< Matiu 3 >
1 Ana knafina mono ti frezmante Joni'a, Judia kaziga ka'ma mopafi ne-eno amanage huno Anumzamofo ke huama huno zamasmi'ne.
Now in those days comes John the baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,
2 Kefozantamigu tamasunke huta tamagu'a rukrehe hiho. Na'ankure mona kuma'mo'a hago tava'o nehie.
and saying, Repent, for the kingdom of the heavens has drawn nigh.
(Ais 40:3)
For this is he who has been spoken of through Esaias the prophet, saying, Voice of him that crieth in the wilderness: prepare ye the way of [the] Lord, make straight his paths.
4 Joni'a kemori azokateti trohunte kena masi'neno, trazama nenaza afu'mofo akruteti amu'nofira nehuno, kenu'ene, afi' tumemofo rima'ane ne'ne.
And John himself had his garment of camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins, and his nourishment was locusts and wild honey.
5 Anante Jerusalemi kumate vahemo'zane, Judia kazigati ene, ana mika Jodani kazigati vahe'mo'zane mika eri hantage'za Joninte etere hazageno,
Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the country round the Jordan,
6 Joni'a Jodani timpi huama kumi'zmi hutere nehazageno, mono ti fre zamante'ne.
and were baptised by him in the Jordan, confessing their sins.
7 Hianagi agrama kege'za hakare'a Farisi vahe'ene, Sadusi vahe'ma mono ti frekure hu'za ageno, Joni'a anage huno zamasmi'ne, tamagra ha' osifavemofo mofavre nagare, aza tmasmino amuma ne-ea Anumzamofo rimpahe zampintira fregahaze huno tamasami'ne.
But seeing many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them, Offspring of vipers, who has forewarned you to flee from the coming wrath?
8 Ana hu'nagu raga rentenkeno, tamagu'a rukrehe hunaze huno tamage'za sena,
Produce therefore fruit worthy of repentance.
9 hagi Abrahamu'a nerfakita, tagra knare hu'none hutma osiho. Na'ankure nagrama tamagri'ma tamasamisuana, Anumzamo'a amne hanigeno ami havemo'a, Abrahamuna mofavre nagara fore humigahie.
And do not think to say within yourselves, We have Abraham for [our] father; for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children to Abraham.
10 Meninena hago sasumemo'a mika zafa agafare kriri'neankino, hakare zafamo knare ragama reontesia zafaramina, antagino tevefi mate'vuno atregahie.
And already the axe is applied to the root of the trees; every tree therefore not producing good fruit is cut down and cast into the fire.
11 Nagra amne tinteti mono tina fre nermantoe, tamagu'a rukrahe hanazegu, hianagi Agra henkama ne-emo'a nagrira nagatereno hihamu'ane ne' egahie, hige'na nagra Agri aganona (sendol) erizafiga osu'noe. Ruotge Avamuteti'ene tevenu'ene Agra mono tina fre ramantegahie.
I indeed baptise you with water to repentance, but he that comes after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not fit to bear; he shall baptise you with [the] Holy Spirit and fire;
12 Witi ne'za eri atru hania kna hago atupa nehigeno, Agra vazihehehu azota azampi erino mani'ne. Hanki witi akru hare kuma eri hagro nehuno, anampinti nena'a zogirino erino nompi Agra ome nenteno, hona'a tevava tevefi krenkeno tegahie.
whose winnowing fan [is] in his hand, and he shall thoroughly purge his threshing-floor, and shall gather his wheat into the garner, but the chaff he will burn with fire unquenchable.
13 Anante Jisasi'a Galiliti atreno Joni mono ti frente'snie huno Jodani tinte e'ne.
Then comes Jesus from Galilee to the Jordan to John, to be baptised of him;
14 Hianagi Joni'a tima Agri'ma frente'zankura i'o nehuno, Kagra, nagrira tina fre nantesankeno knarera hugahie, hianagi Kagra nagritega neano?
but John urgently forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptised of thee; and comest thou to me?
15 Hianagi Jisasi'a ke nona'a Jonina asmino, Menina amne fre nantegahane, na'ankure tagrati'a e'inama hanu'ana fatgo avu'avaza hugahue, higeno Joni'a Agri ke antahino,
But Jesus answering said to him, Suffer [it] now; for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffers him.
16 mono tima frentegeno, Jisasi'a ana timpinti ame huno otino ankenarega mrerino ne-egeno, monamo hagro nehigeno, keana Anumzamofo Avamu'mo maho nama'gna huno akoheno eramino Jisasinte emani'ne.
And Jesus, having been baptised, went up straightway from the water, and lo, the heavens were opened to him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove, and coming upon him:
17 Higeno, monafinkati mago ageru'mo huno, Ama'i Nagrama avesinento'a magoke Mofavreni'agi'na Nagra tusi'a muse Agrira hunentoe.
and behold, a voice out of the heavens saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I have found my delight.
