ಅರಸುಗಳು - ಪ್ರಥಮ ಭಾಗ 5
1 ೧ ದಾವೀದನ ಜೀವಮಾನದಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವನ ಮಿತ್ರನಾಗಿದ್ದ ತೂರಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ಹೀರಾಮನು ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಅವನ ತಂದೆಯ ನಂತರ ಅಭಿಷೇಕಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟನು ಎಂಬುದಾಗಿ ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ, ಅವನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು.
Hiram king of Tyre sent his servants to Solomon, for he had heard that they had anointed him king in the place of his father, and Hiram had always loved David.
Solomon sent to Hiram, saying,
3 ೩ “ಯೆಹೋವನ ಅನುಗ್ರಹದಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಶತ್ರುಗಳು ವಶವಾಗುವವರೆಗೆ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಯುದ್ಧಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಬೇಕಾಯಿತು. ಆದುದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಹೆಸರಿಗೆ ಆಲಯವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಲಾರದೆ ಹೋದನೆಂದು ನೀನು ಬಲ್ಲೇ.
“You know that David my father could not build a house for the name of the LORD his God because of the wars which were around him on every side, until the LORD put his enemies under the soles of his feet.
4 ೪ ನನಗಾದರೋ ನನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಡೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸಮಾಧಾನವನ್ನು ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ನನ್ನನ್ನು ವಿರೋಧಿಸುವವನು ಒಬ್ಬನೂ ಇಲ್ಲ, ಆತನ ದಯೆಯಿಂದ ಆಪತ್ತು ನನ್ನಿಂದ ದೂರವಾಗಿದೆ.
But now the LORD my God has given me rest on every side. There is no enemy and no evil occurrence.
5 ೫ ಯೆಹೋವನು ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ, ‘ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳ್ಳಿರಿಸುವ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಗನು ನನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಆಲಯವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಲಿ’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಹೆಸರಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಅಲಯವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಬೇಕೆಂದಿದ್ದೇನೆ,
Behold, I intend to build a house for the name of the LORD my God, as the LORD spoke to David my father, saying, ‘Your son, whom I will set on your throne in your place shall build the house for my name.’
6 ೬ ಆದುದರಿಂದ ನೀನು ನನಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಲೆಬನೋನಿನ ದೇವದಾರು ವೃಕ್ಷಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಯ್ಯಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಿನ್ನ ಆಳುಗಳಿಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸು, ಅವರ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ಆಳುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕಳುಹಿಸುವೆನು. ಮತ್ತು ನಿನ್ನ ಆಳುಗಳಿಗೆ ನೀನು ಹೇಳುವಷ್ಟು ಸಂಬಳವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಚೀದೋನ್ಯರಂತೆ ಮರಕೊಯ್ಯುವುದರಲ್ಲಿ ಜಾಣರು ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ನಿನಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಿದೆಯಲ್ಲಾ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
Now therefore command that cedar trees be cut for me out of Lebanon. My servants will be with your servants; and I will give you wages for your servants according to all that you say. For you know that there is nobody among us who knows how to cut timber like the Sidonians.”
7 ೭ ಹೀರಾಮನು ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟು, “ಈ ಮಹಾ ಜನಾಂಗವನ್ನು ಆಳುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ಒಬ್ಬ ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತನಾದ ಮಗನನ್ನು ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಈಗ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರವಾಗಲಿ” ಎಂದು ನುಡಿದನು.
When Hiram heard the words of Solomon, he rejoiced greatly, and said, “Blessed is the LORD today, who has given to David a wise son to rule over this great people.”
8 ೮ ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವನು ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗೆ, “ನೀನು ಹೇಳಿಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದೆನು. ದೇವದಾರು ವೃಕ್ಷಗಳನ್ನೂ, ತುರಾಯಿ ಮರಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕುರಿತು ನಿನ್ನ ಅಪೇಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸುವೆನು.
Hiram sent to Solomon, saying, “I have heard the message which you have sent to me. I will do all your desire concerning timber of cedar, and concerning cypress timber.
9 ೯ ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಲೆಬನೋನಿನಿಂದ ಸಮುದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವರು. ನಾನು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಪ್ಪವನ್ನಾಗಿ ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿ, ಸಮುದ್ರ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ನೀನು ನೇಮಿಸುವ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಚ್ಚಿಸಿಕೊಡುವೆನು. ನೀನು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ನನ್ನ ಮನೆಯವರಿಗೆ ಆಹಾರ ಪದಾರ್ಥಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಡಬೇಕೆಂಬುದೇ ನನ್ನ ಅಪೇಕ್ಷೆಯಾಗಿದೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು.
My servants will bring them down from Lebanon to the sea. I will make them into rafts to go by sea to the place that you specify to me, and will cause them to be broken up there, and you will receive them. You will accomplish my desire, in giving food for my household.”
So Hiram gave Solomon cedar timber and cypress timber according to all his desire.
11 ೧೧ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಾದರೋ ಪ್ರತಿ ವರ್ಷ ಅವನ ಮನೆಯವರ ಆಹಾರಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರ ಕೋರ್ ಗೋದಿಯನ್ನೂ, ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಕೋರ್ ನಿರ್ಮಲವಾದ ಎಣ್ಣೆಯನ್ನೂ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.
Solomon gave Hiram twenty thousand cors of wheat for food to his household, and twenty cors of pure oil. Solomon gave this to Hiram year by year.
12 ೧೨ ಯೆಹೋವನು ತಾನು ವಾಗ್ದಾನ ಮಾಡಿದಂತೆ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗೆ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದನು. ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗೂ ಹೀರಾಮನಿಗೂ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಸಂಬಂಧವಿತ್ತು, ಅವರಿಬ್ಬರು ಪರಸ್ಪರವಾಗಿ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು.
The LORD gave Solomon wisdom, as he promised him. There was peace between Hiram and Solomon, and the two of them made a treaty together.
King Solomon raised a levy out of all Israel; and the levy was thirty thousand men.
14 ೧೪ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಂಗಳಿಗೆ ಹತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರ ಜನರಂತೆ ಪ್ರತಿತಿಂಗಳು ಲೆಬನೋನಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು. ಅವರು ಒಂದು ತಿಂಗಳು ಲೆಬನೋನಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರೆ ಎರಡು ತಿಂಗಳು ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಅದೋನೀರಾಮನು ಇವರ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥನಾಗಿದ್ದನು.
He sent them to Lebanon, ten thousand a month by courses: for a month they were in Lebanon, and two months at home; and Adoniram was over the men subject to forced labor.
15 ೧೫ ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗೆ ಎಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರ ಜನರು ಹೊರೆ ಹೊರುವವರೂ, ಎಂಭತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರ ಜನರು ಕಲ್ಲುಗಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುವವರೂ ಇದ್ದರು.
Solomon had seventy thousand who bore burdens, and eighty thousand who were stone cutters in the mountains,
besides Solomon’s chief officers who were over the work: three thousand three hundred who ruled over the people who labored in the work.
17 ೧೭ ಕೆತ್ತಿದ ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳಿಂದ ಹಾಕಬೇಕಾದ ದೇವಾಲಯದ ಅಸ್ತಿವಾರಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಆಳುಗಳು ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಯಂತೆ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠವಾದ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೆತ್ತುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
The king commanded, and they cut out large stones, costly stones, to lay the foundation of the house with worked stone.
18 ೧೮ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಮತ್ತು ಹೀರಾಮನ ಶಿಲ್ಪಿಗಳೂ ಹಾಗು ಗೆಬಾಲ್ಯರೂ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೆತ್ತುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ದೇವಾಲಯ ಕಟ್ಟುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬೇಕಾಗುವ ಕಲ್ಲು ಮತ್ತು ಮರಗಳನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಪಡಿಸಿದರೂ ಇವರೇ.
Solomon’s builders and Hiram’s builders and the Gebalites cut them, and prepared the timber and the stones to build the house.
