1 Hanki Artserksisi'ma kinima manino egeno 20tima hia kafumofona Nisani ikampina, ko'ma nehuaza hu'na kini ne'mofo waini tina tagi'na eme ami'noe. Hianagi mago'a zupama nehuazana hu'na ana zupa musena osugeno navugosamo'a evurami'ne.
In the month Nisan, in the twentieth year of Artaxerxes the king, when wine was before him, I picked up the wine, and gave it to the king. Now I had not been sad before in his presence.
2 Ana'ma higeno'a kini ne'mo'a nantahigeno, Kagra kria e'ori'nananagi na'a higeno kavugosamo'a evuneramigenka musena nosane? Mago'a zamo higeno krimpamo'a musena nosifi? Anagema hige'na nagra tusi koro nehu'na,
The king said to me, “Why is your face sad, since you are not sick? This is nothing else but sorrow of heart.” Then I was very much afraid.

I said to the king, “Let the king live forever! Why shouldn’t my face be sad, when the city, the place of my fathers’ tombs, lies waste, and its gates have been consumed with fire?”
4 Anagema hugeno'a kini nemo'a amanage huno nasami'ne, Na'a kagrira hugantesuegu kave'nesie, hige'na anante ame hu'na monafi Anumzamofontega nunamuna hu'noe.
Then the king said to me, “What is your request?” So I prayed to the God of heaven.
5 Nehu'na amanage hu'na kini ne'mofona antahige'noe, kagrama antahi musema hunantesnanke'na Juda mopare mopa agafa'nire vu'na ome kete'na, maka'zana ome eri so'e hanue.
I said to the king, “If it pleases the king, and if your servant has found favour in your sight, I ask that you would send me to Judah, to the city of my fathers’ tombs, that I may build it.”
6 Hanki kini ne'mofo nenaro kuini a'mo'a kini nemofo tava'onte mani'negeno kini ne'mo'a nantahigeno, nama'a kna umanitenka etema esanana ina zupa egahane? Anage nehuno amne vugahane huno hu izo hige'na, etema esanua kna fatgogura asami'noe.
The king said to me (the queen was also sitting by him), “How long will your journey be? When will you return?” So it pleased the king to send me, and I set a time for him.
7 Hagi anante mago'ene kini nera amanage hu'na antahige'noe, Kini ne'mokama antahi so'ema hunantesnunka, Yufretisi rantimofo kantu kazigama me'nea kumatmimpima kva hu'naza vahetega knare mago'a avona kre namisnanke'na, nevu'nama ana kumapi gavana vahetamina ana avona ome zamisanuge'za, nege'za mago'zana osu natresage'na Juda moparera vu'na uhanatigahue.
Moreover I said to the king, “If it pleases the king, let letters be given me to the governors beyond the River, that they may let me pass through until I come to Judah;
8 Hanki kini ne'mofo zafa tanopare'ma kvama hu'nea ne' Asapuna, zafama naminige'nama ra mono no tvaonte'ma, sondia vahe'ma mani'nezama kvama hanaza nomofo kafama tro'ma hu zafaramine kuma keginare'ma eri'zama erisanuna zafane nagrama masesanua noma kisanuna zafaramima namisigura, mago avon krento hu'na antahige'noe. Hanki Ra Anumzamo'a nagrane mani'negu nazanoma kini ne'mofonku'ma antahigoa zana amne tro hunante'ne.
and a letter to Asaph the keeper of the king’s forest, that he may give me timber to make beams for the gates of the citadel by the temple, for the wall of the city, and for the house that I will occupy.” The king granted my requests, because of the good hand of my God on me.
9 Hanki sondia vahete ugota hu'naza vahe'ene hosi afu'mofo agumpima mani'nezama ha'ma nehaza sondia vahera kini ne'mo'a mago'a huzmantege'za nagrane vu'naze. Ana higeta Yufretisi rantimofo kantu kazigama me'nea kumatmima kvama hu'naza vahera vu'na kini ne'mo'ma krenami'nea avona ome zami'noe.
Then I came to the governors beyond the River, and gave them the king’s letters. Now the king had sent captains of the army and horsemen with me.
10 Hianagi Bet-Horoni kumateti kamani eri'zama eneria ne' Senbalati'ene, Amoni kumateti kamani eri'za eneria ne' Tobia'enema nagrama oanke'ma nentahikea zanarinpamo'a haviza hu'ne. Na'ankure zanagrama antahi'ana Israeli vahe zamaza hunaku neaze nehuke anara hu'na'e.
When Sanballat the Horonite and Tobiah the Ammonite servant heard of it, it grieved them exceedingly, because a man had come to seek the welfare of the children of Israel.
11 Hanki Jerusalema uhanati'na 3'a zagegna umanite'na,
So I came to Jerusalem, and was there three days.

I arose in the night, I and a few men with me. I didn’t tell anyone what my God put into my heart to do for Jerusalem. There wasn’t any animal with me except the animal that I rode on.
13 Hanki ana kenagera kuma keginamofona, Agupo Kafanema nehaza kafanteti atirami'na, Ra Osifave tinkerima nehazarega vute'na, Mikazama Harafi hu'zama ome netraza kafanema nehaza kafama me'nerega vu'noe. Hanki tonki afu'mofo agumpima mani'na nevu'na, Jerusalemi kuma'mofo have keginama ahefragu vazi'naza zantamine, kuma kafaramine tevemo'ma te havizama hu'nea zana keso'e hu'na vu'noe.
I went out by night by the valley gate towards the jackal’s well, then to the dung gate; and I inspected the walls of Jerusalem, which were broken down, and its gates were consumed with fire.
14 Anantetira Kampu'i Tine nehaza kafante'ene, Kini Nemofo tirure nehaza tirute uhanati'noe. Hianagi ufre kafampina have keginama fragu'ma vazirami'nea havemo'a hihi huno mareri'negeno tonkimo'a ufregara osu'ne.
Then I went on to the spring gate and to the king’s pool, but there was no place for the animal that was under me to pass.
15 Anama hige'na Kidroni agupofi enevu'na ran kuma kegina ke'na evute'na, masa osu nege'na ete rukrahe hu'na Agupo Kafanema nehaza kafanteti emareri'na ran kumapina ufre'noe.
Then I went up in the night by the brook and inspected the wall; and I turned back, and entered by the valley gate, and so returned.
16 Hanki ana kenage'ma vanoma nehu'nama hu'noa zamofo nanekea, Jerusalemima mani'naza kva vahe'mo'za ontahi'naze. Na'ankure magore hu'na Jiu vahepi, pristi nagapi eri'za vahepi mago'a eri'zama zamazama hu'za erisaza vahe'enena ozamasami'noe.
The rulers didn’t know where I went, or what I did. I had not as yet told it to the Jews, nor to the priests, nor to the nobles, nor to the rulers, nor to the rest who did the work.
17 Hianagi anante amanage hu'na zamasami'noe, Tagrama knazampima mani'nonana tamagra ko keta antahita hu'naze. Jerusalemi kuma'mo'ma havizantfa higeno, kumamofo rankafana tevemo teno eri haviza hu'ne. E'ina hu'negu enketa Jerusalemi kuma'mofo kegina ete eriso'e huta hamaneno. Hagi e'inama hanunke'za mago'enena tazeri tagazea osugahaze.
Then I said to them, “You see the bad situation that we are in, how Jerusalem lies waste, and its gates are burnt with fire. Come, let’s build up the wall of Jerusalem, that we won’t be disgraced.”
18 Anage nehu'na Ra Anumzamo'ma azama anteno nazama hu'nea zamofo kea nezamasami'na, kini ne'mo'ma hu'nea nanekenena zamasami'noe. Anankema huge'za zamagra amanage hu'naze, Knarekita hago eri'zana agafa huta erisune, nehu'za, ana kere eri'zana agafa hu'za eri'naze.
I told them about the hand of my God which was good on me, and also about the king’s words that he had spoken to me. They said, “Let’s rise up and build.” So they strengthened their hands for the good work.
19 Hianagi Horoni kumateti ne' Sanbalati'ma, Amoniti ne' Tobiaki, Araputi ne' Gesemi'ma hu'za amana eri'zama eriku'ma huna nanekema nentahi'za, tusi tagiza nere'za zokago kea amanage hu'za hurante'naze, tamagra ama na'a hu'za nehaze? Tamagra kuma kegina ete azeri o'netitma, kini ne'mofona ha' hunte'za nehazo?
But when Sanballat the Horonite, Tobiah the Ammonite servant, and Geshem the Arabian, heard it, they ridiculed us and despised us, and said, “What is this thing that you are doing? Will you rebel against the king?”
20 Hagi anante nagra amanage hu'na zamasami'noe, tagra monafi Anumzamofo eri'za vahe mani'nonankita ama ana eri'zana enerisanunkeno, taza huno tazeri so'ea hugahie. Hianagi ama Jerusalemi kumapina tamagrira tamagia omane'ne. Ana higeno tamagehe'zanena kora ama kumapinena zamagia omane'nea vahe mani'naze.
Then I answered them, and said to them, “The God of heaven will prosper us. Therefore we, his servants, will arise and build; but you have no portion, nor right, nor memorial in Jerusalem.”
