ಅರಸುಗಳು - ಪ್ರಥಮ ಭಾಗ 1
And king David [was] old and advanced in days, and they covered him with clothes, and he was not warmed.
2 ೨ ಆದುದರಿಂದ ಅವನ ಸೇವಕರು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನಮ್ಮ ಒಡೆಯನಾದ ಅರಸನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಒಬ್ಬ ಕನ್ಯೆಯನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಿತರುವೆವು. ಆಕೆಯು ಅರಸನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದುಕೊಂಡು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಪರಾಂಬರಿಸಬೇಕು. ಆಕೆಯು ನಮ್ಮ ಒಡೆಯನಾದ ಅರಸನ ಪಕ್ಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಲಗುವುದರಿಂದ ನಿಮಗೆ ಬೆಚ್ಚಗಾಗುವುದು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
And his servants said, Let them seek for the king a young virgin, and she shall wait on the king, and cherish him, and lie with him, and my lord the king shall be warmed.
3 ೩ ಆನಂತರ ಅವರು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅತಿ ಸುಂದರಿಯಾದ ಹುಡುಗಿಯನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಶೂನೇಮ್ ಊರಿನ ಅಬೀಷಗ್ ಎಂಬಾಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಅರಸನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದರು.
So they sought for a fair damsel out of all the coasts of Israel; and they found Abisag the Somanite, and they brought her to the king.
And the damsel was extremely beautiful, and she cherished the king, and ministered to him, but the king knew her not.
5 ೫ ಆನಂತರ ಹಗ್ಗೀತಳ ಮಗನಾದ ಅದೋನೀಯನು, “ನಾನೇ ಅರಸನಾಗತಕ್ಕವನು” ಎಂಬುದಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿ ಉಬ್ಬಿಕೊಂಡು, ತನಗೋಸ್ಕರ ರಥರಥಾಶ್ವಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಮುಂದೆ ಓಡುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಐವತ್ತು ಸಿಪಾಯಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ನೇಮಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನು.
And Adonias the son of Aggith exalted himself, saying, I will be king; and he prepared for himself chariots and horses, and fifty men to run before him.
6 ೬ ಅವನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ದಾವೀದನು, “ನೀನು ಹೀಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇಕೆ” ಎಂದು ಅವನನ್ನು ಒಂದು ಸಾರಿಯಾದರೂ ಗದರಿಸಿ ಬೇಸರಪಡಿಸಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವನು ಬಹು ಸುಂದರವಾಗಿದ್ದನು. ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನ ತರುವಾಯ ಅವನೇ ಹಿರಿಯನಾಗಿದ್ದನು.
And his father never at any time checked him, saying, Why hast thou done [thus]? and he was also very handsome in appearance, and his mother bore him after Abessalom.
7 ೭ ಅವನು ಚೆರೂಯಳ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೋವಾಬನನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಎಬ್ಯಾತಾರನನ್ನೂ ತನ್ನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಒಲಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನು. ಇವರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಸಹಾಯಕರಾದರು.
And he conferred with Joab the son of Saruia, and with Abiathar the priest, and they followed after Adonias.
8 ೮ ಆದರೆ ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಚಾದೋಕ್, ಯೆಹೋಯಾದಾವನ ಮಗನಾದ ಬೆನಾಯ, ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ನಾತಾನ್, ಶಿಮ್ಮೀ, ರೇಗೀ ಮತ್ತು ದಾವೀದನ ವಿಶೇಷ ಕಾವಲಿನವರು ಅದೋನೀಯನನ್ನು ಬೆಂಬಲಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.
But Sadoc the priest, and Banaeas the son of Jodae, and Nathan the prophet, and Semei, and Resi, and the mighty men of David, did not follow Adonias.
9 ೯ ಅದೋನೀಯನು ರೋಗೆಲ್ ಬುಗ್ಗೆಯ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಚೋಹೆಲೆತ್ ಬಂಡೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುರಿ, ಹೋರಿ ಮೊದಲಾದ ಕೊಬ್ಬಿದ ಪಶುಗಳನ್ನು ಯಜ್ಞಮಾಡಿಸಿ, ರಾಜಪುತ್ರರಾದ ತನ್ನ ಉಳಿದ ಸಹೋದರರನ್ನೂ ಅರಸನ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಾದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರನ್ನೂ ಔತಣಕ್ಕೆ ಆಮಂತ್ರಿಸಿದನು.
And Adonias sacrificed sheep and calves and lambs by the stone of Zoelethi, which was near Rogel: and he called all his brethren, and all the adult [men] of Juda, servants of the king.
10 ೧೦ ಆದರೆ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ನಾತಾನ್, ಬೆನಾಯ, ದಾವೀದನ ವಿಶೇಷ ಕಾವಲಿನವರು ತಮ್ಮನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನ್ ಇವರನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ಆಮಂತ್ರಿಸಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
But Nathan the prophet, and Banaeas, and the mighty [men], and Solomon his brother, he did not call.
11 ೧೧ ಆಗ ನಾತಾನನು ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ತಾಯಿಯಾದ ಬತ್ಷೆಬೆಗೆ, “ಹಗ್ಗೀತಳ ಮಗನಾದ ಅದೋನೀಯನು ನಮ್ಮ ಒಡೆಯನಾದ ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯದೇ ಅರಸನಾದನೆಂಬುದನ್ನು ನೀನು ಕೇಳಿದಿಯಲ್ಲವೋ?
And Nathan spoke to Bersabee the mother of Solomon, saying, Hast thou not heard that Adonias the son of Aggith reigns, and our lord David knows it not?
And now come, let me, I pray, give thee counsel, and thou shalt rescue thy life, and the life of thy son Solomon.
13 ೧೩ ನೀನು ಅರಸನಾದ ದಾವೀದನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ, ‘ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನಾದ ಅರಸನು ತನ್ನ ತರುವಾಯ ನನ್ನ ಮಗನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನೇ ಆಳಬೇಕು. ಅವನೇ ನನ್ನ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ತಮ್ಮ ದಾಸಿಯಾದ ನನಗೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದನಲ್ಲಾ. ಹೀಗಿದ್ದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅದೋನೀಯನು ಆಳುವುದೇಕೆ’ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳು.
Haste, and go in to king David, and thou shalt speak to him, saying, Hast not thou, my lord, O king, sworn to thine handmaid, saying, Thy son Solomon shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne? why then does Adonias reign?
And behold, while thou art still speaking there with the king, I also will come in after thee, and will confirm thy words.
15 ೧೫ ಅರಸನು ಬಹು ವೃದ್ಧನಾಗಿದುದರಿಂದ ಶೂನೇಮ್ಯಳಾದ ಅಬೀಷಗ್ ಎಂಬಾಕೆಯಿಂದ ಪರಾಂಬರಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುತ್ತಾ ಒಳಗಿನ ಕೋಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಇರುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.
So Bersabee went in to the king into the chamber: and the king was very old, and Abisag the Somanite was ministering to the king.
16 ೧೬ ಬತ್ಷೆಬೆಯು ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಬಾಗಿ ನಮಸ್ಕರಿಸಿದಳು. ಅರಸನು, “ನಿನಗೇನು ಬೇಕು?” ಎಂದು ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದನು.
And Bersabee bowed, and did obeisance to the king; and the king said, What is thy request?
17 ೧೭ ಆಗ ಆಕೆಯು, “ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನು ತನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಣೆಯಿಟ್ಟು ತಮ್ಮ ದಾಸಿಯಾದ ನನಗೆ ನನ್ನ ತರುವಾಯ ನನ್ನ ಮಗನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಅರಸನಾಗಬೇಕು. ನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಅವನೇ ನನ್ನ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಎಂಬುದಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೆಯಲ್ಲಾ.
And she said, My lord, thou didst swear by the Lord thy God to thine handmaid, saying, Thy son Solomon shall reign after me, and shall sit upon my throne.
And now, behold, Adonias reigns, and thou, my lord, O king, knowest [it] not.
19 ೧೯ ಆತನು ಹೋರಿ, ಕುರಿ ಮೊದಲಾದ ಹಲವು ಕೊಬ್ಬಿದ ಪಶುಗಳನ್ನು ಯಜ್ಞಮಾಡಿಸಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಹೊರತಾಗಿ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ರಾಜಪುತ್ರರನ್ನೂ, ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಎಬ್ಯಾತಾರನನ್ನೂ, ಸೇನಾಧಿಪತಿಯಾದ ಯೋವಾಬನನ್ನೂ ಔತಣಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆದಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
And he has sacrificed calves and lambs and sheep in abundance, and has called all the king's sons, and Abiathar the priest and Joab the commander-in-chief of the host; but Solomon thy servant he has not called.
20 ೨೦ ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನೂ ಅರಸನೂ ಆದ ನಿಮ್ಮ ತರುವಾಯ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳತಕ್ಕವರು ಯಾರೆಂಬುದನ್ನು ನೀವೇ ಗೊತ್ತುಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಕಾದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
And thou, my lord, O king, —the eyes of all Israel [are] upon thee, to tell them who shall sit upon the throne of my lord the king after him.
21 ೨೧ ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನೂ, ಅರಸನೂ ಆದ ನೀವೂ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡದೆ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರುವುದಾದರೆ ನಾನೂ ಮತ್ತು ನನ್ನ ಮಗನೂ ದೋಷಾರೋಪಣೆಗೆ ಗುರಿಯಾಗುವೆವು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದಳು.
And it shall come to pass, when my lord the king shall sleep with his fathers, that I and Solomon my son shall be offenders.
And behold, while she was yet talking with the king, Nathan the prophet came. And it was reported to the king,
23 ೨೩ ಸೇವಕರು ನಾತಾನನು ಬಂದಿರುವ ಸಂಗತಿಯನ್ನು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ನಾತಾನನು ಅರಸನ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಸಾಷ್ಟಾಂಗನಮಸ್ಕಾರಮಾಡಿದನು.
Behold, Nathan the prophet [is here]: and he came in to the king's presence, and did obeisance to the king with his face to the ground.
24 ೨೪ ನಾತಾನನು, “ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನೂ, ಅರಸನೂ ಆದ ನೀನು ಅದೋನೀಯನಿಗೆ ಅರಸನಾಗುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಕೊಟ್ಟಿರುವಂತೆ ಕಾಣುತ್ತದೆ.
And Nathan said, My lord, O king, didst thou say, Adonias shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne?
25 ೨೫ ಅವನು ಗಟ್ಟಾ ಇಳಿದು ಹೋಗಿ ಹೋರಿ, ಕುರಿ ಮುಂತಾದ ಹಲವು ಕೊಬ್ಬಿದ ಪಶುಗಳನ್ನು ಯಜ್ಞಮಾಡಿಸಿ, ಎಲ್ಲಾ ರಾಜಪುತ್ರರನ್ನೂ, ಸೇನಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಎಬ್ಯಾತಾರನನ್ನೂ ಔತಣಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆದಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಅವರು ಅವನ ಪಂಕ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅನ್ನಪಾನಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು, ‘ಅರಸನಾದ ಅದೋನೀಯನು ಚಿರಂಜೀವಿಯಾಗಿರಲಿ’ ಎಂದು ಕೂಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
For he has gone down to-day, and has sacrificed calves and lambs and sheep in abundance, and has called all the king's sons, and the chiefs of the army, and Abiathar the priest; and, behold, they are eating and drinking before him, and they said, [Long] live king Adonias.
26 ೨೬ ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ನನ್ನನ್ನೂ, ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಚಾದೋಕ್, ಯೆಹೋಯಾದಾವನ ಮಗನಾದ ಬೆನಾಯ ಎಂಬುವರನ್ನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಗನೂ, ಸೇವಕನೂ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನನ್ನೂ ಔತಣಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆಯಲಿಲ್ಲ.
But he has not invited me thy servant, and Sadoc the priest, and Banaeas the son of Jodae, and Solomon thy servant.
27 ೨೭ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯವು ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನೂ ಅರಸನೂ ಆದ ನಿನ್ನಿಂದಲೇ ನಡೆದಿರುವ ಪಕ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ತರುವಾಯ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳತಕ್ಕವರು ಯಾರು ಎಂಬುವುದನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಬಾರದಾಗಿತ್ತೇ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
Has this matter happened by the authority of my lord the king, and hast thou not made known to thy servant who shall sit upon the throne of my lord the king after him?
And king David answered and said, Call me Bersabee: and she came in before the king, and stood before him.
And the king swore, and said, [As] the Lord lives who redeemed my soul out of all affliction,
30 ೩೦ ನನ್ನ ತರುವಾಯ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಗನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಅರಸನಾದ ನನ್ನ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಮಾಡಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಈಹೊತ್ತೇ ನೆರವೇರಿಸುವೆನು” ಎಂದನು.
as I swore to thee by the Lord God of Israel, saying, Solomon thy son shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne in my stead, so will I do this day.
31 ೩೧ ಆಗ ಬತ್ಷೆಬೆಯು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಸಾಷ್ಟಾಂಗನಮಸ್ಕಾರ ಮಾಡಿ, “ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನೂ ಅರಸನೂ ಆದ ದಾವೀದನು ಸದಾಕಾಲವೂ ಬಾಳಲಿ” ಎಂದಳು.
And Bersabee bowed with her face to the ground, and did obeisance to the king, and said, Let my lord king David live for ever.
32 ೩೨ ಅನಂತರ ಅರಸನಾದ ದಾವೀದನು ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರಿಗೆ, “ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಚಾದೋಕ್, ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ನಾತಾನ, ಯೆಹೋಯಾದಾವನ ಮಗನಾದ ಬೆನಾಯ ಎಂಬುವರನ್ನು ಕರೆಯಿರಿ” ಎಂದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದನು. ಅವರು ಅರಸನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಗೆ ಬಂದರು.
And king David said, Call me Sadoc the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Banaeas the son of Jodae: and they came in before the king.
33 ೩೩ ಅರಸನು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರನ್ನು ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ನನ್ನ ಮಗನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಹೇಸರಗತ್ತೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳ್ಳಿರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಗೀಹೋನ್ ಬುಗ್ಗೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಿರಿ.
And the king said to them, Take the servants of your lord with you, and mount my son Solomon upon my own mule, and bring him down to Gion.
34 ೩೪ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಚಾದೋಕನೂ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ನಾತಾನನೂ ಅವನನ್ನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಅರಸನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಅಭಿಷೇಕಿಸಲಿ. ಅನಂತರ ಕೊಂಬನ್ನೂದಿರಿ. ಎಲ್ಲರೂ, ‘ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಚಿರಂಜೀವಿಯಾಗಿರಲಿ’ ಎಂದು ಜಯಘೋಷ ಮಾಡಲಿ.
And there let Sadoc the priest and Nathan the prophet anoint him to be king over Israel, and do ye sound the trumpet, and ye shall say, Let king Solomon live.
35 ೩೫ ಆಮೇಲೆ ನೀವು ಅವನ ಹಿಂದೆ ಬನ್ನಿರಿ. ಅವನು ಅರಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿ ನನ್ನ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡು ನನಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಆಳಬೇಕು. ನಾನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಮತ್ತು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರನ್ನು ಆಳಲು ಅವನನ್ನೇ ಪ್ರಭುವನ್ನಾಗಿ ನೇಮಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ” ಎಂದನು.
And he shall sit upon my throne, and reign in my stead: and I have given charge that he should be for a prince over Israel and Juda.
36 ೩೬ ಯೆಹೋಯಾದಾವನ ಮಗನಾದ ಬೆನಾಯನು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ, “ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಆಗಲಿ. ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನಾದ ಅರಸನ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಅದನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಿರಪಡಿಸಲಿ.
And Banaeas the son of Jodae answered the king and said, So let it be: may the Lord God of my lord the king confirm [it].
37 ೩೭ ಆತನು ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನಾದ ಅರಸನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಸಂಗಡಲೂ ಇದ್ದು ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನೂ, ಅರಸನೂ ಆದ ನಿನ್ನ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಮಾಡಲಿ” ಎಂದು ನುಡಿದನು.
As the Lord was with my lord the king, so let him be with Solomon, and let him exalt his throne beyond the throne of my lord king David.
38 ೩೮ ಆಗ ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಚಾದೋಕ್, ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ನಾತಾನ್, ಯೆಹೋಯಾದಾವನ ಮಗನಾದ ಬೆನಾಯ ಎಂಬುವರು ಕೆರೇತ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಪೆಲೇತ್ಯ ಎಂಬ ಕಾವಲುದಂಡುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನನ್ನು ಅರಸನಾದ ದಾವೀದನ ಹೇಸರಗತ್ತೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳ್ಳಿರಿಸಿ, ಗೀಹೋನಿಗೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದರು.
And Sadoc the priest went down, and Nathan the prophet, and Banaeas son of Jodae, and the Cherethite, and the Phelethite, and they mounted Solomon upon the mule of king David, and led him away to Gion.
39 ೩೯ ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಚಾದೋಕನು ದೇವದರ್ಶನದ ಗುಡಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಣ್ಣೆಯ ಕೊಂಬನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನನ್ನು ಅಭಿಷೇಕಿಸಿದನು. ಕೂಡಲೇ ಕೊಂಬನ್ನೂದಿ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನರು “ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಚಿರಂಜೀವಿಯಾಗಿರಲಿ” ಎಂದು ಆರ್ಭಟಿಸಿದರು.
And Sadoc the priest took the horn of oil out of the tabernacle, and anointed Solomon, and blew the trumpet; and all the people said, Let king Solomon live.
40 ೪೦ ತರುವಾಯ ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಅವನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿ ಕೊಳಲೂದುತ್ತಾ, ಬಹುಸಂತೋಷದಿಂದ ಜಯಘೋಷಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿ ಬಂದರು. ಅವರ ಕೂಗಿನಿಂದ ಭೂಮಿಯು ನಡುಗಿತೋ ಎಂಬಂತೆ ಆಯಿತು.
And all the people went up after him, and they danced in choirs, and rejoiced with great joy, and the earth quaked with their voice.
41 ೪೧ ಅದೋನೀಯನು ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳೂ ಭೋಜನವನ್ನು ಮುಗಿಸುವಷ್ಟರಲ್ಲೇ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಈ ಕೂಗು ಕೇಳಿಸಿತು. ಯೋವಾಬನು ಕೊಂಬಿನ ಧ್ವನಿಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ, “ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂಥ ಗದ್ದಲವೇಕೆ?” ಎಂದು ವಿಚಾರಿಸಿದನು.
And Adonias and all his guests heard, and they had [just] left off eating: and Joab heard the sound of the trumpet, and said, What [means] the voice of the city in tumult?
42 ೪೨ ಆಗ ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಎಬ್ಯಾತಾರನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೋನಾತಾನನು ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬಂದನು. ಅದೋನೀಯನು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ಬಾ ನೀನು ಯೋಗ್ಯ ಪುರುಷನೂ, ಶುಭವರ್ತಮಾನವನ್ನು ತರುವವನೂ ಆಗಿರುತ್ತೀ” ಎಂದನು.
While he was yet speaking, behold, Jonathan the son of Abiathar the priest came in: and Adonias said, Come in, for thou art a mighty man, and [thou comest] to bring glad tidings.
43 ೪೩ ಯೋನಾತಾನನು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ಶುಭವಾರ್ತೆ ಎಲ್ಲಿ? ನಮ್ಮೊಡೆಯನೂ, ಅರಸನೂ ಆದ ದಾವೀದನು ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನನ್ನು ಅರಸನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
And Jonathan answered and said, Verily our lord king David has made Solomon king:
44 ೪೪ ಅರಸನು ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಚಾದೋಕ್, ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ನಾತಾನ್ ಯೆಹೋಯಾದಾವನ ಮಗನಾದ ಬೆನಾಯ ಎಂಬುವರನ್ನೂ, ಕೆರೇತ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಪೆಲೇತ್ಯರನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಅವರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಅರಸನ ಹೇಸರಗತ್ತೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳ್ಳಿರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
and the king has sent with him Sadoc the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Banaeas the son of Jodae, and the Cherethite, and the Phelethite, and they have mounted him on the king's mule;
45 ೪೫ ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಚಾದೋಕನೂ, ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ನಾತಾನನೂ ಗೀಹೋನಿನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ರಾಜ್ಯಾಭಿಷೇಕ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಅವರು ಮಹಾ ಸಂತೋಷದಿಂದ ಜಯಘೋಷ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇದರಿಂದಲೇ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಗದ್ದಲವುಂಟಾಗಿದೆ. ನೀವು ಕೇಳಿದ ಶಬ್ದವು ಇದೇ.
and Sadoc the priest and Nathan the prophet have anointed him in Gion, and have gone up thence rejoicing, and the city resounded: this [is] the sound which ye have heard.
And Solomon is seated upon the throne of the kingdom.
47 ೪೭ ಅರಸನಾದ ದಾವೀದನ ಸೇವಕರು ನಮ್ಮ ಒಡೆಯನೂ, ಅರಸನೂ ಆದ ದಾವೀದನ ಮುಂದೆ ಬಂದು, ‘ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರು ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧಿಗೆ ತರಲಿ. ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದದ್ದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಅವನ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಬಲಪಡಿಸಲಿ’ ಎಂದು ಅವನನ್ನು ಹರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
And the servants of the king have gone in to bless our lord king David, saying, God make the name of Solomon better than thy name, and make his throne greater than thy throne; and the king worshipped upon his bed.
48 ೪೮ ಅರಸನು ತನ್ನ ಹಾಸಿಗೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಾಗಿಕೊಂಡು, ‘ನಾನು ಕಣ್ಣಾರೆ ಕಾಣುವಂತೆ ಇಂದು ನನ್ನ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನಕ್ಕೆ ಒಬ್ಬ ಉತ್ತರಾಧಿಕಾರಿಯನ್ನು ದಯಪಾಲಿಸಿದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರವಾಗಲಿ’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾನೆ” ಅಂದರು.
Moreover thus said the king, Blessed [be] the Lord God of Israel, who has this day appointed one of my seed sitting on my throne, and my eyes see it.
And all the guests of Adonias were dismayed, and every man went his way.
And Adonias feared because of Solomon, and arose, and departed, and laid hold on the horns of the altar.
51 ೫೧ ದೂತರು ಬಂದು ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗೆ, “ಅದೋನೀಯನು ನಿನಗೆ ಹೆದರಿ ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಯ ಕೊಂಬುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು, ‘ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಸಂಹರಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೆಂಬುದಾಗಿ ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ನನಗೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ’” ಎಂಬುದಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿದನು.
And it was reported to Solomon, saying, Behold, Adonias fears king Solomon, and holds the horns of the altar, saying, Let Solomon swear to me this day, that he will not slay his servant with the sword.
52 ೫೨ ಅವನು, “ಅದೋನೀಯನು ಯೋಗ್ಯತೆಯುಳ್ಳವನಾಗಿ ನಡೆಯುವುದಾದರೆ ಅವನ ಕೂದಲುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದನ್ನೂ ನೆಲಕ್ಕೆ ಬೀಳಗೊಡಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಅವನಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಟ್ಟತನವು ಕಂಡುಬರುವುದಾದರೆ ಅವನು ಸಾಯುವನು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಆಳುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಯ ಬಳಿಯಿಂದ ಕರೆಯಿಸಿದನು.
And Solomon said, If he should be a valiant man, there shall not a hair of his fall to the ground; but if evil be found in him, he shall die.
53 ೫೩ ಅವನು ಬಂದಾಗ ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗೆ ಸಾಷ್ಟಾಂಗನಮಸ್ಕಾರ ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಅವನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಲು ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
And king Solomon sent, and they brought him away from the altar; and he went in and did obeisance to king Solomon: and Solomon said to him, Go to thy house.
