ಅರಸುಗಳು - ಪ್ರಥಮ ಭಾಗ 10
1 ೧ ಯೆಹೋವನ ನಾಮಮಹತ್ತಿನಿಂದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗುಂಟಾದ ಕೀರ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಶೆಬೆದ ರಾಣಿಯು ಕೇಳಿ, ಅವನನ್ನು ಒಗಟುಗಳಿಂದ ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬಂದಳು.
And the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon in connection with the name of Jehovah, and came to prove him with enigmas.
2 ೨ ಆಕೆಯು ಸುಗಂಧದ್ರವ್ಯ, ಅಪರಿಮಿತವಾದ ಬಂಗಾರ, ರತ್ನ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಒಂಟೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೇರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ಮಹಾಪರಿವಾರದೊಡನೆ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ತನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಗೊತ್ತುಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನೊಡನೆ ಸಂಭಾಷಿಸಿದಳು.
And she came to Jerusalem with a very great train, with camels that bore spices and gold in very great abundance, and precious stones; and she came to Solomon, and spoke to him of all that was in her heart.
3 ೩ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಆಕೆಯ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳಿಗೂ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟನು. ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯದಂಥದ್ದು ಒಂದೂ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲವಾದುದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಅವೆಲ್ಲವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
And Solomon explained to her all she spoke of: there was not a thing hidden from the king that he did not explain to her.
And when the queen of Sheba saw all Solomon's wisdom, and the house that he had built,
5 ೫ ಅವನ ಭೋಜನಪೀಠದ ಆಹಾರ, ಆ ಪೀಠದ ಸುತ್ತಲಿರುವ ಉದ್ಯೋಗಸ್ಥರ ಆಸನಗಳು, ಅವನ ಪರಿಚಾರಕರ ಸೇವಾಕ್ರಮ, ಅವರ ಉಡುಪುಗಳು, ಅವನ ಪಾನಕಗಳು ಇವುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮತ್ತು ಅವನು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಸರ್ವಾಂಗಹೋಮಗಳನ್ನೂ ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ವಿಸ್ಮಿತಳಾಗಿ ಹೋದಳು.
and the food of his table, and the deportment of his servants, and the order of service of his attendants, and their apparel, and his cupbearers, and his ascent by which he went up to the house of Jehovah, there was no more spirit in her.
And she said to the king, It was a true report that I heard in mine own land of thine affairs, and of thy wisdom;
7 ೭ ನಾನಾಗಿ ಇಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಕಣ್ಣಾರೆ ನೋಡುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮೊದಲು ಜನರು ಹೇಳಿದ ಸುದ್ದಿಯನ್ನು ನಂಬಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಈಗ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದು ನೋಡಿದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಜ್ಞಾನವೈಭವಗಳು ನಾನು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿವೆ. ಜನರು ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಅರ್ಧವನ್ನಾದರೂ ಹೇಳಲಿಲ್ಲ.
but I gave no credit to the words, until I came and mine eyes had seen; and behold, the half was not told me: in wisdom and prosperity thou exceedest the report that I heard.
Happy are thy men! happy are these thy servants, who stand continually before thee, who hear thy wisdom!
9 ೯ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಮೆಚ್ಚಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳ್ಳಿರಿಸಿದ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರವಾಗಲಿ. ಆತನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರನ್ನು ಸದಾ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವವನಾದುದರಿಂದ ಅವರ ನೀತಿನ್ಯಾಯಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನೇ ಅರಸನನ್ನಾಗಿ ನೇಮಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದಳು.
Blessed be Jehovah thy God, who delighted in thee, to set thee on the throne of Israel! Because Jehovah loves Israel for ever, therefore did he make thee king, to do judgment and justice.
10 ೧೦ ಆಕೆಯು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ನೂರಿಪ್ಪತ್ತು ತಲಾಂತು ಬಂಗಾರವನ್ನೂ, ಅಪರಿಮಿತ ಸುಗಂಧದ್ರವ್ಯವನ್ನೂ ಮತ್ತು ರತ್ನಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೊಟ್ಟಳು. ಶೆಬೆದ ರಾಣಿಯು ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಷ್ಟು ಸುಗಂಧದ್ರವ್ಯವನ್ನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಪುನಃ ಯಾರು ಕೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಬರಲೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.
And she gave the king a hundred and twenty talents of gold, and spices in very great abundance, and precious stones: there came no more such abundance of spices as those which the queen of Sheba gave to king Solomon.
11 ೧೧ ಹೀರಾಮನ ಹಡಗುಗಳು ಓಫೀರ್ ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಬಂಗಾರದ ಹೊರತಾಗಿ ಸುಗಂಧದ ಮರವನ್ನೂ ಮತ್ತು ರತ್ನಗಳನ್ನೂ ರಾಶಿ ರಾಶಿಯಾಗಿ ತಂದವು.
(And the fleet also of Hiram, which carried gold from Ophir, brought from Ophir sandal-wood in very great abundance, and precious stones.
12 ೧೨ ಅರಸನು ಸುಗಂಧದ ಮರದಿಂದ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆಲಯ ಮತ್ತು ಅರಮನೆ ಇವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಸ್ತಂಭಗಳನ್ನು, ಗಾಯಕರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಕಿನ್ನರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಸ್ವರಮಂಡಲಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡಿಸಿದನು. ಆಗ ಬಂದಷ್ಟು ಸುಗಂಧದ ಮರವು ಇಂದಿನ ವರೆಗೂ ಆ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಬರಲಿಲ್ಲ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾಣಲಿಲ್ಲ.
And the king made of the sandal-wood a balustrade for the house of Jehovah, and for the king's house, and harps and lutes for the singers. There came no such sandal-wood, nor was there seen to this day.)
13 ೧೩ ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಶೆಬೆದ ರಾಣಿಗೆ ತಾನಾಗಿ ರಾಜಮರ್ಯಾದೆಯಿಂದ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ವಸ್ತುಗಳಲ್ಲದೆ ಆಕೆಯು ಕೇಳಿದವುಗಳೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟುಬಿಟ್ಟನು. ಅನಂತರ ಆಕೆಯು ತನ್ನ ಪರಿವಾರದೊಡನೆ ಸ್ವದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟುಹೋದಳು.
And king Solomon gave to the queen of Sheba all her desire, whatever she asked, besides what he gave her of the bounty of king Solomon. And she turned and went to her own land, she and her servants.
And the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred and sixty-six talents of gold,
15 ೧೫ ಅದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ದೇಶಾಂತರ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರಿಗಳೂ, ವರ್ತಕರೂ, ಅರಬಿಯ ಅರಸರೂ, ಪ್ರದೇಶಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳೂ ಸಹ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗೆ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ಬಂಗಾರವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
besides what [came] by the dealers, and by the traffic of the merchants, and by all the kings of Arabia, and by the governors of the country.
16 ೧೬ ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಬಂಗಾರದ ತಗಡಿನಿಂದ ಇನ್ನೂರು ಗುರಾಣಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಸಿದನು. ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಗುರಾಣಿಗೆ ಆರುನೂರು ತೊಲಾ ಬಂಗಾರ ಹಿಡಿಯಿತು.
And king Solomon made two hundred targets of beaten gold, — he applied six hundred [shekels] of gold to one target;
17 ೧೭ ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವನು ಬಂಗಾರದ ತಗಡಿನಿಂದ ಮುನ್ನೂರು ಖೇಡ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಸಿದನು. ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಖೇಡ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ನೂರೈವತ್ತು ತೊಲಾ ಬಂಗಾರ ಹಿಡಿಯಿತು. ಅವನು ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಲೆಬನೋನಿನ ತೋಪು ಎನ್ನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಮಂದಿರದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರಿಸಿದನು.
and three hundred shields of beaten gold, — he applied three minas of gold to one shield; and the king put them in the house of the forest of Lebanon.
And the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid it with refined gold:
19 ೧೯ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಆರು ಮೆಟ್ಟಲುಗಳಿದ್ದವು. ಅದರ ಹಿಂಭಾಗದ ತುದಿಯು ಚಕ್ರಾಕಾರವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಆಸನಕ್ಕೆ ಎರಡು ಕೈಗಳು, ಅವುಗಳ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಎರಡು ಸಿಂಹಗಳು ಇದ್ದವು.
the throne had six steps, and the top of the throne was rounded behind; and there were arms on each side at the place of the seat, and two lions stood beside the arms;
20 ೨೦ ಆರು ಮೆಟ್ಟಲುಗಳ ಎರಡು ಕಡೆಗಳಲ್ಲೂ ಒಟ್ಟು ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಸಿಂಹಗಳು ನಿಂತಿದ್ದವು. ಇಂಥ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನವು ಬೇರೆ ಯಾವ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
and twelve lions stood there on the one side and on the other upon the six steps: there was not the like made in any kingdom.
21 ೨೧ ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಪಾನಪಾತ್ರೆಗಳು, ಲೆಬನೋನಿನ ತೋಪು ಎನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಮಂದಿರದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪಾನಪಾತ್ರೆಗಳು ಬಂಗಾರದವುಗಳು. ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಗೆ ಬೆಲೆ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲವಾದುದರಿಂದ ಅವನಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯ ಸಾಮಾನು ಒಂದಾದರೂ ಕಾಣಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.
And all king Solomon's drinking vessels were of gold, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon were of precious gold: none were of silver, [which] was not of the least account in the days of Solomon.
22 ೨೨ ಹೀರಾಮನ ನಾವೆಗಳ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ತಾರ್ಷೀಷ್ ಹಡಗುಗಳು ಹೋಗಿ ಮೂರು ವರ್ಷಕ್ಕೊಮ್ಮೆ ಬಂಗಾರ, ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ, ದಂತ, ವಾನರಗಳನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ನವಿಲುಗಳನ್ನೂ ತರುತ್ತಿದ್ದವು.
For the king had on the sea a Tarshish-fleet, with the fleet of Hiram: once in three years came the Tarshish-fleet, bringing gold and silver, ivory, and apes, and peacocks.
And king Solomon was greater than all the kings of the earth in riches and in wisdom.
And all the earth sought the presence of Solomon, to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart.
25 ೨೫ ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಅವನಿಗೆ ವರ್ಷ ವರ್ಷ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಬಂಗಾರದ ಸಾಮಾನು, ಉಡುಪು, ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಬೇಕಾದ ಆಯುಧಗಳು, ಸುಗಂಧದ್ರವ್ಯ, ಕುದುರೆ ಮತ್ತು ಹೇಸರಗತ್ತೆ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯಾಗಿ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
And they brought every man his present, vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and clothing, and armour, and spices, horses and mules, a rate year by year.
26 ೨೬ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ರಥಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮತ್ತು ರಾಹುತರನ್ನೂ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದನು. ಅವನ ರಥಗಳು ಸಾವಿರದ ನಾನೂರು. ರಾಹುತರು ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಸಾವಿರ. ಇವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವನ್ನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಉಳಿದವುಗಳನ್ನು ರಥಗಳಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ನೇಮಿಸಿದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇರಿಸಿದನು.
And Solomon gathered chariots and horsemen; and he had a thousand four hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen; and he placed them in the chariot-cities, and with the king at Jerusalem.
27 ೨೭ ಅವನ ಮುಖಾಂತರವಾಗಿ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯು ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಹಾಗೂ ದೇವದಾರುಮರಗಳು ಇಳಕಲಿನ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳೆಯುವ ಅತ್ತಿಮರಗಳ ಹಾಗೂ ಹೇರಳವಾಗಿ ದೊರೆಯುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.
And the king made silver in Jerusalem as stones, and cedars made he as the sycamores that are in the lowland for abundance.
28 ೨೮ ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಕುದುರೆಗಳು ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶದವುಗಳು. ಅವನ ವರ್ತಕರು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಂಡುಗಟ್ಟಲೆ ಕೊಂಡುಕೊಂಡು ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
And the exportation of horses that Solomon had was from Egypt: a caravan of the king's merchants fetched a drove [of horses], at a price.
29 ೨೯ ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶದಿಂದ ರಥಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮತ್ತು ಕುದುರೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ತರಿಸಬೇಕಾದರೆ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ರಥಕ್ಕೆ ಆರುನೂರು ರೂಪಾಯಿಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಕುದುರೆಗೆ ನೂರೈವತ್ತು ರೂಪಾಯಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೊಡಬೇಕಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಅವು ಹಿತ್ತಿಯರ ಮತ್ತು ಅರಾಮ್ಯರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅರಸರಿಗೆ ಇವರ ಮುಖಾಂತರವಾಗಿಯೇ ಮಾರಾಟವಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದವು.
And a chariot came up and went out of Egypt for six hundred [shekels] of silver, and a horse for a hundred and fifty; and so they brought [them] by their means, for all the kings of the Hittites and for the kings of Syria.
