ಯೋಹಾನನು ಬರೆದ ಮೊದಲನೆಯ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆ 3
1 ೧ ಇಗೋ, ನಾವು ದೇವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳೆಂದು ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಡುವುದರಲ್ಲಿ ತಂದೆಯು ಎಂಥಾ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯನ್ನು ನಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಇಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನಲ್ಲಾ! ನಾವು ಆತನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಾಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಲೋಕವು ಆತನನ್ನು ಅರ್ಥಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಇರುವುದರಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನೂ ಅರ್ಥಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
Behold, what manner of love, the Father hath bestowed upon us—that, children of God, we should be called, —and such we are! Therefore, the world understandeth us not, because it understood not him.
2 ೨ ಪ್ರಿಯರೇ, ನಾವು ಈಗ ದೇವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳಾಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಮುಂದೆ ನಾವು ಎಂಥವರಾಗಿರುತ್ತೆವೋ ಎಂಬುದು ಇನ್ನೂ ತಿಳಿದಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷನಾಗುವಾಗ ನಾವು ಆತನ ಹಾಗಿರುವೆವೆಂದು ಬಲ್ಲೆವು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಆತನಿರುವ ಪ್ರಕಾರವೇ ಆತನನ್ನು ನೋಡುವೆವು.
Beloved! now, are we, children of God; and, not yet, hath it been made manifest, what we shall be, —We know that, if it should be made manifest, like unto him, shall we be, because we shall see him, just as he is.
3 ೩ ಆತನ ಮೇಲೆ ಈ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟಿರುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನು ಆತನು ಶುದ್ಧನಾಗಿರುವಂತೆಯೇ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ತಾನು ಶುದ್ಧಿಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.
And, whosoever hath this hope on him, is purifying himself, just as, He, is pure.
Whosoever is committing sin, lawlessness also, is committing, and, sin, is, lawlessness;
5 ೫ ಪಾಪಗಳನ್ನು ನಿವಾರಣೆ ಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷನಾದನೆಂಬುದು ಮತ್ತು ಆತನಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಪವಿಲ್ಲವೆಂಬುದು ನಿಮಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತು.
And ye know, that, He, was made manifest—in order that, our sins, he should take away, and, sin, in him, is there none.
Whosoever, in him, doth abide, is not sinning: whosoever is sinning, hath not seen him, and doth not understand him.
7 ೭ ಪ್ರಿಯರಾದ ಮಕ್ಕಳೇ, ಯಾರೂ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಮೋಸಗೊಳಿಸದಿರಲಿ. ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನು ಹೇಗೆ ನೀತಿವಂತನಾಗಿದ್ದನೋ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನೀತಿಯನ್ನನುಸರಿಸುವವನು ನೀತಿವಂತನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
Dear children! Let, no one, lead you astray! He that is doing righteousness, is, righteous, just as, He, is righteous:
8 ೮ ಪಾಪಮಾಡುವವನು ಸೈತಾನನಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟವನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಆದಿಯಿಂದಲೂ ಸೈತಾನನು ಪಾಪಮಾಡುವವನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಸೈತಾನನ ಕೆಲಸಗಳನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ದೇವಕುಮಾರನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷನಾದನು.
He that is committing sin, is, of the adversary, because, from the beginning, the adversary is sinning. To this end, was the Son of God made manifest, in order that he might undo the works of the adversary.
9 ೯ ದೇವರಿಂದ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದವನು ಪಾಪಮಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ದೇವರ ಸ್ವಭಾವವು ಅವನಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಅವನು ದೇವರಿಂದ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ಕಾರಣ ಪಾಪಮಾಡಲಾರನು.
Whosoever hath been born of God, is not committing, sin, because, a seed of him, within him, abideth; and he cannot be committing sin, because, of God, hath he been born.
10 ೧೦ ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ದೇವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಯಾರೆಂಬುದು ಹಾಗೂ ಸೈತಾನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಯಾರೆಂಬುದು ಇದರಿಂದ ತಿಳಿದುಬರುತ್ತದೆ. ನೀತಿಯನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸದವರೂ ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸದವರೂ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟವರಲ್ಲ.
Herein, are, manifest, the children of God, and the children of the adversary: Whoever is not doing righteousness, is not of God, nor yet he that is not loving his brother.
Because, this, is the message which ye have heard from the beginning—that we should be loving one another, —
12 ೧೨ ಕೆಡುಕುನಾಗಿದ್ದು ತನ್ನ ತಮ್ಮನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿದ ಕಾಯಿನನಂತೆ ನಾವು ಇರಬಾರದು. ಅವನು ಯಾಕೆ ತಮ್ಮನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದು ಹಾಕಿದನು? ತನ್ನ ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳು ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದು ಮತ್ತು ತನ್ನ ತಮ್ಮನ ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳು ನೀತಿಯುಳ್ಳವುಗಳೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದುದರಿಂದಲೇ.
Not just as, Cain, was, of the wicked one, and slew his brother! And, for what cause, slew he him? Because, his works, were, wicked, whereas, those of his brother, were, righteous.
Be not marveling, brethren, if, the world, is hating you:
14 ೧೪ ನಾವಂತೂ ಕ್ರೈಸ್ತಸಹೋದರರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವವರಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಮರಣದಿಂದ ಪಾರಾಗಿ ನಿತ್ಯಜೀವದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರಿದ್ದೇವೆಂಬುದು ನಮಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಾಗಿದೆ. ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸದೆ ಇರುವವನು ಮರಣದಲ್ಲೇ ಇದ್ದಾನೆ.
We, know, that we have passed over out of death into life, because we love the brethren: he that loveth not, abideth in death.
15 ೧೫ ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನನ್ನು ದ್ವೇಷಿಸುವವನು ಕೊಲೆಗಾರನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಮತ್ತು ಯಾವ ಕೊಲೆಗಾರನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಿತ್ಯಜೀವವು ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೆಂಬುದು ನಿಮಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಾಗಿದೆ. (aiōnios g166)
Whosoever is hating his brother, is, a murderer; and ye know that, no murderer, hath life age-during, within him abiding. (aiōnios g166)
16 ೧೬ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನು ನಮಗೋಸ್ಕರ ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ದೇವರ ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಇಂಥದ್ದೆಂದು ನಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿದು ಬಂದಿದೆ. ನಾವು ಸಹ ಸಹೋದರರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ನಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಾಣಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವ ಹಂಗಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದೇವೆ.
Hereby, have we come to understand love: in that, He, for us, his life laid down; and, we, ought, for the brethren, our lives to lay down.
17 ೧೭ ಆದರೆ ಈ ಲೋಕದ ಸಂಪತ್ತುಳ್ಳ ಯಾರಾದರೂ ಕೊರತೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಕನಿಕರಪಡದೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟರೆ ದೇವರ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯು ಅವನಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿರಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವೇ?
But, whoso hath this world’s goods, and beholdeth his brother having, need, and shutteth up his tender affections from him, how, is, the love of God, abiding in him?
18 ೧೮ ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಿಯ ಮಕ್ಕಳೇ, ನೀವು ಬರೀ ಮಾತಿನಿಂದಾಗಲಿ, ಬಾಯುಪಚಾರದಿಂದಾಗಲಿ, ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವವರಾಗಿರದೆ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ಮತ್ತು ನಿಜ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಿಂದ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವವರಾಗಿರಬೇಕು.
Dear children! Let us not be loving in word, nor yet with the tongue, but in deed and truth.
19 ೧೯ ನಾವು ಸತ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿದವರೆಂಬುದು ಇದರಿಂದಲೇ ನಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯುತ್ತದೆ, ನಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯವು ದೇವರ ಸಮಕ್ಷಮದಲ್ಲಿ ದೋಷರಹಿತವಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ.
Hereby, shall we get to know, that, of the truth, we are, and, before him, shall persuade our heart;
20 ೨೦ ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯವು ಯಾವ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಾದರು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ದೋಷಿಗಳೆಂದು ನಿರ್ಣಯಿಸಿದರೆ, ದೇವರು ನಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯವನ್ನು ಬಲ್ಲವನಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯವನ್ನು ಆತನಲ್ಲಿ ದೃಢಪಡಿಸಬಹುದು.
Because, if our own heart condemn us, greater, is God, than our heart, and perceiveth all things.
21 ೨೧ ಪ್ರಿಯರೇ, ನಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯವು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ದೋಷಿಗಳೆಂದು ಖಂಡಿಸಿ ನಡೆದರೆ ದೇವರ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಮಗೆ ಭರವಸೆ ದೊರೆಯುತ್ತದೆ.
Beloved! if our heart be not condemning us, boldness, have we, towards God;
22 ೨೨ ಆತನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಂಡು ಆತನಿಗೆ ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಕೆಯಾಗುವ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವವರಾದರೆ ನಾವು ಏನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡರೂ ಆತನಿಂದ ಹೊಂದುವೆವು.
And, whatsoever we are asking, we are receiving from him, because, his commandments, are we keeping, and, the things that are pleasing before him, are we doing.
23 ೨೩ ದೇವರ ಆಜ್ಞೆ ಯಾವುದೆಂದರೆ ನಾವು ಆತನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನನ್ನು ನಂಬಿ ಆತನು ನಮಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿರುವ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಒಬ್ಬರನ್ನೊಬ್ಬರು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಬೇಕೆಂಬುದೇ.
And, this, is his commandment, —that we should believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and be loving one another—just as he gave a commandment unto us.
24 ೨೪ ಆತನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಂಡು ನಡೆಯುವವನು ಆತನಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿರುತ್ತಾನೆ ಮತ್ತು ದೇವರು ಆತನಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿರುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಆತನು ಅವನಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿರುತ್ತಾನೆ. ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾನೆಂದು ಆತನು ನಮಗೆ ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸಿರುವ ಆತ್ಮನಿಂದ ನಾವು ಬಲ್ಲವರಾಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ.
And, he that keepeth his commandments, in him, abideth, and, he, in him. And, hereby, perceive we, that he abideth in us, by reason of the Spirit which, unto us, he hath given.
