1 Jiu vaherema nehazana, nankna knare'za eri forera nehaze? Hifi oku'a tavufgama tagahu tavutava zampintira na'a taza hu'zana enerize?
What is the advantage, then, of being a Jew? or what is the good of circumcision?
2 Anampina rama'a tamaza hu'za me'negeta enerize! Ese zana Anumzamofo oku me'nea ke'a Jiu vaheku antahiramino eri'ama hu'ne.
Great in every way. First of all, because the Jews were entrusted with God’s utterances.
3 Ana hanigeno mago'amo'zama zamentintima osanageno'a, ana zamentintima osnazazamo'a, Anumzamo'ma huvempa hu'nea ke'a rufutagigahifi?
What follows then? Some, no doubt, showed a want of faith; but will their want of faith make God break faith? Heaven forbid!
4 I'o, Anumzamoke fatgo hu'neanki, maka vahe'mota havige vahe mani'none. Avontafepima krente'neana Kema hananana vahe'mo'za tamage hu'za nehnagenka kegagare kavrentesazana zamageteregahane hu'ne. (Sam-Zga 51:4)
God must prove true, though every man prove a liar! As Scripture says of God — ‘That thou mayest be pronounced righteous in what thou sayest, and gain thy cause when men would judge thee.’
5 Hianagi tagri fatgo osu tavu'tavazamo'ma, Anumzamofo fatgo avu'avazama eri fore'ma nehanigeta, tagra na'ane huta hugahune? Anumzamo'ma rimpaheranteno knazama tamisiana, e'i fatgo avu'ava hugahifi? (Vahe'mota antahintahire, ama'ina kea nehue.)
But what if our wrong-doing makes God’s righteousness all the clearer? Will God be wrong in inflicting punishment? (I can but speak as a man.) Heaven forbid!
6 I'o, Anumzamo'ma fatgoma osu'nesuno'a mopafi vahe'ene mikozana refko huga osu'neankino, inankna huno refko hugahie?
Otherwise how can God judge the world?
7 Nagri havigemo'ma Anumzamofo fatgo avu'avazampine masa'afima eama hanigeno'a, na'ante Anumzamo'a kumi vahe mani'nane huno hugahie?
But, if my falsehood redounds to the glory of God, by making his truthfulness more apparent, why am I like others, still condemned as a sinner?
8 Hagi mago'amo'za tananke nekafriankna hu'za kegaga zamifintira kea nehu'za, mago'ane kumira nehanunkeno knare'za efore hanie hu'za nehaze. Iza'o e'inahukna nanekema nehanimo'a kna erinogu nehie.
Why should we not say — as some people slanderously assert that we do say — ‘Let us do evil that good may come’? The condemnation of such men is indeed just!
9 Hagi na'ane huta hugahune, tagra Jiu vahe'mota mago'a nagara zamagetereta knare hu'none hugahumpi? I'o, na'ankure tagra ko ana miko Jiu vahero, megi'a vahera kumimofo hankavemo refitezmantenegeta zamageta antahita hu'none. Hagi Jiu vahe'mota ru vahera zmageterenompi?
What follows, then? Are we Jews in any way superior to others? Not at all. Our indictment against both Jews and Greeks was that all alike were in subjection to sin.
10 Avontafepi krente'neana, Magora fatgo vahera omani'ne. Magore huno omanitfa hu'ne.
As Scripture says — ‘There is not even one who is righteous,
11 Magore huno ama' antahi'zane vahera omanine. Mago'mo'e huno Anumzamofonkura nohakre.
not one who understands, not one who is searching for God!
12 Miko vahe'mo'za zamagena hunemi'za, ana miko'mo'za haviza nehaze. Magore huno knare'za nehia vahera omanine. Magore huno omanitfa hu'ne. (Sam-Zga 14:1-3)
They have all gone astray; they have one and all become depraved; there is no one who is doing good — no, not one!’
13 Zamanankemo'a mati kerigamo hagaro huriankna nehie. Zamagefu'nafina havigemo avite'ne. Ha' osifavemofo avuatga zama'amo zamagitera me'ne.
‘Their throats are like opened graves; they deceive with their tongues.’ ‘The venom of serpents lies behind their lips,’
14 Zamagitera vahe'ma sifnama huntezane, aka kegagamo avite'ne. (Sam-Zga 10:7)
‘And their mouths are full of bitter curses.’
15 Vahe'ma zamahe fri zantera ame'ama nehaze.
‘Swift are their feet to shed blood.
16 Inantego vazana vahe'ma zamazeri haviza hu'zane vahe'mofoma knama amizamo nezmavararie.
Distress and trouble dog their steps,
17 Inankna hu'za zamarimpa frua erigahaze zamagra ontahi'naze. (Ais 59:7-8)
and the path of peace they do not know.’
18 Anumzamofonku koro hu'zana nomane. (Sam-Zga 36:1.)
‘The fear of God is not before their eyes.’
19 Tagra antahi'none kasegama krente'nea ke'mo'a kasegema eri'naza vahe nezmasamie. Ana hanigeno mago'mo'a huno nagra fatgo vahe mani'noe huno osugahie. I'o miko mopafi vahe'mota Anumzamofo avurera hazenketi me'nea vahe mani'none.
Now we know that everything said in the Law is addressed to those who are under its authority, in order that every mouth may be closed, and the whole world become liable to the judgment of God.
20 Na'ankure kasegemo'ma hu'neazama avarari zampintira, Anumzamofo avufina mago vahe'mo'a fatgo vahe mani'noe huno osugahie. Na'ankure kasegemo, kumimofo keno antahino huzana erifore nehie.
For ‘no human being will be pronounced righteous before God’ as the result of obedience to Law; for it is Law that shows what sin is.
21 Hu'neanagi menina Anumzamofo fatgozana, kasege amage'ante zantetirompage, kasefa ka taveri hu'ne. Korapama Mosese'ma krente'nea avompima huvempa nehigeno, kasnampa vahe'mo'za hu'naza kante efore nehie.
But now, quite apart from Law, the Divine Righteousness stands revealed, and to it the Law and the Prophets bear witness —
22 Tagrama fatgo huta Anumzamofonte manisune hanuta, Jisas Kraisinte tamentintia hanunkeno, Anumzamo'a fatgo vahe mani'naze huno hurantegahie. Mago kana omnetfa hu'ne. I'o.
the Divine Righteousness which is bestowed, through faith in Jesus Christ, upon all, without distinction, who believe in him.
23 Na'ankure maka'mota kumi huta Anumzamofona hanave'ane kumapina umanigara osuta, atupa hu'nonane.
For all have sinned, and all fall short of God’s glorious ideal,
24 Anumzamo'a knare eri'zama asuragiranteno Kraisimpi eri'nea zanteti, tamagra fatgo vahe mani'naze hu'ne. Agra e'i ana zana Kraisimpi miza seranteno katufegeta, kumipintira fru huta mani'none.
but, in his loving-kindness, are being freely pronounced righteous through the deliverance found in Christ Jesus.
25 Anumzamo'a, Jisasina tamigeno kumitimofo nona huno korama'a tagino, kumitia apaserante'nea zamo'a Anumzamo'a agru huno fatgo hu'neankita, Agritema tamentinti hanuta Anumzamofontera egahune. Anumzamo'ma e'inahu hu'neazamo, Anumzamo'a fatgo hu'ne nehie. Ko'ma kumi hu'naza vahe'ma akoheno mani'neno kumizmia atrezmante'nea zamo'a eama hu'ne. E'ina zamo'enena eriama huno Jisasimpima zamentintima haza vahe'ma nezmavrea zamo'a taveri huno Anumzamo'a fatgo hu'ne nehie.
For God set him before the world, to be, by the shedding of his blood, a means of reconciliation through faith. And this God did to prove his righteousness, and because, in his forbearance, he had passed over the sins that men had previously committed;
26 Na'ankure e'i anazama hiazanteti, Agra'a fatgozana meni knafina eriama nehie. Hanigeno kumi vahe'mo'za fatgo vahe mani'naze haniana, e'i Jisasi Kraisimpima zamentinti hanaza vaheku Anumzamo'a fatgo vahere huno huzmantegahie.
as a proof, I repeat, at the present time, of his own righteousness, that he might be righteous in our eyes, and might pronounce righteous the man who takes his stand on faith in Jesus.
27 Hagi tagra naza hunonkeno Anumzamo'a tavrenegu tavufga erisaga hugahune? Kasegema amage'ma ante avu'avazamopi? Knare eri'zama e'nerunazamo'o? I'o. Tamentintima hu'zamo tavufama erisga hu'zana agatere'ne.
What, then, becomes of our boasting? It is excluded. By what sort of Law? A Law requiring obedience? No, a Law requiring faith.
28 Tagri'ma tazeri knare'ma higeta Anumzamofo avure'ma fatgo hu'nonana kasegema amage'ante zampitiro'ompge tamentitima hunkeno tazeri fatgo hu'ne.
For we conclude that a man is pronounced righteous on the ground of faith, quite apart from obedience to Law.
29 Agra, Jiu vahe'mokizimi Anumzanke mani'nefi? Agra megi'a vahe'mokizimi Anumzanke maninefi? I'o, Agra ana mikomota Anumza mani'ne.
Or can it be that God is the God only of the Jews? Is not he also the God of the Gentiles?
30 Zamufga taga hu'naza vahe'ene, zamufa taga osu vahe'mofona, Magoke Anumzanke mani'neankino, zamentintima haza vaheku fatgo vahe mani'naze nehie.
Yes, of the Gentiles also, since there is only one God, and he will pronounce those who are circumcised righteous as the result of faith, and also those who are uncircumcised on their showing the same faith.
31 Hagi tagra tamentintiguke nehuta, kasegegura amnezane hugahumpi? I'o, tagrama tamentintima hanuta kasegemofona tamage huta avariri fatgo hugahune.
Do we, then, use this faith to abolish Law? Heaven forbid! No, we establish Law.
