1 Solomoni knare antahintahi zamofo naneke, erigofa huno krente'nea naneke. Ama' antahintahine mofavremo'a, nefana azeri muse nehie. Hianagi neginagi antahintahine mofavremo'a, nererana rimpa erihaviza higeno, asuzampi nemanie.
These [are more] proverbs/wise sayings from Solomon: If children are wise, they cause their parents to be happy; but if children are foolish, they cause their parents to be very sad.
2 Havi kazigati'ma erisana feno zamo'a kaza osugahianagi, mani fatgoma hunka mani'zamo'a, fri zampintira kagu vazigahie.
Money that you get by doing dishonest/wicked things will really not benefit you; but by living righteously you will live for (a long time/many years).
3 Fatgoma huno'ma nemania vahera, Ra Anumzamo'a atregeno agazankura nosie. Hianagi fatgo osu'zama haza vahera, zamatrenige'za erinaku'ma maragu'zamaneti'za zana e'origahaze.
Yahweh does not allow righteous [people] to starve, but he will prevent wicked [people] from getting what they want.
4 Feru'ma maniza vahe'mokizmia zamuntera nomane. Hianagi amuhoma hu'za eri'zama erizamo'za, rama'a fenoza nentaze.
Lazy people [soon] become poor; it is those who work hard who become rich.
5 Ama' antahi'zama eri'nea vahe'mo'a, ne'zamo'ma nenama hianknafina, ne'zana eritru nehie. Hianagi ne'zama hamareno eri atruhu knafima, avu'ma masea vahe'mo'a agazegu hugahie.
Those who are wise, harvest the crops when they are ripe; it is shameful/disgraceful to sleep [and not work] during harvest time.
6 Fatgo vahe'mokizmia zamasenirera asomu'mo'a, kini fetori antani zamanteankna nehie. Hianagi kefozama nehaza vahe'mokizmi kemo'a, hazenkezana refi'nete.
Righteous [people will] be blessed [by God]; [the nice things] that wicked [people] say [MTY] [sometimes] conceal the fact that they [are planning to] act violently.
7 Fatgo vahe'mo'zama ko'ma knare zama hu'naza zankura, vahe'mo'za antahinezmi'za muse nehaze. Hianagi kefo zama nehia vahe'mofona, agi agenke'a omanegahie.
After righteous [people die], other people are blessed as they remember [what those people did before they died]; but we will soon forget wicked people [MTY] after they die.
8 Ama' antahintahine vahe'mo'za, eri'za kea nevaririze. Hianagi tavare vahe'mo'za, haviza nehaze.
Wise people heed good instruction/advice, but people who talk foolishly will ruin themselves.
9 Iza'zo mika zampima mani fatgoma haza vahe'mo'za, knare hu'za nemanize. Hianagi fatgo zama osnimo'a, fra'okigahie.
Honest people will be safe, but [others] (OR, God) will find out those who are dishonest.
10 Regavumi kavami huzamo'a, hazenke eri kamigahie. Hagi tavre vahe'mo'za zamagra'a haviza hugahaze.
Those who signal with their eyes [that they are about to do something that is wrong] cause trouble, but those who rebuke others truthfully cause them to be peaceful.
11 Fatgo vahe'mofo zamagipinti'ma atiramia kemo'a, asimu ami tinkapui'mo atiramino eankna nehie. Hianagi kefozama nehaza vahe'mokizmi zamagipinti'ma atiramia kemo'a, vahe'ma hazenkema zami zamarimpa he'zana zana refi'nete.
What righteous [people] say [MTY] is [like] a fountain that (gives life/enables people to live many years) [MET], but what wicked [people] say [MTY] hides [the fact] that they intend to act violently.
12 Vahe'ma antahi havizama hu'zamo'a, ha' fra hu'za eri fore nehie. Hianagi vahe'ma avesima ante'zamo'a, miko kefozana refi'nete.
When we hate others, it causes quarrels, but if we love others, we forgive them [for the wrong things that they do].
13 Knare antahizamo'a knare'ma huno refkomahu vahe'mofo zamagipinti atineramie. Hianagi knare antahintahi omane vahe'mofona agumpi sefu amigahaze.
Those who have good sense say [MTY] what is wise, but people who do not have good sense must be punished.
14 Ama' antahi'zane vahe'mo'a, antahi'zana erite erite huno, rama'a enerie. Hianagi neginagi kema haza vahe'mo'za, mika zankura atupa nehu'za, ame hu'za haviza hugahaze.
Wise people continue to learn all that they can, but when foolish people speak, they soon cause trouble.
15 Feno vahe'mokizmi feno zamimo'a, vihu huzmanteankna hugahie. Hianagi zamunte'ma omaneazamo zamunte omane vahera zamazeri haviza nehie.
The wealth that rich people have [protects them like a city is protected by a] strong wall around it [MET], but people who are poor suffer much [because they have no one to help them].
16 Fatgo zamavu'zamava'ma nehaza vahe'mokizmia mizazmia, knare nomaniza erigahaze. Hianagi kefozama nehaza vahe'mo'za, havi miza erigahaze.
If you are righteous, your reward will be a good life, [but] all that sinful people gain is to sin more.
17 Avumro'ma anteankema antahimia vahe'mo'a, knare nomaniza eri kante nevie. Hianagi zamazeri fatgoma hazanke'ma zamavesrama huntaza vahe'mo'za, havifi nevaze.
Those who pay attention when others try to (correct them/teach them what they are doing that is wrong) will live (happily/for many years); but those who reject being rebuked will not find the road to life (OR, cause others to go astray).
18 Rimpa knama hu'nea vahe'mo'ma ana rimpa knama refitenakura, rama'a havige nehie. Hagi vahe'mokizmi zamagenkema hu vahera, neginagi vahere.
Those who will not admit that they hate [others] are liars, and those who slander [others] are foolish.
19 Rama'a kegagama huzamo'a, kumipi kavareno nevie. Hianagi iza'o agefu'nama kegavama himo'a, ama' antahi'zane vahe mani'ne.
When people talk a lot, that will lead them to sin a lot [by what they say]; if you are wise, you will refuse to say very much.
20 Fatgo vahe'mofo kemo'a, knare silvagna hu'ne. Hianagi havi vahe'mokizmi antahintahimo'a, haviza huno mago kna'a omane'ne.
What righteous/good [people] say [MTY] is [as valuable as] pure silver [MET]; what wicked [people] think is worthless.
21 Fatgo vahe'mofo kemo'a, rama'a vahe zamazeri hanavenetie. Hianagi neginagi vahe'mo'za antahi amahu antahintahigura atupa hu'za nefrize.
What righteous [people] say [MTY] benefits many [people], but foolish people die because of the stupid [things that they do].
22 Ra Anumzamo'a zamazeri feno vahe nesea asomumo'a, asunku'zana eri ozamigosie.
Yahweh blesses [some people] by enabling them to become rich, and working hard will not make them to become richer (OR, and he will not also cause them to become sad).
23 Neginagi vahe'mo'za, kefo avu'ava zana kiza zokago hazankna hu'za nehaze. Hianagi ama' antahintahine vahe'mo'za, knare antahintahifi muse hu'za makaza nehaze.
Foolish people (have fun/enjoy) doing what is wrong, but wise/sensible people enjoy doing what is wise.
24 Kefo vahe'mo'zama koro'ma nehazazamo'a, zamagrite egahie. Hianagi fatgo vahe'mo'za zamave'ma nesiazana erigahaze.
Righteous [people] will get the good things that they want/desire, but what wicked [people] are afraid of is what will happen to them.
25 Kefo avu'avazama nehaza vahe'mokizmia unu ko'ma atuno esuno'a, zamavareno fregahie. Hianagi fatgo vahe'mo'za oti hanaveti'za, mani'vava hugahaze.
When storms come, the wicked will (be blown away/never be safe), but righteous [people will] be safe forever.
26 Feru vahe'ma eri'za erinogu'ma huntesanana, ana vahe'mo'za aka'zamo vahe'mokizmi zamagipi ufreno akahiankna nehu'za, tokimo vahe'mokizmi zamavurgafi ufareno aka heankna kagritera hugahaze.
We do not like a lazy person who refuses to do the job that he is given to do, [just] like we do not like vinegar in our mouths or smoke in our eyes.
27 Ra Anumzamofoma koro'ma hunteno agorga'ama mani'zamo'a, za'za kafuzage manigahane. Hianagi kefozama hu vahe'mokizmia knazamia erikofa hinke'za, za'zatera omanigahaze.
If you revere Yahweh, you will live for a long time; but wicked [people] die before they become old.
28 Fatgo vahe'mo'zama amuha'ma nehaza zamofo nena'a musezane. Hianagi havi avu'ava'zama nehaza vahe'mo'zama amuha'ma nehazazamo'a amene zankna hugahie.
Righteous [people] confidently expect [that good things will happen to them], and that causes them to be happy/joyful; but when wicked [people] confidently expect something good to happen, it does not happen.
29 Ra Anumzamofo avu'ava'zamo'a fatgo vahe'mokizmi, vihu huzmanteankna hu'ne. Hianagi havi avu'ava'zama nehaza vahe'mokizmia, zamazeri haviza hugahie.
Yahweh protects [MET] those who live righteously, but he destroys those who do what is evil.
30 Fatgo vahe'mokizmia zamazeri torera osugahie. Hianagi havi zamavu'zmava'ma nehaza vahe'mo'za ama'na mopafina omanigahaze.
Righteous [people] will always be secure [LIT], but wicked people will be removed from their land (OR, from this earth).
31 Fatgo vahe'mofo agipinti'ma atiramia kemo'a, knare antahi'za atiramino nevie. Hianagi akrehe krehe ageru'ene vahe'mofona azeri taganegahie.
Righteous people [MTY] say things that are wise, but [God] will shut the mouths of people [MTY] who say what is not true.
32 Fatgo vahe'mofo zamagipintira vahe'mokizmi zamazahu naneke atineramie. Hianagi kefo vahe'mokizmi zamagipintira, akrehe krehe kemo atineramie.
Righteous people [MTY] know what to say that is acceptable, but wicked [people] [MTY] are [constantly] saying things that are not true.
