< Matiu 5 >

1 Hagi Jisasi'ma hakare vea kevuma nezmageno'a, mago agonare mareri'ne. Anante'ma umanige'za, amage'ma nentaza disaipoli naga'mo'za Agrite e'naze.
On seeing the crowds of People, Jesus went up the hill; and, when he had taken his seat, his disciples came up to him;
2 Anante Agra agafa huno rempi hunezamino, amanage hu'ne,
and he began to teach them as follows:
3 Zamufama anterami'za avamupima manisaza vahe'mo'za, Anumzamofo asomura erigahaze. Na'ankure mona kumara zamagri kumare.
“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.
4 Zamasu zampi mani'ne'samokizmia, Anumzamo'a asomu huzmantegahie. Na'ankure Agra zamazeri fru hugahie.
Blessed are the mourners, for they shall be comforted.
5 Akohe'za nemanimokizmia Anumzamo'a asomu huzmantegahie. Na'ankure maka mopa zamisige'za erigahaze.
Blessed are the gentle, for they shall inherit the earth.
6 Fatgo avu'avaku zamaganeteno, tinku zamesiaza nehazamokizmia Anumzamo'a asomu huzmantegahie. Na'ankure Agra zamagrira knare huzmantegahie.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.
7 Vaheku'ma zamasunku hunezmantamokizmia Anumzamo'a asunku huzmantegahie. Na'ankure Anumzamo'a asuntgi zamantegahie.
Blessed are the merciful, for they shall find mercy.
8 Zamagu'amo'ma agru hu'nesamo'za, Asomu erigahaze. Na'ankure zamagra Anumzana kegahaze.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
9 Ha'ma erifru nehazamo'za, asomu erigahaze. Na'ankure zamagrikura Anumzamofo mofavre hugahaze.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called Sons of God.
10 Knare zamavuzmama nehanage'za hafra huzmantesamo'za, asomura erigahaze. Na'ankure mona kumamo'a zamagri'za segahie.
Blessed are those who have been persecuted in the cause of righteousness, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.
11 Vahe'mo'ma huhaviza huneramanteno, kanonkeve neramino, maka hankromofo nanekea havige huno hugofi neramanteno, Nagriteku huno havigema huramantesimota, asomu erigahagahaze.
Blessed are you when people taunt you, and persecute you, and say everything evil about you — untruly, and on my account.
12 Kaninkaha hutma muse hiho, na'ankure avamutami'mofo fenozana rama'a monafinka me'ne. Na'ankure korapara kasnampa vahera anahukna hu'za zamahe'naze.
Be glad and rejoice, because your reward in Heaven will be great; for so men persecuted the Prophets who lived before you.
13 Tamagra ama'na mopare hage mani'naze. Hianagi ana hagemo'ma haga'ama omanesigeno'a, inanknahu huno hage'a ete erigahie? E'i mago knare'za hugara osiankino, atresnage'za vahe'mo'za zamagareti rehaviza hutregahaze.
It is you who are the salt of the earth; but, if the salt should lose its strength, what will you use to restore its saltiness? It is no longer good for anything, but is thrown away, and trampled underfoot.
14 Tamagra ama mopamofo tavi mani'naze. Mago rankumamo agonare me'nesia rankumamo'a fra okigahie.
It is you who are the Light of the world. A town that stands on a hill cannot be hidden.
15 Vahe'mo'za ramu tavi rekru hu'za baketifina nontaze. Tavi ante azotare hantintenageno remasa nompina nehie.
Men do not light a lamp and put it under the corn-measure, but on the lamp-stand, where it gives light to every one in the house.
16 Anahu kante tavika'a atregeno, vahe'mokizmirera remsa hanige'za, knare kavu kvara nege'za, monafi mani'nea Negafana ra agi amigahaze.
Let your light so shine before the eyes of your fellow men, that, seeing your good actions, they may praise your Father who is in Heaven.
17 Tamagra kasegene, kasnampa vahe ke eri atreku e'ne hutma Nagrikura osiho. Nagra kasegene kasnampa ke eri atrenaku ome'noanki, eri knare hunaku e'noe.
Do not think that I have come to do away with the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to do away with them, but to complete them.
18 Nagra tamagerafa hu'na neramasmue, monane mopane vaga'oreno me'nena, mago onensa avoma kasegefi me'nea zamo'a vagaore me'nenkeno, hakare zamo'a efore hugahie.
For I tell you, until the heavens and the earth disappear, not even the smallest letter, nor one stroke of a letter, shall disappear from the Law until all is done.
19 Hagi iza'o ana kasegefinti mago rufutagino, rumofo rempi humino, ana hiho hanuno'a, agra ositfa mona kumapina manigahie. Hianagi mago vahe'mo'ma Anumzamofo kasegema amage nenteno, rempi vahe huzmisuno'a, mona kumapina henka ra agine vahe manigahie.
Whoever, therefore, breaks one of these commandments, even the least of them, and teaches others to do so, will be the least-esteemed in the Kingdom of Heaven; but whoever keeps them, and teaches others to do so, will be esteemed great in the Kingdom of Heaven.
20 Na'ankure Nagra neramasmue, tamagri tamavu'tamavamo'ma fatgo huno kasegere ugagota hu'naza vahe'mofone, Farisi vahe'mokizmima, zamagatema oresiana, tamagra mona kumapina ovugahaze.
Indeed I tell you that, unless your religion is above that of the Teachers of the Law, and Pharisees, you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
21 Tamagra ko antahi'naze, tamagehe'ima zamasmi'naza kea, Kagra mago vahera ahe ofrio, hagi iza'o vahe'ma ahe frisimo'a, keagare otigahie hu'ne.
You have heard that to our ancestors it was said — ‘Thou shalt not commit murder,’ and ‘Whoever commits murder shall be liable to answer for it to the Court.’
22 Hianagi Nagra anage nehue, iza'o nefuma rimpa kna huntesimo'a, agra keagare otigahie. Aza'o mago nefuma huhaviza hunte'simofona, avare'za kanisolo kva vahete (Sanhedrin) vugahaze. Hagi iza'o neginagi ke nehie huno hanimofona, tusi'a tevefi avare tregahaze. (Geenna g1067)
I, however, say to you that any one who cherishes anger against his brother shall be liable to answer for it to the Court; and whoever pours contempt upon his brother shall be liable to answer for it to the High Council, while whoever calls down curses upon him shall be liable to answer for it in the fiery Pit. (Geenna g1067)
23 E'ina hu'negu, kagrama ofa ka'a erinka kre sramanavu itare'ma esunka, negafu'ma rimpa hegante nenia zanku antahisunka,
Therefore, when presenting your gift at the altar, if even there you remember that your brother has some grievance against you,
24 ana kresramana vu itare ofa ka'a atrenka ete vunka, kotazana ana negafu'ene ome kasunke hutenka, henka ofaka'a eme amio.
leave your gift there, before the altar, go and be reconciled to your brother, first, then come and present your gift.
25 Hagi mago'mo naneke hugantenaku hanimofona karanka nevutna ame'ama hunka rimpa eri fru huo, aru kagrira kavreno ke refakohu vahete vanigeno, anante ke refakohu ne'mo'a kavreno kina kva ne'te vanigeno, hagi kagrira kasaga huno kina nompi katre'zanku, ana huo.
Be ready to make friends with your opponent, even when you meet him on your way to the court; for fear that he should hand you over to the judge, and the judge to his officer, and you should be thrown into prison.
26 Tamage hu'na kagrira negasamue, kagra anampintira atioramitfa hugahane, hagi agima ahegantesiama'a mizase varesunka henka kina nompintira atiramigahane.
I tell you, you will not come out until you have paid the last penny.
27 Tamagra antahi'naze amanagema hu'nea kea, Tamagra ru vene, a'ene monko'zana osugahaze hu'ne.
You have heard that it was said — ‘Thou shalt not commit adultery.’
28 Hianagi Nagra neramasmue, aza'o mago a' negeno kesane hanimo'a, hago ana a'ene monko'za agu'afina hu'ne.
I, however, say to you that any one who looks at a woman with an impure intention has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
29 Tamaga kavurgamo kazeri kumipi katre'na, eri tagitinka mate vuo, na'ankure ru maka kavufa tevefi (hell) vu'zankura, mago kvufamo fanane hani'ana, knare hugahie. (Geenna g1067)
If your right eye is a snare to you, take it out and throw it away. It would be best for you to lose one part of your body, and not to have the whole of it thrown into the Pit. (Geenna g1067)
30 Kazantmaga'amo kumipi kavrentena, taga hunka matevu atro. Ru mika kavufamo tevefi vu'zankura mago kavufa atresanana, e'i knare'za hugahie. (Geenna g1067)
And, if your right hand is a snare to you, cut it off and throw it away. It would be best for you to lose one part of your body, and not to have the whole of it go down to the Pit. (Geenna g1067)
31 Korapara anage huno avona krente'ne, Iza'o a' ama huntenaku hanuno'a, a' atre avonkre amino hu'ne.
It was also said — ‘Let any one who divorces his wife serve her with a notice of separation.’
32 Ana hanigeno Nagra anage tamagrikura nehue, mago vahe'mo a' a'mo monko'za osu'nenigeno atre'siana, ana ne'mo'a ana ara huntesigeno monko'zana hugahie. Hanigeno iza'o, vemo'ma atre'nesia a'ma erisia ne'mo'a, monko'za hugahie.
I, however, say to you that any one who divorces his wife, except on the ground of her unchastity, leads to her committing adultery; while any one who marries her after her divorce is guilty of adultery.
33 Mago'ene tamagra korapama, tamagehe'ima zamasmi'nea kea antahi'naze, Huvempa kea ha'ontagigahane. Hianagi Ra Anumzantera huvempa hu'nana kea eri knare huo hu'ne.
Again, you have heard that to our ancestors it was said — ‘Thou shalt not break an oath, but thou shall keep thine oaths as a debt due to the Lord.’
34 Hianagi Nagra anage hu'na neramasmue, mona kumaku hunteta huvempa osiho, na'ankure Anumzamo nemania tra'e,
I, however, say to you that you must not swear at all, either by Heaven, since that is God’s throne,
35 mopa'mofonku hunteta huvempa osiho, na'ankure Agra agia nentea trare, hifi Jerusalegura osiho, na'ankure tusi'a kinimofo rankumare hu'ne. (Ais 66:1-2)
or by the earth, since that is his footstool, or by Jerusalem, since that is the city of the Great King.
36 Kagra kasenire huntenka huvempa osuo, na'ankure kagra mago kazokara eri efeke osuge, haninkera osugahane.
Nor should you swear by your head, since you cannot make a single hair either white or black.
37 Hianagi kema hananana, izo hanunka, izo huo, i'oma hnunka i'o huo, mago'a amana kema agatereno hanuno'a, hankro'mofontegati eanke hugahie.
Let your words be simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything beyond this comes from what is wrong.
38 Tamagra anagema hu'nea kea antahi'naze, Avu rupro hanimofona, agri enena avu rupro huo. Ave rutafri simofona, agri enena ave rutafrio hu'ne.
You have heard that it was said — ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.’
39 Hianagi mago'ene anage hu'na neramasmue, haviza huramante simofona, azeri havizana osiho. Hianagi iza'o tamaga kaziga kameragente'ma kahena, rukrehe hugeno, mago kaziga kameragente kaheno.
I, however, say to you that you must not resist wrong; but, if any one strikes you on the right cheek, turn the other to him also;
40 Mago'mo'ma sioti ka'agu namio hanigenka, anakre kuka'ane amio.
and, when any one wants to go to law with you, to take your coat, let him have your cloak as well;
41 Iza'o kagri'ma tutu huno fenoni'a erinka, mago kilo mita vuo hanigenka, eriagaterenka tare kilo mita vuo.
and, if any one compels you to go one mile, go two miles with him.
42 Mago zanku kantahige simofona amne amio, erite'na kamisue huno kantahigena, i'o osuo.
Give to him who asks of you; and, from him who wants to borrow from you, do not turn away.
43 Tamagra antahi'nageno korapara anage hu'naze, Kagri tava'onte mani'nemofona kavesintetfa nehunka, ha' vahe ka'a krimpa hento hu'ne.
You have heard that it was said — ‘Thou shalt love thy neighbour and hate thy enemy.’
44 Hianagi Nagra anage hu'na neramasmue, ha' vahetmia zamesizmantetfa nehuta, tamahesia vahera nunamu huzmanteho.
I, however, say to you — Love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you,
45 E'inama hanuta monafi nemania Nafatamimofo mofavre manigahaze. Agra zagegu higeno, zagea knare vahete ene, havi vahetera neregeno, fatgo vahete'ene, fatgo osu vahete enena kora atregeno nerie.
that you may become Sons of your Father who is in Heaven; for he causes his sun to rise upon bad and good alike, and sends rain upon the righteous and upon the unrighteous.
46 Na'ankure tamavesima antenia vahe'ma, tamavesi zamantenuta na'a mizama'a erigahaze? Tagra antahi'none, takesi zagoma eri vahe'mo'za anahu knara nehaze.
For, if you love only those who love you, what reward will you have? Even the tax-gatherers do this!
47 Tamagrama nermafunke'za zamazeri so'e hanazana, na'a mago'a zana hugahaze? Megi'a vahe'mo'za zamagranena anahu kna nehaze.
And, if you show courtesy to your brothers only, what are you doing more than others? Even the Gentiles do this!
48 E'ina hu'negu tamagra monafi neramafa'ma fatgo huno agru hu'nea kna hutma fatgo hutma agru hiho huno zamasmi'ne.
You, then, must become perfect — as your heavenly Father is perfect.
