Alas for the city of bloodshed! All of it, deceit, of violence full, none releaseth prey!
2 Ha' vahe'mokizmi sondia vahe'mo'za karisi zamifi mani'neza hosi afu zamima sefu'ma rumeki nezami'zama neazageno neria agasasane, karisi zamimofo tazamo'ma havema refaragu'ma vazino ne-ea zamofa agasasane, hosi afuzamimo'zama vagari vagarima hu'za esaza zamofo zamagasasankea antahigahaze.

5 Hankavenentake Ra Anumzamo'a amanage huno nehie, Ninive kumamoka hara hugante'na siketi kenaka'a erisga hu'na kavugosa refitenunka kavufga kavapako oti'nesanke'za maka ama mopafi vahe'mo'za negagesagenka tusi kagazegu hugahane.
Behold me! against thee, Declareth Yahweh of hosts, Therefore will I remove thy shirts over thy face, —and let, nations, see thy nakedness, and, kingdoms, thy shame;
6 Nagra himna vu'nesania tetemuteti kazeri haviza hugahue. Nagrama kazeri havizama hanua zana maka ama mopafi vahe'mo'za negesu'za kiza zokago ke hugantegahaze.
And I will cast upon thee abominable filth, and treat thee as foolish, —and set thee as a gazing-stock.
7 Ana maka vahe'mo'zama kagri'ma kagesaza vahe'mo'za, zamagia zamefigati reme reme nevu'za amanage hugahaze. Ninive kumamo'a haviza huno kugusopafi maseanagi, iza eno zavira eme atenentesigeno, iza eno eme asunkura hunenteno azeri so'ea huntegahie? hu'za hugahaze.
And it shall come to pass that, all who see thee, shall flee from thee, and shall say, Destroyed is Nineveh! Who will bemoan her?—Whence shall I seek any to comfort thee?
8 Naeli ran timofo ankenaregama Tebesi kumamo'ma knare'ma huno me'negeno'ma, timo'ma kagintegeno'ma me'nea kumara kagra Ninive kumamoka rugaterenka knarera hu'nampi? Ana kumamofona hagerimo vihugnara huntegeno timo'a maka asoparega keginagna huno mekaginte'neno agura nevazie.
Art thou better than No-amon, who sat among the Nile-streams, waters round about her, —whose fortress was the sea, from the sea, her wall.
9 Itiopia mopafi vahe'mo'zane, Isipi mopafi vahe'mo'za Tebesi rankumapi vahera ozmatre zamazahu vava nehaze. Ana nehakeno ana knafinena Puti mopafi vahe'mo'zane Libia mopafi vahe'mo'za zamagranena Tebesi mopafi vahera zamaza huke hara hu'na'e.

Ana nehu'za Tebesi rankuma'ma kvama hu'naza kva vahetamina seni nofiteti kina huzmante'naze.

12 Kagri'ma ha'ma eme hugantenaza vahe'mo'za, kumamofo vihu keginaka'a eme tapage hutrenageno, mago vahe'mo fiki zafa eri tagosi tagosi nehigeno, ese'ma afure'nea fiki ragamo evuramino vahe agipi freankna hugahie.

Tamagra kora kenu'mo hiaza huta rama'a vahe fore huta eri hakare hu'nazanagi, tamagrama freta ome tamagu'ma vazisaza kana omanetfa hugahie!

Though thou have multiplied thy foot-soldiers beyond the stars of the heavens, the grass locust, hath stript itself and flown away!
17 Tamagri sondia vahe'mo'zane, kva vahe'mo'za zamagranena kenukna hu'nazanki'za, zasi ko'matia knafima kenumo'zama magopi hare'za e'za keginare eme rukamarazankna nehaze. Hianagi zagema hanatige'za ana kenu tamimo'za hare'za frazankna hu'za, inantego frazage'za vahe'mo'za nozamagaze.
Thy mercenary crowds, are like the swarming locust, and, thy mixed multitudes, like locusts—swarms of locusts, —which settle in the hedges on a cold day, the sun, hath broken forth, and they are in flight, and unknown is the place where they are!

No lessening of thine injury, grievous is thy wound, —all who have heard the report of thee, have clapped their hands over thee, for, upon whom, hath not thy cruelty passed without ceasing?
