Those who want to know [what is right to do] want to be (disciplined/corrected) when they do what is wrong; it is foolish to not want to be (corrected/told that what you did is wrong).
2 Knare zamavu'zamava'ma nehaza vahera, Ra Anumzamo'a avesi nezamanteanagi, havi zamavu'zmava'ma hunaku'ma retroma nehaza vahera, Ra Anumzamo'a haviza hu'naze huno huzmantegahie.
Yahweh is pleased with good people, but he condemns those who plan to harm [others].
3 Kefozama hanaza zantetira mani'zazmia retrora osugahaze. Hianagi fatgo zamavu'zmavaza'ma hanazana, rafunare'za mani'nageno, vahe'mo'za eri tasagira osugahaze.
People do not become secure/safe by doing what is wicked; righteous [people] will be very safe and secure [LIT] like [MET] a tree that has deep roots.
4 Hentofa avu'ava'ene a'mo'a, nevena knare agi nemie. Hianagi knare avu'ava osania a'mo'a, nevena zaferinafi namureno kasriankna hugahie.
A good wife is one who causes her husband to be greatly honored, but a wife who does things that cause her husband to be ashamed [will destroy him] like [SIM] cancer [destroys] his bones.
5 Fatgo vahe'mo'ma antahi'zama retroma hania antahi'zamo'a, knare huno fatgo hu'ne. Hianagi havi zamavu'zamava nehanaza vahe'mo'zama, tami'naza antahi'zana, regavatga hugahaze.
What righteous [people] want to do is [to treat people] fairly; what wicked [people] want to do is to deceive people.
6 Kefo zamavu'zamava'ma nehaza vahe'mokizmi ke'mo'a, vahe zamahe nefria vahe'mokizmi zamazankna hu'ne. Hianagi fatgo vahe'mofo kemo'a, vahe'mokizmia zamagu'nevazie.
What wicked [people] say is like a trap [MET] that kills [MTY] people [who pass by], but what righteous [people] say [MTY] rescues those whom [wicked people threaten to harm].
7 Kefo zamavu zamava'ma nehaza vahe'mo'za, haviza hu'za fanane nehaze. Hianagi fatgo vahe'mokizmi naga'mo'za, oti hanavenetize.
Wicked [people] will die [before they become old and we will see] them no more, but righteous people will live [for many years] and have many descendants.
8 Antahi'zama'amo'ma knare'ma hu'nesia nera, vahe'mo'za husga huntegahaze. Hianagi antahi'za zmimo'ma fatgoma osu vahera, vahe'mo'za zamavesra huzmantegahaze.
[People will] praise those who have good sense, but [people will] despise those (who are always thinking about doing evil things/whose thinking is twisted).
9 Eri'za vahe'ama mani'ne'nia vahe'mo'ma, anteramino amane vahe maniazama hanimo'a, zamunte omane vahe'mo'za zamagra'a zamavufaga erisga nehazageno ne'zazmia omane vahera zamagatere'naze.
It is better to be a humble/ordinary person who has only one servant than to think that you are very important while you have nothing to eat.
10 Fatgo vahe'mo'a zagagafa'amofona kegavagriso'e hunezamante. Hianagi kefo zamavu'zamava'ma nehaza vahe'mo'za zagagafa zamia kegava hugahazanagi, kanonkeve zamigahaze.
Righteous people take care of their domestic animals, but wicked people act cruelly [toward their animals].
11 Amuho hu'za hozama antaza vahe'mo'za, rama'a ne'za me'nenige'za negahaze. Hianagi neginagi vahe'mo'za, nena raga'a omne'zante knazmia ahe fri'za eri'zana e'nerize.
Farmers who work hard in their fields will [produce good crops] that will give them plenty to eat, but those who waste their time working on worthless projects are foolish.
12 Kefo zamavu'zamava'ma nehaza vahe'mo'za kefo zamavu'zamava hu'za eri'za vahe'mokizmi zante ke zmanunu nehaze. Hianagi fatgo vahe'mo'za, arafuna rene'za raga rentegahaze.
Wicked [people] desire to take away what [other] evil people have, but [Yahweh] enables righteous/godly [people] to be steadfast and productive [MET].
13 Kefo zamavu'zamava'ma nehaza vahe'mo'za, havigema nehaza kezamifinti, krifu ahazankna nehaze. Hianagi fatgo vahe'mo'za ana krifufina ohe'za agateneraze.
Evil people are trapped by the evil things that they say [MTY], but righteous [people] escape from trouble.
14 Knare zamageru'ene vahe'mo'za, kezmireti knare'zana e'nerize. Hagi eri'za vahe'mo'za, anahu kna hu'za erizazmireti mizazmia e'nerize.
People are rewarded for [the good things] that they say [to others], and people are [also] rewarded for the good work that they do [MTY].
15 Neginagi vahe'mo'zama zamagesama antahi'zana, zamagrama nehaza zamo'a fatgo hu'ne hugahazanagi, ama' antahi'zane vahe'mo'za rumo'zama antahintahima zamizankea nentahize.
Foolish people [always] think that what they are doing is right; wise people heed [other people when they give them good] advice.
16 Neginagi vahe'mokizmia zamarimpa he'zamo'a ame huno amate eama hanigenka kegahananagi, ama' antahi'zane vahe'mo'a azeri havizama nehinkeno'a, rimpa he'zamo'a eama hanigenka onkegahane.
Foolish people quickly become angry when someone does something that they don’t like; but those who have good sense ignore it when others insult them.
17 Tamagema hu vahe'mo'a, keagare'ma otisimofona tamage huno hufore huntegahie. Hianagi havigema hu vahe'mo'a, keagare'ma otisimofona havige huno hu frakintegahie.
[In the courtroom], honest people say what is true, but untruthful/dishonest people tell [nothing but] lies.
18 Antahintahima osuno ame'ama huno hu ke'mo'a, kazimo vahe avufafi reankna nehie. Hianagi antahintahima huteno, keagagama hu vahe'mofo kemo'a, zamaza huno zamazeri neganamare.
What some people say [hurts people badly], as much as [SIM] a sword can; but what wise [people] say (heals [others’ souls]/comforts others).
19 Tamage ke'mo'a mevava hugahie. Hianagi havigema hu kemo'a, za'zatera omanegahie.
When people tell [MTY] lies, others soon realize that what they said is not true [IDM]; but when people say what is true, others will remember that forever.
20 Kefo antahintahine vahe'mokizmi zamagu'afina vahe'ma rezmavataga hu antahi'zamo avite'ne. Hianagi rimpa fru zanku'ma nehaza vahe'mo'za muse hugahaze.
Those who plan to do what is evil are always wanting to deceive [others], but things will go well for those who plan [to do] good things.
21 Fatgo vahe'mokizmirera hazenke zana omegahie. Hianagi havi zamavu'zamava'ene vahe'mokizmirera, hazenke zamo'a avitegahie.
Bad things [usually] [HYP] do not happen to righteous [people], but wicked [people] always have troubles.
22 Ra Anumzamo'a havigema nehaza vahekura, tusiza huno agotezmanteno avesra hunezamante. Hianagi, tamagema nehaza vahekura, tusi muse nehie.
Yahweh detests those [MTY] who tell lies, but he is delighted with those who faithfully do what they promise that they will do.
23 Ama' antahi'zane vahe'mo'za ame hu'za antahintahi zazmia eri ante ama nosaze. Hianagi neginagi vahe'mo'za neginagi antahintahizamia ame hu'za huama nehaze.
Those with good sense do not reveal [all] that they know; foolish people show [clearly] by what they say that they (are ignorant/have not learned much).
24 Hanavetinka eri'zama erisanana, kva vahe fore hugahane. Hianagi feru vahe'ma manisanana, kazokzo eri'za vahe manigahane.
Those [SYN] who work hard become rulers [of others]; those who are lazy become slaves [of others.]
25 Antahintahi hakarema hu'zamo'a, vahe'mofona azeri antepri nehie. Hianagi zamazeri hanaveti ke'ma vahe'ma huzami zamo'a, zamazeri antesga nehige'za muse nehaze.
When people are anxious/worried, they become depressed/dejected, but when others speak kindly to them, it causes them to be cheerful again.
26 Fatgo vahe'mo'za tava'ozamire'ma nemaniza vahe'mokizmia, knare antahi'za zami'za knare kante zamavare'za nevaze. Hianagi kefo zamavu'zamava'ma nehaza vahe'mo'za zamavare'za havifi nevaze.
Godly/Righteous people try to [give good advice to] their friends (OR, try to make friends with others), but the manner in which wicked [people] live misleads their friends.
27 Feru vahe'mo'zama zagagafama ahesazana onkregahaze. Hianagi kazigazi huno eri'zama eri'zamo'a, vahe'mofona marerisa feno zama'e.
Lazy people do not even [cook the meat of] the animals that they catch/kill, but those who work hard will acquire (OR, are like) a valuable treasure.
28 Fatgo avu'ava'ma huno mani'zamo'a, knare nomanizamofo ka me'ne. Hagi ana fatgo avu'ava'ma avaririzamo'a, fri'zana omane'ne.
Those who (live righteously/continually do what is right) are [walking] on the road to a long life; (it is not a road to death/they will not die when they are still young).
