“Our father died in the wilderness, but he was not among the followers of Korah who gathered together against the LORD. Instead, he died because of his own sin, and he had no sons.
4 Hagi nahanigeno nerafa agimo'a agri'a nagapintira fanane hugahie? Na'ankure agra ne'mofavrea kase onte'ne. Hagi nerafa nagamokizmi mopafintira mago'a mopa refako huramigahaze.
Why should the name of our father disappear from his clan because he had no sons? Give us property among our father’s brothers.”
5 Hazageno Mosese'a ana kezamia erino Ra Anumzamofonte vigeno,
So Moses brought their case before the LORD,
6 Ra Anumzamo'a amanage huno Mosesena asmi'ne,
and the LORD answered him,
7 Selofehati mofa'ne naga'mo'za fatgo kante kea nehaze. Hagi nezamafa nagapintira nezmafa mopama me'neniama'a erizamige'za, erisantihare'za nezmafa afuhe'zama manisafina maniho.
“The daughters of Zelophehad speak correctly. You certainly must give them property as an inheritance among their father’s brothers, and transfer their father’s inheritance to them.
8 Hagi mago'ane Israeli vahera zamasamio, mago ne'mo'ma ne' mofavre ote'neno fri'nesigeta, ana ne'mofo mopa erita mofa'amofo aminkeno erisantihareno.
Furthermore, you shall say to the Israelites, ‘If a man dies and leaves no son, you are to transfer his inheritance to his daughter.
9 Hagi ana ne'mo'ma mofa'ma onte'neno frinige'za, afuhe'i erizamiho.
If he has no daughter, give his inheritance to his brothers.
10 Hagi afuhe'zama omani'nenazana agrama erisantima harenia mopa, nefa afu'agna eri zamigahaze.
If he has no brothers, give his inheritance to his father’s brothers.
11 Hagi ana ne'mofo nefa afu'aganahe'zama omani'nesazana, agri'a nagapi vahe eri zamige'za erisantihareho. Ama anankemo'a Ra Anumza'mo'ma Mosesema hunte'nea kante Israeli vahepina trake megahie.
And if his father has no brothers, give his inheritance to the next of kin from his clan, that he may take possession of it. This is to be a statutory ordinance for the Israelites, as the LORD has commanded Moses.’”
12 Ra Anumzamo'a Mosesena amanage huno asami'ne, Abarimi agonare marerinka Israeli vahe'ma zami'noa kokana ko.
Then the LORD said to Moses, “Go up this mountain of the Abarim range and see the land that I have given the Israelites.
13 Hagi ana mopama ketenunka negagana Aroni'ma hu'neaza hunka frigahane.
After you have seen it, you too will be gathered to your people, as your brother Aaron was;
14 Na'ankure Zini ka'ma kopina Nagrama hi'oma hu'na tanasamu'a keni'a amagera onte'na'e. Hagi Israeli vahe'mo'zama zamarimpa knama hunenantageta'a, Nagrikura ruotage hu'ne huta Israeli vahepina erinte amara osu'na'e. (E'ina tina Kadasi ka'ma kopi Meriba me'ne.)
for when the congregation contended in the Wilderness of Zin, both of you rebelled against My command to show My holiness in their sight regarding the waters.” Those were the waters of Meribah in Kadesh, in the Wilderness of Zin.
15 Anante Mosese'a Ra Anumzamofona anage huno asami'ne,
So Moses appealed to the LORD,
16 Ra Anumzana maka'zama zamasimu'ma nezamina Anumzamoka, Israeli vahe'ma kegavama hania nera mago azeri otigeno,
“May the LORD, the God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the congregation
17 ana ne'mo ugota huzmanteno zamavareno vuno eno nehanige'za, Ra Anumzamofo vahe'mo'za sipisipimo'za kegava huzmante vahe omani'nege'za savri hu'za manizanknara osugahaze.
who will go out and come in before them, and who will lead them out and bring them in, so that the congregation of the LORD will not be like sheep without a shepherd.”
18 Hagi Ra Anumzamo'a Mosesena anage huno kenona hunte'ne, Agripima avamu'ma mani'nea ne' Nuni nemofo Josuana asenira kazana antenka nunamuna hunto.
And the LORD replied to Moses, “Take Joshua son of Nun, a man with the Spirit in him, and lay your hands on him.
19 Hagi mika vahe zamavufi pristi ne' Eleasa avuga Josuana avrenka vunka eri'zama erisia eri'zana ome huhamprinto.
Have him stand before Eleazar the priest and the whole congregation, and commission him in their sight.
20 Anante eri'zama eneri'na hihamu mago'a amige'za, miko Israeli vahe'mo'za ke'a antahimi'za avaririho.
Confer on him some of your authority, so that the whole congregation of Israel will obey him.
21 Hagi Josuama maka zampima Nagri navesi'ma kenaku'ma hanuno'a Eleasa pristi ne'mofo avuga vanigeno, Eleasa'a urimi havea erino Nagri navesi zana keno erifore hugahie. Hanigeno Eleasa'a mika nanekea Josuana asami'nigeno, Israeli vahera zamavareno vuno eno hugahie.
He shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who will seek counsel for him before the LORD by the judgment of the Urim. At his command, he and all the Israelites with him—the entire congregation—will go out and come in.”
22 Hagi Ra Anumzamo'ma huoma huno hunteaza huno Mosese'a Josuana avreno pristi ne' Eleasane Israeli vahe zamavuga vu'ne.
Moses did as the LORD had commanded him. He took Joshua, had him stand before Eleazar the priest and the whole congregation,
23 Hagi Mosese'a Ra Anumzamo'ma hunte'nea kante anteno Josuana asenirera azana anteno huhamprinte'ne.
and laid his hands on him and commissioned him, as the LORD had instructed through Moses.
