< Matiu 2 >

1 Jisasi'ma Betlehemi Judia kaziga mopare, Heroti'ma kini mani'nea knafi fore'ma hige'za, zage hanatitegati antahi'zane vahe'mo'za Jerusalemi ehanati'za, anage hu'naze,
Now Jesus having been born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the east came to Jerusalem, saying,
2 Jiu vahe'motma Kinima manisia nera inantega kasente'ne? Na'ankure tagra Agri ofuna zage hanati kazigati keteta, mono hunteku e'none.
Where is he who is born king of the Jews? For we saw his star in the east, and have come to worship him.
3 Ama ana nanekema Heroti'ma kini ne'mo nentahino'a, agu'agesamo kore nehuno tarerare nehigeno, Jerusalemi kumate vahe'mo'zanena agrama hiaza hu'naze.
And Herod the king having heard it, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.
4 Heroti'ma pristi vahe'zagane, kasegere'ma ugagota hu'naza vahe'ma magopi zamazeri atru huteno'a, inantega Mesaia'a fore hugahie? huno zamantahige'ne.
And having gathered together all the chief priests and scholars of the people, he inquired of them where the Christ is born.
5 Hige'za zamagra, agri husmi'za, Judia kaziga Betlehe kumate kasentegahie, na'ankure korapa Anumzamofo kasnampa (profet) ke huama hu'nea ne'mo avon tafepi amanage huno krente'ne,
And they said to him, In Bethlehem of Judea. For thus it is written through the prophet,
6 Hagi kagra, Betlehemia, Juda vahe mopafina, kagra Juda vahe'mokizmi ranra kumapintira osasi kumatfana omani'nane, na'ankure kagripinti magora ra nera Israeli vahe ni'ama kegavama hania nera fore hugahie. (Mai 5:2.)
And thou Bethlehem, land of Judah, are in no way least among the rulers of Judah, for out of thee will come forth a man who rules, who will tend my people Israel.
7 Hagi Heroti'a frakino oku'a antahi'zane vahera zamagenoka huno, Nankna ana ofumo'a fore hu'ne huno zamantahige'ne.
Then Herod having called the wise men privately, ascertained from them what time the star appeared.
8 Heroti'a Betlehemu viho huno hunezmanteno, anage huno zamasmi'ne, Vutma ana Mofavrea ome haketa ketetma, Agri'ma kefore'ma hanutma eme nasminke'na, nagranena anazanke hu'na monora ome hunta'neno.
And having sent them to Bethlehem, he said, After going, search diligently about the child. And when ye find him, report to me, so that I also having come, may worship him.
And when they heard the king, they departed. And lo, the star that they saw in the east went before them until, having come, it stood over where the child was.
10 Ana ofuma negageno'a tusi'a muse zamo zamagu'afina avite'ne.
And when they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy.
11 Ana nompi emareri'za ana Mofavrene nerera Mariane nege'za, zamugosa regati kepri hu'za mono hunte'naze. Eri'zama vu'naza feno'zana anagi'za, musezama ami'nazana, golima, mananentake paurane (frankincense), mere'ne (myrrh) ami'naze.
And having come into the house, they saw the child with Mary his mother, and having fallen down, they worshiped him. And having opened their treasures, they brought to him gifts, gold and frankincense and myrrh.
12 Anumzamo'ma ava'nafi zamasmino Herotintera oviho huno'ma hu'nea kea nentahiza, antahi'zane vahe'mo'za oti'za rugantegati mopa zamirega vu'naze.
And divinely warned in a dream not to return to Herod, they departed into their own country by another way.
13 Antahi'zane vahe'ma vutageno'a, Ra Anumzamofo ankeromo Josefena ava'nafi efore huno asmi'ne, Otio! Mofavrene, nerera'nena znavrenka Isipi frenka vuo, anantega umani'nege'na Nagrama kasmisugenka eno, na'ankure Heroti'a ana Mofavre hakreno ahe friku nehie huno asami'ne.
Now after they departed, behold, an agent of the Lord appears to Joseph in a dream, saying, After rising, take the child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and thou be there until I tell thee, for Herod is going to seek the child to destroy it.
14 Anage higeno Josefe'a otino ana Mofavrene, nererane ana kenage agu'afi zanavreno Isipi vu'ne.
And having awakened, he took the child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt.
15 Anantega Isip vuno umani'negeno Heroti'a fri'ne. Ana'ma hu'neana Anumzamo kasnampa ne'mofo asmigeno korapa kre'nea kemofo nena'a efore hu'ne, Isipitira Nagra Ne'mofavre'ni'a agi hugeno e'ne. (Hos 11:1.)
And he was there until the end of Herod, so that what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet might be fulfilled, which says, Out of Egypt I called my Son.
16 Anante Heroti'ma keama, antahi'zane vahe'mo'za revatgama hazageno'a, agra tusi'a rimpa he'ne. Agra vahe huzmanteno, Betlehemi kumapinti ene, ana tva'onte me'nea kumapinti, zagegafu'zmimo tare zagekafureti urami'nea mofavre'zaga ome zamahe friho huno antahi'zane vahe'mo'za ofugu'ma asami'za, e'inahu'zana fore hugahie hazageno antahi'nea knagu anage hunora zamasami'ne.
Then Herod, when he saw that he was scorned by the wise men, was exceedingly angry, and having sent forth, he killed all the boys in Bethlehem, and in all the borders of it, from two years old and under, according to the time that he had ascertained from the wise men.
17 Anante korapa mago kasnampa ne' Jeremaia Anumzamo asmigeno hu'nea kemofo nena'a fore hu'ne,
Then that which was spoken through Jeremiah the prophet was fulfilled, which says,
18 Mago ageru Rama kumateti antahi'naze, zavi neteno tusi'a asuza eri'ne, Reseli'a mofavre rmima'agu zavi ate'ne, higeno agri'ma azeri tagane'zankura ave'osi'ne, na'ankure magore huno omani tfa higeno'e. (Jere 31:15.)
A voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children. And she did not want to be comforted, because they are not.
19 Heroti'ma fritegeno, mago Ra Anumzamofo ankeromo Josefena ava'nafi eno Isipi eme asmi'ne,
But when Herod perished, behold, an agent of the Lord appears in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, saying,
20 Otinka, Mofavrene nererane zanavarenka Israeli mopare vuo, na'ankure ahe'naku hakre'naza vahera hago fri'naze.
After rising, take the child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel, for those seeking the child's life have died.
21 Anage higeno Josefe'a otino ana Mofavrene, nererane zanavreno ete Israeli mopare e'ne.
And having awaken, he took the child and his mother, and came into the land of Israel.
22 Hianagi Heroti nemofo Akelasi, nefa no erino Judia kaziga kegava hie kema nentahino'a, ana kaziga vuzanku koro hu'ne. Anumzamo ava'nafima asmi'nea kante anteno, agra (Josefe) atreno Galili kaziga vu'ne.
But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning over Judea in place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. And divinely warned in a dream, he withdrew into the parts of Galilee.
23 Agra zanavreno viazamo, Nasareti kumate umani'naze. Anama hu'neana korapa kasnampa vahe'mo'za hunte'naza kemo nena'a efore hiankino Jisasinkura Nazareti Nere hu'za agia hegahaze.
And having come, he dwelt in a city called Nazareth, so that what was spoken through the prophets might be fulfilled, that he will be called a Nazarene.
