Yahweh, I love you, the one who enables me to be strong.
2 Ra Anumzamo'a ra haveni'ane, vihuni'a mani'neno nagura nevaziankina, agripinka frakugeno hankoni'a mani'neno nagura nevazie. Ra Anumzamo'a nagri hankone hankavenine nazahu have mani'neno, fraki kumani'a mani'ne.
Yahweh is like an [overhanging] rock [DOU, MET] [under which I can hide from my enemies]; he is like a strong fortress, the one who protects me; he protects me like a shield [MET] [protects a soldier]; he is the one to whom I go (for refuge/to be protected/safe), and he defends me by his great power [IDM].
3 Nagra Ra Anumzamofonku nunamu hu'na antahigogeno, ha' vahe'nimofo azampintira naza hu'neanki'na, Ra Anumzamofona ra agi nemina agi'a hentesga hugahue.
I called out to Yahweh, who deserves to be praised, and he rescued me from my enemies.
4 Nofi'mo nazeri kagiankna huno fri'zamo'a nazeri kanegigeno, ti hageno refiteankna huno hazenkezamo'a refitenante'ne.
All around me were dangerous situations in which I might be killed [PRS]; it was as though there were huge waves [MET] that almost crashed on me and killed me.
5 Hagi fri'zamo'a nofikna huno anaki nenantegeno, fri'zamo'a krifumo zagagafa azeriankna huno naze'nerie. (Sheol h7585)
[It was as though] the place where dead people are had ropes that were wrapped around me, or [it was as though] there was a trap [MET] that would [seize and] kill me. (Sheol h7585)
6 Hagi nagra narimpa natazane knazanifi mani'nena Ra Anumzamofona krafage hunentogeno, Agra ra mono noma'afinti ana krafageni'a agesa anteno antahi'ne.
But when I was very distressed, I called out to Yahweh, and from his temple he heard me. He listened to me when I cried out [for help].
7 Hagi mopamo'a imi e'nerigeno, toretore nehigeno, agonamofo tramo'a kazakaza hu'ne. Na'ankure Ra Anumzamofona arimpa ahenegeno anara hu'ne.
Then the earth quaked/shook strongly [DOU]; the mountains shook very strongly from their centers [DOU] because Yahweh was angry.
8 Hagi agonagampintira toki nehigeno, agipintira maka'zama tefanene hu tevemo hagana hagana nehigeno, teve tankanu'zamo ankanuferami ankanuferami hu'ne.
[It was as though] smoke poured out from his nostrils, and [as though] burning coals came out of his mouth.

He opened the sky and came down with a black cloud under his feet.

He flew, riding on the back of a creature that had wings, traveling [fast], blown along by the wind.
11 Hagi haninu agra'a azeri ano nevazino, koma neria hamponteti Agra'a azeri ano vazinte'ne.
Darkness was all around him [like a blanket] [MET]; dark clouds, full of moisture, covered him [MET].
12 Hagi masazama'amo'a ana hampona rupapa huno nevigeno, komopa komo'a nehigeno, tevemo'a teragareno vuno eno huno erami'ne.
Hailstones and flashes of lightning were around him; hail and burning coals fell from the sky.
13 Hagi marerifa Ra Anumzamo monafinkati kema nehigeno'a, agerumo'a tusi'a monage hiaza hu'ne. Hagi kema nehigeno'a, tevemo'a ankanuferamino vuno eno nehigeno, komopa komo'a hu'ne.
Then Yahweh [spoke in a loud voice] from the sky, and [his enemies] heard his voice that sounded like thunder.
14 Hagi Agra keve'aramina ahetreno ha' vahe'a zamahe panani nehuno, tusi'a masa'areti kopasinamo ru marave marave hiaza huno zamahe savri hu'ne.
He shot his arrows at them and caused them to scatter; His flashes of lightning caused them to become very confused (OR, to run away).
15 Hagi Ra Anumzamoka kasimu'ma nentankeno'a, hagerimo'a apapa huno vuno eno higeno mopa fore nehigeno, tusi'a keri fore higeno, mopama azeri'nea tra'mo'a amate me'ne.
The bottom of the ocean became visible, and the foundations of the earth were uncovered, when Yahweh rebuked his enemies when he snorted.

[It was as though] he reached down from heaven and grabbed me and pulled me up out of the deep ocean.

He rescued me from my strong enemies who hated me; they were very strong, with the result that I [could not defeat them].
18 Ha' vahenimo'za hanaveni'ama omnea knafi hara eme hunante'nazanagi, Ra Anumzamo'a naza hu'ne.
When I (was distressed/had troubles), they attacked me, but Yahweh defended/protected me.
19 Hago Agra navareno nagu'vazinia kumapi ome nantene. Na'ankure Agra nagria muse hunante'negu anara hu'ne.
He led me to a place where I was safe; he rescued me because he was pleased with me.
20 Hagi Ra Anumzamo'ma knare'ma hunante'neana, nagrama fatgo navunava'ma hu'noa zante nona huno mizani'a nami'ne. Nazamo'a agru higena mago hazenke'ma osu'noa zante, nona huno mizana nami'ne.
Yahweh has rewarded me because I do what is right; he has blessed me because I (am innocent/have not done things that are wrong).
21 Na'ankure nagra Ra Anumzamofona kasege'a amage nentena, nagra havi navu'navara hu'na Anumzamofona otre'nogu huno anara hu'ne.
I have obeyed Yahweh’s laws; I have not abandoned him.
22 Nagra kasegea mika amage nentena, magore hu'na tra ke'a ruotagre'noe.
My behavior was directed by his rules; I have not stopped obeying them.
23 Nagra kumira nosuna, Ra Anumzamofo avufina kumi'ma huzankura kegava hu'na mani'noe.
He knows that I have not done what is wrong; I have kept myself from sinning.
24 Ana hu'negu Ra Anumzamo'a knare navu'nava'ma hunore nona huno mizana nami'ne. Na'ankure Agrama keana nagri nzampina hazenke'zana omneno agru hu'negu huno, anara hu'ne.
So he rewards me because I do what is right; he knows that I [SYN] have not committed sins.
25 Hagi manifatgoma huza maniza vahera, fatgo kavukva hunezamantenka, hazenkezmima omne vahera knare kavukva hunezmantane.
Yahweh, you are faithful to those who faithfully [do what you tell them to do]; you always do what is good/right to those who do what you want them to do.
26 Hagi agruma hu'nea zamavu zamava'ma nehaza vahera, agru hu'nea kavukava hunezmantenka, fatgoma osu zamavuzamava nehaza vahera, fatgo kavukva hunka, ana avu'avazantera nona hunezmantane.
You are kind to those who are kind to others, but you act wisely toward those who (act perversely/do bad things).
27 Hagi zamavufagama anteramiza maniza vahera zamazeri antesaga nehunka, zamavufagama antemareriza vahera zamazeri fenkami netrane.
You save those who are humble, but you cause those who are proud to be humiliated/ashamed.
28 Hagi Ra Anumzamoka Kagra tavira rekru hunenantenka, hanizana nagripintira eri netrane.
You give light to my [soul/spirit]; you take away the darkness of my soul.
29 Hagi Anumzanimoka Kagra nzahankena hanave ha' vaheni'a nezamahe'na, Kagra nzahankena ranra kuma kegina takaure'na nevue.
You enable me to be strong, with the result that I can run and attack a line of enemy soldiers; with your help I can (scale/climb up) the walls [that surround my enemies’ cities].
30 Anumzamofo avu'avamo'a knare hu'ne. Ra Anumzamoka ke'mo'a tamage ke me'ne. Hagi Agra hankogna hu'nege'za vahe'mo'za agripinka ome franekize.
Everything that Yahweh my God does is perfect. We can depend on him to do what he promises. He is like a shield [MET] to protect all those who go to him for refuge.
31 E'ina hunanku ina Anumzamo kagri knara huno Ra Anumzana mani'ne? Magore huno ra anumzana omani'neanki, tagri Anumzamoka Kagrake hanavenentake havetia mani'nenka, kva hunerantane.
Yahweh is [RHQ] the only one who is God; only he is like an [overhanging] rock [under which we can be safe].
32 Hagi magoke Anumzamo agrake hanavea nenamino, fatgo kantera knare huno navareno nevie.
God is the one who enables me to be strong and who keeps me safe on the roads that I walk on.
33 Hagi Agra nagiamofona azeri hanavetige'na dia afumo'zama nehazaza hu'na agona morusapina vano nehu'na, tarakara nosue.
He enables me to [walk swiftly without stumbling], like a deer walks/runs in the mountains.
34 Hagi Ra Anumzamo'a ha'ma hu'zana rempi hunenamino, hanave namige'na bronsireti tro hu'naza hanavenentake atia erigrinkenke nehue.
He teaches me how to use a strong/metal bow in order that I can use it to fight in battles.
35 Hagi Ra Anumzamoka Kagra nagu'vazi hanko nenaminka, tamaga kazanu nazerisga hankena, hara hu'na vahe'mokizmi zamavurera nagine vahera mani'noe.
Yahweh, you protect and save me with your shield; you have made me safe by your power [MTY]. I have become (strong/a great [king]) because you have helped me.
36 Hagi nagamo'ma krarizankura Kagra ranka varinantanke'na traka osu nevue.
You have cleared the road for me, with the result that now I do not slip/stumble.
37 Hagi nagra ha' vaheni'a zamarotago hu'na ome zamazeneri'na, zamarotago huge'na otre'noanki, zamarotago huvava hu'na miko zazmia eri haviza nehu'na zamahe vagare'noe.
I have pursued my enemies and caught them; I did not stop until I had defeated/killed them all.
38 Hagi nagra zamahe'na rehapatuge'za, nagafi ufrinte efrinte hu'za oratigara osu'naze.
When I strike them, they are not able to get up again; they lie on the ground, defeated.
39 Hagi ha' vaheni'anema ha'ma hanua hanavea Kagra nenaminka, ha' vaheni'a zamatranke'za nagafi eme kepri hunante'naze.
You have enabled me to be strong in order that I can fight battles and defeat my enemies.
40 Hagi Kagra ha' vaheni'a zamazeri koro hanke'za, zamefira rukrahe hu'za onke fre'za vazage'na, zamavesrama hunenantaza vahera mika zamahe vagare'noe.
You caused my enemies to run away (OR, you enabled me to put my foot on my enemies’ necks [after I captured them and forced them to lie on the ground]); I have gotten rid of all those who hated me.
41 Hagi zamazama hanaza vaheku kezati'nazanagi, magomo'e huno zamaza osige'za, Ra Anumzamofonku taza huo hu'za hazanagi, zamaza osu'ne.
They called out for someone to help them, but no one saved them.
42 Hagi nagra ha' huzmante'na zamahe kasopoge'za, zahomo kugusopa eri hareno vuno eno hiankna hu'za miko kokantega umani emani hu'naze. Hagi ha' vaheni'a ha' huzmantena zamahena rehapatuge'za, kampi hapa kna hu'naze.
I pulverize them, with the result that they become like [MET] the dust that the wind [blows away]; I throw them out like [SIM] [people throw] dirt out into the streets.
43 Hagi Kagra ha'ma renenantazagenka, nagu'vazinka nzamahankena ha' vaheni'a hara huzamagatere'noe. Hagi Kagra kva vahera huhampri'nantake'na kumatamina kegava hu'noge'za, zamage'na antahina osu'noa vahe'mo'zanena nagri nagoraga manine'za erizani'a eri'naze.
You enabled me to defeat those who fought against me, and appointed me to be the ruler of [many]; people whom I did not know about previously are now slaves [in my kingdom].

When foreigners hear about me, they (cringe/bow low before me) and they obey me.

They are no longer courageous, and from their forts [where they were hiding] they come [to me] trembling.
46 Hagi kasefa huno mani'nea Ra Anumzana nagri fraki havenia mani'neanki'na, agi'a ahentesga nehu'na, nagu'ma vazi'nea Anumzamofo agi'a ahentesga hugahue.
Yahweh is alive! Praise the one who is like an [overhanging] rock [MET] [under which I am safe] Exalt the God who saves me!
47 Hagi ama ana Anumzamo, nagri'ma nazeri haviza hu'naza vahera nona huno zamazeri haviza nehuno, ru kazigati vahera zamavarenamige'za nagri nagafina mani'naze.
He enables me to get revenge on my enemies; he causes me to defeat nations and to rule over them,
48 Ha' vahe'ni'mo'zama nahenaku nehazageno'a naguvazi'ne. Hagi hazenke vahe'mo'zama nazeri havizama hu'za nehazagenka Kagra nagu'vazi'nane.
and he rescues me from my enemies. He has lifted me up high so that violent men could not reach me [and harm me].

So I praise him [and I tell] the nations [the great things that he has done].

He has enabled me, his king, to powerfully defeat my enemies; he faithfully loves me, David, the one he has chosen [to be king], and he will faithfully love my descendants forever.
