್ನು ಅಂದರೆ ಜನಗಣತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಲೆಕ್ಕಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನೂ ತಂದುಕೊಡುವ ಹಣ, ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿತನಾದ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ತರುವ ಹಣ, ಜನರು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ವೇಚ್ಛೆಯಿಂದ ತಂದೊಪ್ಪಿಸುವ ಹಣ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು,
And Joas said to the priests, [As for] all the money of the holy things that is brought into the house of the Lord, the money of valuation, [as] each man brings the money of valuation, all the money which any man may feel disposed to bring into the house of the Lord,
5 ೫ ದೇವಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಎಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಿ ದುರಸ್ತಿಯಾಗಬೇಕೆಂಬುದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಸರಿಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸಿರಿ, ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನೂ ತನ್ನ ತನ್ನ ಪರಿಚಿತರಿಂದಲೇ ಹಣವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು” ಎಂದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದನು.
let the priests take it to themselves, every man from [the proceeds of] his sale: and they shall repair the breaches of the house in all [places] wherever a breach shall be found.
And it came to pass in the twenty-third year of king Joas the priests [had] not repaired the breaches of the house.
7 ೭ ಆದುದರಿಂದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವಾಷನು ಯೆಹೋಯಾದಾವ, ಮೊದಲಾದ ಯಾಜಕರನ್ನು ಕರೆದು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನೀವು ಈ ವರೆಗೂ ದೇವಾಲಯವನ್ನೇಕೆ ದುರಸ್ತಿ ಮಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲ? ಇನ್ನು ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪರಿಚಿತರಿಂದ ಹಣವನ್ನು ವಸೂಲಿಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ನಿಮ್ಮಲಿರುವ ಹಣದಿಂದ ದೇವಾಲಯದ ದುರಸ್ತಿಗಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿರಿ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
And king Joas called Jodae the priest, and the [other] priests, and said to them, Why have you not repaired the breaches of the house? now then receive no [more] money from your sales, for you shall give it to [repair the] breaches of the house.
8 ೮ ಆಗ ಯಾಜಕರು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನಾವು ಇನ್ನು ಮುಂದೆ ಜನರಿಂದ ಹಣ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ದೇವಾಲಯದ ದುರಸ್ತಿಗಾಗಿ ಕೈಹಾಕುವುದಿಲ್ಲ” ಎಂಬುದಾಗಿ ಮಾತುಕೊಟ್ಟರು.
And the priests consented to receive no more money of the people, and not to repair the breaches of the house.
9 ೯ ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಯಾದಾವನು ಒಂದು ಪೆಟ್ಟಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದು ಅದರ ಮುಚ್ಚಳದಲ್ಲಿ ತೂತು ಮಾಡಿ, ಅದನ್ನು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆಲಯದ ಬಾಗಿಲಿನ ಬಲಗಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಯ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಇಟ್ಟನು. ದ್ವಾರಪಾಲಕರಾದ ಯಾಜಕರು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ತರಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಹಣವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅದರಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಹಾಕಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
And Jodae the priest took a chest, and bored a hole in the lid of it, and set it by the altar in the house of a man [belonging to] the house of the Lord, and the priests that kept the door put [therein] all the money that was found in the house of the Lord.
10 ೧೦ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆಲಯದ ಪೆಟ್ಟಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇಕಾದಷ್ಟು ಹಣ ಇದೆಯೆಂದು ಕಂಡು ಬಂದಾಗೆಲ್ಲಾ, ರಾಜಲೇಖಕನೂ, ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕನೂ ಬಂದು ಅದನ್ನು ಎಣಿಸಿ ಚೀಲಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಟ್ಟಿ ಇಡುವರು.
And it came to pass, when they saw that [there was] much money in the chest, that the king's scribe and the high priest went up, and they tied up and counted the money that was found in the house of the Lord.
11 ೧೧ ಅವರು ತೂಕಮಾಡಿ ಎಣಿಸಿದ ಹಣವನ್ನು, ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆಲಯದ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ನಡಿಸುವ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸುವರು. ಅವರು ಅದನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುವ ಬಡಗಿ, ಶಿಲ್ಪಿ, ಮೇಸ್ತ್ರಿ, ಕಲ್ಲುಕುಟಿಕ ಇವರ ಸಂಬಳಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೂ.
And they gave the money that had been collected into the hands of them that wrought the works, the overseers of the house of the Lord; and they gave it out to the carpenters and to the builders that wrought in the house of the Lord.
12 ೧೨ ಮರ, ಕೆತ್ತಿದ ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೂ, ಆಲಯವನ್ನು ದುರಸ್ತಿ ಮಾಡಲು ಬೇಕಾದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವೆಚ್ಚಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೂ ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸಿದರು.
And to the masons, and to the hewers of stone, to purchase timber and hewn stone to repair the breaches of the house of the Lord, for all that was spent on the house of the Lord to repair [it].
13 ೧೩ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆಲಯದೊಳಗೆ ತಂದ ಹಣದಿಂದ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯ ಬಟ್ಟಲುಗಳನ್ನು, ಕತ್ತರಿಗಳನ್ನು, ಬೋಗುಣಿಗಳನ್ನು, ತುತ್ತೂರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ಬಂಗಾರದ ಪಾತ್ರೆ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸುತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
Only there were not to be made for the house of the Lord silver plates, studs, bowls, or trumpets, any vessel of gold or vessel of silver, of the money that was brought into the house of the Lord:
for they were to give it to the workmen, and they repaired therewith the house of the Lord.
15 ೧೫ ಕೆಲಸಗಾರರಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಳಕೊಡುವ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರು ನಂಬಿಗಸ್ತರಾಗಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರ ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಹಣದ ಲೆಕ್ಕವನ್ನು ಯಾರೂ ಕೇಳುತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
Also they took no account of the men into whose hands they gave the money to give to the workmen, for they acted faithfully.
16 ೧೬ ಅಪರಾಧ ಪ್ರಾಯಶ್ಚಿತ್ತಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೂ, ದೋಷಪರಿಹಾರಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೂ ತರಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಹಣವು ಯಾಜಕರ ಪಾಲಿಗೆ ಸೇರುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಅದು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರುತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
Money for a sin-offering, and money for a trespass-offering, whatever happened to be brought into the house of the Lord, went to the priests.
17 ೧೭ ಇದೇ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಾಮ್ಯರ ಅರಸನಾದ ಹಜಾಯೇಲನು ಬಂದು ಗತ್ ಊರಿಗೆ ಮುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಹಾಕಿ, ಅದನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನು. ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಅವನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಹೊರಟನು.
Then went up Azael king of Syria, and fought against Geth, and took it: and Azael set his face to go against Jerusalem.
18 ೧೮ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವಾಷನು ಇದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ತಾನೂ ತನ್ನ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರಾದ ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನೂ, ಯೆಹೋರಾಮನೂ, ಅಹಜ್ಯನೂ, ಯೆಹೂದ ರಾಜರೂ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯಾಗಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಒಡವೆಗಳು, ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆಲಯದ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠೆಗಾಗಿ ಅರಮನೆಯ ಭಂಡಾರಗಳಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಬಂಗಾರ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಅರಾಮ್ಯರ ಅರಸನಾದ ಹಜಾಯೇಲನಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು. ಆಗ ಅವನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೋದನು.
And Joas king of Juda took all the holy things which Josaphat, and Joram, Ochozias, his fathers, and kings of Juda [had] consecrated, and what he had himself dedicated, and all the gold that was found in the treasures of the Lord's house and the king's house, and he sent [them] to Azael king of Syria; and he went up from Jerusalem.
And the rest of the acts of Joas, and all that he did, behold, [are] not these things written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Juda?
20 ೨೦ ಯೆಹೋವಾಷನ ಉದ್ಯೋಗಸ್ಥರು ಅವನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಒಳಸಂಚು ಮಾಡಿ “ಸಿಲ್ಲಾ” ಊರಿಗೆ ಇಳಿದು ಹೋಗುವ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾದ “ಮಿಲ್ಲೋ” ಗೃಹದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೋವಾಷನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದರು.
And his servants rose up and made a conspiracy, and struck Joas in the house of Mallo that is in Sela.
21 ೨೧ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಶಿಮೆಯಾತನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೋಜಾಕಾರ್, ಶೋಮೆರನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಜಾಬಾದ್ ಎಂಬುವವರು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿದ್ದು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದರು. ಅವನ ಜನರು ಅವನ ಶವವನ್ನು ದಾವೀದ ನಗರದೊಳಗೆ ಅವನ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರ ಸ್ಮಶಾನ ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮಾಧಿಮಾಡಿದರು. ಅವನಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಅವನ ಮಗನಾದ ಅಮಚ್ಯನು ಅರಸನಾದನು.
And Jezirchar the son of Jemuath, and Jezabuth Somer's son, his servants, struck him, and he died; and they buried him with his fathers in the city of David: and Amessias his son reigned in his stead.
