1 Hagi Jisasi'a ana kumara netreno kuma'arega ege'za, amage'ma nentaza disaipol naga'mo'za avariri'za e'naze.
On leaving that place, Jesus, followed by his disciples, went to his own part of the country.
2 Mani fruhu knama (Sabat) egeno'a agafa huno osi mono nompi rempi huzamigeno, rama'a vahe'mo'za antahizamo'za, antri hu'za zmagogogu nehu'za anage hu'naze, igati amanahu antahintahia erine? Iza amanahu knare antahintahizana ami'ne, nankna huno kagu'vazana eri fore nehie?
When the Sabbath came, he began to teach in the Synagogue; and the people, as they listened, were deeply impressed. “Where did he get this?” they said, “and what is this wisdom that has been given him? and these miracles which he is doing?
3 Ama kapenta ne' Maria mofavrefi? Jemisi'ma Josefema Judasima Saimonikizmi nempu'zimi mani'ne. Hanki asarahe'za tagrane mani'nazafi? Anage nehu'za ha' arente'naze.
Is not he the carpenter, the son of Mary, and the brother of James, and Joses, and Judas, and Simon? And are not his sisters, too, living here among us?” This proved a hindrance to their believing in him;
4 Anante Jisasi'a anage huno zamasami'ne, Kasnampa ne'mofona mika vahe'mo'za antahi amiza, ra agi'a amigahazanagi, kuma'are vahe'mo'za antahi nomizageno, naga'amo'zane, noma'afi vahe'mo'zanena antahi omi'naze.
on which Jesus said: “A prophet is not without honour, except in his own country, and among his own relations, and in his own home.”
5 Anampina mago'a kaguvazana Agra eri fore osu'neanagi, mago mago kri vahete azanteno zamazeri so'e huzmantetere hu'ne.
And he could not work any miracle there, beyond placing his hands upon a few infirm persons, and curing them;
6 Hanki zamentintima osaza'zankura Jisasi'a antahintahi hakare nehuno, mago'a kuma tamimpi vano huno, Agra rempi huzami'ne.
and he wondered at the want of faith shown by the people. Jesus went round the villages, one after another, teaching.
7 Hagi Jisasi'a 12fu'a amage nentaza disaipol naga zamagi hige'za ageno, tare tare huno hunezmanteno, agru osu havi avamu humazmante hihamu zami'ne.
He called the Twelve to him, and began to send them out as his Messengers, two and two, and gave them authority over foul spirits.
8 Agra amana hugahaze huno zamasami'ne, Nevanutama bretine, kutamine, zagonena erinetama oviho, azompage eritma viho.
He instructed them to take nothing but a staff for the journey — not even bread, or a bag, or pence in their purse;
9 Tamaga ano vazigahazanagi, tare kukena hutma oviho.
but they were to wear sandals, and not to put on a second coat.
10 Ina nonte'ma vanutma, ana nompinke maninetma ana kumara atretma viho.
“Whenever you go to stay at a house,” he said, “remain there till you leave that place;
11 Hagi mago kumate nevanage'za oramavrege, naneketimi ontahisagetma zamatreta nevuta, tamagareti kugusopa rupopo hunetretma vinke'za, anazama hanaza zamo'a hazenkefi mani'naze huno zamaveri hino.
and if a place does not welcome you, or listen to you, as you go out of it shake off the dust that is on the soles of your feet, as a protest against them.”
12 Ana hige'za amage'ma nentaza disaipol naga'mo'za vu'za, zmagu'a rukrehe hanazegu, mono kea ome huama hu'za mika vahe zmasami'naze.
So they set out, and proclaimed the need of repentance.
13 Ana nehu'za zamagra rama'a havi avamura hunezmante'za, krima eri'naza vahe'mokizimi, masave tagi'za frenezmante'za, zamazeri kanamare'naze.
They drove out many demons, and anointed with oil many who were infirm, and cured them.
14 Hagi kini ne' Heroti'a Jisasi agi agenkemo'a ra higeno nentahige'za, mago'amo'za hu'za mono ti frezmante Joni fri'nefinti oti'negu kagu'vazana nehie hu'naze.
Now King Herod heard of Jesus; for his name had become well known. People were saying — “John the Baptizer must have risen from the dead, and that is why these miraculous powers are active in him.”
15 Hianagi mago'amo'za Elaiaj'e hu'za nehazageno, mago'amo'za hu'za, agra korapa mani'naza kasnampa vahekna nere hu'naze.
Others again said — “He is Elijah,” and others — “He is a Prophet, like one of the great Prophets.”
16 Hagi mago'ane Heroti'ma nentahino'a anage hu'ne, Joni agenama akafrinoa ne'mo otino e'negahie! Hu'ne.
But when Herod heard of him, he said — “The man whom I beheaded — John — he must be risen!”
17 Na'ankure nefu, Filipi nenaro Herotiasi, Herotima rehanare'nea agenke Jonima huama hu'neazanku, Heroti'a huzmantege'za Jonina ome azeri'za kina nompi ome ante'naze.
For Herod himself had sent and arrested John, and put him in prison, in chains, to please Herodias, the wife of his brother Philip, because Herod had married her.
18 Na'ankure Joni'a hanavetino ke huvava huno Herotina asamino, negafu a'ma rehanarenka a'ma erinanana kasege rufutaginka knare avu'avara osu'nane.
For John had said to Herod — “You have no right to be living with your brother’s wife.”
19 Ana higeno Herodiasi'a Jonina rimpa ahenteno ahe frinaku hu'ne. Hianagi ahe ofri'ne.
So Herodias was incensed against John, and wanted to put him to death, but was unable to do so,
20 Na'ankure Heroti'a Joninku koro nehuno, kegava krintene. Na'ankure agra antahino keno hu'ne. Joni'a fatgo huno ruotage hu'nea nere. Joni agenke nentahino agogogu hu'neanagi, Jonima hania kema antahinakura muse hu'ne.
because Herod stood in fear of John, knowing him to be an upright and holy man, and protected him. He had listened to John, but still remained much perplexed, and yet he found pleasure in listening to him.
21 Mago kankamu eforema hu'neana, Herotima kasente'nea kna fore higeno, muse huno kasente'nea kna'are ne'za nenaku atru nehu'za, agri nompima eri'zama e'neriza vahe'ene, sondia vahe'mokizimi ugagota kva vahe'ene, Heroti'a ne'zana ne'ne.
A suitable opportunity, however, occurred when Herod, on his birthday, gave a dinner to his high officials, and his generals, and the foremost men in Galilee.
22 Herodiasi mofamo'a efreno avoa eme nehagegeno, Heroti'ene ne'za neku zamagima hu'nea vahe'mo'za muse hu'naze. Ana hazageno Heroti'a ana kasefa mofara asamino, na'ankuro kave'masinia zanku'ma nantahi kesnanke'na, amane kamigahue hu'ne.
And when his daughter — that is, the daughter of Herodias — came in and danced, she delighted Herod and those who were dining with him. “Ask me for whatever you like,” the King said to the girl, “and I will give it to you”;
23 Heroti'a huvempa huno ana mofara asamino, na'ankuro kavesinesia zanku'ma nantahi kesnankena amane negamina, kegavama kri'noa kumara amu'nompintira refko hu'na kamigahue.
and he swore to her that he would give her whatever she asked him — up to half his kingdom.
24 Anage higeno ana mofa'mo atiramino vuno, nererankura na'ane hu'na ome antahigegahue? Higeno nerera'a anage hu'ne, mono ti frezmante Joni agenope hunka ome huo huno asamigeno,
The girl went out, and said to her mother “What must I ask for?” “The head of John the Baptizer,’ answered her mother.
25 ana mofa'mo'a ame huno Herotinte vuno, menintfa Mono ti frezmante Joni agenopa rukafrinka zuompafi antenka erinka eme namisane huno higeno,
So she went in as quickly as possible to the King, and made her request. “I want you,” she said, “to give me at once, on a dish, the head of John the Baptist.”
26 Kini ne'mo'a nentahino Joninkura tusiza huno asuragi ante'neanagi, hanave huvempa kema mofa'ama agrane mani'naza vahe zamufi hunte'nea kegu nentahino, i'ora osu'ne.
The King was much distressed; yet, on account of his oath and of the guests at his table, he did not like to refuse her.
27 Hagi kini ne'mo'a ame huno agenama ome akafri vahe huntegeno kina nompi vuno, Joni agena ome akafrine.
He immediately dispatched one of his bodyguard, with orders to bring John’s head. The man went and beheaded John in the prison,
28 Ana ne'mo'a agenopa'a zoumpafi erino vuno, ana mofa ome ami'geno, ana mofamo erino vuno nererana ome ami'ne.
and, bringing his head on a dish, gave it to the girl, and the girl gave it to her mother.
29 Hagi Joni amage'ma nentaza disaipol naga'mo'za ana kema nentahi'za, avufa'a emeri'za havegampi ome asente'naze.
When John’s disciples heard of it, they came and took his body away, and laid it in a tomb.
30 Anante Jisasi aposol naga'mo'za, ehanati'za miko'zama nehu'za, vahe'ma rempima hu'zami'naza nanekea eme asami'naze.
When the Apostles came back to Jesus, they told him all that they had done and all that they had taught.
31 Jisasi'a anage huno zamasami'ne, Nagrane enketa vahe omanitega onsia umanikasa hamneno, (na'ankure vahe'mo'za vute'ete hazageno, ne'zama nesaza knazimi omanenegure.)
“Come by yourselves privately to some lonely spot,” he said, “and rest for a while” — for there were so many people coming and going that they had not time even to eat.
32 Zamagraku vahe omani kaziga vunaku votifi mareri'za vu'naze.
So they set off privately in their boat for a lonely spot.
33 Hianagi zahufama nevazageno, hakare veamo'za e'irega vazanki hu'za nentahi'za, mopafi rugagi'za miko kumapinti veamo'za kote'za anama umanisare, ko umani'naze.
And many people saw them going, and recognised them, and from all the towns they flocked together to the place on foot, and got there before them.
34 Hagi Jisasi'ma anante uhanitino votifinti'ma takaureno, tusi'a vea kevu nezamageno'a asunku huzmante'ne. Na'ankure zamagra kvazimi omani sipisipigna hu'nazageno agafa huno hakare kea rempi huzami'ne.
On getting out of the boat, Jesus saw a great crowd, and his heart was moved at the sight of them, because they were ‘like sheep without a shepherd’; and he began to teach them many things.
35 Hagi kinaga nesegeno'a amage'ma nentaza disaipol naga'mo'za Jisasinte e'za anage hu'naze, Vahe omani ka'ma kopi mani'nonkeno hago kinaga nesegu,
When it grew late, his disciples came up to him, and said: “This is a lonely spot, and it is already late.
36 huzmantege'za hozafi kiza mani'naza kumapine, kuma tamimpi vu'za ne'zama nesazazana ome miza seho hu'naze.
Send the people away, so that they may go to the farms and villages around and buy themselves something to eat.”
37 Hianagi Jisasi'a anage huno zamasami'ne, Tamagratmi ne'zana zaminke'za neho, hige'za zamagra anage hu'naze, 8'a ikampi eri'za erino miza eriga mizanteti ne'zana mizaseta zamigara hu'ne hu'za asami'naze.
But Jesus answered: “It is for you to give them something to eat.” “Are we to go and buy twenty pounds’ worth of bread,” they asked, “to give them to eat?”
38 Agra anage huno zamasami'ne, Nama'a breti eri'nazafi ome keho? Huno hige'za ome kete'za e'za 5fu'a bretigi, tare nozame me'ne hu'za hu'naze.
“How many loaves have you?” he asked; “Go, and see.” When they had found out, they told him: “Five, and two fishes.”
39 Anante Jisasi'a amage'ma nentaza disaipol naga'a huzmanteno, zafa asinage hu'nea apepate huzmantenke'za omeri atru, eme eritru hu'za maniho huno huzmante'ne.
Jesus directed them to make all the people take their seats on the green grass, in parties;
40 Maka vahe'mo'za refko hu'za mago'a kevufina 100'a vahe nemanizageno, mago'a kevufina 50'a nemanizageno hutere hu'naze.
and they sat down in groups — in hundreds, and in fifties.
41 Mani'nageno 5fu'a bretine, tare noza'ene erino kesga huno monafi negeno, Anumzamofontega susu huteno, eri korino amage'ma nentaza disaipol naga'a veva hanazegu nezamino, nozamea anazanke huno refko huno zami'ne.
Taking the five loaves and the two fishes, Jesus looked up to Heaven, and said the blessing; he broke the loaves into pieces, and gave them to his disciples for them to serve out to the people, and he divided the two fishes also among them all.
42 Ana maka'mo'za nazageno zamu hu'ne.
Every one had sufficient to eat;
43 Nene'zama atraza bretine, noza enena zogi'za, 12fu'a eka eka kupi eri avite'naze.
and they picked up enough broken pieces to fill twelve baskets, as well as some of the fish.
44 Bretima ne'nazana 5tauseni'a venenemo'za ne'naze.
The men who ate the bread were five thousand in number.
45 Hagi Jisasi'a ame huno amagema nentaza disaipol naga'a votifi vugote'za kantu Betsaida kaziga vihogu huzmantage'za nevazageno, vahetaminkura viho huno huzmante'ne.
Immediately afterwards Jesus made his disciples get into the boat, and cross over in advance, in the direction of Bethsaida, while he himself was dismissing the crowd.
46 Viho huno huso'e huzmanteteno, agonarega nunamu hunaku vu'ne.
After he had taken leave of the people, he went away up the hill to pray.
47 Kinagama segeno'a votimo'a timofo amunompi nevigeno, Agrake moparera mani'ne.
When evening fell, the boat was out in the middle of the Sea, and Jesus on the shore alone.
48 Jisasi'a nezmagege'za, tusi maraguzati'za azotanu tina vakakiza vu'naze. Na'ankure zahomo tusiza huno eme zamaretunefege'za, maraguzati'za nevazageno ko'ma atu masa hu'za nehigeno, Jisasi'a timofo avozare eno zamagatere'za nehige'za,
Seeing them labouring at the oars — for the wind was against them — about three hours after midnight Jesus came towards them, walking on the water, intending to join them.
49 zamagrama timofo agofetu nevigeza nege'za, zamagesama antahi'zana hankrore nehu'za zamagogo nehu'za krafa hu'naze.
But, when they saw him walking on the water, they thought it was a ghost, and cried out;
50 Na'ankure makamo'za nege'za zmagogogu hu'naze. Hianagi hantaka huno anage huno zamasami'ne, Nagragi oti hanavenetita, korora osiho.
for all of them saw him, and were terrified. But Jesus at once spoke to them. “Courage!” he said, “it is I; do not be afraid!”
51 Anage huteno mani'naza ventefi marerigeno, zaho'mo amane nehige'za tusiza hu'za antri hu'naze.
Then he got into the boat with them, and the wind dropped. The disciples were utterly amazed,
52 Na'ankure bretima tamanasino zami'nea zamofo agafa'a, ke so'e osazageno zamagu'amo hanavetine.
for they had not understood about the loaves, their minds being slow to learn.
53 Hanki kantu kaziga takahe'za Genesareti mopare uhanati'za, votia kina rentete'za,
When they had crossed over, they landed at Gennesaret, and moored the boat.
54 ana votifinti atineramizageno'a, vahe'mo'za ame hu'za Jisasi'e hu'za keama nehu'za,
But they had no sooner left her than the people, recognising Jesus,
55 zamaga re'za vu'za e'za hu'za, ana kazigama me'nea maka kumatamimpinti kri vahetamina sesenku hu'za zamavarente'za, Jisasima mani'ne hu'zama hazankumate vu'naze.
hurried over the whole country-side, and began to carry about upon mats those who were ill, wherever they heard he was.
56 Hagi ina osi kumatero rankumatero, hozafi ki'za mani'naza kumapino, Jisasi'ma virega kri vahera zamavare'za maketi kumapi ome zmantene'za, Knare zamatresanke'za za'za kena kamofo atupare azerigahuno huza antahinege'za, kukena'arema avakoma hazamokizmia kri zamimo'a vagare'ne.
So wherever he went — to villages, or towns, or farms — they would lay their sick in the market-places, begging him to let them touch only the tassel of his cloak; and all who touched were made well.
