In the eighth month in the second year of Darius, this message of the Lord came to the prophet Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo:
2 Nagra Ra Anumzamo'na kagehemokizmia tusi'a narimpa ahezmante'noe.
The Lord was furious with your ancestors.
3 E'ina hu'negu amanage hunka vahetmina zamasamio, Hihamu'ane Ra Anumzamo'a amanage nehie, Ete rukrahe huta Nagrite enkena, Nagra Hihamuane Anumzamo'na ete rukrahe hu'na tamagritera va'neno, huno Hihamunentake Ra Anumzamo'a nehie.
So tell the people this message of the Lord of hosts: ‘Return to me,’ says the Lord of hosts, ‘and I will return to you’ says the Lord of hosts.
4 Ko'ma tamagehe'mozama hu'naza zana osiho. Hagi tamagehemo'zama kefo zamavu'zmavazama nehazage'za ko'ma mani'za e'naza kasnampa vahe'mo'zama huama hu'za, Hihamunentake Ra Anumzamo'a amanage nehie, menina kefo avu'ava zama nehaza zana atreta tamagu'a rukrahe hiho hu'za hunazanagi, ana keni'a antahi'za zamagu'a rukrahera osu'naze, huno Ra Anumzamo'a nehie.
‘Do not be like your ancestors to whom the former prophets cried, “The Lord of hosts says to turn now from your evil ways, and from your evil deeds”. They did not heed nor listen to me,’ says the Lord.
5 Tamagehe'za menina iga mani'naze? Hagi kasnampa vahe'mo'za ofri mani vava hu'za nevazafi?
‘Your ancestors, where are they? And the prophets, do they live forever?

Agra nazano huramantegahuema huno'ma hu'nea zana hurante'ne.
But did not my words and my statutes with which I charged my servants the prophets overtake your ancestors? And they repented and said, “Just as the Lord of hosts planned to do to us, according to our ways, and according to our deeds, so he has dealt with us.”’
7 Hagi Dairusi'ma mago kafuma kinima manivagareteno namba 2 kafuma nemanigeno, 11ni ikamofona 24 zupa Ra Anumzamo'a mago'ane Kasnampa ne' Berekia nemofo, Ido negeho Zekaraia'na amanage huno kea nasami'ne,
In the twenty-fourth day of the eleventh month, which is the month Shebat, in the second year of Darius, this message of the Lord came to the prophet Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo:
8 Kenagera ava'nagnaza negogeno, mago krahopi miteli zafarami me'nefi koranke hosi afumo'a oti'negeno, ana hosi afu agumpina mago ne' mani'nege'na ke'noe. Hagi ana ne'mofo amefira koranke'ma, osapake'ene efeke hosi afutami mani'nazage'na ke'noe.
I saw in the night a man on a red horse, among the myrtle trees that were in the valley-bottom. Behind him there were horses, red, sorrel, and white.
9 Anazama nege'na nagri'enema nanekema nehia ankerona amanage hu'na antahige'noe, Ranimoka, ama zana nazane? Anagema hugeno'a nagri'enema nanekema nehia ankeromo'a amanage huno kenona hu'ne, E'i zana nazampi, nagra kaveri hugahue huno hu'ne.
Then said I, ‘My Lord, what are these?’ And the messenger who was talking with me said, ‘I will show you what they are.’
10 Hagi miteli zafaramimofo amu'nompi mani'nea ne'mo'a amanage huno nasmi'ne, Ama nagara Ra Anumzamo'a ama mopafima vano huta na'a fore nehifi keho huno'ma huzmante'nea nagare.
And the man who was standing among the myrtle trees answered, ‘They are those whom the Lord has sent to patrol the earth.’
11 Anage higeno hosi agumpima mani'naza naga'mo'za Ra Anumzamofo ankeroma miteli zafa amu'nompima oti'nea nera amanage hu'za asami'naze, Ama mopafima vanoma huta konana, mika ama mopafima mani'naza vahe'mo'za fru hu'za akohe'za mani'naze.
And the riders answered the messenger of the Lord who was standing among the myrtle trees, ‘We have gone up and down through the world and behold, all the earth is still and at peace.’
12 Anagema higeno'a Ra Anumzamofo ankeromo'a amanage hu'ne, Monafi sondia vahe'mokizmi Ra Anumzamoka nama'a zupa Jerusalemi kumaku'ene Juda mopafima me'nea rankumataminkura kasunkura huozmante krimpa ahezmantenka vugahane? Karimpama ahezmantenkama e'nanana hago 70'a kafu evie.
Then the messenger of the Lord said, ‘Lord of hosts, how long will you have no pity for Jerusalem and the cities of Judah with which you have been angry for seventy years?’
13 Higeno Ra Anumzamo'a asunku hunteno fru kefinti, nagri'enema keagama nehia ankerona kenona hunte'ne.
And the Lord answered the messenger who was talking with me with kind and comforting words.
14 Ana hutegeno nagri'enema keagama hu'nea ankeromo'a amanage hu'ne, Monafinka sondia vahe'mofo Ra Anumzamo'a amanage hie hunka ranke hunka huama huo. Jerusalemi kumaku'gu'ene Saioni kumaku'enena tusiza hu'na navesia nentoe.
So the messenger who was talking with me said to me, ‘Proclaim now that the Lord of hosts says: I am deeply concerned for Jerusalem.
But I am deeply angry with the arrogant, complacent nations. I was only a little angry with Israel but they made the suffering worse.
16 E'ina hu'negu Ra Anumzamo'a amanage nehie, Nagra nasunku hunezmante'na ete rukrahe hu'na Jerusalemi oankino, Nagri nona ana kumapina ete eri so'e hu'za ki'nageno, mesarimima nehaza nofinu Jerusalemi kumara ante'za ke'za mesarimia hugahaze, huno Monafi sondia vahe'mofo Ra Anumzamo'a hu'ne.
Therefore, says the Lord, I am turning to show mercy to Jerusalem. My temple will be rebuilt in it, says the Lord of hosts, and a measuring line will be stretched over Jerusalem.
17 Monafi sondia vahe'mofo Ra Anumzamo'a amanage hie hunka ete mago'ene ranke hunka huama huo, Nagri rankuma'mo'a ete mago'ane mika zampina knare huno hageno marerinigeno, Ra Anumzamo'a mago'ane Saionia azeri so'e nehuno, nagri rankumare huno Jerusalemia huhamprigahie.
Proclaim again: Thus says the Lord of hosts: My cities will again overflow with prosperity and the Lord will again comfort Zion and choose Jerusalem.’
18 Anante nagra kesga hu'na navuga koana, 4'a pazive me'nege'na ke'noe.
Now I looked up and saw four horns.
19 Nagranema keaga nehia ankero nera anante amanage hu'na antahige'noe. Ama zana nazane hu'na antahigogeno, amanage huno kenona hu'ne, E'i pazivetamina Juda vahe'ene, Israeli vahe'ene, Jerusalemi vahe'enema zamahe panani'ma hazage'za panani'ma hu'za fre'naza pazivetamine hu'ne.
I said to the messenger who was talking with me, ‘What are these?’ He answered, ‘These are the horns which scattered Judah, Israel and Jerusalem.’
20 Anante Ra Anumzamo'a 4'a vahetmima ainireti'ma keonke zama troma nehaza vahetmina naveri hu'ne.
Then the Lord showed me four smiths.
I said, ‘What are these coming to do?’ He answered, ‘The horns scattered Judah, so that no one dared lift their head. But the smiths have come to terrify them, to crush the horns of the nations which lifted up their horn against the land of Judah to scatter its people.’
