< Ruku 23 >
1 Ana maka vahe'mo'za erihantage'za Paerotinte, Jisasina avre'za vu'za,
AND the whole multitude of them rising up, led him to Pilate,
2 amanage hu'za erigafa hu'za naneke hunte'za, tagra konkeno ama ne'mo'a havi kante Jiu vahetia zmareno nevuno, Sisana takesi zagoa omiho nehuno, Agra'agura huno Nagra Kraisina kini mani'noe hu'ne.
and began to accuse him, saying, We have found this fellow perverting the nation, and forbidding to pay tribute to Caesar; pretending that he himself is the King Messiah.
3 Ana hazageno, Paeroti'a Jisasina anage huno antahigene, Kagra Jiu vahe'mofo kinio? Jisasi'a ana kenona'a anage huno hu'ne, Ha e'i kagraka'a nehane.
Then Pilate interrogated him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And he answering said to him, Thou sayest so.
4 Anante Paeroti'a ugagota pristi vahe'ene, ana vahe kevugura anage huno zmasamine, nagra ama ne'mofompina mago hazenke zama'a kena eri fore osue.
Then said Pilate unto the chief priests and the multitudes, I find nothing culpable in this man.
5 Hianagi zamagra hu hankveti'za, agra rama'a vahe'mokizmi zamarimpa zamazeri otino, maka Judia kaziga rempi huzami'ne. Anazamo'a Galiliti agafa huno amarera ehanati'ne.
But they were urgent, saying, He stirreth up the people, teaching through all Judea, beginning from Galilee even to this place.
6 Paeroti'a ana naneke nentahino, Jisasi'a Galili ne' mani'neo huno hu'ne.
When Pilate heard of Galilee, he asked whether the man were a Galilean?
7 Hagi Paerotima antahiama, Jisasi'a Heroti kvagri'nea mopafinti e'ne nehuno'a, Herotinte hunte'ne. Heroti'a ana knafina Jerusalemi emaninegeno huntege'za avare'za vu'naze.
And when he knew that he came out of Herod’s jurisdiction, he sent him to Herod, who was himself at Jerusalem in those days.
Now when Herod saw Jesus, he was vastly delighted: for he had been long desirous to see him, because he had heard many things of him; and he hoped to see some miracle wrought by him.
9 Heroti'a rama'a antahige naneke hianagi, Jisasi'a kenona'a osu mani'ne.
And he put a variety of questions to him; but he made him no reply.
10 Hagi ugagota pristi vahe'mo'zane, kasegere ugota hu'naza vahe'mo'za, anante oti'za mani'ne'za, hu hankveti'za Jisasina kegaga hunte'naze.
And the chief priests and the scribes stood up vehemently accusing him.
11 Hanki Heroti'ene sondia vahe'ane, Jisasina revatga vatago nehu'za, azanava anteza azeri haviza hute'za, knare avonke kukena eri antaninente'za, huzmantege'za Paerotinte ete avre'za vu'naze.
Then Herod with his guards treated him with contempt, and in derision clothed him in a splendid robe, and sent him back to Pilate.
12 Na'ankure zanagra kora ha' vahe tro hune manina'ankino, ana knazupage, Paeroti'ene Herotikea erimago zanarimpa hu'na'e.
And Pilate and Herod the same day became friends together: for they had previously been at enmity with each other.
13 Hagi Paeroti'a ugota pristi vahezagane, kva vahezagane, vahetamine kehutru huno,
Then Pilate, convoking the chief priests and the rulers and the people,
14 anage huno zamasami'ne, Ama ne'ma avretma nagritema aza nekura hutma, vahetamina avreno havi kante nevie hutma hazanagi keho, nagrama tamagri tamavuga Agri'ma rezaganena koana, tamagrama hunentaza kemofona agafa'a kena erifore osue.
said unto them, Ye have brought this man to me, as one who perverteth the people: and lo! on examining him before you, I have found nothing culpable in this man, respecting the charges ye bring against him:
15 Heroti'enena magozahu antahintahi hu'negu, ama nera huntegeno tagritega e'ne. Antahiho, ama nera magore huno ahefriga hazenke osu'ne.
nor Herod neither: for I referred you to him; and, lo, nothing is done to this man, as if he deserved death.
16 E'ina hu'negu, kanonkeve amitena atresugeno vugahie huno Paeroti'a hu'ne.
I will therefore, after scourging, discharge him.
17 [Amanahukna nehazane, kafune kafunena Anumzamo'ma Israeli vahema ozamahe zamagtere'negu antahimi ne'za neknarera, Paeroti'a kina nompinti mago vahe kazufe zamitere nehiane.]
(Now he held it necessary to release one to them at the feast.)
18 Hianagi maka vahe'mo'za ranke hu'za kezati'za, Jisasina avreta ome ahenefrita, Barabasi katufe tamio! hu'naze.
Then the whole multitude set up a cry, saying, Away with this fellow, and release unto us Barabbas!
19 [Barabasi'a, Jerusalemi rankumate kamani vahe ha' renezmanteno, mago vahe ahefrigeza kina huntageno mani'nea nere.]
(who for a certain sedition raised in the city, and for murder, had been cast into prison.)
20 Paeroti Jisasima atresigeno vanigu, mago'ene veara zamantahigene.
Again therefore Pilate called out to them, desirous to see Jesus at liberty.
21 Hianagi zamagra mago'ane kezatiza, Rugeka zafare aheta hantiho! Rugeka zafare aheta hantiho! Huza nehazageno,
But they clamoured the more, saying, Crucify, crucify him.
22 Paeroti'a mago'ene 3'a zupa zamantahigeno, Nagafarere? Nankna hazenke ama ne'mo'a hu'negeta nehaze? Nagrama kena eri fore'ma huana, friga hazenke'a osu'ne. E'ina hu'negu nagra kanonkeve amitena atresugeno vugahie.
Then the third time he said to them, What evil hath this man done? I have found nothing deserving death in him: I will therefore, after scourging, discharge him.
23 Hianagi zamagra kazigazi hu'za, rankefinti antahige'za, Rugeka zafare ahefrio hu'zama hazankemo, Paerotina agu'a azeri rukrehe hu'ne.
But they were instant with the most clamorous vociferations, soliciting that he might be crucified. And their clamours, and those of the chief priests, bore him down.
24 Hagi kema hazare, Paeroti'a antahintahi'a retrohuno Jisasinkura ahefriho hu'ne.
Then Pilate decreed that their petition should be granted.
25 Hagi zamagrama kamani vahe ha' renezmanteno vahe zamahe fri'nege'za kina hunte'naza neku'ma antahigaza ne' katufe nezamino, hanki Jisasina ahefrisunema hazagu avarezami'ne.
Then released he to them him who for sedition and murder had been cast into prison; but he gave up Jesus to their will.
And as they led him out, laying hold on one Simon, a Cyrenian, who was coming from the country, they laid on him the cross, to carry after Jesus.
27 Jisasina tusi'a vea kevumo'za avaririza nevazageno, ananpina mago'a a'nenagamo'za zamasunku hunente'za, zavite'za vu'naze.
And a great multitude of the people and of women followed him, who also beat their breasts and lamented him bitterly.
28 Hianagi Jisasi'a rukrahe huno nezmageno amanage huno zamasmi'ne, Jerusalemi kumate a'nemota nagrikura zavira oteta, tamagragu'ene mofavretamigu'enenku zavira ateho.
But Jesus turning to them, said, Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for me, but for yourselves, and for your children.
29 Antahiho, mago kna ne-eankiza vahe'mo'za anage hugahaze, narvo a'ne mo'zane, mofavre onte'anene, mofavre ami anuntage nosnamo'za muse hiho hu'za hugahaze.
For, behold, the days are coming, in which they shall say, Blessed are the barren, and the wombs which have not borne, and the breasts which never suckled.
30 Ana nehu'za zamagra agafa huza, ra agonamoka ankrisenka refiteranto, hu'za nehu'za, osi 'agonagura refiteranto hu'za hugahaze. (Hos 10:8)
Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us! and to the hills, Cover us!
31 Na'ankure kasefa huno me'nenia zafamofoma e'inahuma huntesuza, osapa zafamofona inanknaza fore hugahie?
For if they do all these things with the green wood, what will be done with the dry?
32 Tare kumzafa netrene, Jisasine magoka zanahe frisazegu zanavre'za vu'naze.
Now there were two other persons, malefactors, led out with him to be executed.
33 Aseni zaferine (Golkote) nehaza agonarema zamagra vute'za, Jisasine tare kumzafa netrena keka zafare zamahe'za hanti'naze. Magomofona Jisasi azantmaga ahe'za nehantiza, magomofona aza hoga hanti'naze.
And when they came to a place called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, the one on the right hand, and the other on the left.
(Sam-Zga 22:18)
And Jesus said, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. Then dividing his garments, they cast the lot.
35 Ana nehazageno, hakare veamo'za anante otine'za uruha nehazageno, kva vahe'mo'zanena azanvanke hunte'za, vahe'mokizmia zamza nehia neki, Anumzamo huhamprintenemo Kraisi'ma mani'nesuno'a atregeno agra'a agu'vazisnigura kamaneno hu'za nehazageno,
And the people stood looking on. And the rulers also with them derided him, saying, He saved others; let him save himself, if this fellow is the Messiah, the elect of God.
36 sondia vahe'mo'zanena azanava ke nehu'za, akahe'nea waini tina eme nemiza,
And the soldiers also insulted him, coming and offering him vinegar,
37 Kagra Jiu vahe'mokizmi kinima mani'nesunka, kagra ka'a kaguvazio! hu'za hu'naze.
and saying, if thou art the King of the Jews, save thyself.
38 Hanki asenirega anage hu'za avona kreza ome hentenaze, ama'i Jiu vahe'mokizmi kinie.
And there was an inscription written over him in Greek, Roman, and Hebrew characters, THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.
39 Mago kumzafa ne'ma aheza hantinaza nemo'enena Jisasina kesuno, Kagra Kraisiga omaninano? Kagraka'a kagu'nevazinka, tagri'enena taguvzio!
Then one of the suspended malefactors blasphemed him, saying, If thou art the Messiah, save thyself and us.
40 Hianagi mago'mo'a azerikorino, kagra Anumzamofonkura korera nosano? Ana mikomota anahukna knazampi mani'none.
But the other addressing him, rebuked him, saying, Hast thou no fear of God, when thou art under the same condemnation?
41 Tagra tamage huta hazenke hu'noa zamofo nona'a, eriga knaza eneru'e. Hianagi ama ne'mo'a mago hazenke osu'ne.
And we indeed justly, for we receive deserved punishment for the crimes we have committed: but this man hath done nothing amiss.
42 Anantera anage huno ana ne'mo'a hu'ne, Jisasiga hihamukafima manisunka kagesa antahinamio.
And he said to Jesus, Remember me, Lord, when thou comest in thy kingdom.
43 Higeno Jisasi'a anage huno ana nera asami'ne, Tamage hu'na negasamue, kagra menina Nagrane mona avasese zama'ane kumapina Paradaisi umanigahane.
And Jesus said to him. Verily I say unto thee, To-day thou shalt be with me in paradise.
44 Hagi 12 kilokinaza higeno, maka mopafina hanimo refitegeno, kinaga 3 kilokuma higeno rumsa hu'ne.
And it was about the sixth hour, and there was darkness over all the land until the ninth hour.
45 Na'ankure zagemo'a ananknafina remsa osu'ne. Hagi ra mono nompi tafinaza tavravemo'a amu'nompinti ruhakeke huno fenkamu uramine.
And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst.
46 Jisasi'a ranke huno, Nafa'nimoka kagri kazampi avamuni'a antoe nehuno vagare asimu atreno frine. (Sam-Zga 31:5)
And Jesus crying with a loud voice, said, Father, into thy hands I commit my spirit: and having said this, he expired.
47 Sondia vahe'mokizmi kva ne'mo'a anazama hiazama negeno'a, agafa huno Anumzamofo agi erisaga nehuno, tamage ama fatgo nekino hazenkea omnene hu'ne.
And the centurion observing what had come to pass, glorified God, saying, Verily this man was a righteous person.
48 Hanki maka vea kevumo'za anazama fore hu'neaza ome kete'za ne-eza, zamasunku zampi zamarimpare zamaza refiteriri hu'za vu'naze.
And all the multitudes who had come together for this spectacle, when they saw the things which were done, beating their breasts, returned.
49 Hanki maka Jisasi rone'amo'zane, Galili kazigati Agrane e'naza a'nanemo'zane, ogantu umani'ne'za ana zama fore hiazana ke'naze.
And all his acquaintance stood afar off, and the women which followed him from Galilee, beholding these things.
50 Mago nera Josefe'e nehaza nekino knare huno fatgo avu'va ene ne', kanisol vahe'pina mani'ne.
And lo! a man named Joseph, being a member of the council, a good man, and a just;

(who had not given his assent to their determination and deed; ) being of Arimathea, a city of the Jews: who himself also expected the coming of the kingdom of God.
52 Ana ne'mo'a Jisasi avufga erino ome asentenigu, Paeroti ome antahigeteno,
He went in to Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus.
53 vuno rugeka zafareti Jisasi avufga ome eri fenkma atreno, efeke tavravefi anovazino erino have fregeno hanagatinte'nea kampi ome antene. Magore huno ana havegampina kora fri vahera ome ontenefi ome ante'ne.
And taking it down from the cross, he wrapped it in linen cloth, and laid it in a sepulchre hewn out of a rock, where none had ever yet lain.
54 Mani fruhu kna (Sabat) eza hige'za ana knarera retrotra nehaza kna fore hu'ne.
And that was the preparation-day, and the sabbath’s twilight was approaching.
55 Galiliti Jisasi amagema ante'za e'naza a'nemo'za, ana havegampima avufga'ama antazana ke'naze.
Then the women also, his attendants, who had followed him out of Galilee, observed the sepulchre, and how his corpse was laid out.
56 Anante rukrahe hu'za vu'za mana nentake'zane, masavene retro ome hu'naze. Mani fruhu kna (Sabat) zupa kasegemoma hu'nea kante anteza manigsa hu'naze.
And returning, they made preparation of aromatics and unguents; and they rested the sabbath-day, according to the commandment.
