ಅರಸುಗಳು - ಪ್ರಥಮ ಭಾಗ 11
1 ೧ ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಫರೋಹನ ಮಗಳನ್ನಲ್ಲದೆ ಮೋವಾಬ್ಯರು, ಅಮ್ಮೋನಿಯರು, ಎದೋಮ್ಯರು, ಚೀದೋನ್ಯರು ಮತ್ತು ಹಿತ್ತಿಯರು ಎಂಬ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರನ್ನು ಮೋಹಿಸಿದನು.
But king Solomon loved many foreign women, in addition to the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Zidonians, and Hittites;
2 ೨ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಈ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಿಗೆ, “ನಿಮಗೂ ಅವರಿಗೂ ಕೊಡುವುದು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ನಡೆಯಬಾರದು, ಅದು ನಡೆಯುವುದಾದರೆ ಅವರು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮನಸ್ಸನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ದೇವತೆಗಳ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಸಾರು” ಎಂದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದರೂ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಅವರ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಅನುರಕ್ತನಾಗಿದ್ದನು.
Of the nations concerning which the LORD said to the children of Israel, Ye shall not go in to them, neither shall they come in to you: for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods: Solomon held fast to these in love.
3 ೩ ಅವನಿಗೆ ರಾಜವಂಶದವರಾದ ಏಳುನೂರು ಮಂದಿ ಪತ್ನಿಯರಲ್ಲದೆ ಮುನ್ನೂರು ಜನರು ಉಪಪತ್ನಿಯರಿದ್ದರು. ಈ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರು ಅವನ ಮನಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಕೆಡಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟರು.
And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines: and his wives turned away his heart.
4 ೪ ಅವನು ವೃದ್ಧನಾದಾಗ ಇವರು ಅವನ ಹೃದಯವನ್ನು ಅನ್ಯದೇವತೆಗಳ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಸಿದರು. ಈ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದ ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕವಾದ ಭಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಕಳೆದುಕೊಂಡನು. ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ದಾವೀದನಂತೆ ನಡೆಯಲಿಲ್ಲ.
For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father.
5 ೫ ಅವನು ಚೀದೋನ್ಯರ ಅಷ್ಟೋರೆತ್ ದೇವತೆಯನ್ನೂ, ಅಮ್ಮೋನಿಯರ ಮಿಲ್ಕೋಮ್ ಎಂಬ ಅಸಹ್ಯ ವಿಗ್ರಹವನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸತೊಡಗಿ ಯೆಹೋವನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ದ್ರೋಹಿಯಾದನು.
For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites.
And Solomon did evil in the sight of the LORD, and went not fully after the LORD, as did David his father.
7 ೭ ಅವನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಮೂಡಲಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಗುಡ್ಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೋವಾಬ್ಯರ ಕೆಮೋಷ್ ಎಂಬ ಅಸಹ್ಯ ವಿಗ್ರಹಕ್ಕೂ ಮತ್ತು ಅಮ್ಮೋನಿಯರ ಮೋಲೆಕ್ ಎಂಬ ಅಸಹ್ಯ ವಿಗ್ರಹಕ್ಕೂ ಪೂಜಾಸ್ಥಳಗಳನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿದನು.
Then Solomon built an high place for Chemosh, the abomination of Moab, in the hill that is before Jerusalem, and for Molech, the abomination of the children of Ammon.
8 ೮ ಈ ರೀತಿಯಾಗಿ ಅನ್ಯಜನಾಂಗಗಳಿಂದ ಬಂದ ತನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯರು ತಮ್ಮ ದೇವತೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಧೂಪಹಾಕುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಮತ್ತು ಯಜ್ಞವರ್ಪಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಅನುಕೂಲ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
And likewise did he for all his foreign wives, who burnt incense and sacrificed to their gods.
And the LORD was angry with Solomon, because his heart was turned from the LORD God of Israel, who had appeared to him twice,
10 ೧೦ ಅನ್ಯದೇವತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸಲೇ ಬಾರದೆಂದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದರೂ ಅವನು ಆತನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮೀರಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಆತನು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡನು.
And had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods: but he kept not that which the LORD commanded.
11 ೧೧ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನೀನು ಈ ರೀತಿಯಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿ ನನ್ನ ವಿಧಿನಿಬಂಧನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮೀರಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನಿಂದ ಕಿತ್ತುಕೊಂಡು ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಿಗೆ ಕೊಡುವೆನು.
Therefore the LORD said to Solomon, Forasmuch as this is done by thee, and thou hast not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I have commanded thee, I will surely rend the kingdom away from thee, and will give it to thy servant.
12 ೧೨ ಆದರೂ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ದಾವೀದನನ್ನು ನೆನಸಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ನಿನ್ನ ಮಗನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಅದನ್ನು ಕಿತ್ತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವೆನು.
However in thy days I will not do it for David thy father’s sake: but I will rend it out of the hand of thy son.
13 ೧೩ ಆದರೆ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕಿತ್ತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ದಾವೀದನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ನಾನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮ್ ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಗನಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಕುಲವನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸುವೆನು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
Yet I will not rend away all the kingdom; but will give one tribe to thy son for David my servant’s sake, and for Jerusalem’s sake which I have chosen.
And the LORD stirred up an adversary to Solomon, Hadad the Edomite: he was of the king’s seed in Edom.
15 ೧೫ ದಾವೀದನಿಗೂ ಎದೋಮಿನವರಿಗೂ ಯುದ್ಧ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಸೇನಾಪತಿಯಾದ ಯೋವಾಬನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಸರ್ವಸೈನ್ಯದೊಡನೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ, ಹತರಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರನ್ನು ಸಮಾಧಿಮಾಡಿದನು.
For it came to pass, when David was in Edom, and Joab the captain of the host had gone up to bury the slain, after he had smitten every male in Edom;
(For six months did Joab remain there with all Israel, until he had cut off every male in Edom: )
17 ೧೭ ಆ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಾಲಕನಾದ ಹದದನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಸೇವಕರಾದ ಕೆಲವು ಜನರು ಎದೋಮ್ಯರ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಐಗುಪ್ತಕ್ಕೆ ಓಡಿಹೋಗಬೇಕೆಂದು ಹೊರಟನು.
That Hadad fled, he and certain Edomites of his father’s servants with him, to go into Egypt; Hadad being yet a little child.
18 ೧೮ ಅವರು ಮೊದಲು ಮಿದ್ಯಾನಿಗೂ, ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ಪಾರಾನಿಗೂ ಬಂದರು. ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಕೆಲವು ಜನರು ಪಾರಾನಿನ ಜನರನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಐಗುಪ್ತದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಫರೋಹನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದರು. ಫರೋಹನು ಹದದನಿಗೆ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು, ಮನೆಯನ್ನೂ ಮತ್ತು ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನೂ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
And they arose out of Midian, and came to Paran: and they took men with them from Paran, and they came to Egypt, to Pharaoh king of Egypt; who gave him an house, and appointed him food, and gave him land.
19 ೧೯ ಹದದನು ಫರೋಹನ ವಿಶೇಷ ದಯೆಗೆ ಪಾತ್ರನಾದುದರಿಂದ ಫರೋಹನನು ತನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯೂ ರಾಣಿಯೂ ಆದ ತಖ್ಪೆನೇಸ್ ಎಂಬಾಕೆಯ ತಂಗಿಯನ್ನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಮದುವೆಮಾಡಿಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
And Hadad found great favour in the sight of Pharaoh, so that he gave him for a wife the sister of his own wife, the sister of Tahpenes the queen.
20 ೨೦ ಆಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಗೆನುಬತ್ ಎಂಬ ಮಗನು ಹುಟ್ಟಿದನು. ತಖ್ಪೆನೆಸಳು ಈ ಹುಡುಗನನ್ನು ಫರೋಹನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲೇ ಸಾಕಿದಳು. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನು ಫರೋಹನ ಕುಮಾರರ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದನು.
And the sister of Tahpenes bore him Genubath his son, whom Tahpenes weaned in Pharaoh’s house: and Genubath was in Pharaoh’s household among the sons of Pharaoh.
21 ೨೧ ದಾವೀದನು ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದನೆಂದೂ ಸೇನಾಧಿಪತಿಯಾದ ಯೋವಾಬನು ಮೃತನಾದನೆಂದೂ ಐಗುಪ್ತದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಹದದನು ಕೇಳಿ ಫರೋಹನನಿಗೆ, “ನಾನು ಸ್ವದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಬೇಕೆಂದಿರುತ್ತೇನೆ, ನನಗೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ಕೊಡು” ಅಂದನು.
And when Hadad heard in Egypt that David slept with his fathers, and that Joab the captain of the host was dead, Hadad said to Pharaoh, Let me depart, that I may go to my own country.
22 ೨೨ ಫರೋಹನು ಅವನನ್ನು, “ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೀನಗೇನು ಕೊರತೆಯಾಯಿತು. ಸ್ವದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಬೇಕೆಂದು ಯಾಕೆ ಬಯಸುತ್ತೀ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಹದದನು, “ಏನೂ ಕೊರತೆಯಾಗಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೂ ನನಗೆ ಹೋಗುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಯಾಗಬೇಕು” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಂಡನು.
Then Pharaoh said to him, But what hast thou lacked with me, that, behold, thou seekest to go to thy own country? And he answered, Nothing: only let me go.
And God stirred him up another adversary, Rezon the son of Eliadah, who fled from his lord Hadadezer king of Zobah:
24 ೨೪ ದಾವೀದನು ಚೋಬದವರನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸಿದಾಗ ಅವನು ಚೋಬದ ಅರಸನೂ ಒಡೆಯನೂ ಆದ ಹದದೆಜೆರನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಓಡಿಹೋಗಿ ಕೆಲವು ಜನರನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ತಾನು ಅವರ ನಾಯಕನಾಗಿ ಅವರೊಡನೆ ದಮಸ್ಕಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಸನಾದನು.
And he gathered men to him, and became captain over a band, when David slew them of Zobah: and they went to Damascus, and dwelt in it, and reigned in Damascus.
25 ೨೫ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಜೀವಮಾನದಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಿಗೆ ಮಹಾಬಾಧಕನಾದ ಹದದನಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವನೂ ವೈರಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದನು. ಅವನು ಅರಾಮ್ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಳುವವನಾಗಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರನ್ನು ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ದ್ವೇಷಿಸಿದನು.
And he was an adversary to Israel all the days of Solomon, besides the mischief that Hadad did: and he abhorred Israel, and reigned over Syria.
26 ೨೬ ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಎದ್ದವರಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನ ಸೇವಕನೂ ಚರೇದ ಊರಿನ ಎಫ್ರಾಯೀಮ್ಯನಾದ ನೆಬಾಟನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನೆಂಬವನು ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನು. ಚೆರೂಗಳೆಂಬ ವಿಧವೆಯು ಅವನ ತಾಯಿ.
And Jeroboam the son of Nebat, an Ephrathite of Zereda, Solomon’s servant, whose mother’s name was Zeruah, a widow woman, even he raised his hand against the king.
27 ೨೭ ಅವನು ತಿರುಗಿ ಬಿದ್ದದ್ದು ಹೇಗೆಂದರೆ, ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಮಿಲ್ಲೋ ಕೋಟೆಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿ ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ದಾವೀದನ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ದುರ್ಬಲ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳನ್ನು ಭದ್ರಪಡಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ,
And this was the cause why he raised his hand against the king: Solomon built Millo, and repaired the breaches of the city of David his father.
28 ೨೮ ಯೌವನಸ್ಥನಾದ ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನು ಬಹು ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯದಿಂದ ಕೆಲಸಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಅವನನ್ನು ಯೋಸೇಫ್ಯರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಆಳುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಮೇಸ್ತ್ರಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ನೇಮಿಸಿದನು.
And the man Jeroboam was a mighty man of valour: and Solomon seeing the young man that he was industrious, he made him ruler over all the charge of the house of Joseph.
29 ೨೯ ಒಂದು ದಿನ ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಿಂದ ಎಲ್ಲಿಗೋ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಅಡವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶಿಲೋವಿನವನಾದ ಅಹೀಯನೆಂಬ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಎದುರಾದನು. ಅವನು ಹೊಸ ಬಟ್ಟೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊದ್ದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದನು. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಇವರಿಬ್ಬರ ಹೊರತಾಗಿ ಬೇರೆ ಯಾರೂ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
And it came to pass at that time when Jeroboam went out of Jerusalem, that the prophet Ahijah the Shilonite found him in the way; and he had clad himself with a new garment; and they two were alone in the field:
And Ahijah caught the new garment that was on him, and tore it in twelve pieces:
31 ೩೧ ಅವನು ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನಿಗೆ, “ನೀನು ಇವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹತ್ತು ತುಂಡುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೋ. ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಂದ ಕಿತ್ತುಕೊಂಡು,
And he said to Jeroboam, Take thee ten pieces: for thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, Behold, I will rend the kingdom from the hand of Solomon, and will give ten tribes to thee:
32 ೩೨ ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ದಾವೀದನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿಯೂ, ತಾನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕುಲಗಳಿಂದ ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮ್ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿಯೂ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಒಂದೇ ಕುಲವನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿ, ಬೇರೆ ಹತ್ತು ಕುಲಗಳನ್ನು ನಿನಗೆ ಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.
(But he shall have one tribe for my servant David’s sake, and for Jerusalem’s sake, the city which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel: )
33 ೩೩ ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಆತನು ನಿನಗೆ, “ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನೂ ಅವರ ಮನೆಯವರೂ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಚೀದೋನ್ಯರ ದೇವತೆಯಾದ ಅಷ್ಟೋರೆತ್, ಮೋವಾಬ್ಯರ ದೇವತೆಯಾದ ‘ಕೆಮೋಷ್’ ಮತ್ತು ಅಮ್ಮೋನಿಯರ ‘ಮಿಲ್ಕೋಮ್’ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸಿದ್ದೂ ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ದಾವೀದನು ನನ್ನ ನೇಮವಿಧಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಂಡು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿ ನಡೆದಂತೆ ಅವರು ನಡೆಯದೆ ಹೋದದ್ದೇ ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣ.
Because they have forsaken me, and have worshipped Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, Chemosh the god of the Moabites, and Milcom the god of the children of Ammon, and have not walked in my ways, to do that which is right in my eyes, and to keep my statutes and my judgments, as did David his father.
34 ೩೪ ಆದರೂ ನಾನು ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕಿತ್ತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ನನ್ನ ಆಜ್ಞಾವಿಧಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಂಡವನೂ, ನಾನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಸೇವಕನೂ ಆದ ದಾವೀದನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ಅವನ ಜೀವಮಾನದಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅರಸನನ್ನಾಗಿಯೇ ಇರಿಸುವೆನು.
Yet I will not take the whole kingdom out of his hand: but I will make him prince all the days of his life for David my servant’s sake, whom I chose, because he kept my commandments and my statutes:
But I will take the kingdom out of his son’s hand, and will give it to thee, even ten tribes.
36 ೩೬ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮ್ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ದಾವೀದನ ದೀಪವು ನನ್ನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉರಿಯುತ್ತಲೇ ಇರುವಂತೆ ಅವನ ಮಗನಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಕುಲವನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸುವೆನು.
And to his son will I give one tribe, that David my servant may have a light always before me in Jerusalem, the city which I have chosen for me to put my name there.
And I will take thee, and thou shalt reign according to all that thy soul desireth, and shalt be king over Israel.
38 ೩೮ ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ದಾವೀದನು ನನ್ನ ಆಜ್ಞಾವಿಧಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಂಡಂತೆ ನೀನೂ ನನ್ನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಂಡು ನನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಸುವುದಾದರೆ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದು ದಾವೀದನ ಸಂತಾನದಂತೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತಾನವನ್ನೂ ಸ್ಥಿರಪಡಿಸುವೆನು. ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ರಾಜ್ಯವು ನಿನ್ನ ಪಾಲಾಗುವುದು.
And it shall be, if thou wilt hearken to all that I command thee, and wilt walk in my ways, and do right in my sight, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as David my servant did; that I will be with thee, and build thee a sure house, as I built for David, and will give Israel to thee.
39 ೩೯ ದಾವೀದನ ಸಂತಾನದವರನ್ನು ಅವರ ಪಾಪದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ತಲೆತಗ್ಗಿಸುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಕುಗ್ಗಿಸುವೆನು. ಆದರೆ ಸದಾಕಾಲಕ್ಕೂ ಅದು ಮುಂದುವರಿಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
And I will for this afflict the seed of David, but not for ever.
40 ೪೦ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸಿದಾಗ ಅವನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಐಗುಪ್ತದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಶೀಶಕನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಜೀವದಿಂದಿರುವ ವರೆಗೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಇದ್ದನು.
Solomon sought therefore to kill Jeroboam. And Jeroboam arose, and fled into Egypt, to Shishak king of Egypt, and was in Egypt until the death of Solomon.
41 ೪೧ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಉಳಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಅವನ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನೂ ಕುರಿತು ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಚರಿತ್ರೆ ಎಂಬ ಗ್ರಂಥದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿರುತ್ತದೆ.
And the rest of the acts of Solomon, and all that he did, and his wisdom, are they not written in the book of the acts of Solomon?
And the time that Solomon reigned in Jerusalem over all Israel was forty years.
43 ೪೩ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದನು. ಅವನ ಶವವನ್ನು ತಂದೆಯಾದ ದಾವೀದನ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮಾಧಿಮಾಡಿದರು. ಅವನ ನಂತರ ಅವನ ಮಗನಾದ ರೆಹಬ್ಬಾಮನು ಅರಸನಾದನು.
And Solomon slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David his father: and Rehoboam his son reigned in his stead.
