Mani'zanti Mofo Nanekee 24
1 Havi vahe'mo'ma hania avu'ava zankura kegasane huge, ana vahe'enema tragotenka mani'zankura, kagesa ontahitfa huo.
Do not envy evil people; do not desire to associate with them,
2 Na'ankure antahiza zamifina vahe'ma hazenke'zami antahi'zamo avitegeno, zamagipinti'ma atineramia ke'mo'a, hazenke erinte kege nehaze.
because they are [constantly] thinking about acting violently, and whenever they speak [MTY], they talk about (causing trouble/hurting someone).
3 Knare antahi'zanteti nona neginka, ama' antahi'zanteti eri hanavetigahane.
People make good houses (OR, families) by doing what is wise, and they make their houses (OR, families) strong by [heeding] good advice.
4 Antahi'zama eri'nenanteti, knare fenozane zago'amo'ma mareri zantamina nonka'afina erinte avitegahane.
By using good sense, [they are able to buy] valuable and beautiful things and put them in the rooms of their houses.
5 Ama' antahi'zane vahe'mo'za rama'a hanave eri'zageno, antahi'zama eri vahe'mo'za mago'ane hanavea e'nerize.
Being wise is better than being strong/powerful; those who know [many things can accomplish more] than those who are [very] strong.
6 Ha'ma hu'zante'ma ama' antahi'zama hunka e'orinesunka, hatera ovuo. Na'ankure rama'a vahe'mo'zama hate'ma vanana kavumro'ma kantesagenka, hara azeri agateregahane.
Leaders can fight battles if they have wise advisors, and they win those battles if they have many good advisors.
7 Knare antahi'zamo'a mesga hu'neanki'za, neginagi vahe'mo'za erigara osu'nazanki'za, rankumamofo kafante'ma kva vahe'mo'zama atruma hu'zama kema hanafina, mago kea osugahie.
Foolish people cannot understand wise sayings/talk; at public meetings they are not [able to] say anything [that is useful].
8 Kefo avu'ava'zama hu antahi'zama retro'ma nehaza vahe'mokizmigura, hazenke vahere hu'za nehaze.
Those who are [always] planning to do evil things will be called troublemakers.
9 Neginagi avu'ava'ma hu'zama retro'ma hanazana, kumi nehaze. Vahe'ma huhavizama hunezmantea vahe'mofona, vahe'mo'za zamavesra hu'za zamagote'nentaze.
It is sinful to plan to do foolish things, and people hate those who make fun of [everything that is good].
10 Knazampima unefrenka hanavema otisankeno'a, hanaveka'a omanegosie.
If you [act as though] you are helpless when you have troubles, you are [truly very] weak.
11 Havigema hu'za zamahe frinaku'ma hanaza vahera, zamaza huta zamavareho. Hagi zamahe frinaku hanaza vahera, zamaza huta zamavareho.
[If it is unjustly decided] that someone must be executed, [try hard to] rescue them [DOU].
12 Antahi'nesunka ontahi'noe hunka havigea osuo. Na'ankure Anumzamo'a kagu'a kageno antahino nehuno, kagu'a kegava hunegantea ne'mo'a, kagu'a kageno antahino osugahie hunka osuo. Miko vahe'mokizmia zamagrama hu'nesaza zamavu'zmavate anteno mizana zamamigahie.
If you say, “I did not know anything about it, [so (it is not my concern/I did not try to help him)],” remember that God knows what we have done, and he knows what we were thinking [IDM, RHQ], and he will certainly [RHQ] repay us as we deserve for what we have done or for not doing what we should have done.
13 Mofavre'nimoka tume rima'a no, na'ankure knare hu'neankino, kagitera haga hugahie.
My child/son, eat honey, because it is good [for you]; the honey that drips from honeycombs tastes [very] sweet.
14 E'i anahukna huno, ama' antahi'zamo'a kagu'afina haga hugahie. Hagi hakenkama erifore'ma hanankeno'a, henkama erigahue hunka amuha'ma nehana zamo'a, amnezanknara osugahie.
Similarly, being wise is good for your soul; if you become wise, you will be [happy in] the future, and [God] will certainly [do for you what you are] confidently expecting him to do [LIT].
15 Kefo vahe'moka fatgo vahe'mo'zama nemaniza nontera, zamazeri haviza hunakura kva hunka omanio. Hagi fatgo vahe'mo'za nemaniza kumara eri havizana osuo.
Do not be like wicked people who [hide and] wait to break into the houses of righteous/good [people] and rob/steal things.
16 Na'ankure fatgo vahe'mo'za, 7ni'a zupa evuramiga hazanagi, ete otigahaze. Hianagi kefo avu'ava'ma nehaza vahetema mago hazenkema esuno'a, eme zamazeri haviza hugahie.
[Even if] good people fall down seven/many times, they [always] stand/get up again, but when a disaster happens to wicked [people], it ruins/destroys them.
17 Ha'ma renegantesaza vahe'ma evuramisagenka, musena osuo. Hagi tanafa'ma hanaza zankura, musena osuo.
Do not be happy when something bad happens to one of your enemies; do not rejoice when he stumbles and falls,
18 Na'ankure Ra Anumzamo'a ana'ma hanankeno'a, negageno musena hunoganteno arimpahe zama'a anamofontetira eritregahie.
because Yahweh will know what you are thinking, and he will not like it, and [as a result] he will not punish that enemy of yours.
19 Kefo vahe'mofo avu'avakura korera hunka antahintahi hakarea nosunka, ana havi zamavu zamavakura kegasanea osuo.
Do not become angry/upset about those who do what is evil, and do not [SYN] envy them,
20 Na'ankure kefo zamavu'zava'ene vahe'mokizmia, henkama knare huzama mani'saza mani'zana omanesige'za, lamu tavi'mo asu hiankna hugahaze.
because [nothing good] will happen to wicked people; they are [like] a lamp that will soon be extinguished [MET].
21 Mofavre'nimoka, Ra Anumzamofone kinimofonena koro huneznantenka zanagorga nemaninka, ha'ma reznantesaza vahe'enena magopina tragoteta omaniho.
My child/son, revere Yahweh and [also] honor the king, and do not associate with people who want to rebel against either of them,
22 Na'ankure e'inahu vahetera, tusi'a hazenke zamo ame huno egahie. Ra Anumzamo'ene Kini ne'mo enema zamisaza knazana, mago'mo'e huno ontahitfa hugahie.
because those people will suddenly experience disasters; and no one knows [RHQ] what great disasters that God or the king can cause to happen to them.
23 Ama' antahi'zama eri'naza vahe'mo'za amanahu ke hugahaze. Nanekema trate refkoma hanuza magomofonkukera osugahaze.
Here are more things that wise [people] have said: It is wrong for judges to decide matters unfairly [IDM].
24 Iza'o kefozama hu'nesia neku'ma, kefozana osune huno'ma hanige'za, rama'a vahe'mo'za anagema hania nekura, huhaviza hunentesageno, kokankoka vahe'mo'za antahi haviza huntegahaze.
If they say to people who are guilty, “You (are innocent/have not done something that is wrong),” [even] people in other nations will curse and despise them,
25 Hu'neanagi iza'zo kefoza hu'nesia neku'ma, kefoza hu'ne hu'zama huama'ma hanamo'za, rama'a asomu eri'za rama'aza antegahaze.
but if judges say that guilty people must be punished, things will go well for those judges, and (they will receive blessings/God will bless them).
26 Tamagema huno ke nonama hu'zamo'a, e'i knare kvate knampaka'amo kanukino kantako huganteankna hugahie.
Those who answer others honestly show that they are truly their friends [IDM].
27 Kotazana hozama antesanaza retro hunka hoza antetenka, henka nonka'a kigahane.
First, do the work [that needs to be done] outside [your house], and prepare your fields, [and then plant things], and after you finish doing that, build your house.
28 Tava'onka'are'ma nemanisimofoma trate'ma kegagama hunentezama, kenana zanku nehazafi huama huo hanagenka, havigea hunka hazenkema osu'nesia zankura, hazenke hu'ne huonto.
[In the courtroom] do not testify against someone when you have no reason to do that, and do not [try to] deceive [people] by what you say [MTY].
29 Hagi zamagrama hunantesaza zana nona hu'na huzamantegahue hunka osuge, mago'mo'ma havizama hugantesiana, nona hu'na havizana huntegahue hunka osuo.
Do not say, “I will do to him what he did to me; I will pay him back for [the bad things that] he did to me.”
30 Nagra feru ne'mofo hozafine antahintahi'a omane ne'mofo waini hozafi agatere'na nevu'na koana,
One day I walked by the vineyards of a lazy man, a man who did not have good sense.
31 ave've trazamo'ene hozafi inozamo hageno ana hoza refitegeno, have keginama hugagi'nea zamo'a fraguvazirami'ne.
I was surprised to see that the fields were full of all kinds of thorny bushes, and the stone wall [around the garden] had (collapsed/fallen down).
32 Ana zama nege'na nagesama nentahugeno'a, mago'aza rempi hunami'ne.
When I saw that, I thought about it, and I learned this:
33 Osi'agna nagra navura masehimarege, osi'agna masege, osi'agna nazana anamagi'na manisga huge'ma hanugeno'a,
[If you spend a lot of time] sleeping and napping and folding your hands while you rest,
34 musufa vahe'mo'za mika fenozmi kumzafa sage'za, mika zazmimo'a ame huno vagaresige'za, zamunte omane vahe maniankna hugahaze.
[soon] you will become poor; [it will be as though] [PRS, SIM] a bandit who had a weapon in his hand [attacked you and stole all that you had].
