ತಿಮೊಥೆಯನಿಗೆ ಬರೆದ ಮೊದಲನೆಯ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆ 6
1 ೧ ದಾಸತ್ವ ನೊಗದ ಅಧೀನದಲ್ಲಿರುವವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಯಜಮಾನರನ್ನು ಪೂರ್ಣ ಗೌರವಕ್ಕೂ ಯೋಗ್ಯರೆಂದೆಣಿಸಲಿ, ಇಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ ದೇವರ ನಾಮಕ್ಕೂ ನಾವು ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಉಪದೇಶಕ್ಕೂ ನಿಂದನೆ ಉಂಟಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
Let as many as are servants under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God and the doctrine be not blasphemed.
2 ೨ ಯಾರಿಗಾದರೂ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನನ್ನು ನಂಬುವವರಾದ ಯಜಮಾನರಿದ್ದರೆ, ಅವರು ಆ ಯಜಮಾನರನ್ನು ಸಹೋದರರೆಂದು ಉದಾಸೀನಮಾಡದೆ, ತಮ್ಮ ಸೇವೆಯ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುವವರು, ನಂಬಿಗಸ್ತರು, ಪ್ರಿಯರೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾರೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಇನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾದ ಸಂತೋಷದಿಂದಲೇ ಸೇವೆಮಾಡಬೇಕು. ಈ ಉಪದೇಶವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಎಚ್ಚರಿಸು.
And they that have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren; but let them serve them the rather, because they that partake of the benefit are believing and beloved. These things teach and exhort.
3 ೩ ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ಭಿನ್ನವಾದ ಉಪದೇಶವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ಸ್ವಸ್ಥವಾದ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಗೂ, ಭಕ್ತಾನುಸಾರವಾದ ಉಪದೇಶಗಳಿಗೂ ಸಮ್ಮತಿಸದೆ ಹೋದರೆ,
If any man teacheth a different doctrine, and consenteth not to sound words, [even] the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;
4 ೪ ಅವನು ಅಹಂಭಾವಿಯೂ ಅಜ್ಞಾನಿಯೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದು, ನಿಂದನೆ ವಾಗ್ವಾದಗಳನ್ನುಂಟು ಮಾಡುವ ಭ್ರಾಂತಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಇವುಗಳಿಂದ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆಕಿಚ್ಚು, ಜಗಳ, ದೂಷಣೆ, ದುಸ್ಸಂಶಯ ಮುಂತಾದವುಗಳು ಉಂಟಾಗುತ್ತವೆ.
he is puffed up, knowing nothing, but doting about questionings and disputes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,
5 ೫ ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಬುದ್ಧಿಗೆಟ್ಟು ಸತ್ಯವಿಹೀನರಾಗಿದ್ದು ದೇವಭಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಲಾಭಸಾಧನವೆಂದೆಣಿಸುವ ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ನಿತ್ಯವಾದ ಕಚ್ಚಾಟಗಳು ಉಂಟಾಗುತ್ತವೆ.
wranglings of men corrupted in mind and bereft of the truth, supposing that godliness is a way of gain.
But godliness with contentment is great gain:
for we brought nothing into the world, for neither can we carry anything out;
but having food and covering we shall be therewith content.
9 ೯ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವಂತರಾಗಬೇಕೆಂದು ಮನಸ್ಸುಮಾಡುವವರು ದುಷ್ಟ್ರೇರಣೆಯೆಂಬ ಬಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಕೊಂಡು, ಬುದ್ಧಿಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿಯೂ ಹಾನಿಕರವಾಗಿಯೂ ಇರುವ ಅನೇಕ ಆಸೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬೀಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಇಂಥ ಆಸೆಗಳು ಮನುಷ್ಯರನ್ನು ಸಂಹಾರ ವಿನಾಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಸುತ್ತವೆ.
But they that desire to be rich fall into a temptation and a snare and many foolish and hurtful lusts, such as drown men in destruction and perdition.
10 ೧೦ ಹಣದಾಸೆಯು ಸಕಲವಿಧವಾದ ಕೆಟ್ಟತನಕ್ಕೆ ಮೂಲವಾಗಿದೆ. ಕೆಲವರು ಅದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಆತುರಪಟ್ಟು, ಅದರಿಂದ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು, ಅಲೆದಾಡಿ ಅನೇಕ ವೇದನೆಗಳಿಂದ ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತಿವಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil: which some reaching after have been led astray from the faith, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
11 ೧೧ ಎಲೈ, ದೇವರ ಮನುಷ್ಯನೇ, ನೀನಾದರೋ ಇವುಗಳಿಗೆ ದೂರವಾಗಿರು. ನೀತಿ, ಭಕ್ತಿ, ನಂಬಿಕೆ, ಪ್ರೀತಿ, ಸ್ಥಿರಚಿತ್ತ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಾತ್ವಿಕತ್ವ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಪಾದಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಯಾಸಪಡು.
But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
12 ೧೨ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಹೋರಾಟವನ್ನು ಮಾಡು, ನಿತ್ಯಜೀವವನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದುಕೋ. ಅದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನೀನು ದೇವರಿಂದ ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದಿ ಮತ್ತು ನೀನು ಅನೇಕ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಗಳ ಮುಂದೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಪ್ರತಿಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದಿಯಲ್ಲಾ. (aiōnios g166)
Fight the good fight of the faith, lay hold on the life eternal, whereunto thou wast called, and didst confess the good confession in the sight of many witnesses. (aiōnios g166)
13 ೧೩ ಸರ್ವ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಗೆ ಜೀವಾಧಾರಕನಾದ ದೇವರ ಮುಂದೆಯೂ, ಪೊಂತ್ಯ ಪಿಲಾತನ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಪ್ರತಿಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ತಾನೇ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿದ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಮುಂದೆಯೂ ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸುವುದೇನಂದರೆ,
I charge thee in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and of Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed the good confession;
14 ೧೪ ನಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯ ತನಕ ನೀನು ಈ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ನಿಷ್ಕಳಂಕವಾಗಿಯೂ ನಿಂದಾರಹಿತವಾಗಿಯೂ ಕಾಪಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿರಬೇಕು.
that thou keep the commandment, without spot, without reproach, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:
15 ೧೫ ಭಾಗ್ಯವಂತನಾದ ಏಕಾಧಿಪತಿಯು ತಾನು ನಿಗದಿಪಡಿಸಿರುವ ಸೂಕ್ತ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲೇ ಆತನನ್ನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷಪಡಿಸುವನು. ಆ ಏಕಾಧಿಪತಿಯು, ರಾಜಾಧಿರಾಜನೂ, ಕರ್ತಾಧಿಕರ್ತನೂ,
which in its own times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;
16 ೧೬ ತಾನೊಬ್ಬನೇ ಅಮರತ್ವವುಳ್ಳವನೂ ಅಗಮ್ಯವಾದ ಬೆಳಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡುವವನೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಮನುಷ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರೂ ಆತನನ್ನು ಕಾಣಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಯಾರೂ ಕಾಣಲಾರರು. ಆತನಿಗೆ ಮಾನವೂ ನಿತ್ಯಾಧಿಪತ್ಯವೂ ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗೂ ಇರಲಿ. ಆಮೆನ್. (aiōnios g166)
who only hath immortality, dwelling in light unapproachable; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom [be] honour and power eternal. Amen. (aiōnios g166)
17 ೧೭ ಇಹಲೋಕ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವುಳ್ಳವರು ಅಹಂಕಾರಿಗಳಾಗಿರದೆ, ಅಸ್ಥಿರವಾದ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನಿಡದೆ, ನಮ್ಮ ಅನುಭೋಗಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ನಮಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ಹೇರಳವಾಗಿ ದಯಪಾಲಿಸುವ ದೇವರ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನಿಡಬೇಕು. (aiōn g165)
Charge them that are rich in this present world, that they be not highminded, nor have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; (aiōn g165)
18 ೧೮ ವಾಸ್ತವವಾದ ಜೀವವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುವುದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಅವರು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವವರೂ, ಸತ್ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವುದರಲ್ಲಿ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವಂತರೂ, ಉದಾರಶೀಲರೂ, ಪರೋಪಕಾರಮಾಡುವವರೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದು, ಮುಂದಿನ ಕಾಲಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆ ಅಸ್ತಿವಾರವಾಗುವಂಥವುಗಳನ್ನು ತಮಗೆ ಕೂಡಿಸಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸು.
that they do good, that they be rich in good works, that they be ready to distribute, willing to communicate;
19 ೧೯
laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on the life which is [life] indeed.
20 ೨೦ ಎಲೈ ತಿಮೊಥೆಯನೇ, ಜ್ಞಾನೋಪದೇಶವೆಂದು ಸುಳ್ಳಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಬೋಧನೆಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟ, ಪ್ರಾಪಂಚಿಕವಾದ ಆ ಹರಟೆ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಗೂ, ವಿವಾದಗಳಿಗೂ ನೀನು ದೂರವಾಗಿದ್ದು ನಿನ್ನ ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಿಕೋ.
O Timothy, guard that which is committed unto [thee], turning away from the profane babblings and oppositions of the knowledge which is falsely so called;
21 ೨೧ ಕೆಲವರು ಆ ಸುಳ್ಳಾದ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಂಡು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಭ್ರಷ್ಟರಾಗಿ ಹೋದರು. ಕೃಪೆಯು ನಿಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗಿರಲಿ.
which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with you.
